Review mode crashes

I have a problem with a client`s PC (Windows7 64bit). If he goes to review mode and wants to give a picture one or more stars by pressing a number, review mode closes and he`s back to filmstrip mode. And he can`t go back to review mode, because the menue is grayed out then. Restarting the PC helps, but not for long.

No longer able to open Illustrator files when in Review mode in Bridge.
This used to work in CS5.
Control click the focused image (at front). Near the bottom of the contextual menu select 'Open' and nothing happens.
    Anyone else having this problem?
Note: Files can be opened from the regular grid mode in the Content Panel.
Preference File Type Association is correct ai=Illustrator CS6

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened. The Ask toolbar can be installed as part of Foxit.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
    * Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
    * Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

  • Pressing 'O' in mini bridge review mode doesn't open file in Photoshop

New Photoshop user here and going through the basics.
When using Review Mode in mini bridge I can cycle through the images using left/right arrows and open the image in front in Camera Raw using the 'R' key, but pressing the 'O' key does not open the file in Photoshop as I understood it was supposed to. Am I missing something obvious?  Pressing the 'O' key does nothing at all.
    Using Photoshop CS6.
    Thanks for any tips!

    Gene,
Unfortunately this did not do the trick.
I've got the exact same issue on two systems, both Windows 7 based with fresh installs of CS6 and Lightroom 4.
Spent a good 45 minutes on the phone with Adobe support and they are scratching their heads as well.  For now looks like using review mode in mini bridge would be a great way to open up files you want to work on, but in reality it doesn't work.  The tech I've dealt with at Adobe is having the exact same issue as well.
    Not quite ready for primetime...

  • Adding stars in Review mode Bridge CS4

    Hi,
Although I can right click to add star rating in review mode, I can't do it using the space under the picture on the screen, it shows the 5 dots but you can't add stars by clicking on them.
Kinda makes the whole review mode pointless if you can't rate quickly as you work through the photos.
    Any help?
    Thanks

Another huge issue which more or less kills this albeit beautiful way of sorting through photos, it always starts at the beginning of the folder! How useless is that? When I come home from with 1000+ images I don't want to have to start from scratch every time I come back from pouring a drink. I often edit on the plane and not being able to immediately start where I left off is a feature killer for me. Hate, hate, hate.

  • CS5 Bridge - zoom in review mode

This is what I would like to do in Bridge:  In review mode with 2 photos side by side be able to match zoom.  Is there any way to do this or is the magnifiying loupe the only option?  If the the loupe is the only option how can I request Adobe look into this?  It sure would be handy if you could match zoom and pan around to compare two similar photos.

no, Im afraid this is not the case...
Ive seen it work perfectly on my home Dell laptop,
but my desktop at work has some issues I ve already described above.
This must be some picture rendering / memory issue... perhaps Windows 7
fault. I use Vista 64 on the laptop, everything works perfectly fine there.
I dont know, im really tired with trying to solve this out.
Pains though, since review mode is extremly efficient in fast image
sorting. Oh well.... guess I need to pass on this one, since Im clearly
the only one with the issue. Perhaps future system wipe will solve it,
when the maintance time will come. Its up to IT guys now I guess.
Curt, thank you very much for your tireless commitment to solve this one

A read on the web some of the features of CS4.  In one screen shot they showed a carosel of pictures much like you have on your screen shot.  The "dimmed out" thumbs were in the background, and clicking on them would bring them to the foreground as a primary image.

Perhaps you are seeing something similar with the jpeg images that are not fully rendered.  They are just in the background and that is how the review mode works?  Just a thought.

  • Is it possible to add keywords on review mode?

I was wondering if it is possible to add a predefined keyword on selected photos in Review Mode in Bridge CC. This will definetely make my photo library quickly organized.

No, you can only use the rate and label option in review mode. Once you have rated or labeled the files you can easily select all of them in the content panel and then use the keyword panel to press on a predefined keyword from your keyword list ( or more if needed). They are all aplied to the selected files in one go.

  • Buttons in Quiz mode and Review mode

In Cp5.5, is there any method to achieve this: when in Quiz mode, don't allow (or don't show) the Back and Skip buttons. In Review mode, allow (show) them.
Additionally, is it possible to only prevent jumping straight into Review mode on the first quiz slide, after clicking Back button. If the Back button is present and if the user (maybe mistakenly) clicks it, the test is over. He is in Review mode now and the Submit button is gone forever.

The skip button can be dragged under the Clear button, that will disappear automatically during Preview. But for the Back button I have no solution, mostly I will not show the back button during a Quiz.

  • In Review Mode

Is there a variable in Captivate 5 that can be used when someone has already passed a course, and the record has been captured in the Adobe Connect Database? When a user accesses such a course, it says at the top In Review Mode.  I'm wondering if I can call a variable to make a certain action happen if a user accesses the course in review mode.

  • Unintentionally entering Quiz Review Mode

    Hi all.
I'm using Captivate CS5.0 as part of elearning suite 2.
I am outputting to a scorm compliant, AS3, Flash 10 file.
I am designing a module in which we have learning content (a narrated powerpoint), interspersed knowledge checks (not graded), and an end of lesson quiz (graded). The problem is that when one re-enters a question more than once, the question enters review mode.
This is a little difficult to describe, so I'm going to walk through of the flow of events:
    1) User enters question and then leaves question, either by getting it right or wrong.
    2) User navigates to a point before the question
    3) User takes the question again (doesn't matter if they get it right or wrong)
    4) User navigates to a point before the question and attempts to retake it again and it enters review mode:
I would prefer it if the users could take the question as many times as they want without entering review mode. I'd be happy to disable review mode completely, or to keep it in, but only enter review mode if my participants click the button on the very last slide.
Any recommendations, suggestions, what have you, would be appreciated!

You've tripped over the Quiz Scope issue.  This has been explained many times on this forum.  If your user enters Quiz Scope (starting at the first scored object) and then leaves it again, the quiz is frozen and they get Review Mode.
The solution: Just place a scored button on the first or second slide of your project to extend the quiz scope.

  • Bridge selectively ignores JPGs in Review Mode

    hello.
    I have this issue :
    http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6060/60232032.jpg
and after restarting the review mode:
    http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/1466/37671094.jpg
as you can see, Bridge selectively denies to render jpg images in review mode.
This happens in various catalogues, with photos made with different cameras, I really see no pattern here.
If I press Escape, return to main view and then again go into Review Mode, Bridge refreshes the missing photos and renders them correctly HOWEVER he then picks up a new set of images from the same folder, he chooses to ignore. The very same pictures he displayed normaly the first time.
    any ideas?

  • Photosmart M525 Camera will only boot in "Review" mode. Can'ttake pictures

Problem started today.  I had to remove the SD card to transfer photos to my laptop since I left the cord at home.  When I restarted the camera, it will only start in "Review" mode.  The lens does not extend from the body, and I have been unsuccessful in getting the camera to do anything except review pictures and vids taken with it.  I also noticed that when you go into the setup menu, every time you go to the time and date option, the camera turns itself off.  Any suggestions for me to try?  I switched out to new batteries, removed the sd card again and made sure the contacts were clean, etc. Thanks for any help.  Roy

Remove all your hard drives and follow my advice in the post above, you'll have some shopping to do most likely.
If you can't boot with the system stripped down, and a hard drive doesn't have to be present, come back and look at it again.
In the meantime, try that, and while at it, try Apple Hardware Test too.
We are not mind readers, but a good backup and system maintenance plan, and test your backup and maintenance - make sure you and your backup can be used to restore your system.
Yes, you need to install or CLONE your drive to another drive.
You should NOT use a drive that won't boot normally, that has possible trouble with software drivers, programs, extensions, or other elements. Pick up Alsoft Disk Warrior. Use 10.5 DVD (it is not an upgrade, it is a full install DVD). Disk Utility => RESTORE and you can clone, or use SuperDuper or CCC.
In 4 yrs most people upgrade hardware, more/new RAM, video card, PCIe cards...

  • How do I disable review mode for open assessments in Adobe Connect?

I'm running a curriculum to over 400 learners in a call centre.
All learners are already enrolled in the curriculum.
The curriculum has a future end date.
Learners are told by their managers when they are able to access the curriculum.
Learners are accessing the curriculum in small groups.
Learners are allowed one attempt at the assessment.
We are finding that learners are accessing the assessment again - purly because the can do so in review mode - and assuming that this is a second attempt.
Is there a way to disable the review mode for assessments only in Adobe Connect?

A solution was given a few years ago, but it involves editing the HTML file used to launch the assessment. The explanation can be found here: http://www.connectusers.com/forums/post/14012/#p14012

  • Firefox crashes after upgrade and wont start in safe mode crash report is Crash ID: bp-4a1fc5e6-6afb-4c5b-9e4e-47ad12130514

I cannot open FF after an upgrade. The first time I tried to upgrade I had to cancel the upgrade before it had finished as I was called away. The second atttempt went to completion OK with no error reports. However, I cannot start FF. I can't try safe mode as if I try to open while holding shift key down the screen asking if I want to open in safe mode flashes by very quickly and goes straight to the crash screen. Ive tried deleting FF and reinstalling (without deleting profile) but same thing happens. I dont want to try deleting including profile as I dont want to lose my history and saved passwords.

Thanks for extremely fast reply. That makes sense as I downgraded to FF16 about a month ago as I was having problems with FF20. That was about the time my company took on the Websense security. FF16 has worked fine so do you think it will work if I go back to FF16? I would have to approach Websence via my company's IT support and they would probably say I shouldn't be using FF anyway!

  • Windows 8.1 and Desktop IE11 | Youtube fullscreen mode crashing on Flashplayer

    Hello
I have problem with flashplayer on desktop IE11. When i try to toogle between normal size mode video on youtube to fullscreen my IE11 crash on flashplayer problem.
I have flashplayer add-on enabled and ActiveX filtering too.  And even your website wrote me that i dont have instaled flashplayer on my system or in browser (tried from desktop IE).  I tried download solution for windows 8.1 on your website but it doesnt work cuz its only system update and i already have it. And others doesnt work too cuz i have integrated flashplayer for Metro IE in my system from updates.
I want to use my desktop IE instead of metro IE. Can you help me pls? In metro IE it works normaly.

Well, if you're an IT guy, then you should know..
IE is a Microsoft product - Adobe can't fix it. Only Redmond can, and they've given NO indication that they're in a hurry to do anything about IE11, which has caused widespread problems with Yahoo, Facebook, BBC, CBC, ESPN, NBA and NFL websites to name just a few.
IE is the ONLY browser left on earth using ActiveX controls (circa 1993) which EVERYONE else abandoned twelve years ago - they cause more problems than they solve - Adobe can't fix that.
Microsoft modifies and embeds the Flash Player plugin for IE in Windows 8 and 8.1. Adobe writes the base code and does collaborate with Redmond on updates and fixes, but the Win 8 plugin for ActiveX is Microsoft's baby once it goes into the browser. If they screw it up, it's gonna be their fix.
Most of the web will be using HTML5 for video by the end of 2016. YouTube has already converted the majority of exisiting pages, and the code's already in place for new uploads, to automatically determine if Flash is installed and switch to HTML5 if it isn't detected. DailyMotion and Yahoo are doing the same, but not as fast or far along as Google. With the majority of web user on smartphones, Flash will see less and less use as time goes by. Adobe is aware of this. Knowing that aside from games, Flash will be almost non-existent in two years, just how eager do you think they are to develop new and better versions of it? They've dropped Linux development except for security fixes. Android dropped support last year, and Adobe ended security developments for Android Flash Player in September.
