Use T.Code: as02 and click on Depreciation areas, then double click on Depreciation area(example :01 - book dep), there u can select the field allow negative postings allowed. Once this process is completed, remove that indicator.

  • Error when reversing settlement back to Auc - Balance in transaction curren

    Hi,
We get following error when reversing a settlement from asset back to Auc (using AIST):
FI/CO interface : Balance in transaction currency
    Message No. RW022
This error only occurs when we settle a portion of the amount sitting in AuC and not the full amount. (When we settle full amount in AuC to final asset we can reverse no problem).
When we do a partial settlement to final asset, SAP creates a document and in that document it posts a debit and credit for the unsettled amount e.g. 50k in Auc and we settle 45k to final asset with 5k remaining in Auc -  the document looks as follows
    AuC     5,000.00-
    Auc      5,000.00
    AuC    45,000.00
    Final Asset    25,000.00-
    Final Asset    20,000.00-
The 5k above is the unsettled amount still sitting in AuC
When we try reverse we get error message RW022 and detail is as follows:
The balances in transaction currency must be zero for each logical
transaction when transferring to the FI/CO interface. A balance of "
5,000.00-" "CAD" was determined for the logical transaction "AZVZ".
    System Response
The FI/CO interface does not process any transactions which have a
balance in transaction currency other than zero.
    Procedure
This is a system error of the calling application.
Note:  We do use line item settlement in asset classes
    Much appreciate any help..

  • FI-AA: Unable to settle costs off of AUC

In Depreciation area 01 (Book Depreciation), planned/posted values were recorded on an AUC via settlement from WBS Elements during FY 2006.
In Depreciation area 80 (Insurance Values), planned/posted values were recorded on an AUC via settlement from WBS Elements during FY 2006.  Planned depreciation values are calculated and post as Non-Insurable value on the AUC during FY 2006.
In FY 2007, all values posted to the associated WBS Element are journal entried off to another WBS Element and the AUC is zeroed out once the settlement from the WBS Element has posted.  The Non-Insurable value has been carried forward to FY 2007 and remains on AUC.
In FY 2008, an AMR is created.  Both Settlement to AMR for Current Year and Settlement to AMR for Prior Year are executed but the Non-Insurable value still remains on the AUC.  This has prevented us from Closing the WBS Element and deactivating the AUC.
I'm assuming that when you execute Settlement to AMR - Prior Year that it only goes back and looks at the previous FY and not all previous years, which is why the Non-Insurable value remains on the AUC.
I need to clear this Non-Insurable value, which was posted two years ago, off the AUC so that we can Close the WBS Element.  Any ideas on how to do that?
Also when it comes to AMR creation, is it common practice to create the AMR at the same time the AUC is created or at least have the AMR created by the end of the next FY?  In our situation above I think if we would have created the AMR in FY 2007 and executed Settlement to AMR - Prior FY in FY 2007 we not have encountered this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the response.
Note 425601, if I'm reading it correctly, explains how to settle costs posted in previous years from the WBS Element to an AUC.
In my situation all costs have been settled from the WBS Element.  I have an AUC that has costs on it from two years ago that I don't know how to settle to an AMR.  This preventing us from Closing the WBS Element.

  • WBS element is updated while settling cost from WBS to AUC

    Hi Experts
At the time of settlement , when we settling the cost from WBS to AUC , WBS element is updated in AUC line item of accounting document , but it should not be updated actually.
As result AUC cost is loaded on WBS and budget of WBS is get affected , furthermore system is not allowing for MIGO even budget is available but in CJ30 it is showing assigned value is more then original budget.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards
    shailesh

    Hi Saurabh ,
I totally agree with you , but in our case system is not allowing(Error Message: Budget Exceeded) MIGO against capex PO - > WBS.
Note : in our case , system is checking budget at the time of MIGO also.
in our case , report  S_ALR_87013558 is showing wrong actual value and  also in CJ30 , total assigned value is larger then total distributable budget , As result our available budget gets negative figure in report S_ALR_87013558 , even i have already run CJEN->CJBN 2 or 3 times.
Note: Our Commitment value is correct.
Actually , according to report S_ALR_87013542 , system is showing correct actual value , that means we have sufficient available budget for further MIGO's
Now may be , due to WBS element is updated in AUC line item of accouning document of settlement (WBS to AUC) , system loads AUC values to WBS unnecessarily , our available budget gets negative figure.
For your reference , i am attaching screen shot of accounting document which is generated at the time of settlement from WBS to AUC.

  • WBS element settlement to an AUC

    Hi Everyone,
WBS element is settled to an AUC asset on periodic basis and on completion of the project the AUC is settled to a regular asset; in this process once the project is complete its status is set to technically complete before settling the AUC to regular asset. Now, my question is if there is a requirement to continue the same project as a second phase meaning incurring the costs to the same WBS element which is set as TECO; is that something possible at all i.e,. to post the costs on a WBS that is technically complete? If so, then would it be possible to settle the second phase costs to a new AUC asset and so forth for third and fourth phases of the project.
Your input in this regard is highly appreciated and will be awarded with points.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kumar

    Hi Abhilasha,
Thanks a lot for your input. I have one more question; according to your information once WBS status is set to TECO it still can take FI postings in that case would those postings be settled? If so, then could that be a AUC? I know you said a WBS can be settled to only one AUC but, the client here wants to settle it to a new AUC for the second phase of construction of the project. So, settling the WBS to a new AUC is not at all a possibility? Could you please confirm?
I did not quite understand the point that WBS can take FI Postings after it is set to status TECO, could you please clarify a little bit on that?
    Thanks,
    Kumar

  • Manually Posting costs to AUC

    Hi Experts,
    A) In Old server:
A1. There is some cost in AUC, which has been partially settled from WBS Element to the Asset no. of AUC.
    B) New Server:
B1. The cost available in AUC of old server has to be migrated in a new sever. And then same cost has to be settled from AUC of New server to the fixed asset of new server
    Problems:
    1.     How to manually post the costs in Asset no. of AUC of new server?
    2.     There is no cost line item in a WBS element of AUC of new server. How to define a settlement rule (from AUC to Fixed Asset) for a such a kind of WBS element?
    Kindly do the nedful
    Thanks and Regards,
    Satya Vani.

    Hi,
As far as my knowledge goes when you have a two step settlement i.e, Prliminary to AUC and Final to Main assets, all the actual costs have to be posted to AUC periodically and before close of Asset year. Once asset year is closed system will not allow you to post previous year's costs to AUC in the current year.
A work around will be to create a duplicate WBSe transfer all the unsettled costs to it and continue with the settlement.

  • Transfer Costs from AUC to Work Order

    Hi,
Pre go-live balaces where loaded directly to the AUC, as opposed to the Work Order then settled to the AUC.
All of our capital reporting is done at work order level, therefore I want to transfer the balance from the AUC to the work order and then re-settle the work order back to the AUC. At present we cannot see the legacy costs relating to the capital project against the work order.
Is it possible to transfer costs off the AUC back to the Work Order?
    Thanks
    Jonski

    Andres,
Yes you could accomplish it through the process you had mentioned. It would probably be the simplest way to accomplish your requirement as well.

  • Define a settlement cost element for receiver type FXA

    Hi,
While settling the AUC internal order,i am gettingg the below error.Kindly advice me
Define a settlement cost element for receiver type FXA
    Message no. KD506
    Diagnosis
In allocation structure A1 (controlling area AFCO), you did not define which cost element should be used when settling costs/revenues of the sender. Nor did you define receiver type FXA.
    Procedure
Assign a different allocation structure to the settlement sender (-> Master data -> Settlement rule -> Goto -> Settlement parameters), or maintain allocation structure A1.
    Thanks
    Supriya

    Hi Supriya,
Go to SPRO-> Controlling > Internal orders>Actual postings>Settlement> Maintain Allocation structures & choose A1 and go to assignment, select the relevant category like raw material / consumption and then go to source, check the range of cost elements first then click the settlement cos t element and under that choose FXA and define the settlement cost element which must be created under 22 category.
After maintainig the above, you will not get the error anymore.

  • Settled costs don't display in hierachy and by cost element report!

    Hi Experts,
After doing project settlement, I check in hierarchy cost report (S_ALR_87013533) and by cost element report (S_ALR_87013543) and found that: Costs which had been settled did not display anymore!!
It's not my expectation because I want to see the total actual cost of project.
    Please help to advise.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Khoa Huynh

    Hi Sreenivas Kadiam,
So you mean that only when we settle project cost to CO production order, in Project cost report, balance will be zero is the standard behavior, am I right?
Because when I settled the project cost to AUC, the total actual cost of project still display in Project cost report.
    Thanks and best regards,

  • Reverse Settlement Document

    Hi,
Can some one advise how to reverse the settlement document posted during the year 2007, period 4 via transaction code KO88.
System says " Reversal not possible; last settlement was in period 006 2009"
    Thanks
    Billa2009

    Hello,
    For error:KD547,
The posting period needs to belong to the same fiscal year, otherwise the error msg will be issued.
Postings and reversals cross fiscal years are not supported as they do
not comply with the idea of financial periodic accrual. See attached
    note 140672, point 3.
It might be in an extraordinary case though, that a cross year reversal
might be accepted for the given case by your financial auditor.
Then a posting might be legally possible.
However in R/3 it can likely be permited just by a modification.
Firstly check through note 140672, it describes the options for settling
costs from previous years without modification.
    Pls.also check relative notes:
    372630     Information: Reversal for settlement
359814     Info: Cannot reverse settlement reversal
140672     Info: Settle/reverse costs from previous per

    Purchase Order #  125025
    Goods Receipt # 16426
    Landed Cost 15332

If i select the A/P invoice and copy to A/P Credit memo and preview the journal remarks first, the following error occurs
"Quantiy falls into a negative inventory"
My Question however are if I do proceed with this function, will this rectify the landed cost?
Please view the screen shots attached for investigation as well as the journal remarks on each document
    Inventory Posting List:
The reason for not posting to the stock account is because the AR Invoice was been done before the landed cost has been processed:
At the time of landed cost there were no stock on hand, this has been the reason why the amount has been posted to the Price difference ledger account  and not the stock account.
