Reverting to a previous timeline?

Yesterday I installed Facebook's i-photo uploader - big mistake, don't do it!
The first time I used it to export pictures from iphoto (using their instructions) to an album on Facebook it worked fine. However when I went back to iphoto to export some more pictures to Facebook, all my pictures had disappeared and my library was empty!
The pictures are still on my (external) hard-drive, or course, so I've re-imported them (all 9000 of them!) into iphoto. However, now all my albums and folders are no longer in existence which is a major pain in the butt.
I've now removed the facebook uploader, but I'm wondering if there's a way to revert i-photo back to a previous timeline, like yesterday at 6pm? I really don't want to have to go back and re-organize all those pictures!

I don't think Leopard is the answer here. I just bought mine and I'm going to install it, but what you're seeing is different.
It seems your iPhoto is still finding the new library that you created (after importing the 9000 pics again). If your other library still exists, you do need to know where it is so you can point iPhoto to it. Double-clicking it will launch iPhoto but will still point to the new library. (that's a bit weird)
So locate your previous library, wherever it is
Then, option-launch iPhoto and click Choose
Navigate to that location in the choose dialog and click Choose or Open (can't recall which)
Here's the scoop. If your old library is damaged, you won't see any photos in it. I think iphoto may even warn you of the damage. One thing it won't do is open your new no-folders-or-albums library as a result of these steps. The only way you'll arrive at the result you just described, is if you pointed it to the new library you just created.

Someone nicked my Album Cover flow, without asking. I have snow leopard. I was happy. Just before Christmas as if I havent got enough to do Thank You. I even did a questionair to help them. They really care for their customers--right. So why couldnt they warn me about this update, its only polite.
If I bought a warm coat some years ago, then the manufatures came round without my knowledge and cut off the left arm, and later told me, their reserch says that people dont use the left arm so much so they have to get rid of it. 1. I think that would be illegal. 2. its impolite not to ask if they could do it. 3. why not give me an options to keep it, seeing as i bought it. 4. its ludicrous.
I trusted Apple-but then -they took my YouTube off my ipad. I cant update to newer software as I will lose some expensive programms (Im not made of money). I also have 2 oldish defunct but fully working laser printers (if they were compatible with new software).
Im not a techky-I just use the stuff, I do art and music and Cover Flow was equipement I used.

Is there a way of reverting back to previous firefox version

I use firefox extensively for development. I use firebug and dojo. It seems that the new version (Firefox 4) is far slower than the previous version and sometimes hangs completely. I believe this may be caused by Firebug doing a lot of work but it never used to happen. Also firebug doesn't quite seem to work as well with dojo script. Previously if you did a dojo.require to drag in a js script file then you could automatically see it through firebug. Now have to put files I want to debug with script tags. Is there a way of reverting back to previous firefox version?

No need to re-install plugins or extensions.
You can install them both but there are a few steps to take.
When you install the second version of Firefox use the custom installation option and choose a different location to install Firefox.
In order to use both versions, you need to create a new profile for the second version of Firefox (Firefox stores user data in the profile). Using the same profile with different versions can cause problems. Once you create a new profile you can copy certain data such as bookmarks and passwords between them. You can also use Firefox Sync to keep the profile synchronized. Finally, you will need to set up shortcuts to launch the correct profile for each version.

An alternative way of testing Firefox 4 is to install the portable version on your hard drive. It will use its own profile folder and not interfere with the other version of Firefox. You can get the portable version from http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable

• iMovie ill behaving - Trash the iMovie pref file - use to set things right
• in reg. to Photos - Did You change iPhoto Photo Library - Then iMovie get's lost as it peeks into iPhoto on start up to see where photos are stored. Set iPhoto back to first Photo Library (when iMovie is not running) then start iMovie.

Look in your Applications folder. If your system behaved as expected, you should have an iMovie 9.0 folder in your Applications folder. Apple moved the old version there as even they suspected the new versions was a train wreck.

Currently, we are in upgrading from 7.01 to 7.4. The new development environment is only used to built the new development work until the mirror image client is upgraded.
In one customised dataflow, we place some code and the transformation is activated. No issues at all, then the next day, the code reverts back a previous version. Consequently, we are losing the code. We already have a sign off of a piece of work and we checked the code again. We were puzzled as to why the code has gone back to a previous version.
SAP is asking to replicate the issue. Unfortunately, we cannot replicate accurately this issue. Now, we have two more developers reporting the same case. Yet again, the issue comes and goes. We reboot the server with some success. Then days later, the issue pops up with a developer. The Basis guys have not found anything related to this case.
Any idea is welcome.

Sync to Date is currently the only option offered by the DTR.
You can only edit the active version of a resource in a workspace, because the DTR does not support branching within a workspace: There is no mechanism in place to merge an older version of a resource into the same workspace.
If you want to do this, you must make a copy of the workspace (a "maintenance" workspace) and make your changes in that workspace. You can integrate the related activity/activities into the "ongoing development" workspace afterwards, if you want to of course.
Why don't you want your bugfixes to be forwarded by the way? Those bugs are also in your enhancement tracks...

With Firefox 7 my computer is slower to boot up and shut down. When typing the website I want in the address bar the old firefox took me straight to the site now it takes me to Google. Do you have Time Machine? Apple doesn't currently offer any of the iTunes versions between 10.7 and 11.4 for download (more's the pity!) so if you have a time machine backup from before 11.4 installed, that might be the best way to go. You'll just want to make sure to copy off all of the files you have changed since then, since restoring from Time Machine will erase them. I actually did this a month ago to get rid of Yosemite and iTunes 12... it took me back to iTunes 11.2 and I kind of want to stay there because that's the last stable iteration before they started forcing people to stream iTunes Extras instead of download them.

Also, you would never have to lose your warranty, you can reach out to our Regional Support Office and they can revert the software back (by you visiting an office, or mailing the phone in).

Is there a way to revert to the previous version of the podcast app?

I really hate the new podcast app version 1.2.1. There has to be a way to revert to the previous version. Don't know why Apple doesn't offer it's users the option of staying with the version that we prefer. We're asked to update without knowing if we'll like the new version. No trial period - just take a chance. I did, and I regret it. I will never click on an update again. I went from loving Apple to hating them overnight.
There must be a work-around somewhere. Please help if you can.

Thanks for the response. Not sure if it's backed up, and not sure how to locate if it is. I downloaded the update directly onto ipod touch - and when I re-synched apps from itunes library to try to install previous ver. it changed to the new podcast ver. 1.2.1. Several moths ago I reverted to an older v. of itunes library(10.0?) through a folder called "previous itunes libraries" in my itunes folder - but I don't remember what I did - someone instructed me. Any chance of that containing older podcast v?

All those users who have burned their fingers by the latest update to Illustrator 17.1, especially with respect to how the Reshape functionality works or how the Pencil tool behaves, there is a solution. In short, follow these steps:
1) Uninstall the application from your computer using the application’s uninstaller. If you are not aware of their location, uninstallers reside in the same folder as your application.

3) As soon as the application indicates it is “Updating”, click the “X” to cancel the process.
4) This leaves applications at the same version when Creative Cloud was first launched.
5) Go to the product updates site http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html and then install the version of the application that suits your needs.
Let's get back to our jobs with 17.0 for now till the time Adobe fixes the mess they created with some thoughtful update in the future!

I agree that the ability to move path segments freely, being able to apply Live corners to objects & on a per-corner basis (unlike the Round Corner effect) and being able to draw a straight line with the Pencil Tool (like Freehand) were always on the top of everyone's wish list for a very long time. No one is questioning that for sure. But the way it was implemented, detrimentally affecting (if I may say so) the way users would really like to work is something the griping is about. As rcraighead said, they have come at the expense of the working features.
Take the Reshape functionality. Photoshop introduced the "Constrain Path Dragging" functionality in CS6 whereby if this option is turned off - that is, path dragging is unconstrained, you get the same functionality as we presently see with the Reshape functionality in Illustrator 17.1 but if it is turned on, you get the same functionality as we were used to all along in Illustrator prior to 17.1. At least they gave the choice. But Illustrator simply abandoned the constrain path dragging functionality with the new Reshape feature in 17.1.
About the Live Corners functionality - how often does one need to apply corners to their artwork? Is it always, 100% of the time? You'd agree, No, not always. Maybe 5% (or is it 20%?). But the corner widgets are always shown when the Direct selection tool is selected. Already some users have asked 'how to hide the widget' and you've graciously answered. The point I'm making is if applying corners is not something which one does always or very rarely, why show those widgets always, by default? Obviously some smart-aleck will jump in to ridicule me & say 'hide it if you don't want to see it, it's just a click away, you fool.' or discoverability could be cited as one of the reasons but that's not the point. The other day I was doing some freeform drawing with the Pencil Tool & obviously did not need corners on those paths but on selecting the ds tool, all those widgets showed up and it was not a pretty sight.
