Reverse Publishing?

Had to erase drive. Kept old web site folder, but new iLife08 won't read the folder. The old site is still on the mac server, but I can't do anything with it. I don't want to start all over. Is there a way to download the site from the mac server to my new iWeb 08????
Please help

Hi,
I'm so sorry but there isn't any other way than the ones on this page
http://retrieve.iwebfaq.org
So you will have to rebuild it...
Send feedback to Apple

and ask them to implement way to import websites from folder to iWeb

  • TMG2010 - Front-End (DMZ) / Back-End (Internal) - Reverse Publishing. Exchange 2010

    Hey Guys,
I need some help conceptually understanding how TMG2010 is used in a front-end back end scenario. For Example:
    1) The client would have TMG2010 in the DMZ
    2) The client would have TMG2010 in the Internal Network.
    3) The client would have multiple Network Cards (2-Leg's) on each of the TMG boxes
My question is definitely design related so my apologies if its a little confusing. Would the correct way of setting up TMG securely be the way i have described? If so how would you set the Auth type? Do you know of any design documents that cover my scenario?
What i am really confused about is the Authentication Type for each of the TMG servers (Front-End, Back-End) and if those servers would both be joined to the domain or not.
    Thanks,
    Robert
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
Various way to do it however below are one method of Doing it.
    Internal TMG
Internal TMG can be joined to Domain
    Two LEG TMG
Once NIC connected to Internal network Switch
Other NIC Connected to DMZ Switch ( Which Routes Traffic to External TMG internal Interface )
    External
    Workgroup
One NIC connecting to internet Router
Other NIC connecting to DMZ switch
Network relationship can be NAT between TMG, You can use the Internal TMG as Proxy / Web Publishing / Server Publishing etc. Use the External TMG as plain firewall and to NAT Internet Inbound Request to back end Firewall External Interface IP address. Malware
/ NIS can be enabled as per your requirement on any one of the TMG.
    Additional to It
You can Configure one More LEG a third Interface on Both TMG
Configure External DMZ on the Third Interface on External TMG. External DMZ will be only Internet Facing
Configure Internal DMZ on the Third Interface of Internal TMG. You can Use it as Inside DMZ.
    Hope this helps
Thanks for the response. But what about the Authentication? How would that be setup? I am still unclear on that part of it. For Example:
In my lab i have the following:
    1) Single Armed TMG server
    2) Auth set to NTLM/Integrated on both TMG and Exchange (OWA). Other Auth settings for other exchange services
    3) Single Listener, SSO Across AD Sites
    4) TMG is only providing Reverse Publishing, no other network security services.
If I added another TMG server as a front end how would i configure the Authentication for the above scenario?
    Thanks,
    Robert

  • Can I reverse-publish in Muse? In other words, can I download to my desktop my most recent live version of my website?

my laptop with my most recent work has crashed. I've downloaded Muse to another desktop but don't have a current version of my website in a file I can access (yes, it's on my laptop-ugh!). So I'm trying to see if I can "reverse-publish" my site from my live version back to my desktop.

    HI
If in case you have lost the Muse file or the computer is crashed due to which you do not have the access to file,I am afraid, at this stage its not possible to import the site that you have published back in Adobe Muse
Also, to be on safer side, you may keep your file save with creative cloud storage you get when you purchase your subscription so that, even if you don"t have access to you computer, you may have the updated file downloaded to another and do not loose the work.
Let me know if you have any further query.

  • Published file converted to .cptx?

We have a 4-year old .exe file that was created in Captivate.  Is there any way to "reverse-publish" this file into a native Captivate file so that it can be edited?  We cannot locate the source file.

    Hello and welcome,
No, I'm afraid that is not possible,

  • TMG2010 - Exhcange 2010 - Restrict User Groups

    Hey Guys,
We have TMG2010 currently reverse publishing OWA however no Pre-Auth is being used, the Exchange 2010 Auth Form is being used.
The TMG box is not Domain Joined, however if we joined it to the domain would we be able to use AD Security Groups to restrict access to certain services such as OWA?  Without enabling the "Pre-Auth" Functions of TMG?
    Thanks,
    Robert
    Robert

    Hi,
yes it is possible to restrict access to specific services like OWA/EAS/OA on the TMG Server for specific user/groups if the TMG Server is a member of the domain. You can also use pre-auth if the TMG Server is a member of a workgroup if you use LDAP

  • With TMG EOL what can I replace with?

My TMG 2010 is used mainly for reverse proxy for internal .NET applications, OWA, etc.  What MS products or third party products are available to replace this functionalility?

    Hi,
Web Application Proxy in Windows Server 2012 R2 has some capabilities like TMG for basic reverse publishing, you can also use IIS AAR.
For more functionality you must use third party products like Blucoat, Checkpoint, Sophos UTM

  • Retrieving iweb site content from server?

    Hi y'all.
I was working on my iweb site and everything was going dandy. Then my comp crashed and the only way to get it too work was to re-install the entire system. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to backing up my iweb stuff but I did publish it before the crash so its on the server. Is there anyway possible to get the content back from the server to my comp? kind of like reverse-publishing (if that makes any sense) I'd rather not go back and have to do the site over from scratch if there's a way around it.
    any suggestions would be appreciated...

It does exist on your iDisk because the site is still active and online. Have you setup iDisk syncing to your Mac creating a duplicate locally? If so is that the iDisk that you are looking at or tried to delete from?
While in the Finder select the Go menu and go to the iDisk ➙ My iDisk... option. That will mount your iDisk where you can go to the iDisk/Web/Sites folder and look for your web site folder.

    Hi,
Microsofts answer is called WAP (Web Application Proxy):
    http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/library/dn584113.aspx
There are also solutions from other vendors like:
    Sophos UTM
    Blue Coat
    Citrix Netscaler.
The solution depends on your requirements. WAP in 2012 R2 has only some basic reverse publishing functionality, WAP in Windows Server next will have more functions:

  • Webcam Instant is End Of Life??

I bought a Webcam Instant from Amazon ONE WEEK AGO. It said it would work with "IM services including Skype", but I can't make it work. • Flash reader versions

    Hi all
can you help? In my (archaic) organisation we are using Flash
7, which is in the pipeline for upgrade any time now to ver9.
Question - does anyone know if there are any implications in
reversioning published files from 7 to 9, and if so what is the
    workaround?
Many thanks for your help in advance
    Robbie

    > If all you are using is Captivate, there is really no

    there is nothing

Just to confirm - yes you are right, Flash player versions
    are always
backwards-compatible, so if you publish for Flash 7,the files
    will play
perfectly well in Flash Player 7, 8, 9, 10 and beyond.

  • BizTalk published WCF service throwing HTTP 404 error using ISA reverse proxy settings

I have published my schemas as a WCF service from BizTalk 2010 "Publish WCF Service" wizard. I used Wcf-basicHTTP adapter in receive port. I am able to run the service successfully on localhost IIS and I tested my biztalk solution by sending request using SOAP UI and got response successfully.... Now: Actually, I need to give this service endpoint to my vendor who will send request from outside my company's network i.e. internet. In my infrastrucrue BizTalk is behind the firewall so, we setup a REVERSE proxy server at DMZ layer and it is configured properly. I have tested a simple WCF service by replacing the localhost with Proxy server configured address <DNSName> and it worked absolutely fine. But when I change localhost in my BizTalk schema based published WCF service it is not working and I am getting following error. Really strugling to get it resolved. I wasted a whole 3 days....very upset. Please help me out by giving the detailed step solution. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. Requested URL: /BizTalkServiceInstance/MyService.svc I am surprized why other c# code based WCF services are working fine with reverse proxy settings. Server Error in '/' Application. The resource cannot be found. Is there any special things to consider Biztalk exposed wcf servcie over ssl in IIS cluster with ISA

    Hi Singam :)
First I would start by browsing any other files (files other than the one from WCF) just to ensure that the reverse-proxy’s redirection rules are set correctly. If you get the same 404 error when you try to access other service/files “through reverse-proxy”,
then it’s an issue in the redirection rule(s) in reverse-proxy.
If others are fine i.e. no issue in reverse-proxy setup as such, then try the following for WCF service's web.config file. I have seen this issue in WCF service (not just BizTalk’s artifacts exposed as service in reverse-proxy). Add serviceHostingEnvironment
config as show with in serviceModel section.
    <system.serviceModel>
    <serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true" multipleSiteBindingsEnabled="true" />
    </system.serviceModel>

  • Reverser Replication not working for 2 Publish Instance

We have setup environment for 1 author and 2 Publish servers.  Configured replication agent and reverse replication agent for both Publish Instances. For custom created comments (Java code from external Portal to create comment node) then reverse replication does not replicate comment on Author Instance. But when I post comment for campaign through CQ publish environment then it works properly. It gets replicated on Author Instance. So can anyone let me know what could be missing part for comments generated through custom java script.
    Yogesh

    Hi Sham,
In one of environment we are using publish and author server. Custom comments are replicating on Author environment.  We are not using custom workflow or JCR observation.Created one more environment for Production setup where 2 publish and 1 author instance. For this comment are not auto replicated on Author instance.
Default comment modification and comment activation launcher are in place, no change in this. Does it not working due to additional Publish Instance and if so what additional setting will required to address it ?
    Thanks

  • Publish Lync Externally without Reverse Proxy

    Hello All,
Well let me start out by saying I'm well aware that publishing lync externally without a reverse proxy is not suggested due to security measures. To get to the point I have the following questions regarding setting this up. As of right now
I have lync fully working internally only.
    Here is my current setup
1 standard front end server with one nic card that has two ip addresses assigned to it and is signed with our internal CA,
I also have an edge server that has two interfaces. One interface is facing external with three public IP addresses with the AV one set as the primary, This interface has a public UC cert applied to it. The other interface is using a private ip address that
has a cert from our internal CA.
    My questions are as follow
    1. I currently have a GoDaddy UCC cert that allows me to have 5 San's. I'm trying to maximize this cert but am unsure of how to configure the SAN's. Which sans should be on the certificate so that I can use it for the edge server (av.domain.com/webconf.domain.com/access.domain.com)
and lync front end external cert (lync.domain.com and meet.domain.com). I also have a wildcard cert from GoDaddy for *.domain.com however I can not attach SAN's to it I was wondering if this could be used for meet.domain.com or autodiscover.domain.com?
    2. Regarding external DNS entries so far I have the following:
webconf.domain.com -> to the ip for webconf on edge server public interface
av.domain.com -> to the ip for av on edge server public interface
access.domain.com -> to the IP for the access on edge server public interface
lync.domain.com -> to the IP configured for external access on the lync front end server ( I have configured IIS on this site to listen to port 80 and 443 as stated in Ken Lasko's blog post)
meet.domain.com -> to the IP configured for external access on the lync front end server
Now my question is do i need to add the autodiscover.domain.com and if so where do I point this entry to? Also can how can I configure this setup to work with lync mobile device.

As for the Reverse proxy if going that route:
    External DNS
    lyncdiscover.domain.edu -
Point to Reverse Proxy Public IP
lync.domain.edu (this is used as our external webservices url) -
Point to Reverse Proxy Public IP
meeting.domain.edu (/meet and /dialin for the simple url's) - Point to Reverse Proxy Public IP
sip.domain.edu (this is currently pointing to our external edge server access ip) - Correct
av.domain.edu (this is currently pointing to our external edge server av ip) - Correct
webcon.domain.edu (this is currently pointing to our external edge server webconf ip)  - Correct
    Internal DNS
You should setup Split DNS or pinpoint zones as meet/Lyncdiscover/sip/dialin records should be created for the domain.edu: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398758.aspx
Lyncdiscover.domain.edu - Not required Internally but should point to the private IP (external interface) of the Reverse
proxy to direct 443 to 4443.
    lync.domain.edu -Point
to the private IP (external interface) of the Reverse proxy to direct 443 to 4443
Lyncdiscoverinternal.edu - pointed to front end server ip
meeting.domain.edu - pointed to front end server ip
lgcclync2013.domain.cc (this is our FE server) - pointed to our front ender server ip  - correct
Cisco ASAs don't allow hair-pining of the firewall this is why the internal dns needs to have the lync.domain.edu pointing to an internal IP that can redirect 443 to 4443
(reverse proxy) instead of pointing to the Public IP of the reverse proxy: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh690030.aspx
    Hi Michael,
Thank you for all your help. I've set up and configured both the external dns and the IIS ARR, but now I'm running into an error when I try to connect any of the following sites https://lyncdiscover.domain.edu, https://meeting.domain.com,
https://lync.domain.edu I get an Internal 500 error. When I check the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer under
Lync Autodiscover Web Service Remote Connectivity Test I get the following error
Testing HTTP authentication methods for URL https://lyncdiscover.domain.edu/Autodiscover/AutodiscoverService.svc/root/user.
    HTTP authentication test failed.
    Additional Details
An HTTP 500 response was returned from IIS7.

    Elapsed Time: 286 ms.
I created 3 server farms on the IIS ARR sever
Lync.domain.edu which is being directed to lgcclync2013.domain.cc ports 8080 and 4443 LyncDiscover.domain.edu which is being directed to lgcclync2013.domain.cc ports 8080 and 4443
meeting.domain.edu which is being directed to lgcclync2013.domain.cc ports 8080 and 4443 When I ping lgcclync2013.domain.cc from the IIS Server it resolved
correctly to the right IP address.

  • Reverse changes made but not published

I’ve made three calls to Apple Care tech support who give me the IWEB support people but I’m not getting a satisfactory answer to my question. I built a nice little website for my pet sitting business using the IWEB application and was happy with it. But everyone complained I was not being found in any search engines and that I had to bypass the IWEB application and use an SEO tool to add “key” words into the script.
I started out OK, but couldn’t do the whole site in one sitting including updating all the links etc., so I saved but DID NOT publish. I now no longer want to try and bypass the IWEB app because its just too confusing to me to try and make minor changes when I want to regarding the content and now the links are all screwed up because I was instructed to bypass Apple’s navigation bar and put in one with the SEO tool. Anyway, my question is, how can I revert back to my original site (which appears to the public) but not on the IWEB files I have to work with on my computer?
I saved copies of the site before I tried to change it, but the Apple people say that the HTML files are gone and can’t be retrieved because I don’t have a copy on my IDisk anywhere. Not sure what that is. Other than starting from scratch and building an entirely new site, is there anyway to retrieve the html files from what I saved and be able to just copy them back into the IWEB application? I am a major computer dyslectic when it comes to understanding all this stuff, so I’m totally confused and would appreciate any help you can offer.
    Thank you very much.

    Welcome to the discussions.

No — only iWeb's Domain file can be opened in iWeb. See this Apple doc on How to back up MobileMe data. It says:
“Any websites you have published with iWeb should still be available within iWeb. iWeb stores everything in a Domain file, normally located in the ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder (although it can be moved). If you no longer have this file, you can view your currently published pages and manually recreate them within iWeb, but *there is no way to import published pages back into iWeb*. You can manually back up the Domain file, or use Backup to back it up.”
Consider using another site builder — weebly.com is a popular, free web-based builder which works via drag & drop in your web browser. Here are some links to just a few of the features Weebly provides:

  • Is Web Application Proxy enough as a secure Reverse Proxy/publishing solution

    Hello,
What are people's thoughts on using the Web Application Proxy role as a reverse proxy with only a Firewall between it and the internet...?
We need to replace our ISA 2006 boxes and I have been advocating using WAP with ADFS.
However other 'Reverse Proxy' solution available seem to have more capabilities then just WAP and a Firewall; without  we leave ourselves exposed. For instance FortiNet's product FortiWeb has the following 'additional' capabilities:
Protection for application layer attacks (SQL Injection, XSS, PHP/OS/LDAP/RFI/LFI injection and more)
Automatic layer 7 anomaly-based application baselining and threat detection
Data Leak Prevention (CC, SSN, server/application leakage)
    IP Reputation
Are these required? Does WAP provide these capabilities but use different terminology?

    Hi,
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn383650.aspx
You will see that Web Application Proxy is designed as a perimeter solution (=running in DMZ)
FortiWeb's product seems a web application firewall. This is a security solution. Security solutions are seldom required, but can help keeping your environment secure.
IIS can also server as a reverse proxy and can do some security stuff too (ip and domain restictions, request filtering,...)
Whether one or the other is the best solution for you, depends on your requirements.
