"Reusing" LUKS password for several instances

Is it possible to "reuse" the same password for multiple luks partitions so that only one password has to be entered during boot time?
Does something similar to /lib/cryptsetup/scripts/decrypt_derived in Debian exist in Arch?

I don't know whether duch a "decrypt_derived" script exists but as a "workaround" you can just create random keys for your non-root partitions, save these keys on your encrypted root partition and mount all your non root partitions via crypttab on boot after your root has been mounted.
Nice side-effect is that an attacker hat to get first the password to your root partition to retreive the keys for your other partitions or has to brute force each partition on it's own.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, testing after each one, until it's resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Follow the directions in this support article.
Step 2
Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device.
Step 3
Open the Keychains folder as in Step 1. There should be a file in that folder with the name "login.keychain". If there is also a file iwith the name "login_renamed_1.keychain", then please do as follows:
Rename login.keychain to "login-old.keychain".
Rename login_renamed_1.keychain to "login.keychain".
You can then close the folder.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Delete the login keychain from the keychain list. Choose Delete References when prompted, not Delete References & Files.
Select
File ▹ Add Keychain...
from the menu bar. Add back the file now named "login.keychain". If any of your needed keychain items are missing from it, also add back the file now named "login-old.keychain". I suggest you transfer any needed items from that keychain to the login keychain, then delete it. The transfers are made by drag-and-drop in Keychain Access. You'll need to enter your password for each item transferred.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

Hi, I have several applications in one workspace with custom authentication. How do I set the option to save password (which is same for all apps) , so I would not write password every time when switching from application to application. Thank you

Thank youIf you are using the same authentication for all your applications, then you can redirect to those applications just same as you redirect to the current app by just changing the app_id
you can use a same session cookie name for all applications and make sure all apps use same authentication scheme
Edit you application A > Shared Components > Authentication Scheme > edit your authentication > Session Cookie Attributes section
set Cookie Name value to somestring
for example: commonauthcookie
Repeat the above step for all other applications and set the cookie name to the same as above

Why can't I reuse a password for a full year?

This may sound stupid, but it is my account and I should be able to call the shots. I don't have a perfect memory and use passwords over again. I tried to change to my old password, changing capitalization, and Apple refuses.

I answered your question yesterday, and Apple removed it. I don't expect either company to feel any pain if I don't use them. My point is, I do have a choice. It should not be up to Apple to decide what my password can be. If someone were to crack my password, they will find 14 cents on my iTunes account. I am responsible that way, no credit cards, no large balance of funds. I don't see the need in paying for a password management program. It is frustrating that I cannot see when the last time was my password was changed, so I could anticipate when a year was up. Also annoying, being told to use an upper-case letter, and numbers in my password. I do have a brain of my own, and can figure out a decent password. I use to work in radio, so finding a group of letters and numbers should be easily. So, what if my password is all caps? Is that okay with Apple??

I'm using a dynamic proxy with a simple invocation handler. Using the proxy for several instances of the target object should yield multiple instances of the proxy. In the debugger, each proxy instance is named $proxy0 with different ids. Can someone please elaborate on this? Specifically, the Proxy instance is created using the target object. Thus, how can each proxy instance have the same name, when different target objects (of the same type though) are used to construct the Proxy object? Is the Proxy instance the same regardless of the target object?

is it the same proxy that is instantiated three times (obviously)?It is the same proxy class that is instantiated three times. Obviously. Because that is the only meaning for 'instantiate' in Java.
But how can that be when the target object for each Proxy instance is different?Because they are three different instances of the same class, each with a different target object.
What's the problem here?

Note - if your older apps needs an update it will use your old apple id and password, as Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it.
You can't merge apple id.

Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not phone
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore
