Returns via Inbound Delivery

Hi All
If 100 items Goods are Receipted with a Purchase Order using Inbound Delivery. It is then discovered that the entire 100 items are damaged,  what is the transaction to return these items
Vishnu

Hi,
You can use the normal 122 movement type.
Just because the items were received via inbound deliveries does not force you to return them via the same method.
So I would try the normal 122 option first.

  • GR via Inbound Delivery or Purchase Order

    Hi,
Inbound Delivery has been created for the purchase order, but we still can perform goods receipt to purchase order via MIGO --> Purchase order, my question is, it should not be possible to perform GR against purchase order directly once inbound delivery was created, so which setting is missing?
    Kindly please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    my situation is:
    - a WM managed warehouse, society A;
    - a HU managed warehouse (without WM), society B;
    - a purchasing process of HU from society A towards society B.
Society B have a scheduling agreement; when a delivery schedule appears, in society A born a sales order and a delivery. After the registration of the delivery good issue, an idoc transfer information for inbound delivery creation.
This process is ok without WM, but with a WM managed warehouse the idoc has the following problem:
"V51VP - item was not found - process cancelled".
Can you help me to transfer these HU?

  • Creation of Inbound delivery mandatory for ASN process in classic scenario?

    Dear Experts,
We are going for classic scenario for our green field SRM implementation process. Our client is not using  ASN process in their existing MM process. However, they are now looking for an oppurtunity to enable Suppliers to trigger ASN using SUS. In such case, is creation of inbound delivery from Buyer side a mandatory process?
Is the below the process correct?
PO -> ASN (Supplier using SUS) -> Inbound delivery (Optional) -> Goods Receipt (Mandatory) -> Invoicing.
Here, I understand that Goods receipt can be verified against the PO or via Inbound delivery to PO. ASN will inform the store keeper in advance about impending goods receipt and smoothen the confirmation process.
Could you please comment on the above process? Could you please suggest the best practices followed here?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan
    Ranjan Sutradhar

    Hey Ranjan!,
    You are on track.
The process flow you have shown is true. ASN is available as a standard as part of the MM-SUS process. It makes the buyer aware of any delays in delivery or to make arrangements on shipping docks to receive goods on a said date etc.

  • Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery before Transfer Order

    Hello Experts,
Below is the normal process in case of GR via inbound delivery.
PO -> Inbound Delivery -> TO -> Confirm TO -> Post Goods Receipt in Delivery.
My client wants as per the normal Purchase Order cycle as below.
PO -> Inbound Delivery -> Post goods receipt in Delivery -> TO - > Confirm TO.
I have found some config for this as per below path.
Logistics - General -> Handling Unit Management -> Basics -> Delivery -> Define Sequence of Transfer Order - Goods Receipt.
I have done these settings but still it is not working.
I have couple of questions here.
    1. Are there some more settings required?
    2. Why SAP has designed this process in such a way for inbound delivery.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
I am working with non HU managed storage location. Can I still use this settings & process for inbound delivery?
I am stuck with one more question. SAP is not allowing me to create Inbound delivery for QM active materials.
The message it is saying is ....
Material CH-1440 1000 cannot be used in inbound delivery because QM is active
    Message no. L9528
    Diagnosis
QM is active for material CH-1440 in plant 1000. As a result, the material cannot be used in an inbound delivery item because the item is relevant for picking and because WM is active for the item.
This process is not supported in the current release.
    Procedure
Execute the putaway using a goods receipt posting with subsequent
putaway in the Warehouse Management system.
Can you please help me with this one also?

  • Order acknowledgment as inbound delivery

    Hi,
I'm trying to find out if there is a possibility to create Vendor order acknowledgment (AB type) with internal category '1' as inbound delivery?
We have both '1' (AB) and '2' (LA) types in confirmation control key setup, however when generating inbound deliveries only the 'LA' is taken.
So the question is whether there is any possibility to create first inbound delivery for 'AB' acknowledgment (non MRP-relevant)and then another one for shipping notification (which should be MRP-relevant)?
    Thanks,
    DM

This is purchasing process from external Vendors.
If not via inbound delivery, is there any other standard way to capture 'order acknowledgment' for PO (or Scheduling Agreements) than only in PO items? Any separate document that can be generated for ord. acknowledgment?

    DM

  • Putaway of Handling units via Inbound delviery

    Hi,
I have configured HUM for my warehouse & am putting away my handling units via Inbound delivery.
The system currently generates a transfer order for each & every HU/ storage unit that is created.
But i would like to create one single transfer order for every storage type. In other words one transfer order will contain all the storage units that are to be put-away per storage type.
Is there a setting to make the above mentioned possible. Do let me know if more clarity on my question is reqd.
    Thanks
    Kiran

  • How to enter a returnable packaging material during inbound delivery?

    Hi,
How do you add a returnable packaging material from vendor as a line item in the inbound delivery? When I try to add a LEIH type material as a line item in the inbound delivery (VL32N), the following error is displayed:
"No item category exists (Table T184L EL VERP  ELP)"
    Thanking you in advance,
    Sreelakshmi

    HI.
    Please reffer the below link.
ERROR : No item category exists (Table T184L LB VERP  )
Error while creating I/B delivery: No item category exists (Table T184L EL)
    1) EL = is the delivery type you are using for Returns to Vendors
    2) VERP = is the Item Category Group in the material master of
    3) ELP= Item Usage
You have to add the missing configuration as follow:
    IMGLogistics ExecutionShippingDeliveriesDefine Item Category
    Determination in Deliveries(Transaction 0184).
Create a new entry or copy from an existing one for VERP. NOTE: The Delivery Item Category RLLN is the standard defined by SAP, be
sure you enter the one defined in you company.
    Thanking you

  • Inbound delivery creation in STO via EDI/Idoc

    Hello experts,
    My requirement is like this:-
Stock transfer order is created for supplying plant 2000 & receiving plant 2010.
When the supplying plant 2000 posts an outbound delivery & PGI, at same time an Inbound delivery should be created in receiving plant 2010.
I know theoretically that this is achieved by making confirmation settings & output types. But don't know exactly how to configure it.
Can you please mention the process?
I have referred the scn threads:
Outbound Delivery to Inbound delivery by using IDOC
how to configure the message control for DESADV
    SAP note 111903
Receiving Vendor Confirmations via EDI - Purchasing (MM-PUR) - SAP Library
But there is lack of clarity from my side.

You do not need to use EDI messages to get an inbound delivery created when a PGI is done on the outbound delivery.
Search for the config on the SPED output type. This SPED output message can be triggered during the PGI which results in the creation of an inbound delivery in the receiving plant.
The receiving plant will have to maintain the confirmation control key 0004 at item level in the purchasing document.

  • Step for creating inbound delivery in case of customer return.

    Hi,
When I start vl31N I can create with reference to vendor or PO an inbound delivery.
How to create inbound delivery with reference to a customer return?
    What to do?
    Thank you in advance,
    Eric van Zundert.

    Hi,
You can try to create a copy control for return sales order to inbound delivery document. Depending on business requirements like combining vendor PO and returns sales orders, you can try to use VL31N.
If it is only returns sales orders that needs to be processed, then SAP standard document types and its associated copy control would help.
    Regards
P.S: Does your scenario relate to import process? I am in the same boat.

  • How to skip the Inbound Delivery while updating LA confirmations via EDI

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement wherein I dont want to create Inbound Delivery automatically when updating the LA (or a copied Conf Cat of LA) confirmation via EDI.  When we are using the message type DESADV, LA confirmations are being updated, but simultaneously, the Inbound delivery also being created.  My client desires that Inbound Delivery should not happen and only LA confirmation should be updated via EDI.
Is there anyway, by which we can skip the Inbound Delivery while updating the LA confirmations in the PO?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Radha Krishna

    Hi Prabhaharan,
    Thanks for your quick response.
My requirement is to have both AB and LA confirmations.  I have included these two in a new the conf control   So, your suggestion will not work.
Is there any other way out to fulfill my requirement?
    Thanks & Regards

  • Return(inbound delivery) creation through VL01N

    Hello,
I wud like to create Return(Inbound) delivery through VL01N transaction. Following is the process i' m following.
    1. create notification through IW51
    2. create repair order through IW52
3.create return delivery ( automatically) through VL01N with reference to repair order created in step no.2.
I have searched for Function module & BAPI, but it seems there are no FM & BAPI's for such requirement.
Can any one suggest me the Functional solution for above problem.
    Thanks,
    Anil

Normally from the Notifications, We create a Return Order ( Document Type  RE) automatically.  We need to the necessary configurations.
We can create the Return Delivery from VL01n. when you mention the return sales orde there the system automatically pulls the return Delivery type LR from the configuration of the sales document type RE.
otherwise you have to mention explicitly the document type = LR in the selection screen of Vl01n.
You Can use the same BAPI or FM ( the one used to create the Outbound Delivery ) and mention the document type as LR.

  • Copy data when creating GR return via delivery

    Dear all:
Is there any ways that I can copy header text (MKPF-BKTXT) to header data of delivery note? (LIKP-LIFEX)
This happens when I create return delivery in MIGO and tick "via delivery" in header.
System will automatically create a delivery note when I save this transaction.
I want to copy some information to delivery note. Other header field except LIKP-LIFEX is OK, too.
    Please advise. Thanks.

This is solved by Enhancement when creating GR return via delivery

  • Inbound Delivery via Idoc with more than 1 line fails

    Hi @ all,
i try to replicate inbound deliveries from an external system to SAP EWM using Idocs (SHP_IBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA02 with MessageType SHP_IBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA).
If there's only one position in inbound delivery it works, but if i try with two or more lines processing ends up with idoc-status 51 (WE02) and message 'Error inserting partner and location data at item level'  (SLG1).
Any ideas to solve this problem?
    kind regards

    Hello Markus,
"i try to replicate inbound deliveries from an external system to SAP EWM using Idocs".
you are trying to send the information from non sap system?. Can you elaborate the scenario.
Is the case you are sending ASN information directly to eWM system.
Seems the process is more interesting. Can you please share details.
