Revert from Revised, saved version to active version

Hi all,
I have a saved version of the workflow. I want to revert back to the active version.
Can this be done and how?
Regards,
Srikar

What version is this? If you have more versions you can go back to the active one in the workflow builder. If you have only one version, you couldn't go back.
You can select previous version on the left side of the builder, where you can find the version of the current one.

  • Revert to previous saved version

    Hello,
I started working with the demo version yesterday and actually got some nice looking things done. This morning I opened the project and all looked well. After getting working for about 1/2 an hour I got hopelessly balled up and decided to start over from where I left off yesterday. Trouble is I can't figure out how to get there! So can someone tell me how to do a "revert to saved" (in the old parlance) and while we're at it, is there some sort of "Save as" so we can create various versions of our projects?
    Thanks

    Hi Andy,
Thanks for your quick reply. So if what you write is the present state of FCX it's really a deal breaker. My situation is NOT that I made a mistake & then quit the program. It was simply that when I did quit everything was fine. All the editing that I did to that point (about 6 hours of work) was exactly the way I wanted it to look. However I was far from the end of the project. When I opened the file the next day, everything was still fine. What I probably should have done was to save everything to another location either just after quiting the previous day or just before opening it the next time. But think about that: A simple "save as" ability or an incremental save - duh, like in the old Final Cut Pro (& 17 million other programs) would avoid this kind of thing in the first place. Sometimes one doesn't have to reinvent how to boil an egg just because we're trying to market a new pot.
By the way I also am a fan of Super Duper & use it regularly to clone several of my drives for emergency use. But don't you think having to employ it for something like this is a little overkill? I'm in the habit of doing a "save as" at LEAST 1/2 a dozen times (and many times 2 or 3 times that figure with complicated projects) during a normal 8 - 12 hour day. What are we to do quit the program to move everything to a different location every time we need to preserve a state? Hey, we're talking about saving a bloody file!
I've been trying to be objective about the new FCX, but even with the recent update I'm finding it very difficult, & frequently impossible, to accomplish relatively simple tasks that were very easy in FCP-7. Since it isn't possible for a small fry like me to be heard by Apple I guess I'll just continue with FCP-7 for awhile & perhaps give the competition at Adobe a try when time permits.
Thanks again for the detailed reply.
    Ciao,
    Frank

What is the advantage of this feature over just using the History palette?

The biggest advantage is that is exists, while the History palette does not.

  • HOw do i revert to a previously saved version of a document?

How do i revert to a previously saved version of a document? I have no idea how, but i closed and saved a document and the whole thing when reopened was blank (all 26 pages) apart from the last 4 pages id just added b4 saving. How do i get it back? Matter of life or death as hand in is tomorrow. thanks

Have you backed up the document? For example, by using Time Machine. If you have then just need to restore the document from an earlier date (ie the latest date before 26 pages were deleted).
If you haven't backed up the document then you're in trouble. The File > Revert to Saved menu command only undoes changes you made since the last time you saved your document.  As you saved the document with the 26 pages missing, choosing Revert will not get the 26 pages back.

  • FAQ: How do I migrate my saved presets from an earlier version of Photoshop or import/export them?

You now have the option to migrate presets from a previous version, export presets and to save to a directory as a zip file (great for instructors).
Preset Migration migrates your saved presets, not your preferences. The message says "Would you like to migrate presets from the following versions?"  It simply carries on the preset files you have already saved (things like Brush Tips, HDR Toning presets, Curve presets, Styles etc.)  to CS6.
HOW TO USE PHOTOSHOP CS6 AUTOMATED PRESET MIGRATION
Photoshop CS6 offers the great new functionality of automated preset migration for your custom presets from Photoshop versions as far back as CS3.
When Photoshop CS6 launches for the first time, it checks for previous installations of Photoshop on the computer to see if there are custom presets that need to be migrated. Photoshop looks in each of these presets folders for your saved custom preset files that it can migrate.
Preset migration script copies all the files in user preset folders of older versions. If there are more than one preset files with the same name, presets from the newer version will be given priority. These types of presets will be migrated by the script:
3DLUTs, Actions, Black and White, Brushes, Channel Mixer, Color Books, Color Swatches, Contours, Curves, Custom Shapes, Deco, Duotones, Exposure, Flash 3D, Gradients, HDR Toning, Hue and Saturation, Levels, Lighting Effects, Lights, Materials, Meshes, Optimized Colors, Optimized Output Settings, Optimized Settings, Patterns, Render Settings, Repousse, Scripts, Styles, Tools, Video, Volumes, Widgets, Zoomify, and Workspaces
If this is not your first launch and you would like Photoshop to look for presets,
Choose Edit > Presets > Migrate Presets
When Photoshop notices that you have custom presets saved in their appropriate folders it will give the message "Would you like to migrate presets from the following versions?"
Choose Yes. Photoshop will begin the preset migration script.
When the migration has completed Photoshop will pop up another message saying:
"Preset files from older versions successfully migrated"
In order to use your newly migrated presets, you must restart Photoshop.
If you had Photoshop CS6 beta installed and have saved custom presets, you will need to export those presets before uninstalling the previous version and installing the release version of Photoshop CS6.
    HOW TO SAVE PRESETS
For PS, check that you have saved all your presets using:
Edit>Preset Manager... (in previous versions) Edit>Presets>Preset Manager... (in CS6)
HOW TO IMPORT AND EXPORT PRESETS
    In the main PS menu,
    Choose Edit > Presets > Export/Import Presets
In this dialog you can export the presets and then import them when you load the new version using the same Export/Import dialog.
If you have gone through the automated preset migration and notice that some of your presets didn't get migrated with the rest, make sure you have exported your presets to their default folders.
    PRESET FILE LOCATIONS:
(Note that there are two different folder locations for presets, one for application provided default presets, and one for user created preset files)
These are the presets that are unique to each user on the computer. These can be migrated automatically: (this is the location that the user should save their personal presets in)
    Windows:  Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
    Mac:  Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
These are the default presets that ship with Photoshop.  These presets can be imported but will not copy over using the migrate feature because each version of Photoshop will install defaults for that version.
    Windows 64 bit:
        [Hard Drive]:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Presets
    WindowsXP and Windows7 32 bit:
          [Hard Drive]:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Presets
    Mac:
        [Hard Drive]/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
    Frequently used preset filename extensions:
    ABR  Brush preset
    ACO  Swatch preset
    ASL  Style preset
    ATN  Action preset
    CSH  Custom Shape preset
    GRD  Gradient preset
    PAT  Pattern preset
    SHC  Contour preset
    Here is a helpful tutorial:
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-cs6/preset-migration-and-sharing/

Do you have an  iPhoto Library from the old machine? If you have then simply open it - there's no importing involved.
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
If you don't have an actual library there is no way to do what you want.

  • Can I revert back to old version of itunes from version 12

I use itunes version 12 and have a nano 7th generation.  I recently upgraded my itunes to version 12 and have to say I don't like it.  Can I revert back to earlier version and how do I know what version I used previously?
The main reason I would like to revert back is that I have encountered a problem that I never had previously with itunes.  Upon purchasing a song, when I try to copy it to my ipod I am getting the following error message :
"(song name) wasn't copied to ipod because it is only available in icloud".   Since when did I do that?
When I attempt to download from icloud I get the following error message "There was a problem downloading.  You do not have enough access privileges for this operation".
What can I do now ??  Can I revert back and will this sort the problem?
    Many thanks

The skin may never be made compatible.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

The Yahoo password in the mail setting on all my apple devices - iPad, iPhone 5, mini iPad - has permanently reverted to an old version.  I have tried all the suggestions provided by the community so far but nothing works. • ABAP Code in End Routine - reverts back to previous version

    Team:
Currently, we are in upgrading from 7.01 to 7.4. The new development environment is only used to built the new development work until the mirror image client is upgraded.
In one customised dataflow, we place some code and the transformation is activated. No issues at all, then the next day, the code reverts back a previous version. Consequently, we are losing the code. We already have a sign off of a piece of work and we checked the code again. We were puzzled as to why the code has gone back to a previous version.
SAP is asking to replicate the issue. Unfortunately, we cannot replicate accurately this issue. Now, we have two more developers reporting the same case. Yet again, the issue comes and goes. We reboot the server with some success. Then days later, the issue pops up with a developer. The Basis guys have not found anything related to this case.
    Any idea is welcome.

Sync to Date is currently the only option offered by the DTR.
You can only edit the active version of a resource in a workspace, because the DTR does not support branching within a workspace: There is no mechanism in place to merge an older version of a resource into the same workspace.
If you want to do this, you must make a copy of the workspace (a "maintenance" workspace) and make your changes in that workspace. You can integrate the related activity/activities into the "ongoing development" workspace afterwards, if you want to of course.
Why don't you want your bugfixes to be forwarded by the way? Those bugs are also in your enhancement tracks...

  • Problems with reverting to an earlier version

The update with Flash Player was causing problems, so I uninstalled Flash Player 11 and then installed Flash Player 10. But I now have Flash Player 10 Plugin and FlashPlayer 11 Active X on my computer. I am not sure how this happened, but is this OK or is this going to cause me more problems?
Have now just checked again in Control and it also says I now have Adobe 11 plug in. So I guess I am back to where I started.
I saw my original question but could not find out how to attach this question to it. Sorry.

    Dear Pat,
Thank you. I have received the exact same reply from Amreso.
I thank you both for your replies. If the problem occurs again, I shall follow your advice.
I just need to pluck up the courage. I get so nervous with the computer when it plays up.

  • Open Pages documents from an older version

I need to open Pages documents from an older version of Pages that I saved to an external drive from a computer that I no longer have access to.  My current operating system is 10.7.5 and I can't upgrade it right now.  I see that Pages 5.0 requires 10.10 or higher and I can't find older versions to download and from what I've read, it doesn't sound like I'd be able to open the old documents with the new version anyway.  I really need these documents. What can I do?

I found it helpful to convert all my old Pages '08 files to .doc files.  They can be opened by the new version of Pages.
Since the new version of Pages is no longer back compatible, and so not good for anything you want to keep for a long time, you might consider using an open source word processing application like Libra Office.  That's what I had to do.  After seven years of being a happy Pages user - archiving thousands of files in Pages -Apple has abandoned us.  I no longer think it is wise to use the new Pages and then five years down the road (or sooner) not to be able to open them in a newer version.
If you would like a quick way to convert your Pages '08 files to .doc, let me know.

  • How can I revert to a previous version of iTunes - v11.1.0.126 is terrible!

Hi there, I've seen this asked on these forums but haven't seen an answer... maybe there isn't one. I really need to revert back to an older version of iTunes from 11.1.0.126. The most recent version has so many problems (and no real improvement from the older version) that I've come to the conclusion rather than solving each of them one by one (and I've had no luck with any of that so far!), it would be easier to go back to the previous release. Is this possible?

Also, if I can do that without destroying my library and files, it would be great!!
