Revert back the transports done using CMS

Hi.
Please let me know how to revert back the transports that are done using CMS.
If once the transport of the namespace has been done from DEV to CONS, can we revert back the transport so that the CONS system will have only those objects that it had before the transport.
I've gone through help.sap.com and some of the forums here regarding transports, but couldn't find the solution.
Please help me out in this regard.

Hi,
It is not possbile revert back the changes that are done using CMS. There is a scope to redo these changes at Oracle database level by redo logs but it is not at all suggestible as it may lead to inconsistencies.

Hi,
This should work if you are using File Transport
go to the "Imported files" folder in Production and copy the second latest file and place it in Import folder and Import again
This will come with the older chages

How to revert back the loaded records using LSMW tool

I have question regarding the loading of a flat file using LSMW tool. I loaded the flat file(.txt) data into prodcution server insted of testing server . Is it possible to revert back the data which was loaded into production? Please provide me if any .............

Can we revert back a transport

Hi,
Recently we have imported a transport request in D environment which is given by SAP. As there are some errors we need to revert back that transport. We do not have option to retrieve the previous version in Version management. Because all objects are standard objects. So is there a way to revert back the transport request?

I dont know whether this may give solution to you.
As You didnt transport the request yet to Quality System, so you can copy the code which is currently avialable in Quality back to Development system for the object.

How to revert back the changes that have made to Infoset

Dear Experts,
Can any one help me with solution for the below issue?
I have activated(checked) some navigational attributes to the infocube "XYZ".This "XYZ" infocube is used in Infoset and as well as in multiprovider.Instead of activating navigational attributes in the infoset ,mistakenly i have removed the infocube and reassigned(reconnected with previous settings) in the infoset.Now i realized that the technical reference names in infoset(For ex:"ABC_F12,ABC_F13") got changed and giving the problem in Multiprovider.And there are n number of queries build based on the multiprovider.
While iam trying to activate the inactived Multiprovider iam getting an error message saying "inactive infoobjects ...(.ABC_F12,ABC_F13 are not available)....
Can any body help me how to revert back the changes for the Infoset that i have made or anyother process to sort out this issue.
Earlier solutions will be appreciated.

If the changes have been saved, then there is no automatic way of reverting the changes. To get the Infoset in the reqd state, you will have to move an unchanged copy into the dev sys. The easiest way would be to transport a copy from the Prod sys. But first you have to check whether the transport path exists. With the help of Basis team, you can do this.

The easiest way would be to transport a copy from the Prod sys. But first you have to check whether the transport path exists. With the help of Basis team, you can do this.

All you have to do is create an order of transport type "Transport of copies" in PRO.
I give you the steps to follow:
1. Go to SE01 and create a new order (remember the type "Transport of copies").
2. Enter the data of the order of transport that is going to come back.
3. Enter the target, here is where you asign the target system to carry the request.
4. Now just add the number of request to the new request you just created.
5. Finally released the request from this transaction.
6. Check on the queue of transport in DES, the request must appear there.

Import back the transport request to Development Server

Hi All,
I need to import back the Transport request which is in Quality Server to Development Server.
For ex: DEV900764 from Quality to Development Server.
But the same(DEV900764 ) transport request is available in Development also.
How to overwrite the transport request which in Development server ?
I deleted the request in se01, stms in DEV server.
Once i updated the copy of Quality to Development in co-file,data file in OS level. But still it show the old one(DEV copy) while importing thro' stms in development server.
How to solve this ?

Hi Milan,
Even though you have deleted the request in Development system and later copy the co-file and data file from Quality to Development it will be the same. What is the reason of transporting from Quality to Development.
Normally requests will move from Development to Quality and to production as you already know. Once the request is released from development and transported to next systems that request will have same data in the request what it was at the time it was released and whenever you re-transport that request it will have same changes.
Why you want to do from Quality to development. If you find any differences in the changes of quality and development then some one might have done the chages directly in quailty with client being opened. If it is the same case then you need to take care of the system and avoid any direct changes. If as per my assumption if really there is any difference then make the necessary changes directly in development instead of wanting to transport from Quality.
Transporting from Quality to development is not good practise.....

How to revert back the deleted the message varient in Process chain

By mistake i have deleted the message varient for one loading infopackage process in one process chain in production.
These chain was not in dev and quality. I need to know this message and to whom they were sending this message.
Is there any way to know revert back the message details ?

It was physically deleted.
I will explain in more detail :
i have one process chain which has 4 info packages in parellel, after these info packages there is END process which combines all info packages.In this END process there was a Message which used to send mails to business users.
Today i have removed the END process by mistkenly. I dont know what was the message and who are the recepitents.
It has happend in production and we dont have any back up.
Now i want know the what was message and to whom this message was used to send.

Hi Sudeep,
If u delete the task and transport the request then changes made will not be transported. But next time when someone does the changes and transports it , then the changes that you dont want currently will also come into picture..
So, it is a better solution to modify the changes accordingly.

Revert back the code

In my pgm i used insert <XXX>(xxxx-pgm name) from itab but already some code was present in the pgm.After using the insert stmt the previous code got deleted and new code is inserted.How to revert back the old code

Go to Version management and retrieve the older version. Make sure you do comparison between versions and make sure you retrieve the correct version.

Select the SAP note you have implemented and press CTRL + F2 or choose option deimplement SAP NOTE or RESET SAP NOTE Implementation.

I put my iPad into DFU mode without thinking much about it. I didn't realize I would lose everything. Is there a way to get everything back the way I used to have it before I tried recovering my iPad?

A couple of days ago my iPad died, so I plugged it in to charge. It went into a rebooting loop, and when I looked up how to fix this, I saw that I can put my iPad into DFU mode to fix certain things like this. I did, not thinking much about it because l had seen both of my parents get new phones and everything was slowly but surely on their phone the way it was on their old phones.
I thought that even though I agreed to the iPad being put back into factory settings, I thought I would be able to get everything back the way it used to be just by logging into iCloud when setting it up. I was wrong. This is a school iPad, so all of my notes are gone. The only things that were backed up were my photos. All the games, social media, etc. that I had downloaded prior were gone. Even my notes.
Is there a way I can get everything back to the way it used to be, or was agreeing to put the iPad back into factory settings the wrong thing to do? Was it a mistake to take it upon myself to fix my iPad in this restarting loop? I would really like to get everything back, especially my school notes.

The only way to get everything back is by restoring a backup. If you didn't have a backup, there is nothing that you can do to recover your lost documents and your notes. If you have a backup restore the backup in order to recover your data. Purchased apps can always be downloaded again as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought them with, but data can only be recovered from a backup or if you have copies of the documents and notes on a computer.

How to Revert back the changes from the new version to old version

Hi, I need to revert back the changes in one of the Objects in Intergration Directory. Which means, I need to de-activate the existing version, and have the old version activated again. Can you help me on the steps on doing this? Thank you.

If you have just saved urt object in IR / ID and not activated it, then u can simply go to the change list tab and right click on ur object and do " Reject changes".
if u have already activated the same, then u wud b required to open the object in IR/ ID.
Click on the history option and double click and open the same object version that u want and activate it.
