Reverse tutorial problems

Hi,
I have created the database tables in Oracle 7.3.4 from the definitions in
the tutorial, generated the schema.xml file, etc. When I come to querying
the data, I get the following error when performing > java
reversetutorial.Finder "price < 5.0"

When I look at the schema.xml the price field (set up as a Float in Oracle),
is defined as
<column name="PRICE" type="other" not-null="true" size="126"/>
This is reflected by the entry in reversetutorial.jdo:

<extension vendor-name="kodo" key="data-column"
value="PRICE"/>
</field>
And when I run jdoc reversetutorial.jdo, the following output is generated:
WARNING: Field "price" in type "class reversetutorial.Magazine" is of a
class that cannot be persisted. Defaulting to a BLOB mapping.
What's the deal? Why won't this work?

could you elaborate on what you mean? What do you mean by 'tailor your
metadata and source to match your needs using the reverse-mapping tool
as a starting point.' ?

Due to the old Oracle version, I'm guessing your driver is not reporting
accurate information back to us to parse. I would tailor your
