Revert to CS6

I have a copy of Flash CC, and was wondering if it's possible to download a copy of CS6. If so, how do I do that?

Flash CS6 is available on Creative Cloud.
1)Login to https://creative.adobe.com/products/flash using your Adobe ID.
2)You will find flash CC and Flash CS6 in the dropdown as show in the image below.
3) You can download either of the products. If you have a valid flash CC subsription, both products will be available to you.
You can also try downloading CS6 products from here:

  • Photoshop CC File Associations revert to CS6

Photoshop CC: PSD File Associations revert to CS6 in Finder>Get Info - Mac. File associations in Bridge manually updated and are working, but Finder still reverts to CS6 when changed in the Get Info window of a .psd file.

I was having this same issue and I fixed it but I'm not exactly sure what did it... I'm using Snow Leopard on a Mac and I have cs5, cs6 and CC installed. Initally after installing CC, I was able to associate files using the normal "open with" and "change all" dialog. However, after installing a Mac security update today, the "open with" reverted to CS6 and when trying to change all to open with Photoshop CC, it would just revert to CS6. Here's what I did today before I was able to change them all back to CC.
    1. Installed Photohop CC Update
    2. Restarted Computer
    3. Changed *one* file to open with CC and closed the dialog
    4. Installed PHotoshop CS6 Update
    5. Opened that "one file" (which still had open with Photoshop CC selected) and hit "change all"
Magic. Not sure what did it... but maybe if you repeat that process, it will work for you.

  • Photoshop CC consistently hangs during photomerge when trying to blend images. Had to revert to CS6 which works great. Bug in cc?

It doesn't matter how many photos I'm trying to merge...get the same problem. System just quits when it gets to the "blending" stage. Photoshop CS6 works fine, so must be a bug in cc.
I have a new Windows 7 system with plenty of memory and a 3tb hard disk. Any thoughts or work-arounds would be helpful.

The things some people use the term "bug" for …
You have not even mentioned the exact version of Photoshop you use, so even if it should be a bug it is impossible to ascertain whether it was a bug that has already been fixed in an update.

  • How do I revert to CS6 after trying the extended version and not buying.

I tried the CS6 extended version and decided not to buy it.  Now I cannot open my own registered CS6 software.  Clicking on the CS6 icon brings up the expired trial dialog box and unless I buy, it closes the software.  CS6 extended is not listed as a program that can be uninstalled.  Seems as though I've been hijacked!  I tried to find the answer by using the chat contact resource but they told me I needed to try the forums.

Does it show as activated under Help?
The only difference between Extended and Non-Extended is a serial number.  The actual software is the same.  I'd suggest simply reinstalling, but I'm guessing that you did not deactivate your original CS6 before switching the Extended Trial?
It might be that you will need to contact Customer support, and explain what has happened, and ask them to reset your Activations.  Wait a bit though, in case a better idea comes along.

  • Encore CS6 Dynamic Link

I think most of the people here will agree with me. I have noticed that since upgrading to CC I have had lots of timewasting work arounds to create a Blu Ray and DVD using Encore. In the past I used to create awesome quality Blu Rays and DVD from the same Encore Project dynamically linked to PrPro. But with CC the workaround is time consuming and I don't think the Blu Ray and DVD will be going away as predicted by Adobe. As a result of this I just can't wait to terminate my CC subscription at the end of my contract this year so I can revert to CS6.

For the record, I don't see any problem with dynamic link as long as it works. The "automatic" setting in Encore has worked fine for many people. There may have been slightly better quality options, but for many users, the quality was good. The problem has been that there have been increasing numbers of situations where it does not work correctly, including HD to SD that made it a bad workflow for almost all users.
The belief that it saves transcoding time seems so reasonable, it is hard to realize that it does not. The savings that may occur are in workflow that avoids bitrate calculation for longer projects.
Surkweza appears to be one of those who found workflows for SD and BD that worked. We don't hear from many.
And yes, its moot now, since there is no dynamic link CC to CS6. So the best CC users can do is to learn to create DVD/BD ready assets at the best quality their program length will allow.
But the bugs make the frustration of users like srukweza harder to resolve.

  • Urgent!  Adobe killed drag/dropping workflow in CC.  Help restore it!

I posted this first FR at the end of another thread, here.  Due to the importance of this issue, IMO, I'm giving this FR a new thread, plus adding as second version of the same FR.
My stance is simple.  Every change Adobe makes to Premiere Pro should be positive to most or all people.  If a change Adobe makes is negative for most or all people, then it must be removed.
Adobe did a negative change in CC, which brings about zero positive improvements (unless proven otherwise which has not been done yet).
In CC, drag-dropping clips no longer  = dropping what you're dragging!  If you only have a video track source patched, audio doesn't get dragged to the Timeline.  If you only have an audio track source patched, video doesn't get dragged to the Timeline.
This is contrary to the way it worked in CS6 (where it made sense): drag drop clip = same clip dropped, regardless of Timeline settings!
Please help fix this by sending the following FRs as your own or writing a FR of your own based on this new problem Adobe introduced in CC.  Thank you and God bless all those that care enough about Premiere to take action!
VERSION 1 (revert back to CS6)
    *******Enhancement / FMR*********
Brief title for your desired feature:
Drag/Dropping video with audio clip from Source Monitor or Project window to Timeline should include both video and audio... always!
How would you like the feature to work?
The way it did in Premiere Pro CS6:
    A. Video with audio dragged from Project window = video with audio dropped in Timeline
    B. Three drag/dropping options from Source monitor, regardless of Source Patch settings.  Drag/drop:
    1. Source Monitor Image = Video + Audio
    2. 'Drag Video Only' button = Video only
    3. 'Drag Audio Only' button = Audio only
In CC, these options no longer work properly depending on Source Patching.  This makes no sense, and provides zero benefits to the editor!
Why is this feature important to you?
Because intelligent workflows matter!  There's nothing intelligent or efficient about the Source Monitor's buttons working some times but not others, or drag/dropping a clip from the Project window only to find its audio doesn't appear in the Timeline.  When drag and dropping clips, Source Patching should determine default clip PLACEMENT, Not WHAT gets dragged to the Timeline!
VERSION 2 (give us a choice!)
    *******Enhancement / FMR*********
Brief title for your desired feature: Preferences window option to disable Source Patching's effect on drag/dropped clips.
How would you like the feature to work?
If Adobe can't/won't revert drag/dropping back to functional CS6 standards, whereby clip dragged = same content dropped regardless of Timeline settings, then please give us the option of turning off CC's new drag/dropping behavior through a new check box option in the Preferences Window: "Source patching affects Drag/dropping".
    Checked = CC behavior
    Unchecked = CS6 behavior
Why is this feature important to you?
Because respecting workflows matters!  CS6 and prior Premiere editors had their workflows disrespected when Adobe suddenly changed drag/dropping behavior with zero apparent benefits in return.  Please give us a choice in this matter or revert to CS6's intelligent drag-dropping altogether.

  • Is there an ETA for an InDesign CC performance fix?

I'm referencing the issues surrounding the massive app slowdown many are experiencing (well documented elsewhere on this forum) since upgrading to CC (and possibly related to Mavericks).
I'm not asking for tips/help (I've tried them all and have reverted to CS6 for now); I'm just hoping for a quick progress update from an Adobe rep or anyone that's heard from Adobe.
    Thanks,
    Joe

Confirming on behalf of Adobe that current ETA is January 15.

  • Add marker to clip in timeline

How do you add a marker to a clip in the timeline in Premiere Pro CC?

    jstrawn wrote:
You'll need to have the clip loaded in the source monitor in order to see its clip marker. You'll only see sequence markers directly in the sequence and/or program monitor.
You should see all the markers in the timeline (sequence) however. My previous post http://forums.adobe.com/message/6073832#6073832 shows multiple, "aligned" (using Adobe's definition of "aligned") clip markers on different clips. All of those markers were added by pressing M while the clip was selected.
I should add this though: I am pretty sure during my frustrating experience of using clip markers in the past two weeks that I have also had a clip refuse to mark. So the original poster may have encounterd he same bug that I also experienced - in which case nothing wrong is being done, and good luck resolving it - short of starting the project fresh and hoping not to trigger the software defect again.
Unlike the original poster I didn't delve into that issue deeper at the time because I was just trying to get the damn job done - which required 3 complete rebuilds of the project from scratch. 7.2.1 is FULL of software defects as far as I have witessed. I am reverting to CS6 until Adobe spends more time on careful development and testing  and less on "features" in their future releases.

  • How do i change file associations

I installed a beta version of photoshop CS6, but have now removed it. Whenever I try to open a .jpg file, it still tries to open it in CS6. I have been down the "Get Info" route and tried to use the 'Change all' method, but the files still revert to CS6. Any ideas??

I cannot speak for .htm files, but I had a similar problem with PDFs (having installed 2 viewers). I went into the native BB file manager and highlighted a PDF file and hit the Blackberry button - to the left of my touchpad - and there was an option for 'OPEN WITH >' Choosing the application there seemed to change my default. YMMV. (I have a OS 6 Bold 9650 on Verizon, )

  • Where are the paragraph style tools in Indesign CC2014?

Hi! I've just started using Id through Creative Cloud on a new computer (have been using CC CS6 for two years), and the installer gave me CC2014 rather than CS6. So this is a question only about CC2014.
Where has the paragraph styles window gone? Specifically, how can I edit, create and organise paragraph styles, and how can I get a window up on the main screen with all the styles laid out? All these things were easy to find in CS6, but I can't track them down in CC2014. The only thing I get (and that with a bit of customization). is a drop-down menu in the main toolbar, which allows me to choose from existing options on an existing document.
There is no Paragraph Styles option under Windows>Styles.
There is no Paragraph Styles option under Type.
The only Paragraph window which appears is designed for editing text as you go along, not for applying styles.
The Help options all point me back to the entry for CS6, and tell me to go to Type>Paragraph Styles (which doesn't exist).
I can't get a window up on the main screen to apply styles instantly from a list. I only get that dropdown menu, which has no further options.
Can anyone either point me to some up-to-date guidelines or explain where all the paragraph options have gone and how I can use them? Alternatively, can I revert to CS6? This was easy and intuitive before, and now it's neither...
    Thanks!

Yes, that did it. All the old menu options have reappeared. I don't know why they were hidden in the first place - these were things I never needed to set up on either of my previous computers.
    Thank you very much!

  • Photomerge Bug in recent updates?

Back again with same problem -
I have been successfully merging high res images for the last 6 months in PS CC. Before that I used Photoshop Elements 11.
After recent PS CC 14.2 updates I am getting various merge problems that I cannot resolve with the usual work arounds - reset preferences, restore defaults etc, different file types jpegs etc, and even complete re-install.
Yet when I turn to my copy of PSE 11 with the same images I have 100% quality merge!
My last attempt to resolve this issue was to revert to CS6 and alas same problem!
    Errors are -
    - "some images failed to align" merge then stopped!
    - when images do go through to merge they appear as a collage - for example, a three image merge tried several times, the merge each time appeared as 3 pictures poorly aligned with a poor colour match! Yet same images run in PSE 11 perfect resulting seamless merge!
My normal successful workflow up to now, was high res tiff files from scans of fine art pieces (720dpi 48 bit), plenty of overlap, good pre-alignment of images prior to merge. Number of images ranged from 2 to 7 per merge.
I am convinced both recent additions of CS6 and CC have introduced a serious bug into photomerge!
    Please help?

I have a similar problem. The same files that I merged a few months ago they don't merge properly as of few weeks ago.

  • Premiere CC to ProTools OMF/XML issues

XML and OMF audio timecode does not relink properly in external applications with my current Premiere CC / Mavericks configuration. Reverting to CS6 solves the issue described below...cannot say with certainty if previous CC versions solve the issue.
Exporting OMF's to our sound engineer do not relink properly in ProTools - I've tried every available method for OMF export (encapsulated, referenced, etc).
Exporting XMLs have a related issue - if an XML export is brought into another application (e.g. FCP 7) The audio region is correct but audio is not synced properly...it is pulling from incorrect timecode. This is externally recorded audio, recorded separately from source video. Video tracks are correctly synced.
I can get accurate XML's out of Audition. Reverting to CS6 via XML and exporting OMF from there is my current workaround.
    Mac OSX 10.9.2
    Premiere CC 7.2.2

    Hi Andy,
Sorry this isn't working for you.
Can you export a much simpler version of your sequence?
Can you try exporting only with mono tracks?
Are there any nested sequences in the sequences?
For file export, did you choose "encapsulate?"
Are all the clips the same sample rate?
Does the sample rate of the clips match sequence settings?
Audition should work. If you have changed any of the above, please try another export from Audition.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Adobe Premeire CC7 crashes on load

I just installed CC7 of PPro (twice) and it will not startup, just crashes.
I uninstalled all CS software, regretable, so I could try reinstalling without the legacy suite.
    AE CC7 loads.
    Orginally
I'm not getting a crash report and this is very annoying. How do I fix this or revert to CS6 which worked without fault.
NOW I'm getting "adobe premiere pro could not find any capable video play modules", the application was crashing before I updated the graphic drivers to V327.23 from 311 (or something, it was from Jan 13)
The crash is happening of "Loading ImporterQuickTime.prm", so I installed QuickTime, still crashing at the same spot

Hi, please go to the following location on your computer & check if there are any files in that location.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTComponents
If there is any file in that folder, then please move the files out of that folder & try launching Premiere Pro again.
Also if you get any error message regarding the display drivers, then please check if you have the latest drivers.
You can get the drivers for your card from the following webpage http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-327.23-whql-driver.html.
Perform a clean installation of the drivers & reboot the system.
Check if you are able to lauch the application.
