Reverse Syncing from Gmail notes to iOS

Hello,
I am using the default notes application on my iPhone 4. I had switched to Android for a month and bought Gnotes in Google play store and created lot of notes and it synced with the same notes in my gmail account as it did before on my iOS5. Recently when i switched back to iOS6 the notes i created on my gmail is not syncing back onto my iPhone.
Although all the new notes i am creating on iPhone are getting synced to my gmail account but older ones are not downloaded on iPhone. Any tips to get it back ? Worst thing, i will write them again on my iPhone.

Thanks man... it did help me mostly. Although i had to manually copy paste from Gmail to iCloud.com and it came on my phone but it didn't sync both the notes from Gmail as well as iCloud so its either Gmail or iCloud. But this is still good and better than manually writing it
Appreciate your help.

  • Droid Razr Calendar Events synced from Gmail not visible in month only in Agenda

In my old windows phone, I could see the events of the day in the monthly view, but on my droid razr, I cannot see what events there are in the monthly display but only in the agenda display.  I have searched and still not able to find if this is possible with the droind razr.  I can see in the Google calendar the events showing in the monthly display.  Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.  I love the phone, but not this lack of calendar visibility. Perry

    DroidRazr,
Good morning! I know the importance of a monthly view on the calendar, as I was just looking for this on my Galaxy Nexus the other day!  I recommend checking out the Android Market for a calendar application (or even widget) to get the experience that you enjoy the best! That's the great thing about the customization of Android. I'm glad you love the phone otherwise, I'm sure the Market will have what you need to love everything about the Droid Razr.
    Thank you!

  • Not all phone numbers sync from Gmail to iPhone

Is there a way to control which phone numbers sync from my Gmail Contacts to my iPhone (and vice-versa)?
    A few things I've noticed:
    - only 1 "mobile" number gets synced from gmail to iphone (which is a pain when a contact has mobile numbers is a couple of different countries)
    - a number labled as "other" in gmail doesn't get synced at all to the iphone
I should mention that I have my Gmail account on my iPhone set up as an "Exchange" account.
    Thanks.

If you've got Gmail set up as an Exchange account, your options for labels are limited. And, every now and then, I had it randomly relabel things. I'd recommend syncing the contacts through a standard Gmail set up. If you want to keep using your email through Exchange you can do that. Just turn off contacts for that account. When you set up the standard Gmail account (IMAP), only turn on contacts. I've found it works much better.

  • How do I reverse sync from 4s to MacBook Pro?

So I got nearly 200 songs, not much.
So I wanna sync them from my phone, which is a 4S, to my brand new MacBook Pro (I got it last night xD).
Problem is, about 160 of them are not iTunes purchased, they were downloaded from YouTube to my desktop, and well yea. I tried Sepuni or something like that, but it wouldn't transfer everything in playlist forms. I am very OCDish on my music. I keep it very organized, and I wanna keep it that way, and it took me about and hour and half to rename all the files and move them into folders in my Music folders, and double the time for iTunes. *sigh*
So basically, how do I get all my music onto my Mac the way it's organized on my phone without paying for anything?

Easy. You copy the whole iTunes folder from the computer with which you previously synced to the new computer, replacing the empty iTunes folder there, then start iTunes.  Otherwise you may well be out of luck, and that goes double if you expect these utilities to be free on the Mac platform.  Oh, you can export the playlists from the iOS device, but that's just the text listing, not a complete package of playlist and media.
Some of the information below has subsequently appeared in a document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

  • Contacts from gmail not syncing to icloud

    Hi,
I am using an iphone 6 and having a difficult time trying to sync the contacts to icloud.
Already synced contacts from my gmail to iphone using carddav account information in the contacts settings.
But this contact list is not being synced to icloud (Ony the new contacts i add are being synced)
How do I sync these contacts to icloud?
    Thanks

    Hey firedude3!
It’s possible that you have iCloud syncing turned on for your calendar, but not turned on for your Contacts. Make sure that the Contact syncing is turned on by following the instructions listed here:
    Add contacts - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph14a87326
    Besides entering contacts, you can:
Use your iCloud contacts:  Go to Settings > iCloud, then turn on Contacts.
If that setting is already turned on, then you will want to use this article as reference for troubleshooting the issue:

  • Reverse syncing from iPhone 3GS to iPhoto?

I sync my iPhone to my MacBook with iPhoto 2009. I have no problems.
Now the Mrs. wants to sync her iPhone 3GS to my MacBook.
    Here's my question:
She already has a bunch of photo albums and video albums on her iPhone. They are NOT in the cameral roll, but are in various albums under "Photos" from when we synced her iPhone on her POS Windows Craptastic laptop.
When I go to sync her phone to iPhoto 2009 via the MacBook's iTunes, a message comes up warning that syncing would delete the photos on her iPhone and replace them with photos from iPhoto.
I want to keep the photos she has on her iPhone, preferably syncing them across into iPhoto on the MacBook. I'm afraid that if I sync her phone and photos to the MacBook, I will lose forever that which is already on her iPhone.
    Any ideas please?

The sync process for photos from your computer to your iPhone is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone. Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone are optimized for viewing on the iPhone as part of the iTunes transfer process, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported (the original resolution is reduced), which should remain on the computer used for transferring the photos from. Photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring photos from another computer, all photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
The iPhone does not support disk mode. It can't be used as an external flash drive for transferring data from one computer to another.
Your Mrs. needs to transfer the photos from her PC to your Mac importing the photos into iPhoto. This can be done with an external hard drive or with a USB Flash drive or pen.

  • Reverse Sync from ECC to MDG

    Hi Experts,
we have a co-deploy scenario with MDG as an add-on in our ECC system. We have a portal interface(MDG-F) for users to change master data.
usually changes are very few so never had a problem but we recently had a major reorg and had to immediately reflect it into our ECC system for reporting. since the number of changes were high, the business users forced us to update the master data directly into ECC.
assuming a co-deploy option refers to the same master data tables, we assumed the same data will be visible via MDG as well but this does not seem to be the case. We do not see the changes via MDG.
need help here to sync the master data back to MDG and to avoid having to manually enter the data via MDG again. Or if there is any option to make mass changes via MDG.
    regards
    Yogesh

    Hi Yogesh,
basically you have broken the most important role of MDG: any data that is governed by MDG should never be changed in the ERP backend. Please consider the same for any future scenarios! MDG can support "emergency changes", e.g. by a simplified workflow template that is assigned to a corresponding change request type (and of cause a very strict authorization who is allowed to use the related CR type).
Additionally your understanding of a "co-deployment" is unfortunately not correct. "Co-deployment" means that from a technical perspective your MDG system runs on the productive ECC instance. The "Hub deployment" would mean, that there are dedicated and separated systems for MDG and the ECC instance. This does not affect the actual storage of active master data!
The storage of master data is defined by the related MDG data model (respectively its entity types). MDG generally supports "Flexible" data models and "Re-Use" data models. "Flexible" means that both inactive and active data are stored within the generated database tables of MDG. "Re-Use" means that only inactive data is stored within the generated tables, but active data is stored in the corresponding ECC tables.
The pre-defined data model of SAP are defined as follows:
    MDG-M: re-use
    MDG-BP/C/S: re-use
    MDG-F: flexible
That explains why your ECC changes are not seen in MDG-F. The solve this issue, you have to either perform the same changes in MDG-F, or you could load the data from ECC to MDG-F.
    Best regards
    Michael

  • Can you reverse synce from Itouch to PC

I have a Dell with XP, and the c: drive is pretty much filled up. I would like to just delete a bunch of the songs I have on the computer if I know that I can sync them back up to it from my itouch. Is this possible?

It's not possible using Apple's software (a feature to limit file sharing) - only +iTunes Store+ bought music can be synced back. There are several iPod touch compatible third party applications but why not just buy a large external hard disk?
External hard drives are cheap, will backup your current system and files and provide extra storage space. A full hard disk will lead to a slow computer and deleting a few music tracks will only stave off the inevitable for a few months. More storage is the answer here.

  • Email replies from Gmail not showing up?

    Hi everyone...
I've been corresponding with a person who uses Gmail. This person has sent me several email replies unbeknownst to me! When she finally composed a separate email, I got it. In it, she asked if I had received the other emails? I responded, "what emails?". She stated that she replied to 3 of my earlier emails but I never got them.
I also have 4 Gmail accounts, so I decided to send an email to one of my Gmail accounts so that I could "reply" to it. Well lo-and-behold, I heard the email alert sound on my Mac Pro and MacBook Pro but neither one displayed the email. This was yesterday afternoon. To this day, I haven't seen the emails that my friend sent me, nor have I seen my own reply to myself from my Gmail account. Weird... very weird. This is new, since upgrading to Yosemite too. Other than that... I haven't noticed any other issues. But this is a big one... since I conduct my home-based business from my Apple email server...
Any assistance is immensely appreciated...  -- Andy

  • Emails from gmail not shown on Blackberry

Since I have had problems with my other email account, I recently "moved" all my business email correspondence to my gmail account, which I had rather used as a backup before. I had had both my accounts set up on my blackberry and as far as I remember both were up and running well, but I cannot tell for sure as I rarely ever received emails on gmail.
The problems that I have now (I have meanwhile also had to re-set my blackberry, but all should be ok again now) is that the gmail account does not work properly after setting up. In the beginning it seemed to work rather fine, but now it is extremely erratic at best, with some emails coming through and being received at the blackberry, most not at all and if so with a delay of up to a couple of days (!).
This makes the combination of my now primary mail account at gmail and my blackberry upon which I rely heavily for communication when I'm out of the house completely unusable.
I have heard and read (though mostly in internet posts that are a couple years old) that this seems to be a common problem with gmail accounts and the blackberry. Is this really unfixable?
    Is there any workaround?
If all fails, would using a new account (again) be the only solution left - what would be a mail provider that harmonises 100% with the blackberry email program?
    Thank you very much!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you re-read the above again, you will see that it starts by stating you should NOT do those steps via WiFi. So the way you state you are operating is the proper way to conduct those steps. And, as steps, all three are required, with proceeding to the next step requiring success of the prior. So skipping step 1 would mean failure of step 1...

  • After recent update, all but 7 songs disappeared from my iPhone 5 while I was driving. This is the third time! I only sync from cloud, not the computer. I had over 600 songs and its a pain to keep reloading!

IPhone 5 keeps dropping my songs, this after an update. I know it's a software issue. I have shut down and re-started, I have made sure there's available space, etc. this is the third time in the last 2 weeks. Help!

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

  • Can't send from Gmail on office wifi - iOS 7

I as well as the rest of my office have been unable to send emails from Gmail accounts on iOS 7 devices. iOS 6 devices send, but slowly. Shut off wifi and send via wireless data works just fine. Sending from home wifi works just fine. According to mail setttings, doesn't appear to be a port switch but unsure how to instruct the IT dude on anything on the wirewall that may need to be adjusted. Any thoughts?

  • Syncing contacts from GMAIL to IPHONE

So OF COURSE, like all things tech/software related for me, I've tried everything I've found on how to delete contacts, clean up contacts, sync from Gmail, and I just flat out CAN'T.
    Tried this: http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&topic=14252&answer=138740
and of course, the "What would you like to do with existing local contacts on your Iphone" screen does not come up. I already freaking HAVE gmail on this phone, adding it as an MS Exchange account does nothing for me.
Tried mass deleting via itunes info tab>advanced. It simply "syncs" and is finished in 2 seconds. Go into my phone, I STILL HAVE 3800+ CONTACTS. So that didn't work either. SHOCKER.
Tried like 3 apps, looks as if I've succeeded. Go into my phone, 3800+ contacts.
Besides WHY ME? my question is, does iCloud have anything to do with why these freaking things won't go away?
I want to accomplish 1 of these 3 things:
Have ALL my contacts currently in my phone (or on the cloud) replaced with my gmail contacts.
Have ALL my contacts currently in my phone replaced with gmail contacts AND facebook contacts, with all data (phone numbers, bdays, email addresses, ect) related to that person, under ONE contact. I have 2 numbers, and 2 email addresses for Maddie Jackson, why the **** would I want to display that as 4 contacts?!
Delete ALL contacts currently in my phone (or on the cloud), so I have ZERO contacts when I tap the freaking phone button, then export my gmail contacts FROM gmail onto the iPhone. Can someone PLEASE help me?!

  • How to Display All Contacts From Gmail ..?

I hate Blur.  There's something there that only shows a subset of my Gmail Contacts.  I know on my wife's Ally and my OLD Nexus One I just went in and added the extra "groups" but I don't see that on the X.
How do I get to see all my Gmail contacts?
Update: looks like it's only displaying My Contacts from Gmail, not the groups I have.

So is the only way to get all contacts to sync across (or at least, to appear; they are on the phone, just not displaying - search and you can find them) is to make them all in the My Contacts group in Gmail?  That is pretty silly.  Isn't there another way?
