Revert to server issue on ical

Hi I keep receiving an error in iCal and noticed that it is locked to changes.  I have tried to do what the messages suggests to do but the problem persists!
Help!
Here is the message:
To discard your changes and continue using the version of your calendars that’s on the server, click Revert to Server.

Unfortunately, no - but I've narrowed the issue down. I've had to bite the bullet and buy Outlook for Mac to get things to work properly.  My company works on MS Office like a lot of others, and as far as I can tell the issue may stem from a difference in Time Zones.
So I'm on the East Coast, but the MS Exchange server is in the Central Time Zone.  The problem - iCal can't/won't push changes to existing appointments to the server.  It will push new appointments, and it will accept new appointments, but the moment a change occurs to an event it continuously nags you about the change and will not resolve itself.
If you come across any possible solutions, please share them on this string.  I'd love to stay in the Apple family rather than have Outlook constantly open to keep up on business.

  • Server issue with iCal/Google?

I have been having this issue for a while: I keep getting an error message as soon as I open iCal about not being able to connect to a server because of a password issue with my synced (from Google calendar) calendars.
Specifically, the pop up says: "The server did not recognize your user name or password for account ____", and then iCal immediately crashes.  This has been happening for months now, making iCal completely unuseable to me, but I need a calendar on my Mac!
    Help! Please?

Have you granted the IIS user read & execute access to the %ORACLE_HOME% directory and subdirectories?

  • Keep getting error message in ical and asks to go offline or revert to server.  help!!

Everytime I go into ical to make an entry it comes up with an error message then to choose 'go offline' or 'revert to server'.

I did try the suggestion of deleting ical icon on the desk top and then add a new one and so far it has worked!!!
    Hope it works for you!

  • My ical is constantly giving this error message: The server responded with "400" to operation CalDAVScheduleEventQueueableOperation.   Go Offline   Revert to Server . What does it mean? It´s driving me nuts.

I am syncing to Icloud. Iphone and Ipad works fine with this setup, but my Macbook Pro just doesn´t seem to get it. I have all latest updates. I can not detect any different response from the Mac weather I click <Go offline> or I click <Revert to server>, but the message comes up about 50 times a day(!).
Also - I seem to have a problem answering to some invitations (I invite myself from my work calendar (win Outlook). Shouldn´t I be able to answer them ?

I am having this problem too...and also I (most of the time) can't invite anyone on my google apps domain to a meeting. WEIRD! HELP!!! I just switched to Mac from PC...this was supposed to be EASY!
I get all kinds of error  messages...
    1) The request for “Test Appointment” in “[email protected]” in account “yyyy.com Google” failed.  The server responded with “400” to operation CalDAVScheduleEventQueueableOperation. *My google calendar *IS* updated despite the error, but the appointment is greyed out on my calendar.
    2)  The URL https://calendar.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user///calendar.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user/ encountered HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct. The URL *IS* correct.
Also, when I try to invite people to appointments, iCal adds random attendees and frequently will not add an attendee if they are in my domain. HELP.

  • ICal & Exchange -- "revert to server" over&over

This one is killing me. I've got an office of 20 Snow Leopard users accessing an Exchange 2007 server. Every now & then, a delegate with read-only access will get an error " The account can't be modified. To discard your changes and continue using the version of your calendars that's on the server, click Revert to Server. To save your changes on your computer until the problem is resolved. click Go Offline."
I've had them revert to server. I've deleted all their calendar info & started over. I've checked & unchecked Time Zone support. Nothing works. Help?

I sync 3 Macs. I have noticed that whenever moving or changing multiple events in iCal these errors or warnings (revert to server etc) pop up. What works for me when I get any of the errors is to go to the menu bar / Calendar drop down and select "Go Offline" then wait a moment, go back and select "Go Online". Works every time for me...
    * I have also have found that when I need to make more then a few changes to events in iCal, if I select "Go Offline" first, then make my changes, then "Go Online" everything works as expected WITHOUT ERRORS...

  • Error Msg. I am receiving an error message:   "Access to "DDRC-Computer Class" in "Birthdays" in account "iCloud" is not permitted. The server responded: "403" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation. Revert to server /Go offline.

I am receiving an error message:
"Access to “DDRC-Computer Class” in “Birthdays” in account “iCloud” is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    “403” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
    Revert to server /Go offline.
When I click  revert to server the screen goes back to the same error message.  When I click go off line the error message disappears, but none of my calendar appts. sync with my other devices.

We previously had a similar issue when migrating multiple accounts from MobileMe to iCloud.  The issue was resolved by disabling and then enabling iCal sync through iCloud on our iMacs in System Preferences.
Always backup your calendar before troubleshooting (File > Export > iCal Archive).
The following steps are roughly from a Apple Support Community discussion.
    Open iCloud in System Preferences.
Switch off (uncheck) iCal sync in iCloud System Preferences pane.
Backup iCal before doing this. You will need to remove calendar data.
Open iCal and verify the iCloud account is removed in the iCal preferences under accounts.
Close iCal, reopen System Preference and switch on (check) iCal sync in iCloud System Preferences pane.
Reopen iCal and verify the iCloud account is enabled in the iCal preferences under accounts.
At this point if the problem persists you might try completely signing out of iCloud and then signing back in. But remember to backup all related data (iCal, Contacts, Mail, Photostream, etc) before turning off iCloud sync!

  • "Go Offline" or "Revert to Server"

I keep getting a notice in iCal that begins with "Excuse me, iCal needs your attention" followed by a popup window with this message:
    The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
Two buttons are in the window: "Go offline" and "Revert to Server"
I have changed my password, rebooted, and repaired permissions, but it persists. It seems to be random and not specific to any particular network that I use. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Similar problem.  Every time I start iCal I get this error message:
“The server responded with an error.  The server did not recognise your user name or password for account “[email protected]”  Make sure you enter them correctly.”
How do I enter that information on the server?

  • Calendar keeps reverting to server and I don't use exchange. Any ideas???

This started yesterday as I was trying to delete an even from my calendar. I get a box that there's an error and I can "revert to server." I have seen people with issues involving exchange, but I am simply using my iCloud account. Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve deleting and redoing my entire calendar?

    Hi Kate ..
it wouldn't let me without verifying it with the old email that I can't check.
Try here >  Associating and verifying email addresses with your Apple ID
If you can't resolve the issue from that support link, post your topic in the iCloud - Mac community.

  • HT4859 After the i-cloud server issue Nov 26, 2012, I had to change some mail account settings to get my i-cloud mail to work again.  However, all of my received e-mails are gone.  How do I retrieve my e-mails from the server?

After the i-cloud server issue yesterday, November 26, 2012, my i-cloud mail account on my Macbook Pro stopped receiving mail.  I changed some mail account settings to fix the issue, and was able to start receiving e-mails.  However, all of my historical e-mails are gone.  How do I retrieve all of my old e-mails from the server?

What settings did you change, what were the changes, have you visited www.icloud.com to see what mail is actually there? and do you have a backup?

  • How to get rid of automatically created server accounts in iCal and Mail?

I have recently setup an OS X 10.6.2 Server for our small office. I got the domain name wrong in the initial install and fixed this by doing a complete clean reinstall of OS X 10.6 server (then upgrade to 10.6.2).
The problem is that one of the OS X 10.6.2 clients had been setup to talk to the server prior to the rebuild. Now on this client, I cannot work out how to get rid of or change the automatically created server accounts in iCal and Mail - everytime you login, these are recreated using the old domain name (and of course don't work).
In Mail if you remove the server account (from Accounts in Preferences), it just pops back again. I even removed every trace of the old domain name from the apple.com.mail.plist file but when I re-open Mail that darned server account (with the old domain name) just pops up again.
In iCal its slightly different in that you can remove the account and it stays away while you have iCal open. But as soon as you close and re-open it, that server account just pops up again!
I thought it might be something to do with Kerberos and found a Kerberos file on the client which had the old domain name throughout it - I changed all these references to the new domain name, but still the same behaviour in Mail and iCal.
This is doing my head in. Any ideas?

  • HP Connected server issues

My printer has been working well *. since I purchased it earlier this year. until about a week ago when I upgraded to the next level Instant Ink plan. Since then when I try to print the display on the printer shows a rotating circle with the word Printing. This remains for around 2 minutes, without printing anything, and then I get a message on the display that tells me that "The printer cannot connect to HP Connected". At the same time I get a pop up on my PC that "warns me" that the printer cannot connect to HP Connected and that this may cause my printer to stop printing. The terrible message concludes with the meaningless "OK" statement, having urged me to follow the printer's on screen display to make the connection.  When I try to follow the instructions on the printer it merely confirms that the printer is connected. I usually cancel out of the setup and then, as if by magic, whatever I tried to print suddenly starts printing.  So, my questions are?
    1) Is this a common or at least know problem?
    2) Is it caused by my having changed Instant Ink plans and if so what has HP done to cause this?
    3) I have not knowingly changed anything on my system other than the HP Instank Ink plan so why does the printer no longer connect to the HP Connected server to update that system with details of my print usage?
    4) Is there a fix/workaround that will prevent me from having to manually coax my printer to work again?
I have already used the HP Updates function and have reset/restarted both the wireless router and my PC.
    * I do occasionally get messages saying that the scan function isn't available because it's lost connectivity but this seems to rectify itself without having to do anything else.

When I receive an email request for a meeting, when I open it I get an error message asking if I want to revert to server, try again or ignore. If I choice revert to server it deletes the event, if I choice ignore it accepts it but won't sync with my other devices.

Interesting suggestion, but it's not clear to me how I would do that if I'm not using an "(at) icloud.com" email address/account. I am having the same problem with changed invitations that come from an organizer who is using Google Apps. My email account is hosted at my ISP - it's not obvious to me how I can use iCloud to access that email account (and therefore the changed invitation). Suggestions?

  • Sorry, we are having some temporary server issues. You can work off line if you plan to insert pictures from your computer

We have about 200 users that connect to three terminal servers. On the servers we have Office 2013 installed. Several users are stating that when they attempt to search for templates or insert Online Pictures, they are getting error messages of "Sorry,
we are having some temporary server issues. You can work off line if you plan to insert pictures from your computer"
Remember, they are connecting to a terminal server, all have roaming profiles, and for some users this works fine.
We've Googled the error message and found no help. A lot of responses was to reset the IE settings, which we've tried to no avail.
Also as a test, we took one of the users that was having the issue and deleted their profile. When they logged back on the server, the same problem occurred again.
We're currently at a loss as to why it works for some users and not others?
    Any ideas out there?

You can refer to this link and find the possible solution which is to delete the offending registry key:
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Internet\WebServiceCache\AllUsers\office15client.microsoft.com
    http://angrytechnician.wordpress.com/2013/05/15/office-2013-error-sorry-we-are-having-some-temporary-server-issues/
There we can also find information about deploying logon script to all roaming profile users to resolve this issue.

  • Help!Electronic noises,server issues,console messages,ethernet -PowerPC G4

I've been searching the internet as well as the Console and Activity Monitor for answers to this scenario, and it looks as though there is some kind of relationship between recent strange sounds I have been hearing over my speakers and server issues (my IP? Apple servers? spyware? )
Immediately below, are some of the log messages I have copied (for terminology examples).
Below them will be the description of the sounds I've been hearing, and potentially related details.
The first of the log examples documents something that happened when no one was home to use the computer. The second describes some kind of process that might be suspicious. The third describes what is happening a lot lately, and it seems to correspond with the sounds I referred to as well as with simultaneous increases in network activity shown on the Activity Monitor

I have recently been getting both a tapping and a buzzing sound through my speakers. Both kinds of sounds come together, intermittently and repeatedly, and each time, the volume rises, peaks, and fades away again (or stays faint until it starts to rise again). Today, once, there was a squeal-ish sound (not like a fax) as well, paralleling the other sound. These episodes vary in duration.
The Activity Monitor has shown increases in the Network window when these sounds have occurred, but I don't remember whether the greater increases were incoming or outgoing--I think, incoming.
When this first started happening, I was also seeing a lot of "Network Transition Occurred" messages in the log. Now I am seeing mostly "Macintosh mDNSResponder: Couldn't read user-specified Computer Name; using default "Macintosh-000000000000” (or “Macintosh-00112474A206)” instead" messages.
It all started happening after I uninstalled a trial version of ProtectMac (at the end of March), as well as set up a separate log-in for my grandson to use (major changes for the first time in years, which also caused me to lose a lot of things like bookmarks, saved music in iTunes, home movies in camera related software, pictures in iPhoto, etc...). Somewhere along the line I also lost iSync and just left it off.
Are these noises servers trying to communicate with my computer, which I somehow happen to be hearing as transmitted static/feedback/or signaling?
    I have a 1.42 GHz PowerPC G4. I use a DSL, ethernet.
    Thank you.

    Hello,
    Try these DNS numbers.
Try putting these numbers in Network/Advanced/DNS.
Add these numbers to DNS Servers
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
Click OK. These are safer/faster than most ISP's NDS numbers, and have been patched against DNS poisoning.
Go here to test DNS. https://www.dns-oarc.net/oarc/services/dnsentropy
