Revision level in purchase order

Hello all,
when creating a purchase order for a material, the revision level from the material master will be automatically added to the Item-Material Data-Revision Level field.
But what happens if in the meantime the revision level is updated on the material master, I guess the PO will not be updated on that field?
The problem is, I need the updated revision level field on the output of the PO, currently I am using the field EKPO-REVLV in the sapscript which refers to the revision level data from the PO.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Anne

Hi Prakash,
I have tried to use this field in the form: AEOI-REVLV
This should be the original table.
I am using the standard print program for POs: SAPFM06P
Unfortunatelly, somehow the value does not come up for AEOI-REVLV, but it does come up for EKPO-REVLV.
Thanks,
Anne

  • Manual Change Revision Level in Production Order

    Dear guru ,
The revision level in the production order (for material to be produced and for the component)  isn't manual changeable.
Does exist a chance for a manual change of revision level ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Suresh ,
i know the link with ECM. In production order i can change the component revision level if i work with bom explosion date in read PP master data. But this solution isn't flexible. Imagine that i want to read PP master data with different explosion date for different component ...
Why in the purchase order the system allow a manual change of revision level and this chance doesn't exist in production order ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • No of levels in purchase order release more than 8

    Dear All,
We have a situation where some of our purchase orders need to be approved by more than 8 people. Can any one help me in telling-> whether we can create release strategies having more than 8 levels of approvals. If yes how to do it since I could see only max of 8 levels of approvals in the release strategy configuration for purchase order(release strategy with classification).
    Regards,
    Feroz Choudhury

    Hello,
As mentioned by Uttkarsh, It is not possible to go beyond 8 levels in release strategy.
More than 8 levels of approval is not a best practice, if your requirement still demands this explore the options of using Workflow functionalities in ECC or if approval is complex suggest SRM where you can handle n-level approval.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Updating Revision level in purchase contract

    Hi All,
I want to update the Revision level field (EKPO-REVLV) in a Purchase contract. The BAPI_CONTRACT_CHANGE is not updating the field. Please suggest me some options to update the same.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Senthil J

    Hi Senthil,
Have you seen  the documentation of this bapi .Please check
    Notes
    Master conditions
When creating outline agreements, you can specify only one period per variable key. This means that just one period can be specified for the document header (i.e. condition table A019). The same applies to each item (i.e. condition table A016) and to each item/plant combination (i.e. condition table A068).
You can use any periods. However they must not overlap for a variable key.
When conditions are changed, new condition records are nevertheless written.
Because volume rebate conditions are not taken into account in outline agreements, they are not processed.
No subitems (e.g. inclusive/exclusive bonus quantities, display, etc.) are taken into account.
The control key for quality management in procurement (EKPO-SSQSS) and the certificate category (EKPO-ZGTYP) are only taken into account to a certain extent. These two items of information are copied from the reference contract or material master, but cannot be changed; neither are any checks carried out for these two fields.
The revision level (EKPO-REVLV) cannot be changed because various quality management routines were not implemented.
Version management (Document Change Management) is not supported.
External services (planned or unplanned) are not supported.
The creation or changing of configurations is not supported.
    Post if need help here.

  • Revision level not appearing in material tab of purchase order

    hi
I have matained revision level in material master but it is not appearing in material tab of purchase order and print preview of purchase order
    regards
    Badari

Hi, If u have created proper change no in CC01 with assigned object material with proper validity period u can give revision level to material.
In order to reflect the current revision level on PO printout, the coding in PO print program should be designed accordingly to pick the latest revision level. PO output needs to be re-issued so that the new output can pick the latest information like PO revision level from the master.
Refer below link also for more information,

  • Purchase order -revison level

    Hi !
I need to change the parameter Material Revision level of
    Purchase order.
( Field Revision Level in transaction ME21N)
is in SAP abap/function for doing this ?
    Thank
    Moshe

    Hi Sugandh Ameer Baba,
This is working exactly the way the ME21N / ME22N transaction is designed!
When you are in ME22N, if your "item details section" is open , then you cannot modify anything on the "item overview section".
So, if you need to edit the Purchase Requisition line number at item overview section, COLLAPSE the "item details section "
Hope I got your issue right !!!

  • Incoterms in purchase order should appear only in header.

    Hi All,
When the inter company purchase order is created with reference to purchase requistion, in some scenarios the header and item level incoterms are copied in the purchase order.
    1. Incoterms in the header level of purchase order are copied from vendor master.
    2. Incoterms in the item level of purchase order are copied from customer master.
One of the observation made my by me is that -  when we create a purchase order with reference to purchase requisition and prior to copying and adopting the purchase requisition if we leave the purchase organization field blank then system will copy the incoterm at the item level of purchase order.
Our requirment is 1.how we can avoid copying the icoterms at the item level of purchase order 2. In what situations the incoterms are copied in the item level of purchase order.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Shrikant

    Hi,
To have VAT to appear in the PO print clearly ,1st heck FORM or PDF/SmartForm Form used for your PO out put type for application EF in NACE t.code. Check SmartForm in t.code: SMARTFORMS and see condition types VAT is there or not. Just check with ABAPer about condition type of VAT inclusion in SmartForm.
VAT can be inventoried or can be used for Set-Off (you can say as non-deductable or
Deductable) based on business process requirement or material behaves to purchasing document. For VAT can be inventoried , you should have a condition type with assigning of NVV key and For Set-Off VAT , you should have another condition type and assigning to an accounting key { For example: ZAV ( new one)not NVV key certainly} in tax procedure in OBYZ t.code & in t.code: OB40 , ZAV should assign to G/L account. You should have two tax codes , one for VAT - inventoried and another one for VAT- Set-Off and maintain condition record for each condition type with respective tax code.
For VAT can be inventoried, it will affect on accounting in MIGO transaction adding VAT amount to Inventory Account. For Set-Off VAT, it will affect in MIRO transaction.

  • Linking Production Order UDF to Purchase Order.

    Hi,
I have some udf created in Production Order Row level like length, size, height which varies for each production process and I want that these udf's which are filled with some values comes in the Purchase Order when MRP is run based on production order.
How to achive this in SAP Business One. How to link udf's for diffrent tables.
    Regards,
    Kawish

    Hi Suda,
The Udf value for individual items would change as per requirement for making production order.
And the udf would contain formatted search which would have fixed contents and one will choose as per requirment.
    For example :
    Production Order No 1
    Item = Abc
    Udf ( Length ) with formated search = 10
Udf (width) with formated search = 20
UDF ( Specification ) with formatted search  = Any predifined specification.
Note : Now for Production order No 2 the above details in udf can change as per requirment for production / purchase process.
Now I want once this production order is saved all the udf details showed come in row level of Purchase Order after doing MRP by Production order.
I hope to be clear as per my requirement.
Please suggest any solution for such case.
    Regards,
    Kawish

I want to restrict this Process, It should not allow more than PO Qty.
In the STPO Setting, Checking rule field is blank. Is this the reason for

    Thanx in Advance.
    Key.

    Hi -
This is controlled by setting at item level in purchase order / sto creation transaction i.e, ME21N.
Go to item --> Delivery tab.
You will see under delivery tolerance and over delivery tolerance.
Please reward points if youfind this information useful.

  • Re: Purchase Order

    Hi ,
While working for a purchase order when I enter all the data like
    Vendor,
    Pur. Org
    Pur. Grp.
    Com. Code.
    & Material,
The system is picking up a plant which is of no use to me.I want that As I enter all the data I mentioned above the system should pick the right plant .
Now how to get this thing done ,
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    vivek

    Hi,
    Two ways,
    1)     Go To ME21N Transaction, At item level You can define default values for your purchase order. If you want to default your plant, Storage location, Material group etc., this all you can done default with default values button, available at item level of purchase order.
    2)     Create Purchase Requisition for material and take reference of Purchase requisition at the time of purchase order creation. So system put plant from purchase requisition at the time of purchase order creation.
    Regards,
    Mahesh.

    Hello all,
when I create a new purchase order for a material, is it possible to assign the latest revision level of that material (material master - basic data 1) automatically to the Revision level field on item level - Material data for the material in the PO? Meaning when I create the PO with this material, SAP automatically fills this field with the revision information from the material master?
    Thanks
    Anne
