Reverse a payment document (J/E) without voiding a check

Hi
With T-Code FCH5, the client created a manual check and was attached to the incorrect J/E (document created with T-Code FB01).  Now, the client needs to unattached the J/E and attaches to correct Journal.
The question is: Can we reverse the payment document (J/E) without voiding the check? Any experiences? Ideas? Workarounds?
Thanks,

Hi KP,
have you checked tc FCHT? This transaction allows you to turn around two chequenumbers without any posting
Best regards

  • Creation of batch input session for mass reversal of payment documents

    Hello FI experts,
There is a business requirement in which the users want to reverse the payments en-masse. This can be achieved by creating a batch input session via a custom program to upload the documents from excel . Then calling FBRA and FB08 to do the resetting and reversal.
My issue is how to create the batch input session ? Please help.
    Regards,
    Van

    Hi,
I have got developed such program earlierr.
You can define your custom program specification as below:-
    (A) Based on the selection screen, the program will read all the records (field document number VBLNR, company code ZBUKR and year from field ZALDT) from table REGUH. (Proposal Run Indicator XVORL should be blank.)
    (B) If Paying company code (REGUH-ZBUKR) is equal to Sending company code (REGUH-ABSBU):-
Step 1:- For each record of (Payment Document Number (REGUH-VBLNR), Company code (REGUH-ZBUKR), and Fiscal Year (REGUH-ZALDT)) it will call transaction FBRA and will reset the clearing of the document.
Step 2:- Then call transaction FB08 and pass the data as below:-
Document Number     =     Payment Document Number (REGUH-VBLNR)
Company Code     =     Company code (REGUH-ZBUKR)
Fiscal Year               =     Fiscal Year (REGUH-ZALDT)
Reversal Reason, Posting Date and Posting period will be defaulted from the selection screen of out program.
    (C) If Paying company code (REGUH-ZBUKR) is not equal to Sending company code (REGUH-ABSBU):-
Step 1:- For each record of (Payment Document Number (REGUH-VBLNR), Company code (REGUH-ZBUKR), and Fiscal Year (REGUH-ZALDT)) it will call transaction FBRA and will reset the clearing of the document.
Step 2:- for each record of (Payment Document Number (REGUH-VBLNR), Company code (REGUH-ZBUKR), and Fiscal Year (REGUH-ZALDT)) get the cross company code document number (BKPF-BVORG) and
(ii) Then find out the Document number (BKPF-BELNR) from BKPF matching BUKRS = Sending company code (REGUH-ABSBU) and GJAHR = Fiscal Year (REGUH-ZALDT) and BVORG = cross company code document number (BKPF-BVORG) as obtained above in
(iii) Then call transaction FBRA and will reset the clearing of the document passing BKPF-BELNR, BKPF-BUKRS and BKPF-GKAHR as obtained in (ii) above.
Step 3:- Then call transaction FBU8 and pass the data as below:-
                  Cross CC Doc. Number=     Blank
Document Number     =     Payment Document Number (REGUH-VBLNR)
Company Code     =     Company code (REGUH-ZBUKR)
Fiscal Year               =     Fiscal Year (REGUH-ZALDT)
Reversal Reason, Posting Date and Posting period will be defaulted from the selection screen of out program.

  • ISU- Reversal of Payment document

I have scenario where I was not able to reverse a particular payment document.
We posted a payment document(say 1001) through FP05 has hit an invoice and it was cleared. Both have got clearing doc as same payment doc number.
We did reset clearing using FP07 with option Create a new item. This resulted in creating 2 line items(Reset cleared items and Other Receivables/Credit Memo).
It also created a clearing document against the payment doc which was given for reset. Now it is not allowing us to reverse the payment doc showing an error message" it contains clearing doc". We tried reset and reverse all, but we could not reverse any of the documents i.e. Payment doc number as well as Reset cleared items & other receivables/Credit memo docs.
Can anyone help us to get this solved.
    Thanks,
    B.Kartthik.

    Hi,
SAP does not allow to reverse transfer posting clearing and reset clearing items using FP08 and FP08M.
The only way is to update table DFKKKO manually and update Document Source as '13' (Manual Posting), then you can reverse it.
I know this not the direct way but this is only way possible
    Thanks,
    Durgesh.

  • Option to edit PDF document on UCM without checkout or check-in new rev

We have a request to allow user to edit the PDF document on the UCM site itself to save steps like check-out or download native file and upload it after modification.
We want to integrate Oracle R12 invoicing module with UCM. Presently Oracle generates Client invoice and emails it to finance team. The Finance team makes modification to few invoices (PDF document) and email it to different team for approval. The problem is finance team don't have to explicitly download the PDF because it is already in the mail box and explicitly not required to upload it. If we provide the option to edit the PDF on the UCM itself then the steps like check-out and check-in can be avoided.
    Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend you to go with AutoVue, or other context annotation techniques (OnTrack, now Oracle Social Network supports this feature as well).
Like this, PDF is not modified, but rather context annotations are created. This is also a better design - in a document is being approved, you know what is the original, and what is a comment (annotation).

  • How to assign a voided issued check to another payment document

    Hi All,
My client issued a check to a vendor from wrong check lot. Now my client wants to reverse the payment document as well as the invoice. They want to use the same check information for another payment document for the same vendor.
We tried voiding the check and resetting the voiding data and then tried to assign it to a different payment document in fch5 but system throws the following error "Next free number in check lot 001 is 500030".
How can I rectify this error?
    Regards,
    Khudavand

    Hi,
Think in the practical scenario once.
Once you have given a cheque to someone and understand thats the wrong name, you void the cheque.
Its cancelled. You can do whatever before giving it to him. Once given, you need to void and thats it.
The same will happen in SAP too.
Cheque once voided, its voided thats it.
There is no scope of adding this to another vendor/another payment document for the same vendor.

  • Payment document reversal issue

    Hi All,
While posting a document I wrongly selected the vendor account.  PO itself the vendor account wrongly entered. And one more thing is the payment is completed.
As per SAP members suggestion I have planned to reverse the payment document. Reverse the cheque document by FCH8.Reverse and reset the payment document by Tcode FBRA. Then reverse the invoice booked also.
But while reverse a payment document by FB08 I got a error message "_Not possible to reverse the document in Financial accounting_". Can anyone advice me to comeover from the problem.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
Try reversing the entry using FCH8. Normally, we need to first void the check and then reverse the accounting document. FCH8 allows you to reverse the check and the FI document at one shot. If you want to do it separately, you can use FCH9 (to void the check), then reset and clear using FBRA.
    Please revert for any clarification.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How to assign voided cheque to the new payment document no.

    Hi Experts,
A cheque no 11111 was manually assigned to a payment document no. created for a vendor X but physically another cheque no. 22222 was issued to vendor X by  mistake. Later on the user issued the cheque no. 11111 phisycally lying with him to vendor Y but did not assigned this cheque to vendor Y's as this was previously assigned to vendor X. When the user came to know this, he reversed the payment document no. by voiding the cheque no. 11111 with void reason ''Inserting wrong cheque lot'' and created another payment document no for vendor X with cheque no. 22222. This way he corrected the vendor X payment document with cheque no. 22222. Now he wants to assign the cheque no. 11111 which is voided to vendor Y's payment document. Further he has issued many cheques from the cheque lot which contain the cheque no. 11111 and 22222.
Is there any way to assign the voided cheque to the new payment document no as the user wants it very desparately.
    Hoping for solution.
    Rgds,
    BABA

    Hi Shailesh,
Use FCH5 to create check information. Enter thr payment document , Company Code, Fiscal year and the house bank information to assign the check. IF the check lot having the check number has further checks assigned from it, this check lot has to be made non-sequential so that we could manually assign the check number.

  • Printing check for partial processing of payment run without voiding

    Hi,
Our payment run (Done via F110) has created only some checks for some payment documents, as the check lot got exhausted.
How to print the check now for the remaining payment documents without voiding the earlier one? (As we have issued those checks to vendors.)
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar

    Hi,
    Please do below:-
    1. Create the new Check Lot in FCHI transaction as the next lot for the expired check lot
    2. Go to SE38/ SA38 and give your check printing program (Like program RFFOUS_C). Execute.
    3. Give the Payment Run date and identification in this program selection screen
    4. GIve the New Check Lot number here from which you need to print.
    5. Give the Payment Document number range for which the check needed to be printed
Then system will generated the checks for the remaining payment documents.

  • Payment Document reversed in wrong period

    Dear All,
I need your help. I have reversed one Payment document in wrong period. Now Payment document is in period 09 while reversal document is in period 10.
Is there any way to undo this reversal or else change the period in the reversed document?
Here I need one suggestion as well. What will be the implication of this in period end closing activity? The payment document is closed and refering to reverse document as well.
What I know is for period closing system checks for only open items.
    Please suggest on this.
    Regards
    Suchitra

    Hi Satya
Yes You can do post with reference in F-02 and reverse the document.
But when you initially reverse the payment document the document will close now either you reverse reversed document or closed payment document. The new document will have status as open.
This open document will definetly effect month end closing.
I think solution suggested by Santosh is better one.

  • Reversing a BOE payment document

    Hi,
I have a question on reversing a BOE payment made through F110. I have used FBRA and reset and reverse the payment document which has brought the vendor invoice back to open status and also cleared the BOE postiing,
But i found the below process suggested by SAP to reverse BOE payment.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/01/a9cc81455711d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
Can anybody let me know if there is any problem using FBRA to reverse the BOE payment?
    Thanks,
    Mano.

    Hi,
FBRA posting is also ok in case it is putting back the amount as normal balance (and not in special GL balance) in the vendor account.

  • Reallocation of void check. to another payment document

    Hi Friends,
    I have an isse.
Our customer has allocated the check to wrong payment document and she wants to reverse the document and allocate the same check number to another payment document number.
when i reverse the payment document sysytm is telling to cancel the check and when i cancel the check at FCH8 and when i
tried to allocate this check number to anotherpayment document number, system is giving the message that the next number is avalilble which means this is not availble for allocation.
    can any one help.
    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Hi,
Did you post the payment document using automatic payment run? In case of automatic payment run, check number is determined by the system from the next available number in check lot and it is linked to payment document.
I don't think it is possible to delink the check number and payment document number. The solution should to reverse the payment document and cancel the check. Subsequently a new payment document should be created.
    Thanks
    Murali.
