Reverse page order

FlashPaper creates PDF files with the pages in reverse order.
For example, a three-page document came out p.3, p.2 and finally
p.1.
How do I get FlashPaper to leave the pages in the correct
order?

  • Reverse page order in pdf?

Is there a easy / cheap tool or method to reverse the page order for a multi-page .pdf document?
I think something like Adobe Writer might do it, but I don't need to do this very often, and was hoping to find a cheaper way, or shareware product...
I can manually rearrange the pages in something like PDFLab, but this can be time-consuming for larger documents...
My printer lets me print in reverse page order, but I can't seem to make it print to .pdf in reverse order?
    Any ideas!?
    Thanks!
    Mark

You can use this Action to reverse it back:

  • Reverse page order of PDF

    Hi,
I need to reverse page order of a PDF file. I tried Preview and Automator but couldn't find right option.
Printer driver has a reverse order option but when I did Save As PDF, it doesn't seem to work.
I tried a utility called Moonwalk but it does not run on my system with no reason.
Any solution? I prefer Automator action but any idea will be welcome.
What I'm doing is scanning documents. My scanner has ADF but does not duplex scanning. Thankfully, Automator make it possible to combine odd and even pages but the even pages should be reversed before scanning. If there is an Automator action for it, it will be great.

I agree the tone was too sarcastic and perhaps below the belt - so my apologies.
It is so very frustrating to have to wade through pages of superfluous, and in many cases inane, chatter that getting to the heart of the matter is impossible.
As a case in point, we can't even PM each other which is why I have to add this post to a public thread - making the problem worse.
And really, the problem isn't people here, or even in OS X. The problem is Apple.
Apple have for some time become so cavalier and imperious to a such a degree that it grates when we are left to fend for ourselves in this manner. Of course they have always had a touch of the blue-stocking but it beggars belief that they are set to go the way of IBM, Microsoft and Nokia - these org's that have forgotten to treat the hand that feeds it with the respect it deserves. It may be that nobody is sticking up for Apple but adding red-herrings here is only making matters harder.
Let's face it, it's just so self-defeating that anything supposedly this good, ought take this level of involvement, just to do the blindly obvious. You'd expect this from things like Linux, Openoffice etc. where the effort relies mainly on volunteers (in their spare time to a large degree). But with the amount of dosh Apple sit on - and continue to take - it seems only too clear where this is going to end and no amount of the 'cool factor' is going to change that.
Something's gotta give - wish this stuff would work - just so fed up! :-(
P.S. Hate to say this but I fixed this problem for myself using Win Vista & pdfforge (see http://www.pdfforge.org/)

  • How to Reverse Page Order in Acrobat Pro 9

    Hello Community,
I thought this would be an easy thing to do in Acrobat but so far I am finding it is not.
I am creating a PDF from multiple files, they are jpegs, and I am dragging and dropping them into the "combine files" window in the order I want them to be displayed. However Acrobat reverses this order as you put them in and then gives you no chance to switch the order. It gives you the option to move the order one by one (which is nearly impossible when the jpeg titles are img1824, img1623, etc.) so they other option is to add the files I want backwards, which my brain can not do, I like to work forwards, not backwards nor should I have to.
So once I create this backwards PDF, isn't there a way to just reverse the order of the pages? any help is appreciated.
    e~

    Wow GQDiaz,
What a wonderful gift you have given us! You have saved me hours of shuffling pages one by one between large cumbersome document scans.
Your script works like a dream. Thank you for this gift.
    With kind regards,

  • Reverses page order from Word to PDF

When I create a PDF from an existing Word document it scans the pages in reverse order so that i see the second page first.  How do i fix this?  I have Acrobate 9 Standard and Word 2000.  Any help will be much appreciated.

In Word under Tools > Options > Print tab, make sure that "Reverse Print Order" is not checked.

  • How do I reverse page order in Preview?

Is there a way to reverse the page order when viewing a pdf in Preview. It opens with the last page first, I assume to accommodate printing. But it's a hassle when it comes to viewing onscreen. Preferences doesn't seem to offer the option to reverse this. What am I missing?
    I'm using Yosemite 10.10.1
    Thanks,
    Jim

Reader is uncapable of creating new PDF files, nor edit existing ones in this way, so the problem is definitely not with it. Probably with the way Word creates the PDF file.

  • Reversing page order displayed

Is there a way to reverse the page order of a document without using the thumbnails to drag and position one at a time or having to rescan the documents? For example, I have a 200 page scanned image document. Its a correspondence file with the most recent letters on top. I want to display the oldest letters on top with the most recent at the bottom. I'm using acrobat 5.05 full version. Thanks much

Ok, that wroked great. But one question, when I saved it using a different file name, the new file size was smaller. 171 kb before the page order change, 140 after the change. How come? Will the resolution be lower when it prints after the page order change?
Also, I was able to reverse the page order using "print to distiller", but the file size went form 171kb to 58kb. How come?
    thanks much

  • Reversing Page Order?

    Hi Everyone,
I am using InDesugn CS6 and have a 20 page facing page publication. My client wants me to add another 10 pages but in reverse order and upside down. The idea being that the end user would turn the booklet round so that the front cover page starts as the back page and runns towards page 10. Is there anyway I can do this in InDesign? How that makes sense?
    Thanks
    Neil45156

I've made these by hand. It's not hard to make a 20-page booklet, leave the last 10 pages blank, then make a separate 10-pager in a separate InDesign file, and place that into the empty pages by hand. However, I was running that project pretty much single-handedly and doing the printing in-house. If there will be printer guys involved in your publication as per winterm's post, you should ask them what they want. If they intend to handle the imposition (as they ought) then any DIY efforts will just make their work harder, and therefore ruinously expensive.

  • Universal printing PCL5 & HP Laserjet 700 Color - wrong page order

    Hi,
I recently installed an HP Laserjet Color 700 MFP in our network (around 20 PC workstations running Windows 7 professional & HP UPD PCL5)
From one of the stations, each print job sent has a reversed page order - only setting the printer properties to "reverse" results in the correct page order.
    Ist this some known problem?
    thanks
    Thomas

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/
    I hope this helps.

  • Print page order

All of a sudden, whenever I print a job, the document prints in reverse order—last pages first. Sometimes, the first page doesn't print. This is across an Airport Extreme-based home network. Are there any settings to correct this?

    Hi Dan
In the Print dialogue, *Paper Handling* section, see that Reverse page order is not selected.

  • Using Acrobat 9.5.5, I scanned a catalog in several segments, to merge later. How do I reverse the order of pages of the back side (odd) pages, and can I renumber each set as even numbers only and odd numbers only?

I scanned a catalog for my archive - double sided pages of course.
It was easy enough to scan the front pages first (odd numbers, 1-3-5) , in several sets of 30 pages, therefore several separate pdfs.
Then I scanned the back side (even numbers 2-4-6) pages but in their natural reverse order, rather than manually reordering all 300 pages.
Now I need to reorder the even pages which are naturally in reverse page number order (300-298-296...)
and I need to renumber all of the pages as only odd or even numbers - set 1: pages 1-3-5-7... Set 2: 2-4-6-8...
Then I can merge everything into one pdf.
How can I reverse the page order?
How can I renumber pages as only even or only odd numbers?
Anyone have these solutions?  I don't use much of acrobats features, but it seems to be a pretty basic demand to be included. I can't find any clue in the software menus or online help.

You can do such ordering with JavaScript. There is a recent post with a JavaScript for dealing with another aspect of page order that might provide what you want. You will have to search the forum for the post that was about 2 or 3 weeks ago as I recall.

  • Solution for MP CM1312nfi Manual Duplex page ordering issue

One of the things that bothered me when I got my CM1312nfi was the fact that Manual Duplex and Booklet printing were printing the back sides of the pages in the wrong order, resulting in weird page combinations (e.g. 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5). If I reversed the order of the sheets before reinserting them into the printer and then reversed the sheet order again after the job was finished, the results were as expected, but it was a pain in the rear end doing so.
After fruitlessly trying to get HP tech support to help, I took matters into my own hands. I started digging around in the PPD file for the printer and trying different combinations of parameters. I finally stumbled upon a combination that worked, so I thought I'd share it here. If you'd like to download a ready-to-install PPD file, you can get it here:
    http://homepage.mac.com/catservant/HP%20Color%20LaserJet%20CM1312%20MFP%20Series .gz
If you have your browser set to automatically decompress archive files (the "Open safe files after downloading" option in Safari will do that), control-click on the link and download the file that way. The file needs to stay compressed.
Copy this file into your "/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources" folder, saving the original file in that folder somewhere in case you need to go back to it. Then, go into the Print & Fax preference pane and delete and re-add the printer.
If you'd rather do the modification yourself, here's the procedure:
    1. Copy the "HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series.gz" file from the "/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources" folder to the desktop. Make a duplicate copy so you can restore the original if you make a mistake.
    2. Double-click on the "HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series.gz" file now on the desktop. The file will decompress and create a "HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series" file (without the .gz extension).
    3. Open the "HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series" file (the one without the .gz extension) in TextEdit.
    4. Edit the following two lines:
    <pre> *DefaultHPFaceOrientation: FaceUp</pre>
    <pre> *HPManDupTumbleFirstSides: False</pre>
Change "FaceUp" to "FaceDown" in the first line. Change "False" to "True" in the second line.
This will allow you to put the pages back into the printer as they come off the printer, i.e. without having to rotate them or flip them over.
    5. Save the file.
    6. Open the Terminal application and type the following two commands followed by the return key:
    <pre> cd Desktop</pre>
<pre> gzip -c "HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series" > "HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series.gz"</pre>
This will replace the "HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series.gz" file on the desktop, so you can see the importance of the duplicate copy in step 1.

  • HP 8620 printer two sided printing reverses pages

Is there a way to change the order that this printer prints double sided prints? It prints last page first, so if it is 3 pages pages 2 & 3 are one page and page 1 is just one-sided.  Need this to be reversed.  Can you do this in the Mac driver?
    Lisa

    Hello @thekoaman,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're experiencing issues when duplex printing from your Mac OS X 10.10 Computer to your HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer. I want to thank you for including all of the detail regarding the troubleshooting steps you have already completed in your posts. At this time I do believe that there is either a driver corruption on your computer with the HP Officejet, or an issue with the file that you're attempting to duplex. If multiple documents  are experiencing the duplexing page order issue than that will rule out a corrupted document. Can I please have you follow the steps below.
Step 1: Reset the Print System:
To start, I am going to have you Reset the Print System on your Mac as it is important that we have a nice clean slate to work with for troubleshooting. Please click here for instructions on how to perform the Reset. When the website opens follow the steps under'Resetting the printing system in OS X Lion' as the steps are the same for your Mac OS X 10.10 Operating System. This Reset will remove every printer from your Mac. However, it does not uninstall the printers. Therefore, should you use other printers on this Mac, once the Reset is complete simply ensure that the printers are connected via a USB Cable or Network connected and (+) Add them back in. Do not add your HP Officejet back in at this time.
Once the reset is complete, please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Uninstall Drivers and Software:
Next, please click here for steps on how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens select the dropdown for 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8, and OS X v10.9'  as they are the same for Mac OS X 10.10 and follow the steps to complete the uninstall process.
Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.
Step 3: Verify and Repair your Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    Go to the Utilities Folder
    Open the Disk Utility
Select the Hard Drive volume you are using (usually on the left)
    Select Verify Disk Permissions
Once that process is done, select Repair Disk Permissions
Step 4: Check for Apple Updates:
    Go to Apple
    Select System Preferences
    Select Software Update
    Click Update Now
    Install your available updates
    Restart your computer
    Step 5: Add the Printer:
    1. Please click here to download the correct drivers for your printer.
    2. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left
    3. Once the download is complete, please follow the onscreen instructions to install your printer
    4. Once the installation is complete, I would like you to check your driver to ensure that the HP Officejet driver is being used and not the AirPrint driver.
    5. Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
    6. Click Print & Scan, and then check if the name of your printer displays in the Printers list.
    7. If your printer is already listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm communication with the Mac. Click the name of your printer, click the minus sign (), and then delete the printer
    8. Click the plus sign (), click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer
    9. Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu. Ensure that you have the HP Officejet driver selected and not the AirPrint.
    10. Click Add to add the printer to the list.
    - Source
Now that the driver is added back in successfully, please try duplex printing again.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Adobe Acrobat XI for mac, how to reverse pages in a pdf file and how to collate two pdf files into one

I scanned some large documents, which were two sided. Because they were printed on glossy paper, I could not scan the pages double sided. So I made two files, one file containing all the even pages and one file containing all the odd pages. Now I have two problems: 1. the pages in the even pages file are in the reversed order, so I need to reverse the order of all the pages in this file. Then I need to combine these two files (collate) so that all the odd and even pages are combined into one single file and all the pages are in the correct order.
In older acrobat pro programs (windows) I found a javascript file that could fix all this. However now I have Acrobat XI and I have a macbook pro, so now I'm completely lost. Can anyone help me with this problem?

If you have a script that does it then you should use it... Open the console and run this command:
    app.getPath("app", "javascript");
It will print out the location you need to use for the .js file you have. Then restart Acrobat and you should be good to go.

  • How to maintain page order in load pdf/save pdf

    (Photoshop CS6)
I want to apply one and the same action to all pages of a pdf-file. The pages have a systematic error, too dark.
    So:
    1. load pdf-file
    2. select all pages
    3. apply action, in my case change level, to all pages
    4. save all pages as pdf-file, in the original page order.

You could use this script to save the pdf, as it will reverse the order of the documents....
