I'm working on a project with some green screened footage and some of it was shot hand held but i want it to be still. I was wondering if it's possible to do a sort of reverse motion track, where i can analyze the motion and the make it stationary.
Does anyone know if this is possible in Motion 4?
Much thanks. That's just stabilization. It's in the manual look for STABILIZE WORKFLOW.
Keying stabilized footage can get weird because of the sometimes quite dramatic changes in position and rotation that take place during the output/rendering of the stabilized clip.

"Reverse" Text Tracking?
Hi All,
I have text sliding in from the left side of the screen to the right. Once it gets to the right-ish side of the screen I have the tracking animated so that the letters "squish up" on top of eachother to the right and then bounce back to their original proper tracking distance to the left.
I'd like to do this in reverse, but can't figure out how to achieve the effect. Slide in from the right to left, stop @ the left-ish side, pile up/squish on top of eachother and then bounce back out to the right.
Let me be clear, I don't want to use scaling to get the effect, I have the letters sliding into/nehind eachother and then going back to their original tracking distance. I've tried moving the pivot of the text but that does nothing. Any help is appreciated!
SI'm not exactly how you're doing your original animation but I expect that you're using text animators for position and tracking. Put tracking in Animator 1 but don't animate the range selectors, animate the tracking value. Don't use a text animator for position, just animate the text layer's position property. Make sure that the text is left justified.
That should do it. -
We are developing ETL Programs to load data from Staging tables in oracle to Target tables. We are just developing PL/SQL program but wont to use warehouse builder for this and even wont to trace rows and columns in target schema as from which source table and columns it have arrived, Basically wont to keep track of target data as from which table and column it have arrived from source as there could be multiple source for a target but business rule define the priority to insert the appropriate data in target, and latter point of time wont to know as from which source table and column have this arrived.
Any one can suggest me if OWB can help me in this case and if yes how, which document and from where should I read about it.
Thanks in advance and I can be reached in Delhi at 0091- 9818405549.
Cheers
Devpal SinghOWB has a feature named lineage analysis that can help you trace the data lineage. It also has a data flow debugger that can help you debug data flow problems by showing you step-by-step how data flows and is trasformed within a mapping (ETL procedure).
For details, you should take a look the OWB user's guide (http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/html/B10996_01/toc.htm), in particular http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/html/B10996_01/17metabr.htm#1098816 for the lineage and impact analysis and http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/html/B10996_01/07debug.htm#1004903 for the debugger.

Is there a tool or mechanism by which links to a given object can be tracked down? If the object is renamed, moved, deleted, etc, we want to make it easy to fix any incoming links before such edits are propagated to the production portal.
It seems to me that any web-composition tool such as the Oracle App Server should have a built-in means by which linkers can be found. But I haven't found anything that would enable me to do this in OApp 10g.
Anyone have any ideas?
Is there a reasonable way to develop an application to scan the infrastructure database to find linkers to a given object?
I would appreciate any help on this as one of the objectives of the website I'm putting together for our group is to make it easy to manage by anyone in the group. If someone has to manually scan every single page on the website whenever they delete or move an object, that would be ridiculous.
Thanks for any assistance...I'm not exactly how you're doing your original animation but I expect that you're using text animators for position and tracking. Unable to join tracks using itunes 11.1.5.5
Used to be able to select cd tracks and join them using the "option" drop-down. Now that drop-down only shows "get track names" & "submit CD track names". Any solutions known? Started about a week ago.

Huh? Are you sure?
You cannot highlight a column - if you click on a column, it sorts by that column. Also, the column to the left of the name is a tick-box column, which cannot be sorted or highlighted.
However, the column to the left of that, the one with the numbers in it, as shown in my screenshots, is the track number. If you have clicked on it, you will have reversed the track order and Join CD Tracks will not be available. Look:
But if the number column is clicked again, putting the songs into the correct order, then the Join CD Tracks is there - as explained in my previous post:
Note the direction of the arrow in the number column in each shot. -
need to reverse the tracker ball direction, seems to have reversed after upgrade..
Same with my trackpad here, I went to
System preferences
Trackpad
there is an option to change the direction of scrolling in the "scolling and zooming" section.
I bet it is similar to the mouse prefs.
Best regards

When importing CD's of spoken word/performances the cd is broken into tracks as if they were songs on an album. To correct that I used select "join tracks" and I was then able to import the cd as a single track. All of a sudden that option is gone!!!!! I am using iTunes 11. Anybody know what happened? How to get it back? Is Apple continuing its march off the same cliff Microsoft went over in its own pursuit of stock price and market share; customers be damned?

When I import a CD to my iTunes Library, it appears in reverse (last track first)! This also happens when I autofill to my iPod. The only way I can get around it, is to create a Playlist and the drag & drop tracks from my library into the correct order. I am sure there is a better way to ensure that when I import a CD it appears in my library in the correct order. Please Help!
Try this, I found that it works for me. Right click at the top of any column in your iTunes library and choose **Track Number** from the list. Click at the top of this new column to sort it and after that click on the Album column. If you like you can then click on Artist, it will continue to hold the track order as well. Afterwards anything you import should follow this arrangement Artist>Album>Track Number within Album (you can hide the track number column when you've done if you don't want it cluttering up the view)

RVS4000 V1 tracks some VLAN to VLAN connections backwards
Firmware V1.3.3.5
Operation Mode: Gateway
VLANs: 4, one per LAN subnet
Inter-VLAN Routing: Enabled
I've got all of the management interfaces of the infrastructure devices
(switches, UPS,WAPs) on the default VLAN 1 that is configured on as untagged on
all relevant ports. I've noticed that the router will track most of the routed
connections from the non-default VLANs to devices on the devices on the default
VLAN backwards, where the destination is listed as the source and vice versa,
often with the SYN_SENT state instead of ESTABLISHED as reported by the source
host.
I get this information from the IP Conntrack view launched from the
Status/Gateway screen. This is how a telnet connection from a computer on the
guest VLAN 3, subnet 10.0.89.0/24 to the default mgmt VLAN 1, subnet
192.168.75.0 looks in IP Conntrack
Basic Information Original Direction Reply Direction
Protocol Life Time State Source IP Source Port Destination IP Destination Port Source IP Source Port Destination IP Destination Port
TCP 44 SYN_SENT 192.168.75.98 23 10.0.89.2 50196 10.0.89.2 50196 192.168.75.98 23
Also, there are corresponding entries in the router's access log.
Jan 29 22:26:00 - [Access Log]I TCP Packet - 192.168.75.98:23 --> 10.0.89.2:50196
Notice that it is incoming as expected as opposed to outgoing (to the WAN port).
I know that these are routed connections, for when I turn off Inter-VLAN
Routing, I cannot make any connections from on VLAN subnet to another.
This reversed connection tracking anomaly is causing the firewall ACLs that I have
implemented to block traffic from the guest VLAN (3) to the default
(infrastructure) VLAN to not work, since ACLs are defined based on source IP
and destination IP. Connections to other VLANs other than the default appear as expected
in the access log and the IP Conntrack view.
Is this a known bug with the RVS4000 V1?Thanks for answer.
I investigated thread you sent and found there the solution, which can be shorten to one line:
Setup -> Advanced Routing -> Inter-VLAN Routing -> Disable
Once more, Many THX
It works and is solved. -
Hello!
I would like to reverse a whole logic arrangement, which consists of Audio Instruments.
I know about the transform window, but it doesn´t work for me properly, becauce it only affects events in regions, not the postion of the regions in the arrangement.
Does anyone has an idea on that?
Or is there a possibility to reverse the playback?
Thank you!
Gernotif bouncing and reversing the file is too destructive you could merge all the regions into 1 long region for each track and reverse those.
Automation would have to be packed into regions(hyperdraw) aswell and reversed. (options/track automation/move current...) -
How do I go back to OSX6.8? without losing data
I just upgraded to Mountain Lion. I'm not happy. None of my ancient (power PC) applications work anymore and I've got to spend a fortune on new versions of Photoshop, Microsoft Office etc.
Mountain Lion has annoying features, like the trackpad works like a iPad, the scroll functions are less god than before, and I feel that my macbook has become sluggish.
If I back up my data on Time Machine, and then wipe and re-install from my original disks, will e.g. my e-mails re-appear on mail, internet settings remain, or will they stop working, and I have to set up lots of stuff again?
What is the best way to go back to 10.6.8, where I was perfectly happy?
Please don't tell me that I should move with the times, or not be so stingy, or so. I simply don't have the cash to spend on new applications.Hard times!
AxelSome things that you don't like about ML can be fixed (others, we have had to live with since Lion ).
You can reverse the track pad behaviour to normal in Trackpad prefs, you can turn scrollbars to always on, (System Prefes > General) and, if you need those PowerPC apps, you can always re-install Snow Leopard from your DVD on a separate partition or external disk and use it just for those.
If ML is slow, that's undoubtedly a function of conflicting software (Assuming you've got decent enough ram and hard disk space). Remove everything from your login items and restart the computer. Update all your third party apps and junk any old kexts. If you need help with this, just post back and let us know. -
Simulating tape loop effects in Garage Band
I have two related questions...
Is there any way to alter the speed of an individual track within a project? (with out changing the speed of the other tracks)
Is it possible to reverse a track within a project, so that it plays backwards while the other tracks are playing forward?
(going for a 60's psychedelic thing)
Are either of these possible, or am I gonna have to dig out the old reel to reel tape recorder?
MacMini (intel) Mac OS X (10.4.8)I don't give any warranty on this trick, but I used it several times and it worked:
Do your stuff in GB. If you want to manipulate a certain audio region, go to the project folder, look for the recording file, open it in an editor and do your thing even while GB is open. Save it in the audio editor - and voila, GB plays the altered version without a problem. No import/export necessary on the way.
(Caveat: If you change the length of the recording file, GB will almost certainly protest in some way.)
With valuable recordings, you should do a backup before you try this kind of "open surgery" ... -
How do you reverse the polarity of a track in GB?
I use GarageBand to mix multi-channel audio (while listening to a stereo mix) then export it to A.Pack or SurCode for the final 5.1 mix to disc. I have a less than one year old Pioneer 7.1 receiver and 5 polk audio speakers from my attempted home theater that i now occasionally use to watch DVDs on my mac (using the optical audio). I was wondering if i would be able to set the tracks to certain balances (i.e. FL -127 C+0 FR+127) to output a form of Dolby pro logic to my reciver to simulate a final mix, but to get a rear channel in the mix, i would need to make one of my rear tracks' polarity reversed. Is there a plug-in to do this, or any other suggestions?
A quick trawl in Google didn't throw up any Audio Units which would reverse the phase, but possibly if you did a more exhaustive search you might find one. This would be the easier answer.
Otherwise you could do it by getting 'Amadeus II' from
http://www.hairersoft.com
This costs $30.
To do this: choose the tracks you want to be on the rear channel. Centre them with the pan control and mute all the others. Export to iTunes. drag the resultant file to the dekstop and open it in Amadeus. Select one channel only.
From the 'Effects' menu choose 'Stereo Utilities' then 'Invert Phase'. Save, and then drag the file back into GarageBand. You can now mute or delete the tracks which made up this rear channel.
Strictly, to be a proper Dolby ProLogic track the rear channel should be Dolby B encoded: it might be worth turning up the top a bit to allow for this.
Remember that in playback on a ProLogic decoder the rear channel is filtered below 100Hz and above 7kHz (it is only intended as an effects channel). -
Why in the world would Apple make the track pad LESS useful in OS Lion? I hate that I can't g back to the top of a web page with a singe swipe. And of course all the other gestures are totally reversed. IMHO, this was not an improvement.
No one here works for Apple.
Go to System Preferences > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom, and uncheck Scroll direction: Natural.
