Review Ratings Bug in the App Store

Did anyone notice that one can no longer rate an app review as "helpful" on desktop iTunes App Store? I mean, the links for Yes and No are still there for each app review, but they stopped working like a week ago. Clicking does nothing. It used to say: "thank you" or someting when you said a review helped you. Anyone know anything?

I hope you are right and Apple is working on a much better rating system that is fair for both the consumer and developer... there has got to be a better way,    i read 10 postiive reviews all about the same, not saying much, all obviously by the app maker/friends...
i've also noticed that the real buyers rarely ever EVER review an app (or even rate it) unless you POed them,   or thier wireless is down, so they blame your app....   or it is a competitor just trying to lower your rating...
it is a real mess...    and it starts with the whole search experience,   developers shouldn't have to buy advertising,   Apple should have a system of categories where people seach through categories 6-8 levels deep before they can search for an individual app...     and then make money on Apple's own (fair to devleoper) advertizing system as part of the whole search experience...
far be it for me to say: hey Apple... stick your thumb in Goog'e's eye and create your own advertizing of the apps in such away that people trust the advertising...
(and at the bottom of the levels of search, randomize each search of the 10 to 50 or so apps in each final category, how is that not fair?, and display them all on the same page on mac, and 5 pages, (random each time) on ipad/iphone) with advertising on a side bar that doesn't cost $3000 to $5000 to $10,000 to $20,000
wipe out 650,000 reasons people would advertize with google instead in some way...

You just write down the name of the app or for what the app is used for (eg, write down Notes and then will appear a lot of options), then download what you wish.

I'm having trouble posting reviews or rating in the app store. Is there a problem right now?

I recently developed an application called NutriHOLIC and my customers are having problems submitting ratings and reviews. Additionally, when I tried to rate/review a different app in the store, upon pressing submit it returns back to the screen without a comment or rating. I tried pressing submit again and found my message was still there awaiting to be submitted. I did this 3-4 times and nothing different happend. Can someone shed some light on the subject, I really need my ratings and reviews to post from my customers. Is the app store having problems? I noticed iTunes Connect is not showing a proper displays as well.

Reviews disappeared, and is the App Store Dysfunctional?

I have provided two ratings and review/comments for a particular app over the last 7 days. Both have disappeared. I have also provided other reviews and ratings for other apps. None are showing up under my ratings in iTunes.
Are other people's reviews and ratings disappearing or not showing up?
Am I violating a policy that is causing the reviews to be removed, or should I be looking into a problem with my profile? Is this a known problem with the App store?

Why do my reviews never appear in the App Store?

I have submitted several reviews of apps that I have used, each time writing them on my iPad from within the App Store. I finish them, click "submit," and then even weeks later, they have never appeared. I notice other reviewers have actually edited their old reviews; where are they going to find those reviews that will allow them to edit them? Is there a web interface or somewhere within iTunes (on the desktop) that I should be looking? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the same problem, i never see my own reviews on different apps, but we can edit it anytime with the same process as we write new review. For editing click on the app and click on review and if you have already posted a review then it will show the old review and you can edit it anytime, or if you are going to post review for the first time then it will allow you to post new review. For posting reviews you need to own that app first.

Is there a bug affecting the app store in Mountain Lion?

I upgraded yesterday to OS 10.8.2. The app store is unreachable because I don't have an internet connection, according to the app store panel; but internet is working fine for mail and browser.
When I select "software update" in the apple menu, the app store panel pops up.

The problem is one or more defective Verisign trust certificates. I had to change one only. You need to follow the instructions exactly.
I found a link in an answer to the same question in relation to Lion. It is strange that Apple has not fixed this.

Why does Pages 5 want to download again in the App store?

Pages 5, Keynote 6 and Numbers 3 keep showing up in the App store as new downloads. I have downloaded them five times, but the reappear as new downloads. Is this a bug in the App store?

Do you have another partition or an external drive mounted that has older versions of these apps?

Hey everyone..
    I've been having trouble for at least a year now where whatever Review I write does not show up anywhere. I have done a lot of research on this subject prior to opening this Thread here, and have obvioudly not found anything on the subject.
I am aware as I read somewhere that for a review to display, the app needs to have at least 5 reviews, (which I also find obscure). We are talking about apps that have loads of reviews already posted.
It's needless to say HOW annoying it is to spare PRECIOUS time to review an app, (whether for positive, negative, neutral), and find out that it just went to waste. I never had this problem till about 1 year ago, where I noticed that no matter where I wrote a review, (from my macbook, within the store, from my iPad mini, from my ipod touch), it just NEVER showed up even after days or even weeks when I checked back.
Before I start wrting the review it asks for my Apple store password, (so far so good), after I'm done with the rating and Review, I press submit and .....nada....I don't get a confirmation or something that will say it's under Review from the App store. When I try to repeat the process, get out of the app I'm trying to review, and go back to write my Review, what I wrote is just simply sitting there, together with my Rating as if nothing happened.
I am aware that others have written before about this issue to no avail, now can SOMEONE please put an end to this MADNESS and answer one and for ALL the very, lately, disappointed, Apple fans that keep accumulating....? Can Apple give us an OFFICIAL explanation/solution to this very annoying issue? Or does it prefer to conveniently leave it as is for some "obscure" reason...?

Ok everyone...
So, after going through a hundred steps to manage and contact Apple Support via e mail, I sent them an e mail and got a reply saying that they will get in touch with me within 48hrs. Today, (24hrs), I received a reply telling me that they understand my frustration and has been an "on going issue". He wanted alse to verify what my nickname was for my the Reviews I had given.
   After revisiting for the millionth time my iTunes store Account, to go to settings, and manage Reviews, (which is what I always did to check and see if they show up), to find out if my nickname had changed for some reason, I pressed on some older reviews, (like from 2010, which I remember had shown up), to check out my nickname.
I verified my nickname being the same as I remember. The 2nd app I checked which I knew I had reviewed, but from last year, was not showing. So, it dawned on me to press the “All Versions” options on the reviewing section of the app…and…voila….there it was. So, I took it further and looked at other even more recent reviews I had written and I also found out that they showed under the “All Versions” option.
   Then I checked my last 3-4 that I did within the last few months that I knew did not show up and the apps also had no Upgrades that I knew of. Then, I discovered the sorting options , (on the right side), for showing Reviews. It seems like that it automatically sorts them out by “Most Helpful”, (which is odd), so I chose “Most Recent”…and….voila again, my review was beautifully sitting there with my nickname and everything…I couldn’t believe it.
Now I’m going to try and find if there is a way to have the “Most Recent” always as default…is there…? But it makes me wonder if all of you guys have the same problem and if the solution is indeed the same, (sorting out by most Recent or whatever other option will make your review show up). Give it a try and see how it works out for you. Please take the time to post your findings here. It would be helpful for everyone else as well. I wonder why Apple has not picked up on this?

I have the same problem with another TeamLava app, Fashion Story.

I have submitted build by xcode 6.1 but in itunes account shows us Apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5.1.1 or later, and iOS 7 or later SDK after clicking the submit for review.

You have used Xcode 6.1 and it is a valid version, so you should not have any problem. Anyway, if there is any problem, Apple will contact with you to fix it before your app is published.

You want to write a review about Mountain Lion? I'm not sure that you can write about the OS at the app store - it's not an app. Or are you talking about the online Apple store? If you want to send feedback to Apple, you could use this:

Why can't I see full reviews in the App Store? Every review that is longer than 6 lines has three dots, indicating more, but nowhere to click to see the rest of the review.

Thank you. I only saw the word "More" on one review of one app that I looked at, and I knew to click on that. But many reviews of several apps had three dots at the end of the sixth line without the word "More". And it was obvious there was more written because it was, for example, left in the middle of a sentence.

Use Internet Recovery. You shouldn't need an AppleID. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4718
Internet Recovery will install the OS that shipped with the Mac. You can then upgrade to Mavericks if that was not it.
Do you have an App Store account? Did you ever use it to install the OS?

Why isn't my review appearing in the App Store?

I've been trying to write (and re-submit, wondering if something went wrong in the process several times) a (scathing) review for Ulysses III for the past few weeks, and while I see new reviews appearing for the app and I'm able to submit (and edit) my reviews for other apps, it isn't working for this particular app. In fact, I was quite frustrated the first few times as I first ran into this problem while trying to edit a review that I wrote for it that I thought was properly posted only to be greeted with completely blank text boxes upon clicking "Write A Review." (Because of this, I've started the habit of copying/saving the reviews I write for apps. Very frustrating.)
Why isn't this working? I spent $45 on this app that does not handle large documents well and would like others to know that very badly so they don't do the same if they plan on writing manuscripts—which is, as I learned tonight (and thus was reminded about this whole thing), what this particular app is being advertised for in the App Store.
Please help.

Frequent problems when trying to leave a review in the App Store

Why does the App Store repeatedly ask for my password, not letting me leave a review for an app? It's very frustrating. The app asks me to leave a review, but I can't write one because I'm in an annoying circular pattern of being asked for my password, I enter it and it repeats. There's never a problem with my password when I'm purchasing something!

It seems to me that your nickname from the iTunes Store on a computer does not necessarily carry over to the App Store on the iPad.
So I suggest simply re-entering your nickname. Surely there is no harm in doing that.
