Reverse asset retirement from last year

Hi,
One asset was retired in Dec 2009.
Now we want to take the asset back in our books and then sell it to another customer.
Problem is: i am not able to reverse the retirement from 2009.
Also tried using post capitalization ABNAN, but system gives error message "Fiscal year 2010 is incorrect for post capitalization of asset"
Asset Acquisition date is in 2008.
Fiscal year 2009 is closed and can not open
Can anyone help me out with this problem?
How do i reverse the retirement in 2010??

While doing ABNAN, use original asset value date (Date in closed FY).

Yes, I did that. They have uppgrades for the dongles, but just untill Mac Os 10.7. Their solution is to buy a new modem from them or getting one for free if I sign a contract for 24 months! So, i think from that side not very helpful.
It is just that I do not want to buy a new modem, when it works in quite recent computers and after having spent money in the new Mac.

Try using another computer. I had the same problem, repeated the given solution many times and each time it failed. Then I connected ipad to another computer and it worked immediately. Then I used the first computer to restore a backup.

Old threads from last years appear in the iPad forum

When viewing the iPad forum on the iPad old threads from last year populate the threads listings. I used different browsers on the iPad besides Safari (both logged in and out) and it still happens. CS6 AE crashing on opening files from last year (2012)

My comps from last year will not open now, and crashes AE when I go to open them. Plugins and AE seem all up to date. Would anyone know what might be causing this??

Currently using the latest CS6 AE v11.0.2.12 on a Win7 Professional service pk.1 64 bit. My system has 2 processors: intel xeon cpu E5-2609 0 @2.4GHz with 64 GB RAM 500GB SSD as local disk and 2TB hard drive.
The footage in the comps I am trying to open are .r3d files that have RedGiant effects applied (primatte key used mostly).. the error I am seeing in AE when it crashes on opening the comp is error:error4 in Edge Blur(25::241)
These comps opened fine when I was working on them last year, but now when I open a fresh AE and load any one of my saved files AE crashes and will not display the footage. I can open AE and start a new comp, but it is only when I open one of my saved files where it crashes.

No, once removed, backups cannot be recovered. Also, Apple will remove backups after 180 days of inactivity, which sounds like what happened here.

Reverse asset retirement......

Hi Experts,
One asset with acquisition date in 2008, was retired in Dec 2009.
Now user wants to reverse the retirement in 2010.
SAP is not allowing and giving error message "reversal not possible (asset value date in different fiscal year from posting date)"
Can anyone help me for reversing this document?

Hi Chin,
The correct behaviour of the system is to NOT ALLOW such a posting.
A reversal in different fiscal years would cause a strong inconsistency
in asset accounts.
As per note 703503 says, when the system allows such a posting is
considered an error and in this note you can find a report to reverse
"wrong reversal" documents.

Mavericks install failed on my late 2008 MBP. Says I should contact the software provider. Want to do a system restore, using Time Machine, but latest date to use is from last year - even tho did a backup before the download?

I downloaded the free Mavericks upgrade to my late 2008 MBP on Friday. I made sure to plug in my external hard drive so that Time Machine could back up beforehand. (I should say I'm not clear about the different kinds of backups that Time Machine does - I just plug it in and let it go.).
So have tried several times over the weekend to install, it takes 46 minutes each time - only to tell me it can't do it. There was an error message of needing to contact the software provider (or something similar). After searching the internet (on my husband's computer - since my MBP is rendered useless right now) I decided maybe I should wait on Mavericks and just do a system restore. However, when I plugged in the Hard Drive and proceed to System Restore, the latest date available is one from September of 2012 (14 months ago)... I've wondered if the date might be wrong? But I'm afraid to choose it because I'm not sure what I would lose. It might take me back to Snow Leopard rather than Lion... (however, the version on Restore was 10.8.1 which is Mtn Lion, right? Even tho it was last year...)
Some sources online say that I should go into applications and delete the install -- but I can't get to anything on my computer.
I tried to do a reboot in safe mode - but not sure if it worked...
I did look on the installer log error and the latest error is:
Local Host Report crash [378]
Can anyone help me? (Using simpleton, non-techie language?

I Need to read an important email that was sent to me last year. But after a couple months the read emails disappear from my inbox. Is there still a way to read it again. The email provider I use is @icloud.com

You can use the AGO function to calculate the previous year figure.
This topic explains how to achieve it. the most important think here is that you must have a proper time dimension with a propoer chronological key.

You have not provided the exact error message (including any numeric codes). From the looks of it this sounds like the licensing system simply failed and indeed a reinstall is the only proper way to fix it. run the cleaner tool and reinstall.

Asset retired/deactivated in current year pending adjustment from last year

Hi Guru's,
My user have one adjustments to do from previous fiscal year.
As we have some invoices in which we can do direct payment in Non-sap and for information purpose we enter the transaction in SAP. My user did a goods receipt in MIGO but have not created any invoice for the Vendor and done the payment. Now when I run MIRO with material document and PO, it is giving me message " You cannot post to this asset (Asset XXXXXXXXXXX deactivated)".
Note: Now the above asset X was retired current year and balance was carried forward to another Asset Y .
Option1. I tried activating asset in AS02 but it is in display mode. From where I can make it optional mode, plz give me the t.code.
Option2. While posting in MIRO, is it possible to change the Asset X to new Asset Y.
or if you have any other option please let me know.
Your help will be highly appreciated

Viswa - In 2. Posting Information - FG 12 Deactivation is already flagged as Optional, MnNo. is ticked, Sbno. is ticked.
FG 13 Planned deactivation is flagged as Optional, MnNo. is ticked, Sbno. is unticked.
So this is not helping me out, am I missing something?
Siva - I tried again in MIRO, I am not able to change asset number. It is greyed out.
Please let me know what should i do?
