Reverse effect possible in FCE2?

This may be a dumb question, but i haven't figured out if I can do a reverse effect with my videos in FCE2. This is where the video looks like it's backing up, or rewinding, and usually in faster motion.
Can anyone tell me if this can be done and if so, how?

A reverse posting clears all line items that are managed as open items. This is not possible if one of the items in question has already been cleared by another method.

Procedure
If you really want to reverse the document with the number you specified, display the cleared items and reset all those items for which you can find clearing document numbers. Then repeat the reverse transaction.

Step 02- Posted Customer downpayment on 01-Jan-2011 with DZ doc with Rs-1200: Doc No 2222222
Step 03- Clear Customer line items on 10-Jan-2011 with AB doc with Doc no- 3333333
Trying to reverse Cleared Item (i.e. Doc No 3333333) with T-Code FBRA. While doing Reset and reversal we are getting the above problem.

At the time of MIRO reversal we are getting error massage Document is already contains cleared items-reversal not possible
actually one MIRO document using TDS line item and we make a payment for that TDS line item after that we try to reserve MIRO document that time we are getting error massage.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

MR8M-Document already contains cleared items - reversal not possible

Hi Gurus,
I am getting error message Document XXXXX 1000 2014 already contains cleared items - reversal not possible while cancelling IR via Tcode MR8M.
Invoice was already paid twice by mistake hence we are trying to cancel via MR8M.
I know we can do via FBRA by resetting the cleared item but is there any other options or workaround?

One assets was capitalized by wrong settlement from AUC to final assets in last year. But I try to reverse the WBS through cj88 i am receiving the error message like: Reversal not possible; last settlement was in period 008 2008 Message no. KD547 . The wbs status is Dead.
could you please guid me how to rever the wbs incurrent period after re opining the wbs.

Audio Problems with Fast/Slow/Reverse Effect in iMovie HD

I have been having problems with the Fast/Slow/Reverse effect in iMovie HD with my movie clips. Whenever I apply the effect (reversing at the same playback speed, not sped up or slowed down), when it is finished rendering the audio is choppy, yet on time (but still backwards, as wanted). Before applying the effect, the preview of it works flawlessly, it is only when it is applied that the audio gets choppy. Extracting the audio will not help either because the video will still be playing backwards while the audio will be playing normally (since it can't be reversed on its own). I have tried other effects on the same clips that don't effect the audio and they work perfectly. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks.

Have you got an isolated hard drive with ALL of the required applications and other resources together with the operating system ? Using an external HD to SAVE a running iMovie project is asking for problems. Back up the Project on another HD sure, but don't use System on one HD, running files on another.

Unable to apply reverse effect

For some reason, I am unable to apply the reverse effect to a clip. It will preview, but the apply button will not engage. Any advice?

That question is far too broad. It's like asking 'How big is big?' It depends on what you're talking about. Or in this case, what you consider a 'nice effect'.
Surf the internet. Find some photos that have a look you like -- something similar to what you would want to do with your photos. Then you can at post one or two of those samples here and give us some idea of what you want to do.

Simple effect available in fce2?

we've all seen the effect a million times...
your watching a movie and then it pauses for a subtitle/text or a voice over narration then the movie resumes
you all know what im talking about right?
how can i do this in fce2 if possible?

1) Put your clip in the timeline.
2) Place the playhead at the position you wish to pause/freeze
3) Select Modify>Make Freeze frame. This will open into the Viewer
4) Drag from the viewer to the Canvas and drop on insert
This will give you a clip that will play along, 'pause' on a frame for a few secs and then continue playing.
You can adjust the length of the pause to suit in the timeline

Its only 2mb video. Basically what happens is this: When you
move the cursor around the page, the "shine" inside the logo
changes. So think of it this way, there's an image file (a shiny
texture) that follows wherever the cursor is, and the image is
masked inside of the logo, so that when you move the cursor around
you see the texture inside the logo moving with you. Anyone know if
this is possible? Or anyone have ideas on how I can achieve a
similar effect?

sure you could do something like that with moving an item in
the x,y directions related to mouse movement. the demo is related
to calculating the angle of the mouse and rotation. you can do
something similar with a percentage based on the mouse position and
scroll an image under a mask accordingly.
and now that you say that - i totally see what was happening
in the vid ;)

Asset down payment reverse not possible in AA

Hi all of you,
I have one issue of AA down payment made last year and the payment was made through AAP(Automatic payment methodT-F110) and the period is closed now.
Know the check payment is to reverse but SAP would not make the reversing entre through FCH8 it give error of different financial year posting not allowed, I have tried it through FBRA and FB08 and also asset transaction reversing by T- AB08 also, but it give same error.
Kindly suggest any solution through which I can post reversal enty in current period, with out effecting the previous year.

AVCHD Reversal Effect Problem

I have a Sony HDR-SR8E camera that produces AVCHD 1080i anamorphic 1440x1080 files. I recorded a scene over 2 hours and uploaded to the PC and imported to Premiere Pro. The camera supports maximum file size of 2Gb while Vista 64-bit can handle much larger than that, as a result I brought it in as several clips each close to 2Gb, I put them on the project timeline in reverse order, then for each clip I right-clicked and selected effect speed/duration and clicked reverse. I then ran a pre-render visualisation that took most of a day, I then rendered via Media Encoder export, this took 24 hours. Media Encoder said this was successful but it was not. The mp4 file was size zero bytes and there were two files with numeric names one of which was an AACS file and the other of which was a m4v file not able to be played. So I get the idea Premiere Pro can not reverse that amount of AVCHD in 1 pass.
I solved this by using 1 project per clip and effectively rendering each reversal seperately, then I pulled the reversals back into a project put them all on the timeline in reverse order and rendered the whole lot out to give 1 file of almost 15Gb. This file wouldnot run in Apple Quicktime which I take it is due to size of the file but when pulled into Premier Pro as a clip in a project it does play, so this whole process worked.
I say this for anyone else contemplating reversing AVCHD video in Premiere Pro. Why it should take so long beats the hell outta me.

50i is a stupid nomenclature. It means your video is 50 fields, 25 frames per second. FCP rightly uses the nomenclature 25i or 25p to indicate media that's 25fps either interlaced or progressive. Your media is 25i.

If your just after a reasonable vector facsimile of the look, try converting a gradient to a mesh using the "object>expand", ungroup and delete the mask, then use the Warp Tool to create the drip effect.

Use Videos Created in Photoshop within After Effects - Possible?

Hello, newbie here. Can i use create video files in Photoshop CC and then import them in After Effects CC as video files?
I create video files in Photoshop CC using Photoshop CC's timeline* and save the video project in Photoshop as TIFF or PSD.
When i import these TIFFs oder PSDs to After Effects, they will only appear as still images, whatever settings i use on import (footage vs. layers). I don't see how to have the TIFFs or PSDs playing in After Effects as a video.
Is it even possible to bring a video project from Photoshop to AE as video and not as a still image?
I understand that the alternative would be to render the Photoshop video as MP4 and bring that MP4 into After Effects. I would prefer to avoid the MP4 route though.

Dave, thanks - i import now the PSD file as "Sequence" and as "Composition - Retain Layer Size" and then i click "Create new Composition from Selection".
Then i get a timeline which shows the correct running time of the video created in Photoshop. All the layers and tracks are there. I also see either an image from the video or a black screen.
But i cannot play it. I can't see different frames of the video - neither by dragging the timeline marker nor by clicking "Play/Pause".
That's certainly an awkward newbie problem - seeing your video, but not able to even play it. But i even watched through the full length of three extremely detailed Adobe/Lynda video tutorials (on the official Adobe site) and didn't get closer to an answer why the video doesn't play in AE.
I have to admit that on importing i get a Quicktime error message. I also studied the official Adobe page regarding that error message and didn't understand it. But i know that when i 'had* Quicktime installed previously, it ruined my system and my mood.
So if you have any quick hint, that would be great. Thanks!
