Revover emails from deleted account in Windows Live Mail

Hello, I deleted my account in Windows Live Mail and tried the procedure to recover them from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
Live Mail.
I also tried to Go
to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft and then right click on the Windows Live Mail folder and choose ‘restore previous versions’ but I had no restore point (the option to generate a restore point had been disabled in the past due to the low HD capacity
of the PC).
I also tried to scan all .eml files from the PC to lave the emails but I had thousands of them in many folders and I can't locate them anymore.
I believe that deleting an account from WindowsLive Mails does not definitely delete all emails in one click so where can rhese emails be?
Thank you

  • Can I use iCloud to copy all the emails from the iPhone to Windows Live Mail on my PC?

My Windows 8 OS got trashed and I had to "refresh" it which involved losing all my Windows Live Mail emails (i.e. *.eml files in %AppData%). I have a backup from 18 months ago and most of my recent emails are on my phone.
Is there a way I can copy (en masse) the emails from my iPhone to my Windows Live Mail on my PC?
    Thanks in advance.

Please ignore this question. Or tell me how to delete it.

  • Do you copyemail from a PC running windows live mail? I have attempted to use Thunderbird and was successful in converting the live mail files to Mbox format but when I tried to import these files to the Mac only one message from each file was shown.

I am having a problem trying to migrate some old email messages from a PC running Windows live mail.
I downloaded Thunderbird to the PC and imported the email messages and folders into Thunderbird and was able to create Mbox files for all the folders and messages. I  copied these files to a usb stick and then tried to export the folders and messages to my iMac running Lion. It appeared  to copy the folders to the Mac but only one message per folder was placed on the computer. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should proceed to copy these email messages over? Thanks.

  • HT4864 Has anyone added an icloud account to Windows Live Mail?  If so how? I keep getting error messages.

How do I add my icloud email account to Windows Live Mail?  I keep getting errors.

    Hi,
    Try the following steps:
    1. Check windows updates.
    2. Try the Microsoft Fix it in this kb to remove previous install completely:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501/en-us
    3. Reboot.
    4. Try installing again.
This seems helpful on the issue.
As always, thank you for your suggestion, Don:)

  • I cannot send an email with attachment from elements 11 via windows live mail 2012 on my windows 8.1 pc.  Can anyone help?

I am using elements 11, windows live mail 2012 on a windows 8.1 PC.  When trying to attach an elements 11 image to an email via the sharing option in Organizer, I get a message that the email message cannot be completed, and to try Adobe mail.  I have set preferences to windows live mail, but no success.

    Hi,
With Windows 8, the new message sometimes hides in the taskbar
When you see the spinning circle, look at the taskbar to see if the Windows Live Mail has grown another task. Hover over the icon on the taskbar to shown the two images, right click on the right hand image and then select maximize. That should show the message ready for sending.
    Good luck.

  • FIOS Email: Doesn't work with Windows Live Mail?

I have follow the instructions posted in mid April 2015 for changing the email settings and they do not work at all with Windows Live Mail.
Unable to send or receive messages for the Verizon (text deleted by me) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.
    Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Authentication failed
    Server: 'pop.verizon.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 995
    Secure(SSL): Yes
I am using the exact same identical password I used successfully to access webmail.  I confirmed the port settings of 995 (incoming) and 465 (outgoing) are being used in the set up. I noticed various versions of Outlook (Express, 2010, etc) have instructions posted here but not Windows Live Mail. Do the new settings not work on the client?

Update: I did find the instructions posted at http://www.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Announcements/general-announcements01.htm?CMP=EMC-CVZ_ZZ_... and they DO NOT WORK
Followed them to the letter step by step and still cannot access when using Webmail.  Here is the response:

  • Setting up an account for Windows Live Mail, Calendar and Contacts

    Hey guys,
Very recently my university mail changed from the regular webmail to Windows Live.
    The question is :
How do I set up an account for emails, calendars and contacts in my mail.app?
Also do I have to use entourage for this purpose or will the mail app be able to figure it all?
    Thanks

You will need your email server addresses for the incoming and outgoing mail servers, your email username and password, and whether you need to use login security, POP or IMAP or Exchange account type, and any relevant port numbers. Then for Mail it's simply creating a new mail account and providing the above information where requested or needed. For assistance with the use of Mail select Mail Help from Mail's Help menu and search for relevant keywords. Same with iCal. In iCal Preferences click on the Accounts icon to configure an Exchange account.
My guess is that if you ask at computer services at your university they can provide the web page at which you will find configuration instructions for using different email clients.
I am not at all familiar with Windows Live but it appears that it may be a browser based information system meaning you may not be able to access it from Mail or iCal. Again discuss this with the IT people at your university.

  • Can't send any emails from various accounts set up in mail 4.4

I have a number of different email accounts (3 POP, 1 IMAP) set up in mail 4.4. Lately i have had some problems sending emails from some of the accounts. Usually, I get the outgoing mail server reject message, and then I try another server, and then it sends. THe next time I go to send an email through the outgoing server that I was rejected by, it sends without problems. Each time I shutdown, restart, or open the lid on the macbook, I go through the same process. UNTIL today. Now, I can't send ANYTHING outbound, via any of the 4 outgoing mail servers that I have set up. I have run with this same configuration without change for almost 3 years. Only change is that I have recently changed ISPs. Please help. Work from home, so critical problem.

I had had the same problem after changing my ISP. It is definitely a Mail 4.4 problem. I partially fixed it by trashing all four of my e-mail accounts in mail preferences (simply click on the minus sign to delete them) and rebuilding them all with the correct settings and passwords. This worked fine with ATT, MSN and QWest but the Mail app simply refuses to connect to AOL's outgoing mail server (smtp.aol.com). In other words, I can receive AOL mail but I cannot send AOL mail using the Mac Mail app. Have to log on to AOL's web site and do it that way, which is a huge pain in the you know where. Mail 4.4 is definitely hinky -- keeps erasing passwords and asking for them again and again. As a result, my keychain contains numerous repetitions of the same password for each mail account. I don't know why Apple doesn't fix this problem, which recurs with depressing regularity according to many Mac Mail users on this forum.

  • Email deleted in Mail application reappears in Windows Live Mail account.

I use a @hotmail.com account and check my emails on the Mail application in my iPod touch.
I scan and delete those mails on the move.
However, to my dismay, the same mails are not deleted from the inbox when I access my @hotmail.com account via Windows Live Mail.
HELP! Why is there a problem with the sync! I do not have the luxury of spending so much time checking and deleting my emails!

Sorry, no answer here; but the same problem.
Only we're on a Mac with a Comcast internet mail provider.
If we use the 'Mail' software on the Mac, we have it set up to pull those emails (or delete them within a week) from the Comcast site.
However, using the 'Mail' software on the iPod Touch and retrieving and/or deleting them on the iPod doesn't delete messages from Comcast's website, no matter how long.
Same question - is there a way to setup the iPod to pull emails out of the provider's site? Who has time to delete emails twice through 2 different sources?
    Thanks in advance

  • Want automatic deletion of Verizon Yahoo Internet emails when they're moved to Window Live Mail

In Windows Live Mail, click on Menu, Options, then Email accounts on the Toolbar. Highlight your @verizon.net  account and click Properties. Click the Advanced tab, then un-check the Leave a copy of messages on server checkbox.
This should remove mail from the server as it is downloaded.

  • Cant create email account but can with windows live mail

I have an email account that thunderbird just wont create I have contacted my isp and have all the settings correct but everytime i get a message saying. Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account. but on my other email account with charter thunderbird set it up just fine. but when i used the settings to set up the email account in windows live mail it worked. My isp told me its a problem with thrunderbird. can someone help me please.

Not a problem with Thunderbird, a problem with your anti virus blocking Thunderbird from accessing the internet.
the configuration for charter is here https://autoconfig.thunderbird.net/v1.1/charter.net
If Thunderbird can not find it, it is because it can not connect.
Check the firewall component of the anri virus and make sure Thunderbird has full access to the internet.

  • BT INTERNET EMAIL / WINDOWS LIVE MAIL ISSUE

Good Evening BTCare Community, thanks for taking the time to read this.
I am posting here in the hope that someone out there has come across this problem before when using a BT Internet Email account with Windows Live Mail.
My friend has a BT Internet email account - I've set up Windows Live Mail for him, on a Windows 7 laptop. This was a pretty straightforward process, however my friend is constanly seeing the following error when attempting to send/receive mails through WLM
UNABLE TO SEND OR RECEIVE MESSAGES FOR THE BT INTERNET ACCOUNT
I have tried for several weeks to get to the bottom of this, but sadly with no avail. I have spoken to BT Tech Support twice - the first time an analyst connected to the laptop & checked this - he suddenly suggested I re-install WLM (Which I think was his was of getting me off the phone, as it was approaching 2200 UK time, which I think is when the Help Desk closes!) - so I gave this a try - a complete re-installation of WLM was done - but I am afraid that this hasn't resolved things, the error is still being generated.
I have contacted BT again - spoke to another analyst, who after discussions advised me that there is a known issue between WLM and BT Internet accounts - and that the above error is being displayed due to the size of some email messages that are waiting to be delivered to my friends account. The analyst then suggested that I might want to try another email client - he suggested Mozilla Thunderbird. I've had no experience of Thunderbird - so I've tried downloading this on my own system to see what it's all about - straight away my AV reported a Trojan - MAPIATTACH.TMP - so I'm not going to play about any more with Thunderbird, if I can help it!
Of course, my friend is able to access his email at the BT Internet web page - but we would like his email to be up & running without any problems on an email client - surely there must be some way around the error above, to get my friends email up & running without this error constantly being generated?
I would be extremely grateful for any assistance with this problem - if you have any experience of this error I would love to hear about it - especially if you got it resolved!
Thanks for taking the time to read this - thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.
    Kindest Regards
    Alex

If you Google search "mail not sending on BT client" restricted to the UK and for the last week you get 19500 results right now. Even if only some of these fit this thread, there are others.
As there are so many threads scattered about, this might help - though you are on a Windows box:
