Reverting back to older iDVD

I've had nothing but problems with the new iDVD, involving the same multiplexing error that is referred to by many other posts in the topic named "Multiplexer error when burning from IDVD"
My question is: Can I remove only iDVD from iLife09 and revert back to an older version of iDVD? I used to run the 06 version, and never experienced the kind of pain I'm running into right now. I'd like to keep the other new parts of 09, since they seem to work (so far, at least.)

Suggestion only: Don't go backwards.

Lightroom reverted back to older version

I am using lightroom 2.7 and it hung up on me (as it does quiet often) and I had to close it use the end program command. when I reopened it, it looks like it has reverted to an older version of lightroom (I think 2.0)   it is showing me old catalogs that I have removed from my hard drive a year or so ago and none of my current catalogs are there.
   The start up screen looks different and the window that shows upon start up keeps popping up. I tried to open a current client that I had been working on and lightroom wants to re-import the files like they were never there. plus the entire program is not working properly.
any idea what has happend or how can I get back to the version I was using

I looked for the file you mentioned and found two of them
if you can't read the photo the files are named - Lightroom 2 catalog ircat .lock
I'm not clear about booting lightroom from the newer catalog? would it be this file?
if you can't read it it is called LIghtroom 2 catalog .ircat   and the file is 1.27 GB in size

Facetime reverted back to older version after Lion install.

I purchased Factime from App Store and after upgrading to Lion OS, it has been reverted back to Version 1.1. App store is asking me to purchase it back again to upgrade it to V 1.2. Does it mean for every bug fix and version upgrade i have to pay apple $1.03.

lol what are you talking about? The one with LION is 1.1 The one in the app store right now is 1.02 not 1.2
Anyway, you can always download the app again anytime as long as you purchased it once. (though the button said buy, but dont worry, they wont charge you again).
Though if you have Lion, it wont let you reverse back to the older version of 1.02 since you have 1.1

Raw fine tuning reverts back to older version

I've spent the last couple of days editing several hundred files, they were originally imported before AP2 was released, so would have been using RAW file tuning version 1.1.
However I selected each one individually Removed all adjustments, which automatically gives it the Version 2 Raw Fine Tuning.
Today when I review the edited files, they have all reverted back to Raw Fine Tuning 1.1, the adjustments are still there, however the Recovery and Black Point sliders are greyed out. I'm using the Nikon D2Xs, so I know Version 2 is compatible.
Any ideas as to how this happened would be most welcome, and how to resolve this without having to go through each file again individually.
As a side note, there are a few files which have retained the Version 2 decoding, I am suspecting that these are one's where I have manually selected the decode rather than automatically via Remove All Adjustments.

Definitely NOT, thank the deity-of-your-choice! That would mean that all your old images would change appearance, in some cases drastically. Given that what you see in Aperture are effectively 'virtual' images that don't exist as regular files until you export them this would be a mess-up of monumental proportions.
All RAW files adjusted using the old RAW 1.1 decoding continue to use 1.1 until you change them, either by 'manually' choosing a different version of the decoding engine in the RAW Fine Tuning adjustment brick or by going to File>Migrate Images...

On iMac running OS 10.6.7, tried ver 4 3x's and each time had to revert back to older version since can't import bookmarks, etc. Now I can't revert back to older version! Help!

Using iMac running OS 10.6.7. I've tried Beta ver 4 before (2x's) and each time I had to revert to older version since I was unable to import all my bookmarks, etc. after following all the right steps. I have them saved as HTML and json files. Neither works in ver 4 now. I am stuck. I've Googled fixes, but now need your help to resolve this incessant problem.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

My new format loads spread sheets, then will not let me access, reverting back to older format.

The new Numbers format will load and I enter data. All older items in the group revert to new format. The next time I use it, it states that I must upgrade to the new format to access the documents. The spreadsheets are not accessable. I am up to date with numbers and there are no updates available. How do I get a consistantly dependable working spreadsheet?

This "need to upgrade" message is confusing to a lot of people. When you downloaded the new version of Numbers the old version remained on your Mac. The new version is in Applications. The old version is in a subfolder within Applications. The icons look similar so it's easy to think you're trying to open a document with the new version whereas in fact the old version has been activated and is trying to open it.
If you tend to open documents from Finder then right-click and Open With ... Numbers.app (3.0).
Or you can open Numbers 3.0 (the one in the Applications folder, not the iWork '09 subfolder) and open the document from there.
Any icons you had on the Dock before the upgrade are of course still pointing to the old version.

Aperture Reverting Back to Older Versions

Hello.
I have a couple of heavily (time consuming) edited photos that Aperture is struggling with.
Sometimes when I view them Aperture is showing me them as they were around half way through the editing process, rather than the finished image.
A few times it has snapped out of it and gone back to the completed version, this time though it seems stuck.
Any ideas?

I updated to the latest version of Safari now I cannot log into certain websites like my online banking. Another reason I loved using this computer was autofill, now that does not work the same either, I have to respond twice to get my info to fill in. I fill out many forms in a day and this change has been so bad that I have downloaded Mozilla Firefox to use instead. I hope apple fixes these issues but until then how do I revert back to an older version of Safari?

Quit Safari.
Open Keychain Access /Applications/Utilities
Select Passwords on the left. Delete any keychains for sites you have problems logging into.
Relaunch Safari. Go to Safari / Preferences - Autofill. Make sure all three boxes are selected.
Now navigate to a site, login with your user name and password. You should be prompted to save that data to a new keychain. Click Yes.
If you still have problems, go to ~/Library/Cookies. Move the Cookies.plist file to the Trash.
~ (Tilde) represents your Home folder.
Try logging into a site again.

You can get closer to the old look with ctrl-b to turn on the menu bar and ctrl-s to turn on the sidebar, then select Artists from the selection of views across the top.
If you still want to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the installer fromhere, uninstall iTunes and suppporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

How do I revert back to an older version of an app

I have an old Gen2 iTouch with iOS 4.2.1 that I only use for music ans some basic time killer apps. Since none of the newest updated versins of the Facebook app will run on it I want to know how to revert back to an old running version. I do not want to go buy a new iTouch since this one works fine for what I use it for.
Any suggestions?

You need to delete the current versions of them from the iTunes library and import the older ones from another location on your computer or from your backups. If you don't have any copies of the older version, you can't.

I have installed iOS 4.2 and I want to revert back to the most recent version released to the public (3.2.1 i think????). How do I accomplish this?

As a registered developer, you should ask over at devforums.apple.com but it is unlikely you can go backwards.
