Revision level in cFolder Documents
Hi All,
We are exporting the documents from R3 system to cFolder. We are using revision level for DIR in R3 side.
Now while exporting the documents with this document type, we want to capture revision level attribute on document in cFolder.
Does standard fucntionality support this or do we need to go for Enhancement?
Any thoughts are welcome.
Thanks

How can i attach a document to a specific material revision level ?
Dear guru.
I manage a material with revision level.
I need to attach a specific document , created using DMS , for every revision level of this material.
How can I do that ?
Thanks.Hi Cris,
This cannot be achieved through std process.
Alternate way is, As soon as you create material with different revisions better to create document with material no as document no with different versions.
In SPRO->Document Management->Define document types->Define Object links,for object MARA set document version as 1:Default:current version ,so that whenever you view material in MM02/MM03 of different version you can see document with current version only.

What are the Uses of Revision Level
Dear All,
I have been searching for articles pertaining to "Revision Level" in the Material Master Record and found out that revision level is used purposely in Engineering Change Management and Document Management System. Is this true?
I want to know if activating revision level can purposely be used also in tracking MRP Tab Changes in material master record. There are some cases that user change MRP Type and reorder levels (minimum/maximum) in the material master record and i want to record this changes and who made this changes. Can this revision level help me on this purpose?
Can anybody please enlighten me on this revision level usage?
Thank you.

Hi All,
1) I have created a PR with 2 items in the R/3 Backend using the me51n transaction in which for one of the items i have updated the Revision Level field.
2) To transfer the purchase requisitions created in the above step to the SRM system(sourcing cockpit) i executed the report BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER with transaction SE38.
3) Now when i go to the SRM portal and navigate to find the external requirement in the sourcing cockpit, I am not able to find the Revision Level field entered in the backend.
Can some one help.

Updating Revision level in purchase contract
Hi All,
I want to update the Revision level field (EKPO-REVLV) in a Purchase contract. The BAPI_CONTRACT_CHANGE is not updating the field. Please suggest me some options to update the same.
Thanks in Advance.
Senthil JHi Senthil,
Have you seen the documentation of this bapi .Please check
Notes
Master conditions
When creating outline agreements, you can specify only one period per variable key. This means that just one period can be specified for the document header (i.e. condition table A019). The same applies to each item (i.e. condition table A016) and to each item/plant combination (i.e. condition table A068).
You can use any periods. However they must not overlap for a variable key.
When conditions are changed, new condition records are nevertheless written.
Because volume rebate conditions are not taken into account in outline agreements, they are not processed.
No subitems (e.g. inclusive/exclusive bonus quantities, display, etc.) are taken into account.
The control key for quality management in procurement (EKPO-SSQSS) and the certificate category (EKPO-ZGTYP) are only taken into account to a certain extent. These two items of information are copied from the reference contract or material master, but cannot be changed; neither are any checks carried out for these two fields.
The revision level (EKPO-REVLV) cannot be changed because various quality management routines were not implemented.
Version management (Document Change Management) is not supported.
External services (planned or unplanned) are not supported.
The creation or changing of configurations is not supported.
Post if need help here.

Hi All,
I want to use revision level.I have activated the revision level and maintain series from A to Z.
i have created change no. With ref to change no. when I am changing the BOM item , it assigns revision level "A".
Then next time i am changing the BOM with different change no. , it assigns revision level as " B".
Do I need to change BOM with diff change no.
And from where can I get report what changes I have done along with revision level?
AmitDear Amit,
As per my understanding what you have said is correct regarding revision level assignment with different change number.
For reports check these,
S_ALR_87012977 BOM Changes for a Change Number
S_ALR_87012979 ECH: Change Number Overview
S_ALR_87012987 Documents for Change Number

Experts,
The current Revision Level for a material is F and a user created another revision level G by error.
Now the revision should go back to F and the system will not allow this.
Is there anyway this can be done? I will appreciate a feedback.
Thanks in advance.Hi Anirudh Kodgule and Ravindra Shirase,
The Change master was created in CC01 and the object types selected are
BOM
Task List
Document
Material
The change master number is 300000530
This was then assigned to a material via MM02 in basic data 1 and the revision level was F.
The initial revision level was E and we needed to return back to E because the Rev level of F
is not yet reached for the material.
Ravindra, could you please explain more your suggestion
Anirudth, I am not sure the document type to enter at the initial screen
THanks for your anticipated replies -
Infoset query of vendor payments at the cost distribution level of the document
We would like an infoset query of vendor payments at the cost distribution level of the document. The issue seems to be joining vendor to the document cost distribution lines.
1.) BSAK + BSIK can be combined with an infoset data structure but only contain the vendor line of a document; the cost distribution lines are not in the tables.
2.) BSIS + BSAS can be combined with an infoset data structure but lack vendor data and joins (to a vendor source) are not an option with data structures. Vendor data added with an additional field is too slow to be a primary selection field.
3.) Logical data base KDF in an infoset returns only the vendor line of a document, not the cost distribution lines.
4.) Logical data base BRM in an infoset can have vendor from BSAK/BSIK attached by an additional field but performance is too slow to be useful. Joins are not an option in a logical data base infoset.
5.) Complete data is lacking when table joins between document cost distribution tables and vendor data tables are possible, (SPL actual line item table & BSIP or FMIFIHD & FMIFIIT). BSIP lacks AB documents (reversals). FM tables lack general ledger only documents.
6.) BSAK and BSIK together have complete vendor data but joins of both to a basis table are not an option. Left outer joins are too slow, inner joins won’t work since the tables have mutually exclusive data.
Does anyone know of any other options?Hi,

XSQL file "Invalid at the top level of the document"
I am trying to insert HTML form parameters into database using <xsql:insert-request>. It worked fine except that it displays <xsql-status action="xsql:insert-request" rows="1"/> after it inserts the data into the database. I am trying to follow the insertnewsform example in Steve's book "building oracle xml applications" to return user a thank-you note. Here is my problem:
I have four files:
faqform.html (html form, action=faqfeed.xsql)
faqfeed.xsql
request-to-faq.xsl (used as transform for faqfeed.xsql)
thankyou.xsl (used for returning user a thank-you)
When I submit the html form, I get an error saying:
"The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
Invalid at the top level of the document. Line 1, Position 43
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>"
I didn't put "encoding..." in any of my xsql files, not sure where that came from. When I used faqfeed.xsql?xml-stylesheet=none in the url and it showed up as a well-formed xml file with all the info I need. Here is my faqfeed.xsql and thankyou.xsl
********* faqfeed.xsql ***********
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="thankyou.xsl"?>
<page connection="template" xmlns:xsql="urn:oracle-xsql">
<xsql:insert-request table="faq" transform="request-to-faq.xsl"/>
<xsql:query tag-case="lower" max-rows="5" rowset-element="" row-element="faq">
select * from faq
</xsql:query>
</page>
********* thankyou.xsl **********
<html xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xsl:version="1.0">
<head><title>Thank you!</title></head>
<body>
<h3>Thank you for your faq!</h3>
Your faq has been successfully inserted to the database!
<table>
<xsl:for-each select="page/faq">
<tr>
<td><xsl:value-of select="question"/></td>
<td><xsl:value-of select="answer"/></td>
</tr>
</xsl:for-each>
</table>
</body>
</html>
Anything I am missing here that caused that error? Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

nullDo the XSQL Demos work correctly on your system?
The error you're getting seems like maybe the *.xsql extension is not mapped properly to the oracle.xml.xsql.XSQLServlet class in your servlet engine. -
Revision level in purchase order
Hello all,
when creating a purchase order for a material, the revision level from the material master will be automatically added to the Item-Material Data-Revision Level field.
But what happens if in the meantime the revision level is updated on the material master, I guess the PO will not be updated on that field?
The problem is, I need the updated revision level field on the output of the PO, currently I am using the field EKPO-REVLV in the sapscript which refers to the revision level data from the PO.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
AnneHi Prakash,
I have tried to use this field in the form: AEOI-REVLV
This should be the original table.
I am using the standard print program for POs: SAPFM06P
Unfortunatelly, somehow the value does not come up for AEOI-REVLV, but it does come up for EKPO-REVLV.
Thanks,

BOM explosion in subcontracting order according to revision level
Hello experts
I have different revision levels available for a subcontracted material, e.g. the BOM of this material has different versions depending on the validity date.
When a BOM explosion is carried out in the subcontracting order (either in the purchase request or in the purchase order) the selected version of the BOM is done accordingly to the delivery date. It does NOT take into account the revision level even when I change it manually.
Do you have any idea if it is possible to force SAP to consider the revision level instead of the delivery date for the BOM explosion ? (custo, user exit, BAdI, ...)
Many thanks
AmauryHi
BOM explosion in Subcon PO will be carried out automatically when you select the item category L.
If you want to control the BOM selection based on the Alternative then you can go with Production version option and get the help from PP consultant to create the production version.
Assign the production version in Subcontracting Inforecord.
Click the BOM explosion button the switch to alternative BOM during the PO creation.
Hope it helps

Revision level not appearing in material tab of purchase order
hi
I have matained revision level in material master but it is not appearing in material tab of purchase order and print preview of purchase order
regards
BadariHi, If u have created proper change no in CC01 with assigned object material with proper validity period u can give revision level to material.
In order to reflect the current revision level on PO printout, the coding in PO print program should be designed accordingly to pick the latest revision level. PO output needs to be re-issued so that the new output can pick the latest information like PO revision level from the master.
Refer below link also for more information,
