Revel upload

Hello,
I have created a bunch of mobile albums in PSE 12, for upload to my Revel account.  Is there a way to check the progress of the upload?  I am running PSE 12 on a Windows 7 pc.  Also, do the tags I have assigned to photos in PSE carry over to Revel?
thanks,
Melissa

Yes, the tags you've made in PSE 12 will carry over to Revel.
I'm not sure about the progress of the upload.

  • FAQ: How do I edit photos in Revel?

Start by installing Adobe Revel to your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Android device. Tell family and friends who will be
viewing your Adobe Revel photos to install the apps, too.
When you're sharing photos with friends and family, you want them to look their best so that everyone gets to experience and enjoy the moment as much as you did. That’s why we built intuitive and powerful editing tools right into Revel. Make every moment look exactly how you want to remember it with ease.
    Editing Photos in Revel
You can edit a photo on your Mac, iPad, or iPhone using Adobe Revel. Changes are saved to your photo library, so
the photo looks the same on any device.  The Revel cloud keeps a copy of your full res originals. Edits in  revel are non-destructive, so your original is always preserved (unedited). When you export photo (MAC) Save to Camera Roll (iOS), that's when Revel applies your edits. On iOS the preview is used. on MAC the full resolution of the original is used to generate the new edited photo.
    Add adjustments to your photos
Go to the photo you wish to edit.
Click on the +- Edit button on the bottom center of the page on the iPad or the iPhone.
Select a preset adjustment look or adjust red eye, crop, or rotate.
With Revel’s intuitive and powerful editing tools, it’s lots of fun to make your photos look better. Crop and use one-touch filters to get professional results with ease, or use the adjustment sliders when you want to experiment with lighting, color, and sharpness.
Use the crop and red-eye removal tools help you create the perfect memory by eliminating unwanted parts of a photo. And when you have a special memory, use the advanced controls in Revel to give it a look all your own.
Edits you make to a photo appear when you view the photo on any device. Because Adobe Revel saves the edits as separate instructions rather than as changes to the original photo, you can always undo any edits you've made. For example, you can select a black-and-white look, and then if you change your mind, tap or click Undo. If you make a series of edits and then change your mind, tap or click Cancel.
To improve lighting or contrast, tap or click Adjustments. Drag the White Balance, Exposure, and Contrast sliders to achieve the effect you want. Tap or click the two-way  arrows (see image below) for additional sliders that give you finer control
Looks: Turn a photo into an amazing photo with a single tap. With  24 different photo filters it's easy to create a photo that will impress your friends and family.
Adjustments: Use the advanced controls to adjust the  color, lighting, and sharpness of your photos.
White Balance: Adjust the temperature & tint
Exposure: Corrects the exposure, highlight & shadow
Contrast: Adjust the contrast, clarity & vibrance
When clicking on "Compare", you can see the before and after preview of the changes that you made. If you want to reset your changes back to
the original image, just click "Undo"
iPhone Users:  There is  an "undo" button and "compare" button so you can see the before and after result for adding an adjustment to your image.
    Red Eye
Using Revels Red Eye removal is easy. Just click on the "Auto Detect & Correct" or click on the persons eyes in your image  as Revel will automatically correct the red eyes.
    Crop & Rotate
Crop: To remove unwanted areas of the photo, tap or click Crop & Rotate. Drag a corner or side of the frame to resize it. Drag the photo itself to reposition it. Pinch your fingers open to zoom in on the photo within the frame.
Rotate: To rotate the photo, tap or click Crop & Rotate. Then, tap or click the Rotate Left or Rotate Right icon; or tap or click the Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical icon.
    Actions Menu
Add Photo to Album: Add your photo to a new album or existing album in your library
Export Current Version: Exports the current version of the image that you have applied any adjustments to
Export Original: Exports the original image with out any adjustments applied.
Duplicate Photo: Duplicates the photo & stores the image in the same library.
Copy to Clipboard: This will copy the image to your computers clipboard, then you can paste your image into various applications like Elements 11
Iphone Users: You can share your photos via e-mail or upload your images directly to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter & Tumblr.
    Actions Menu
Add Photo to Album: Add your photo to a new album or existing album in your library
Save Current to cameral roll: Exports the current version of the image that you have applied any adjustments to
Save Original to cameral roll: Exports the original image with out any adjustments applied.
Storing your original photos When you import a photo, Adobe Revel uploads a copy of the original to the cloud.
By default, Adobe Revel also stores a copy of the original on your computer in /Pictures/Adobe Revel Library
The files are stored in a "package" titled Adobe Revel Library. Control click on the package and select "Show Package Contents" from the menu. Then you will be able to view the images in the finder window.
    Favorites
When working with a single photo,  click on the "STAR" to mark your photo as a favorite. The image will show with a star under the "Favorites" in your Revel library.
    Add captions to your photos
Create lasting memories by preserving all the info and details related to each of your photos.
    Deleting photos
Be careful! Deleting a photo removes it from Revel on all your devices, not just the one you're working on. Make sure you really don't want the photo anymore before you delete it.
For example: If you delete the image on your phone or iPad, the image will also be deleted from the Adobe Revel Library in the /Pictures/Adobe Revel Library directory on your computer. Its always a good practice to back up your images to a location on your hard drive.

  • PS Elements Version Sets = Duplicate Images in Revel

I am using Elements 12 and Revel. I have a very large library with many version sets containing my master RAW file and an edited JPG copy. Prior to Revel acepting RAW files, I had no problem. Only my JPEGs were uploaded. Now however, I am seeing hundreds of duplicate photo images in my library, ie both the master RAW and my JPEG of the exact same image. While I love the fact that Revel can accept RAW images I am now frustrated over the fact that I have to scroll through so many duplicate images when viewing my photos on my iPad. Is there any way to hide images in Revel? Any suggestions as to how I can fix this (prevent Revel from uploading both the RAW and JPEG images in a version set) or having an option to hide either the RAW or JPEG image after Revel uploads them?
    Mark

PS Elements creates and uploads the JPEG versions for RAW files. As a workaround for this problem, you can create an album under library  in PS Elements and add all the RAW files to this album. This way all the JPEG versions of RAW files would be present in an album and this change would be propagated to iPad as well. So it would help in filtering out duplicate JPEG versions in your library.

  • How do I get a Premiere Elements 11 project to Revel

In Premiere Elements 11, what format do I save a project to so I can get the video into Revel?

    dwlmgold
Premiere Elements 11 does not have an export to Adobe Revel in its Publish+Share section as does Premiere Elements 12.
    http://atr935.blogspot.com/2013/10/pe12-adobe-revel-add-mediapublishshare.html
So for Premiere Elements 11, I would be guided by the April 23, 2014 FAQ in the Adobe Revel Forum.
FAQ: Which file formats does Revel support?
You could try saving the Timeline to file via
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
with one of the .mp4 presets
Then you would upload the file to your account at Adobe Revel.
For further information about export to file your Premiere Elements 11 Timeline, I would need more information on your Premiere Elements 11 project settings and the properties of your source media. Video uploads to Adobe Revel can be problematic, so you might want to post your Adobe Revel uploading type issues in the Adobe Revel Forum. We, here in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum, can help you with your Premiere Elements 11 export to file settings for that project.
    Revel
We look forward to further details to assist you in your project.
    Thanks.

  • Revel in Lightroom 4

    Hi!
Just downloaded Lightroom 4 and signed up for Revel.
But is it possible to view the Revel pictures in Lightroom?
I know you can export to revel but i cant view pictures in Revel uploaded from other devices, is this something Adobe i working on?
    Kaiser

PS looking there, I saw this
"At this time, Revel and Lightroom are intended to help different kinds of users, with Revel focusing on consumers.  Apart from the one-way export from Lightroom to Revel via the new plugin for Lightroom, I'm not sure deeper integration is on our roadmap.  Of course we want ongoing feedback like yours.  I just wanted to make clear who Revel's target audience is."

  • What is the best way to upload Android photos to Elements Organizer 8?

I have a new Android phone but the Droids are not compatible with Adobe Revel. I can easily upload the photos to Revel using the Revel app, but as you know, I cannot edit from Revel and many photos cannot be brought into Elements Organizer and from there to the Editor. How do I do this and how best do I edit?
    Thank you.

You can edit files in Elements and then upload them to Revel from your hard drive. If you are on a PC, you can use adoberevel.com and import there from your hard drive. (If you use Mac, you can import to Revel in the Mac app, but you can also edit from within the Revel app). If the file is only in Revel, you can export it to the PC, edit in Elements, and then import to Revel.
Until we release the Android app, you have the option to use the android uploader to import photos into Revel:
Revel Uploader for Android mobile devices: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.revel.importer
You can also go to a web browser on your Android device and login to adoberevel.com as you do on a PC.
To be notified when Revel is available for Android:
    go to http://www.photoshop.com/products/revel
scroll down and look on the right side where it says "coming soon- Notify me" for android. Click and you can sign up to be notified.
    I hope that helps.

  • Nikon nef format supported in Revel

Why doesn't Revel upload my .nef files?  The general FAQs says that the format is supported.  It doesn't work from my ipad or from Windows 7 with Internet Explorer.  The nef files are from a Nikon D90.

Thank you for your reply, and I'm sorry I took so long to get back to you (I'm on vacation).
In fact, being on vacation was the whole reason for trying to upload my raw files.  I was looking for a way to save my pictures without my laptop.  Your Revel sight was promising but I couldn't make it work.  Your documentation said it should and it did not say that I had to be a paid member to make it work.  From my perspective, there's no difference between buggy software and a feacture that is silently unactivated.  I'd've been happy to pay the membership fee, but too late for that now.

  • Picture order in Private Web Album

How can I get the album in Revel, uploaded as Private Web Album from PSE13, to display pictures in same order as in the album in the organizer?  The pictures are showing in the order they were taken, but that is not the order I want them to be viewed in.

You probably would get a better response over on the iPhoto community.

  • Revel Error Message: "Some files could not be uploaded."

Error Message: "Some files could not be uploaded. 1 file was unable to be uploaded and was skipped." I am a Revel user from its inception. I have never had upload errors before in Adobe Revel. I am trying to upload jpeg files in the same way I have done for months, which is by dragging and dropping files directly into an album I have created. Starting yesterday, only some files upload properly. Others receive the above error message. When I have tried to re-upload the jpegs which have not gone, I receive either the same error message or a slightly different error which indicates the files are not uploading because they are duplicates. They're not duplicates and appear nowhere else in my Revel albums. I have rebooted my Window 7 PC, I have repeatedly logged out and back into Revel. I have tried both Firefox and IE. I have tried creating new albums and uploading the failed files to a new album. I have cleared my Firefox cache. I have tried both the "drag and drop" feature and the "Add Photos or Videos" button in Revel. I have tried using the "Export to Revel" feature in Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I have tried uploading never-before-attempted files, and - on average - only 25% of those brand-new files are uploading. I am a subscriber and pay for the Revel service, so I am not bumping into any upload quotas. I have read through these forums and have found problems similar to mine as far back as May 2013, but none of the problems ever seem to have been resolved other than the users simply giving up. Can you help? I am becoming increasingly confused with respect to which files have succeeded and which files have failed. Thank you. -Dori

    Yvonne-
You can have many libraries with many albums and files within them. Each library is independent, so if you upload a file to two libraries then you two copies. If you put a photo from a library in albums that live within that library, then there is only one copy in the library that each album has access to so it will show up when you view the album. This might help : http://forums.adobe.com/message/5197228#5197228.
I found a few incomplete files in your account also. We will take care of this for you and contact you when it is complete.

  • Why won't menus work or show when web DVD is uploaded to Revel ?

    Thanks for the reply.
If you get a chance, could you post a link to one of those web tutorials relating to webDVD and its applications. Did it actually suggest
that Adobe Revel would support webDVD?
I have had my issues with Adobe Revel even taking webDVD out of the equation.
    http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/10/pe12-adobe-revel-add-mediapublishshare.html
I have not revisited the topic since October 2013 and Premiere Elements 12.
I will keep watch for webDVD and Premiere Elements. Since webDVD is one of the features removed from Premiere Elements 13 and photoshop.com has not been around for a long time for sharing it, I am not sure how that will affect interest in the feature moving forward.

  • Photos not uploaded to Revel from PSE12

So far I had no problems uploading Photos to Revel. I have a free account and the Revel Status says that I can still upload 49 photos.
    My Data:
My PSE12 is on WIN7. I uploaded my complete PSE12 catalogue.
    Problem:
Last week I added 30 photos. They still do not appear in Revel, though they are marked in PSE as Revel. When right clicking on those photos "Remove from Revel" (actually the text was in German and I am translating for thei discussion) is greyed out.
Over the last weeks I found duplicate photos in my catalog and currently I am deleting these duplicates from the catalog. My mobile device shows the according decrease in the number of photos in my Revel library.
The Revel-Agent status still shows about 88 to 107 pending updates to the Revel library. The number is higher when I am actively deleting photos, but it never (over the last week) goes below about 90 pending updates, though I restarted the computer daily.
Is there a lock in the library? How can I get around this problem?

    Viashali,
thanks for looking into this. I was already at PSE 12.1.

  • Need help with uploading photos from PSE 12 to Revel

When I first logged into Revel from my new Photoshop 12 I selected the option to have me select which photos would be uploaded to Revel.  That turned out to be a huge mistake.  All I want to do is upload my current catelogue with the albums intact to Revel for Cloud protection.  I have been working for two days to work around this and have had numerous problems.  I can't get my albums to get uploaded without creating a new album in revel and then downloading from there.  However, it appears that some albums have been authotmatically uploaded and I have thousands of pictures scattered, since most of them were scanned at different times and then organized into albums over the course of the past year.  Can anyone help me with this.  I was told that buying Adobe Photoshop 12 should make it very easy to put my photos in a cloud with the albums intact.  PLEASE help.
