Revaluation in stock transfer to Sales Order stock from unrestricted

User is trying to do a stock transfer posting from unrestricted to Sales order stock. Now the system is throwing an error saying that account setting has not been done for UMB (OBYC setting). I have given the GL for this UMB transaction type in OBYC> UMB is for posting Gain/Loss from revaluation.
I dont understand how a revauation happens when we transfer stock from unrestricted to Sales Order Stock ? What is the purpose of that in our scenario, could you please explain.

Normally it should not happen in case of stock transfer posting. Please check the movement type settings for valuation class of your material and see if the transaction type UMB has been set against valuation class in OMJJ...Account grouping.

The scenario will be like this:
In MTO scenario goods will be produced for the sales order & stock will be sales order stock.
In this scenarion, suppose after production of goods , customer refuses to take the same.
Because the stock will be assigned tosales order, & it can not be issed to another sales order.
The we have to make stock transferfrom sales order stock to own stock & issue to another sales order.
Of course you have to make some other config settings if requd forthe system to allow this.

i have make to order got order from customer. the material is treated as a special stock and va01 is created. and material is produced and put into sales order stock.
now customer cancelled the order. but another customer wanted the same material with same quantity. What are the step by step procedure to transfer the sales order stock to another customer.

Dear Experts,
we produced a material of length 5000mm for one sale order which is in fgstock ( 100 pcs ) , but suddenly need to transfer material for other sale order of length 4000mm ( 75 pcs ) , for some other requirment. For that we need to recut material 5000mm to 4000mm . How to change finished material in SAP from 5000mm to 4000mm. We dont want to create any bom , routing and production order and doing confirmation . Please advice some simple procedure by-passing PP route.

You can do the same through Transfer posting.
1) Use transaction MB1B, Movment type 411E
2) Give the sales order no from which you wanted to utilize the stock, material no & Quantity as only 75 PCS (4000 M).
3) Post the material document, Now the 4000 M will be in unrestricted stock.
4) Now again Use the transaction MB1B, Movement type 412 E
5) Give the sales order no for which you wanted to transfer the stock, material & Qty as 75 PCS (4000M).
6) Post the material document, Now the Qty 4000M will be in the another sales order for which against you wanted to dispatch.

Issue regarding transfer of sales order stock to another location

Scenario:
Sales order stock to be transported to the port(secong plant) from manufacturing unit (plant 1) and to be delivered to the customer from port (second plant ). whereas the sales order is raised at manufacturing unit (plant 1).
Steps followed:
Step 1 : Customer gives the sales order at Plant (1)
Step 2 : STO is done from Plant (2)
Step 3 : VL10B with reference to STO is done
Step 4 : VL02N is done with reference to outbound delivery
Step 5 : GRN at Plant (2) with reference to outboubd delivery
Step 6 : Delivery to the customer
In this scenario, the sales order stock is not picked whereas the unrestricted stock is being picked. we are doing MIGO to send the sales order stock to unrestricted stock and then picking this stock.
whereas the client wants sales order stock to be picked directly without using movement type 411 E, as this is a daily process.
can you suggest any solution / movement type that picks the sales order stock directly and also gives the delivery document ( as we tried doing with movement type 301, we are not getting any delivery documents).

Transfer of Sales Order stock - MTO scenario

Hi,
We have a situation in a MTO scenario, in MMBE we see a Sales Order stock for a material.
THe Sales order is archived from the system and he corresponding PP order is also in TECO status.
We need ot use that Sales order stock and transferit unrestricted.
We cannot use any of the movement types as we get the error message Sales order is archived and does not exist.
Is there any way we can use the Sales order stock. Please suggest something orther than reversing the PP cycle.

for our SAP retail solution - we have requirements for moving Consignment stock to Sales order stock for home delivery . Then Sales order stock needs to be withdrawn for inter company 643 movement . The stock determination is maintained as K first & then F with relevent settings in SPRO & article master, for consignment article -when sales order stock exist & delivery is created for intercompany PO with sales order on account assignment to transfer stock from Store to DC, SAP error message is not allowing to post Goods issue.
What settings do we need to maintain for this to happen to withdraw from Sales order stock for consignment article ? Any help or information is highly appreciable.

Diagnosis
During consignment processing in SAP Retail, the system called stock determination in order to decide which stock category should be used to take material 000000001000009740. However, the stock determination routine did not find enough stock in the relevant stock categories (as defined in the strategy). A quantity of 1.000 EA remains open.
Please note that stock determination ignores the Negative Stocks Allowed setting.
Procedure
Check your stocks and settings for stock determination for material 000000001000009740 in plant 3001. Post stock transfers if necessary

Hi,
It seems in delivery in picking tab automatic storage location not determined.
If not determined Please do settings in SPRO>Logistics Execution>Shipping>Determine Picking Location>Assign Picking Locations.
Before doing above step whether the item category is relevant for picking or not ?

My scenario make to order, its start from Sales order -> Planned Order -> Production Order.
After completion of final product, stock coming in to QI from Production with ref. to the Production order.
Here my client requirement is Once approve the QI the stock automatically move to Sales Order Stock.

"sales order stock" transfer between two different sales orders

I have 2 sales orders as follows:
.Sales order # 301324 for Plant 1000
.Sales order # 501324 for Plant 2000
Plant 1000 and Plant 2000 belong to same company code.
Now I wanna to transfer the sales order stock of Sales order # 301324 to Sales order # 501324 directly, is that possible? If it's, how to realize?

u cant transfer directly a sales order from one plant to another plant sales order
1 first step is u have to transfer ur sales order unrestricted stock to plant unrestricted stock 411 E movtype
2. then u have to transfer ur unrestricted stock to plant 1 to plant 2 301movement type
3. and then from there u can transfer ur unrestricted stock to sales order stock 412 E mov type

Stock trsp of normal stock to sales order stock

Dear colleagues,
I have been working with stock transport of sales order stock before and it worked - I have no issues with it. But this time my client needs to transport normal stock in one plant to sales order stock in another plant. FYI, this is a cross-company STO, i.e. item category "standard" in the PO.
I thought it was the requirements class in the "Transfer of requirements" function that controled which stock my STO was going to consume, but I am unsure now. I checked the requirement class that SAP assigned to my STO delivery of sales order stock (the one that works - SO stock to SO stock) and it is 041, i.e. the very standard reqmt class that has nothing to do with sales order stock! So how does SAP determines it is the sales order stock that I want to transport?
The IMG notes for the setting "Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction" imply that there can be special rules implied for special stocks:
Example
There are business transactions, such as consignment stock processing, in which the material with its planning characteristics is not important, rather the transaction itself. An issue from the customer's consignment stock should not trigger an availability check against planning at the plant as layed down by the planning strategy but rather against special stock.
How does it work for special stock then?

Yes, it works with M - SO stock is moved from plant to plant. But we need to move normal stock in the source plant to SO stock in the destination plant. Therefore I wonder what is it that tells SAP to do GI from sales order stock. Is it just that the AA category defines the sp. stock indicator both for the issuing plant and the receiving plant? In such case, we are stuck.
But the comment in the IMG documentation that I cited first implies that there might be other thing that controls the special stock on the delivering plant side.

Sales order stock error in Process order confirmation

In Make To order scnario while I do COR6 order confirmation it gives me Error that Sales order stock does not exist.

Hi,
As per your mail, you can move the stock from normal stock to sales order stock through transaction MB1B with movement type 412 E. This route is generally follow if want to assign stocks manually to sales order stock otherwise if follow the PP route then system generates the stock against the sales order line item at the time of produciton confirmation and requirement type use in this are KSL, KE.

Valuated sales order stock - Batch

Hello,
We have a scenario to move the stock of a valuated sales order from special stock to Unrestricted stock. By doing so, will the valuation of that batch get chnaged ?
We need to have the same valuation of that batch wherever it is moved i.e. whether that batch is moved to unrestricted stock or another sales order stock or any other stock.
Is it possible ?

this is unfortunately not possible, when a batch leaves one valuation segment (EBEW or MBEW) and is moved to anew one (new sales order, new material number, change of special stock type) the price is normally determined new and not preserved
for very limited scenarios something was done in the framework of that scenario:

This batch price remains unchanged even if there is a stock transfer from plant to plant or storage location to storage location. If there is a stock transfer between plants with a stock transport order, the system valuates the material in the receiving plant using the purchase order price.

STO for sales order stock

Hi All
If I am not mistaken, one cannot do a STO for special stock using 2 step transfer, however it is possible in a one step process.
I have made the setting in config to use a one step process, and it have been set up to use movement type 647.
I am trying to move Sales order stock from one plant to another plant, and want to maintain it as special stock.
I can get the process to create the delivery, however, when I try and post goods issue the delivery document, I get the following message.
MSSA-SABWE exceeded by 2 EA: CISCO1402 ZA30 1000 SALEABLE E
Cisco1402 is the material
ZA30 is the plant
1000 is the storage location
Saleable is the split valuation we using
E is the special stock indicator for sales order stock.

We are not using blocked stock at all in any of our processes.
My understanding is that movement type 647 will not look or put stock into blocked stock.
If I look at table MSSA, for that Sales order number and material number, it comes up with one entry. It has a quantity of 2 in unrestricted, Val. GR Blocked Stck is 0.
Should the quantity of 2 be appearing in there?
So the process followed thus far is:
Sales order raised
Preq auto created from SO
Preq converted to PO
GR for PO
STO created to move sales order stock from one plant to another
Delivery created,
cannot post goods issue.

Hello All,
I had a scenario in which, I have created a MTO sales order. I have created a PO from the PR. I did the GR for the PO quantity.
The plant and storage location are warehouse managed.(The storage location is HU managed)
I created an inbound delivery and then TO finally posted the GR for the same quantity as in the sales order and PO. After this I posted the sales order stock into scrapping through t.code VLMOVE.
Now I want the stock back. So I did a 552 with transaction code MB1A to the same plant and storage location against the sales order and the line item. This created an inbound delivery as the storage locaion is HU managed.
I created a TO from inbound delivery. Now the HU and the TO both have the sales order reference and spcial stock type "E".
But when I did PGR(Goods receipt) the system posts the stock in unrestircted use stock in IM side. Now there is a discrepancy in the stock in IM & WM.
In WM side the stock is in sales order stock but in IM side the stock is in unrestricted use.
I am wondering why during goods receipt the system is changing stock category from "E" to unrestricted.
Can any one help?

you should have used movement type 552 E rather then using 552
and even if you have used 552 then you transfer the stock to sales order stock from own stock
follow the steps
1. use tcode MB1B
2. movement type 412 E
