Reversal of Overhead

Hi
I want to reverse (KGI2) overheads posted in April for a particular Prod order, but not able to do it so, if i try in Test run in April after opening in transaction in  OKp1 i am getting value
Is this std behavior where i cannot reverse the April posting in June. In this case how to reverse the OH posted?
There are few threads relating to this, but no clear solutions.

Hi Waman
Apart from the the note you mentioned, dont you think this issue has larger implications
if settlements for Apr / May have happened, its not correct to reverse the Overhead calculation.... You need to reverse the settlement for May, then Apr for this prod order.... After that you reverse overhead calculation for Apr > Do it again for Apr > Calculate Var/WIP/Settlement for Apr
Then repeat the same for May...
You need to open FI posting periods for the same

  • T-code to reverse the overhead

    Can someone please let me know, how to reverse the overhead on process orders, and is it always mandatory that we have to reverse the overheads when we reverse the process order confirmation?

    In the same Tcode select "Overhead Claculation->reverse" from top menu bar or presee "F7".
    Reward points if helpful.

  • Reversal of Overhead postings

    Hi
    We add a percentage to the production costs via an 'Overhead Group' from the material master. Unfortunately by mistake a 'Overhead Group' used in one company is used on a material master in a plant assigned to another company.
    Therefore I have incorrect values on the CO account (cost element category -> Overhead Rates) between 2 company codes. Can anyone tell me how to correct this?
    I have tried to reverse the overhead calculation, remove the 'Overhead Group' on the order and settle the order once again, but without any success.

  • Clustered Index Vs Reverse Index

    I am searching against a column of table (4 mil rows) which has a datatype varchar(19), what index is recommended clustered or reverse index
    any thoughts on this would help
    Thanks

    Reverse indexes are used for write performance.
    If you insert a lot of rows quickly and you use an incrementing value as the index key, typically a sequence, then your insert performance will benefit.
    An index is simply ordered data, so if you need to insert into the index
    9567843
    9567844
    9567845
    9567846
    9567847
    9567848
    They will all write to the same block.
    Whereas with
    3487659
    4487659
    5487659
    6487659
    7487659
    8487659
    they will not as there are big gaps in the index values.
    If anything flipping the value back may have some overhead, so read performance could be very slightly degraded, but I must emphasize that this is untested speculation.

  • Reversing the CO Document.

    Hello,
    Overhead is calculated for 4.2% wherein the costing sheet it's maintained as 2.1%.. Requirement we need to reverse the original document which was posted calcuating 4.2% and post an other document
    Document is a controlling doucment- Secondary posting, No FI posting is done.
    Where can we reverse this document.
    Regards,

    Hello Subodh,
    Thank you.. but the transaction code which you suggested is not suitable for current scenario.
    Basically, we have posted Actual overhead periodic.. transaction wherein the wrong overhead rate is taken, we need to reverse this document.
    There is no FI document created, only secondary document is created.

  • Internal Order Settled to AUC reverse process

    Dear Gurus,
    I had a hard time to think how to do the processes over and over again.
    The current process is:
    Every month the internal order (investment and real order)  will collect the expense on AUC and settle to the AUC.
    At the end of year, the AUC will be settled to Fix Asset by internal order settlement rules.
    Now what if the settled expense was not correct. For example, in 2009, I created the IO and settled the IO to AUC in several months. But in 2010, I found the expense in IO shall not be settled to AUC, the expense was only the overheads. ( The AUC was not settled to Fix Assets). Just like I wanna reverse the settlement in 2009.
    So it would be like this in a flow chart.
    IO-> AUC->FX
    Now I need to do this:
    AUC->IO->GL
    For IO->GL, I have figured out that I can change the settlement rule profile and make the GL account allowed.
    But for AUC->IO , I have no idea and almost burn my brain on it.
    Could you please help to throw light ?
    Emma

    Hi,
    I tried 2 write offs, please help to see whether I am doing right. Thank you!
    I tried to reverse the document but it was not allowed.
    I am thinking to post a document like the following:
    1. Doc in 2009
    50 8910000000 settlement AUC             2,964,800.00-        Order:C1BIC83002
    70 3270600041 000327000032 0000    2,964,800.00
    2. What I want to post:
    40 8910000000 settlement AUC         2,964,800.00      C1BIC83002
    75 3270600041 000327000032 0000    2,964,800.00-
    But it gave me an error when I enter the asset number.
    Asset is investment measure, transaction type not allowed
    Message no. AK005
    Diagnosis
    Asset   that is to be posted is an investment measure. You are not allowed to post transactions that affect acquisition value using the current transaction.
    Procedure
    Check the asset and transaction type 160.
    I am not sure which transaction type is correct.

  • Selling & Distribution  Overheads  Allocation on basis of Qty sold

    Dear Experts,
    Client wants to allocate selling and distribution overheads based on the quantity of the goods sold.
    Which is best way to absorb these costs
    Eg - Company Code A -
    Cost Center MktA incurred $1000, this cost center deals in FG Product A Sales
    Cost Center MktB incurred $1200, this cost center deals in FG Product B Sales
    Cost Center Mktc  incurred $1500, this cost center deals in FG Product C &D ales
    Product A sold 1000 kgs, Product B sold 1200 kgs, Product C sold 500 kgs, Product D sold 1000 kgs
    For arriving Cost of Sales - we need to allocate Marketing and sales ovehreads on the basis of volume of goods sold.
    Regards,
    Sanjai

    Hi Sanjay
    As Ajay said maybe KEU5 could be enough to distribute the expense from cost center to the products.
    But usually you distribute the expenses for product+customer key. In this case KE28 could help.
    In KE28 you distribute the values from Actual Data, in your case the Record Type will be = D (Overhead costs, assessment).
    The reference data would be F (Billing doc) , the reference base will the key factor you want to distribute.
    Then you go to Processing Instruction and set Customer+Product in DLvL column.
    In Selection Criteria you fill company code, plants and any other fields to restrict the processing data.
    In Value Fields you flag the value fields that will receive the distribution.
    Well I hope I have helped. I had some problems to run KE28 but now is fine.
    You can reverse in KE29N.
    Regards.

  • Why is there increased overhead(performance) in NAV than DISPLAY attribute?

    Hi,
    I understand that navigational attibutes lead to increased overhead because of the additional joins: The join between Fact table and dimension table ( I guess on DIM ID) and then the additional join between the Dimension and the Master Data tables (I guess on the SID).
    1.
    What happens in the case where the attribute is NOT a Nav but DISPLAY? Can you modify the above paragraph for me if it were a DISPLAY attribute? Isn't the display attribute also in the Master Data table and won't there also be an additional join?
    2.
    So when a query runs, which of the joins takes place first? I am trying to get the order whether it is from inside to the outside or outside to the inside? When you execute a query does the join between the master table and dimension table take place first then the join between the dimension and fact table next? Or the reverse?
    Explanation with examples will be very help.
    Thanks

    In both the cases the joins formed will be as per the above statement, however in case of navigational attribute the query fetching the data stores the data independent of master data such that you are able to do navigation/drill down independently on the values.
    2.
    So when a query runs, which of the joins takes place first? I am trying to get the order whether it is from inside to the outside or outside to the inside? the schema structure is fact table at center then the dimension tables and then the SID tables. when query is executed it first fetches data from Fact table then retrieves entries corresponding to those in DIM tables and after that SID tables.

  • Reverse process order

    How do i reverse a process order and process order confirmation.
    Can someone please let em know the t-code.

    Reverse Process Order Confirmation: CORS
    Recalculate Actual Costs: COFC
    Reverse Overheads Costs: KGI2 (Overheads --> Reverse)
    You can reverse the "Status" of a Process Order by calling the order in the Change mode, Control Data tab, and reverse the Confirmed status.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers.

  • Reversal of WIP

    Hi,
    I confiremed the Production order partially and calculated WIP and settleed the partial order and accounting entry was generated.
    After i done the TECO for order and i ran the settlement for the remaining quanities.
    My doubt here is i done the TECO also for the order, so initial WIP entry must be reversed.
    When it will be reversed and how to arrive the situation.
    Sateesh

    Hi Satees,
    The funda of WIP works as follows...
    1. The system will look for the cost loaded onto the Production Order (Material Cost, Activities' Cost, Overheads if any).
    2. If the status of the Order is either DLV or TECO, WIP will not calculated.
    3. Because, in your case, you have just confirmed the activities and executed WIP, (in KKAX Transaction code), then the system will "only Calculate and Display the value of WIP but  will not post to Financial Acccounting".
    4. When you Settle the Order, then only WIP is posted to FI.
    5. In the next period, if you do GR and TECO and then Settle the Production Order at that Period-End, then the system will reverse the previous WIP entry.
    If you manually delete the WIP values, you can use KKA7 transaction code.
    Hope you got it, pls revert back if further explanation required...

  • How do I use Sun Web Server 7.0u1 reverse proxy to change public URLs?

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)
    for hosting some of the public resource and reverse-proxying other parts
    of the URI namespace from other backend servers (content, application
    and other types of servers).
    So far every type of backend server served a unique part of the namespace
    and there was no collision of names, and the backend resources were
    published in a one-to-one manner. That is, a backend resource like, say,
    http://appserver:8080/content/page.html would be published in the internet
    as http://www.publicsite.com/content/page.html
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.
    Another quest, possibly related in solution, was to make a tidy url for the
    first page the user opens of the site. That is, in the current solution when
    a visitor types the url "www.publicsite.com" in his or her browser, our web
    server returns an HTTP-302 redirect to the actual first page URL, so the
    browser sends a second request (and changes the URL in its location bar).
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change
    right upon first rendering the page. They want the root page to be rendered
    instantly i the first HTTP request.
    So far I found that I can't solve these problems. I believe these problems
    share a solution because it relies on ability to control the actual URI strings
    requested by Sun Web Server from backend servers.
    Some details follow, now:
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if
    I "restart" a request. Turning the error log up to "finest" I see that even
    when making the "service-passthrough" operation, the Sun Web Server
    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.
    [04/Mar/2009:21:45:34] finest (25095) www.publicsite.com: for host xx.xx.xx.83
    trying to GET /content/MainPage.html while trying to GET /test, func_exec reports:
    fn="service-passthrough" rewrite-host="true" rewrite-location="true"
    servers="http://10.16.2.127:8080" Directive="Service" DaemonPool="2b1348"
    returned 0 (REQ_PROCEED)My obj.conf file currently has simple clauses like this:
    # this causes /content/* to be taken from another (backend) server
    NameTrans fn="assign-name" from="/content" name="content-test" nostat="/content"
    # this causes requests to site root to be HTTP-redirected to a certain page URI
    <If $uri =~ '^/$'>
        NameTrans fn="redirect"
            url="http://www.publicsite.com/content/MainPage.html"
    </If>
    <Object name="content-test">
    ### This maps http://public/content/* to http://10.16.2.127:8080/content/*
    ### Somehow the desired solution should instead map http://public/data/* to http://10.16.2.127:8080/content/*
        Service fn="service-passthrough" rewrite-host="true" rewrite-location="true" servers="http://10.16.2.127:8080"
        Service fn="set-variable" set-srvhdrs="host=www.publicsite.com:80"
    </Object>
    I have also tried "restart"ing the request like this:
        NameTrans fn="restart" uri="/data"or desperately trying to set the new request uri like this:
        Service fn="set-variable"  uri="/magnoliaPublic/Main.html"Thanks for any ideas (including a statement whether this can be done at all
    in some version of Sun Web Server 7.0 or its opensourced siblings) ;)
    //Jim

    Some of our installations use the Sun Web Server 7.0 (update 1, usually)please plan on installing the latest service pack - 7.0 Update 4. these updates addresses potentially critical bug fixes.
    I was recently asked to research whether we can rename some parts of
    the public URI namespace, to publish some or all resources as, say,
    http://www.publicsite.com/data/page.html while using the same backend
    resources.> now, if all the resources are under say /data, then how will you know which pages need to be sent to which back end resources. i guess, you probably meant to check for /data/page.html should go to <back-end>/content/page.html
    yes, you could do something like
    - edit your corresponding obj.conf (<hostname>-obj.conf or obj.conf depending on your configuration)
    <Object name=¨default¨>
    <If $uri = ¨/page/¨>
    #move this nametrans SAF (for map directive - which is for reverse proxy within <if> clause)
    NameTrans.. fn=map
    </If
    </Object>
    and you could do https-<hostname>/bin/reconfig (dynamic reconfiguration) to check out if this is what you wanted. also, you might want to move config/server.xml <log-level> to finest and do your configuration . this way, you would get enough information on what is going on within your server logs.
    finally,when you are satisfied, you might have to run the following command to make your manual change into admin config repository.
    <install-root>/bin/wadm pull-config user=admin config=<hostname> <hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    you might want to check out this for more info on how you could use <if> else condition to handle your requirement.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdaer?a=view
    finally, you might want to refer to this doc - which explains on ws7 request processing overview. this should provide you with some pointers as to what these different directives mean
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gbysz?a=view
    >
    One customer said that it is not "tidy". They don't want the URL to change
    right upon first rendering the page. They want the root page to be rendered
    instantly i the first HTTP request.
    please check out the rewrite / restart SAF. this should help you.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6599/gdada?a=view
    pl. understand that - like with more web servers - ordering of directives is very important within obj.conf. so, you might want to make sure that you verify the obj.conf directive ordering is what you want it to do..
    It seems that the reverse proxy (Service fn="service-passthrough") takes
    only the $uri value which was originally requested by the browser. I didn't
    yet manage to override this value while processing a request, not even if

    still remembers that the request was for "/test" (in my test case below);
    it does indeed ask the backend server for an URI "/test" and that fails.
    now, you are in the totally wrong direction. web server 7 includes a highly integrated reverse proxy solution compared to 6.1. unlike 6.1, you don´t have to download a separate plugin . however, you will need to manually migrate your 6.1 based reverse proxy settings into 7.0. please check out this blog link on how to set up a reverse proxy
    http://blogs.sun.com/amit/entry/setting_up_a_reverse_proxy
    feel free to post to us if you need any futher help
    you are probably better off - starting fresh
    - install ws7u4
    - use gui or CLI to create a reverse proxy and map one on one - say content
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6601/create-reverse-proxy-1?a=view
    if you don´t plan on using ws7 integrated web container (ability to process jsp/servlet), then you could disable java support as well. this should reduce your server memory footprint
    <install-root>/bin/wadm disable-java user=admin config=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm create-reverse-proxy user=admin uri-prefix=/content server=<http://your back end server/ config=<hostname> --vs=<hostname>
    <install-root>/bin/wadm deploy-config --user=admin <hostname>
    now, you can check out the regular express processing and <if> syntax from our docs and try it out within <https-<hostname>/config/<hostname>-obj.conf> file and restart the server. pl. note that once you disable java, ws7 admin server creates <vs>-obj.conf and you need to edit this file and not default obj.conf for your changes to be read by server.
    >
    I have also tried "restart"ing the request like this:
    NameTrans fn="restart" uri="/data"
    ordering is very important here... you need to do this some thing like
    <Object name=default>
    <If not $restarted>
    NameTrans fn=restart uri from=/¨ uri=/foo.
    </If>

  • How to ensure that an accrual (FBS1) that was cleared and reversed/reset (FBRA) does not affect the books while being in open items (FAGLB03)?

    At first the user created an accrual using FBS1 for reversal on 5/1/2015.
    This created a clearing document.
    Then it was mistakenly reversed by the user for 5/1/2015 by using F.81
    This also created a clearing document.
    Based on advice in the following thread: Delete reverse accrual/defferal documents | SCN ,
    the user used FBRA to reset and reverse the document. We are unsure if the reset and reverse command was used or just the reset choice.
    Now the accrual value is in the respective accounts with an open status (i.e. red button). Does this mean that the entry has already been discarded and it won't affect the accounts? Or does one then use FB50 to reverse the effects of the accrual in the current and next month?

    Hi
    I guess that the user has not reverse the transaction as its still shows as open item in 30 /4 .. so I belive that you need to use fb50 or simply use FBR2 and enter the original entry no and the choose (generate reversal posting option )..

  • Miro Reversal and GR IR Clearing

    Dear Friends,
    Once Migo and Miro is done and subsequently the miro is reversed while doing auto clearing of GR IR Account, the system is knocking off the original migo and the original miro and leaving the reversed miro as open item instead of clearing the original miro against the reversal miro.
    Is this a standard functionality due to cenvat issues or is there some other problem.
    Please advice how to take care of the same.

    This is standard only.
    When cenvat is there it should be very carefull at the time of MIRO and reversal of same in the same month.

  • DNS: reverse zone comes back after remove and some follow up issues

    hello community,
    after installation of OSL i had setup dns with a primary zone.
    the automatically created reverse zone for my internal network is fine.
    whenever i enter a new system the default for the ip address is 10.0.0.1 and the reverse zone is automatically setup for this ip address.
    whenever i remove this reverse zone it come back automatically after saving the dns configuration.
    with this come some follow up error.
    server admin claim that there is no name server configured for this reverse zone.
    when i configure it the configured name server entry vanished after clicking the save button.
    when i try to configure settings i can not. i get the error message that the configuration can not be saved cause of the missing name server for the reverse zone i am not using ....
    in the log file i can see that the file for reverse zone can not be found.
    when i check the dns configuration in the shell i can see that the reverse zone file is not there.
    someone has an idea
    - whats the best way to fix this?
    - why is the gui still showing the reverse zone i am not using?
    - is the dns configuration also in the ldap db with wrong entries?
    regards
    christian

    Clean out your zone definitions, and start over. Server Admin is unfortunately seemingly fussy around the authoritative server stuff and the order stuff gets entered, and it seems you can get into a sequence where it doesn't have what it needs. I had encountered couple of cases when I was in a similar state as you're in now, and I ended up clearing and deleting the primary zone and re-adding the zone and the hosts, being careful to add the authoritative server as the first step of adding a zone.

  • View iCal's day and week view in reverse chronological order

    Greetings iCalers,
    When I think about day/week calendars, with the Y-axis being times of the day as in iCal's day/week views (e.g. "3:00 AM", and "5:00 PM" are in the leftmost column), I think about times building up to midnight from the bottom—i.e. the day starts at 12:00 AM on the bottom, with 1:00 AM above that, and the day ends with 11:59 PM on the top. I've learned that this intuition is atypical, and all calendaring systems I've come across work in the reverse direction, in line with the majority of people's intuitions.
    I'm wondering if there's a way to get iCal to display in the reverse-chronological order. I suspect there isn't, and I've never seen a terminal command or apple script for it, but I'm hoping there is. If anyone know and could post it here, that would be great!
    Thanks!

    It's cool, I figured out a solution: get over it and stop worrying about trivial issues to the point of excessive fussiness.
