  • Rezised editable regins

    Hey all,
    I am running into an issue when I paste text into an
    editable region in an xhtml file--it automatically resizes the
    region width (to wider), and will not shrink again. I tried just
    copying unformatted text, that doesn't work. I also tried resetting
    the width of the table cell, and that of the editable region in the
    property inspector, but nothing happens.
    Seems like if the region width is set in the template (which
    it is) it shouldn't change in the xhtml file that it is applied to.
    Right?
    Thanks!
    Paul

    Two things that could be related to XHTML and the strict
    manner that tags must be closed
    If you are using tables and you have unexpected width changes
    in columns - then you can specify the width of your <td>...
    For example, if you have a <table width="100%"></table>
    - specify the width of the cells via the <td> tags - either
    relative with a percentage <td width="50%"></td> - be
    consistent for the first <tr> of the table, and you should
    see a remarkable difference. If you are using absolute sizing,
    i.e., <table width="760"></table> - inplying pixels,
    then set your <td width="300">... Take care that you don't
    have any conflicts in your style sheets (assuming you use CSS) that
    would confuse a browser
    Do you format your text with a CSS class? If so, you might
    have an issue where a <span class="classname"></span>
    is applied, but not closed or nested properly... Or you could have
    accidentally put content outside of the closed </td> tag - or
    worse yet, not closed the tag properly at all... perhaps
    accidentally deleted it when you pasted in the new content...
    That's a no-no in XHTML.
    Consider setting the overall content style in a class - this
    includes all the margins, cell widths, padding, etc. I prefer
    applying the class to the actual <p
    class="classname"></p> and only using a <span> tag
    when a temporary style change is used. Use contextual ids to define
    your major tags, too. CSS provides considerable strength if used
    cleverly.
    Quite honestly, I never build table structured sites any
    longer and love the freedom of CSS positioned sites - give me a
    <div> any day. But with clients, one has to work around
    existing site constructs and that often includes the necessity to
    use their tables... So... I'm used to trouble-shooting.
    In situations where XHTML is concerned, it is quite
    unforgiving if you haven't closed a tag or nested properly...
    unlike HTML, hierarchy is very important. If you're scratching your
    head, seriously just go to the WC3.org and try to validate your
    page... if there is a bona fide error in your coding - it will flag
    it for you.
    Hope this helps... good luck.

  • Rezising or resolution change???

    Hi, I have shot RAW images worked on them and saved them as High resolution JPEGS. I would like to send a large number of these images to the subject, and want them to print ok to 5*7 size, but was wondering the best way of doing this - is it to save as a lower resolution JPEG or to resize using image processor (as I have already amended and cropped the files - this would be difficult). I am using CS4

    You are addressing a number of issues that have no black and white answer as it depends on what they expect as a product.
    I assume you want to send smaller file sizes to make it easier.  Reducing the file resolultion will acomplish that, but it also reduces the quality of the end product.  This image size in pixels (height and width in pixels) is your starting point and the higher it is the more leaway you have to reduce it and still have reasonable quality.
    Your screen will only display 72 ppi (pixels per inch) resolultion, while a print is frequently 300 dpi (dots per inch).  So it is difficult to see on the screen how the print will look.  You just may have to run a few tests to see how x resolultion prints.
    If you resize image it depends on whether you resample image or not.  To see the inter-relationship between image size, file size, and pixel dimensions open an image in Photoshop and click on Image/image size.  Change the document size and watch the numbers change with resample image on and off.
    And filnally resizing to 5x7 usually means a crop in either height or width.  Again look at document size and type in 5 for height and see what width would be without a crop.
    Hope this helped rather than just adding confusion.

  • HELP:script that iterates through all opened documents and rezise them to match the biggest one.

    Hi,
    I'm making a batch processing action and I really need a script that iterates through all open documents, finds the one with the biggest image size and then iterates one more time to change the rest of the documents to the same image size dimensions. At the end all documents must share identical image size.  I'll really  appreciate if someone can put a quick script for doing this. Thank you !

    I think should do…
    #target photoshop
    if (documents.length > 1) {
         var smallest = 1000000; // Set beyond any size you may be expecting this should do?
         for (var a = 0; a < documents.length; a++) {
              smallest = Math.min(smallest,documents[a].width.as('px'));
         for (var b = 0; b < documents.length; b++) {
              if (documents[b].width.as('px') != smallest) {
                   app.activeDocument = documents[b];
                   var newWidth = new UnitValue(smallest, 'px');
                   documents[b].resizeImage(newWidth,undefined,undefined,ResampleMethod.BICUBICSMOOTHER);
    }else{
         alert("NOT enough docs to resize?");

  • How to maitain size and position of a panel in lookout?

    To my project, i need to show several panels at same time. The user no to be able to rezise or move panel of their position.
    Sombody can help me?
    By the way, i'm using lookout 4.5 build 19

    Unfortunately, there is not a direct way that you can “lock down” the panels to prevent the user from moving them. However, one thing you might want to consider is to use a button that will automatically position the panels where you want them every time the button is pressed. Another thing you could use is a timer that will automatically position the panels where you want them at a specific time interval. Both of these methods involve using the X and Y data members of a Panel.
    However, I would suggest that you submit a product suggestion for the next revision of Lookout to include the feature that you are looking for. Please go to ni.com/contact and then go to the Product Feedback section.

  • Can´t open my osx system due to an error after resizing my bootcamp partition

    Well, i recently installed windows 7 in my mac with the bootcamp, after that i realized that 100 gb (the space i used for the new partition) was not enough, then i searched for a way to rezise my windows drive, i first resized the mac disk so i could upgrade the windows with more space and found Mini-Tool Partition Wizard (third party) to do that. Did the procedure and after restarting the pc it reopened on windows but with this error http://i.imgur.com/TW05ZZw.jpg, meanwhile i tried to "enter" or "esc" but my keyboard didnt work. All i want is a way to get to my osx system so i can erase windows 7 and install it again setting the space that i want in the process.

    This brings up the Recovery Console. Do not make any changes, but can you post the output (using Terminal) of
    diskutil list
    diskutil cs list
    You can use the Safari available in the Recovery Console to post information here.
    From Boot Camp 5.1: Frequently asked questions
    How can a Windows partition be resized after Windows is installed?
    You need to delete the Windows partition using the Boot Camp Assistant, and start over to change the size of the Windows partition. Back up your important Windows files first.

  • Can I create a portfolio slideshow using custom thumbnails?

    Hi. After searching the forums and watching several Lynda tutorials, I can't seem find an answer to my specific question. I'm creating a new portfolio website for myself and for the actual portfolio page, I went ahead and created custom thumbnails for each of the pieces I want to display and gave them all the same rollover state (see the screen capture image below of how I'd like them to look when hovered over).
    I was expecting to be able to use them as a trigger to get a pop-up slideshow, but it appears the only way to do so in Muse is by using one of the pre-existing widgets. I know you can customize the widgets, but I don't see any way I can use the custom thumbnails I already created. Am I overlooking something or can this simply not be done in Muse and I have to change my thumbnail layout to match what the widgets allow?
    And for a secondary question, my portfolio images are all different sizes (depending on the type of design, of course). Do any of the widgets in Muse have the ability to change their size and shape based on the image? Or do I have to make all of the images fit into the same size window?
    Thank you!

    sebrame Thanks for pointing out the compsition widget! I was able to make the gallery with it, without moving my project to dreamweaver! I don't know about your slideshow widget, but for me it doesn't let me to make the triggers different sizes. If you resize one thumbnail, it will resize all of them at the same time. :/
    RimVai wrote:
    @sebrame - I'm aware that it's possible with a composition, but adding about 200 images in my case would be very time consuming compared to if the functionality was readily available in the gallery widget..?
    RimVai Yeah, last week I actually made it with the composition widget - which was truly more time consuming than the slideshow > lightbox widget. But there're actually some little presets making it just a bit less hard with compositions. (You just have to be extra careful when adding the images.)
    You may know these already, but I write them here in case someone who doesn't know happens to read this thread.
    You don't need to add all 200 thumbnails one by one. Just place the composition widget, and then use the "place" tool to add all your images. Click the very first thumbnail box with the place tool: Muse will automatically add all 200 pictures into separate 200 thumbnails that you'll then be able to rezise and move around. The order of the pictures (without broking the link between the lightbox picture and the thumbnail) can be changed after adding the lighbox pictures, by moving the thumbnail object to front or behind within the widget.
    While adding the lightbox image, make 100% sure that you are in the lighbox page of the very first thumbnail, then use the "place" tool again and click the box that should be holding the content of the first thumbnail. It will again place all 200 pictures into the separate lighbox "pages" or whatever they are called. If you were in the box of the first thumbnail, the pictures will now  be in order, and linked to their correct thumbnails.
    I agree, the composition is much more inconvinient to use than the slideshow widget, but in my case I really needed different size thumbnails for my gallery. So for me it was worth the work, I guess. The best thing Muse developer team could do with this, would be to enable the different size thumbnails with slideshow widget as well, but before that happens this was the best option for me.

  • Events move_contol and size_control in class cl_gui_dialogbox_container

    Hello,
    Here's quite a tricky problem, which I could need some help for.
    I have an object of class cl_gui_dialogbox_container with some HTML in it. The users can resize and move the control on the screen. Now position and size shall be kept in a dictionary table for each user.
    I've registered the three events close, move_contol and size_control
      CALL METHOD gc_dialogbox->set_registered_events
        EXPORTING
          events                    = gt_events
    with event_ids 8, 11 and 12 and set the three handlers, e.g.
      SET HANDLER cl_event_receiver_tree=>handle_close
      FOR gc_dialogbox.
    I created three corresponding methods handle_close, handle_move_control and handle_size_control.
    Well, so far for what I've done. Now the results:
    If I close the dialogue box, ABAP correctly jumps into method handle_close. But at that point, the control has already been closed! So I can't read size and position any more.
    If I move or rezise the window, nothing at all happens... Not even the debugger would pop up if I do anything with the box.
    Does anyone here know how to do this?
    Thanks!

    A quick update in case anyone else is looking for a solution:
    I've still not found out how to handle the events move_control and size_control.
    However, when handling close_control, it's possible to catch size and position:
    call the methods to obtain size and/or position
    call a cfw flush
    only then the parameters will be filled with the correct values.
    Important: This must happen after the close button has been pressed, but before the control will be destroyed. So put it in the correct place in your source code.

  • Indesign crashes when Exporting a Print PDF

    Has anyone had problems with Exporting Print PDF from Indesign CC?
    I can do an interactive one, but not print.
    No. It is not the file I am trying to print. I have tried a brand new one with nothing in it as well.

    I believe "PrintFusion45" recommends you to use lower resolution (resized) copies of your original TIFFs in your Indesign document.
    You can have a look at the "effective ppi" in the "link info" window for a selected image, and compare it with the intended print resolution (in your case perhaps the image downsampling setting in the pdf export).
    If you intend to create a pdf using 300 ppi downsampling for the images, and the effective ppi of an image in the document is 1000 ppi (which could be the result if you rezise a large image to a small area in InDesign), then InDesign will have much more data to process, than using an image that already has the same ppi as the intended output.
    There is of course the downside of keeping more than one original image, just to get the InDesign documents "lighter" and faster to print.
    I hope this makes things a bit clearer.

  • Image size to fill out the IE window

    Hello,
    I have a view with a menu on the left and a view container on the right side.
    In the view container a linked another view.
    That only constist of an image. I want this image to fill out the whole space available in the IE.
    if somwbody has a low monitor resultion, it should be rezised to fill out everything and if somebody has a high resultion its the same. I dont want any "scroll bars" in the IE because the picture is to big nor I want empty space because the picture is displayed smaller than the window of the IE.
    I have tried everything out. I put the image in a transparent container with "stretch", i set high and width for the transparent container and the picture to 100% but nothing really works.
    As soon as I set high of the image to 100% it zero pixel. But if I set an value with px, em or ex I define the size and rezising is not done. And I cant see what the option "adjust image size" really does. I cant see any difference by (un)-checking it.
    Is there any way to tell an object to be exactly that size the IE has? Is webdynpro able to recognize the monitor resolution and render an object to exactly that size?
    Thanks for your help!

    Thanks for the quick answer!
    It does not work.
    I can only see a very thin horizontal like. The image gets "compressed" to about 3 pixel and the line is as long as the image is wide (so no vertical sizing as well).
    I tried it with WinXP SP3 and IE8.
    I tried it with WinXP SP3 and IE6.
    I tried it with my own PC via VPN to make sure its no nasty setting to our company desktop and I have only Windows, Office, SAP GUI on it. Nothing else.
    Always the same result. As soon as I set the height of the image to 100% I get only a thin horizontal line.
    You were able to accomplish. So I tried FireFox portable - and it works!
    My lesson learned is that a picture can only be re-sized to a smaller size but not expanded. Thats no problem, I could use a 1600x1200 pixel graphic and then its made smaller.
    But we have to use IE because thats the companies standard and SAPs as well.
    We have the application running on a NetWeaver 2004s BI 7.0 machine. No EHP1. System got latest patches 3-4 month ago.
    I cant believe that the SAP machine is the problem, because FireFox renders the graphik the same as your screenshots show.
    Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Or could it be some kind of customizing/parameter problem within SAP? I have the problem since over 1 year and always thought its just a bug getting solved somewhen by a patch...

  • Simple Viewer Not So Simple Any Longer?

    I first did my website in 2006 and decided to update my Photo Gallery this weekend using SimpleViewer. As an aside, I have not upgraded iWeb/iPhotoExport/SimpleViewer...and am still using all of the same programs I used in 2006 that worked flawlessly ( iWeb 1.1.2, iPhotoExport 1.7, and SimpleViewer).
    The current revision went well...BUT, when viewed on Safari, the page has vertical and horizontal 'slider bars', which it didn't have before. On Firefox, however, it looks fine (no slider bars), and I am wondering why there is a difference.
    Am I missing something and/or have a setting wrong? I'd like the page to NOT have the slider bars, as I think it is annoying.
    Please check out the page at www.festivitiesinc.com and then click on photo gallery. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as always.

    embed swf directly into your site instead of iframe to html page that has embedded swf file.
    iFrame http://homepage.mac.com/festive1/Portfolio-2/viewer.swf
    you may want to change the background color of your swf if desired.
    Visit http://homepage.mac.com/festive1/Portfolio-2/index.html resize browser window to samller size and you will see scroll bars appear. Visit http://homepage.mac.com/festive1/Portfolio-2/viewer.swf rezise browser window and no matter how small you resize it no scroll bars will ever appear.
    or look into Flash embed code there's a few tutorials out there that show you how to do it in iWeb '06 search Flash to find help. Ignore the posts that say you need iWeb '08 when searching.

  • Vertical slides

    I am using both horizontal and Vertical slides in a slide show and have figured out that I can make a Master Slide and drop in an Image and then push and pull the tags of the image to make it fit into the slide's dimensions.
    Master Slide > Black
    Drag m Image into your new Master Slide and push and pull the corners of the image until it fits the whole slide in the Horizontal mode.  ( The Vertical slide will resize to fit  into this place)
    Keep Master Slide selected:
    Then FORMAT>ADVANCED>DEFINE AS MEDIA PLACEHOLDER
    You can also make this Image the one that fits all Master slides,
    Now you can make a New Slide and your Master will have a PLACEHOLDER to drop your images into and they will rezise themselves to fit into your cropped Master Slide.
    The problem is that you have to drop an Image into this Place Holder from your list of Images ONE at a time.
    New Slide
    ( Double Check to see that the Master slide you created is Checked on the "Masters" icon on the toolbar)
    The New Slide will have the image you used to crop to fit into the slide space..
    Since the Horozontal Image can fit over the whole Slide, when you drop in a Horizontal image into the PlaceHolder, it will resize it to fit into your Master Slide.
    Also If you drop a Vertical Image into the NEW slide PlaaceHolder, the image will be resized to fit to the TOP and Bottom of the Placeholder and let the sides go where they will and leave the rest of the slide black.
    How do I Automate this so all I have to do is DROP a FOLDER of images on the Light Box and let the computer do all the work>??

    Jerry
    I have a messy workaround for you:
    Create a number of slideshows starting with the first which is say landscape (call it Slideshow A set at 1280 x 720) and the next slideshow in portrait (call it Slideshow B set at 720 x 1280) and continue creating further Slideshow files (C, D, E etc) in alternating landscape and portrait settings as required.
    Then link them all up in a chain by selecting any object in the last slide of Slideshow A and linking it to the next slideshow (B) using the Hyperlink option in the Inspector pallet. Use a similar link in the last slide of Slideshow B linking it to Slideshow C etc. Run Slideshow A (landscape) and when you get to it's last slide, click on the hyper-linked object to kick off Slideshow B which should be in portrait etc.
    As this is an inelegant solution, I have sent Apple's Keynote team some feedback suggesting they provide the ability to link to specific slides in slideshows (much like the way links can be created to specific slides within the same slideshow).
    Hope that helps.

  • Resizing and positioning a stage with a background image

    Hey guys,
    I'm trying to get some specific behaviour on a stage as I think it'll work out best for the application I am doing. The module I am working on right now consists of a stage with an imageview bound to the width and height and an image inside. I'm eventually looking to setup some animations and such which will overlay on the image but I want the window to be resizable in various ways.
    Right now, when the stage is created I manually set the width and height so the image fits perfectly in the stage. For resizing, I want the user to be able to drag either the height or width or diagonal sliders but have the original aspect ratio of the stage retained. I have the preserveRatio variable set to true in the ImageView which makes the image not become distorted, but the stage can be extended horizontally/vertically/diagonally to any ratio which I'd rather not have. In terms of fullscreening, I'd like to allow it and have the image centred.
    I've tried to see if the LayoutInfo class can help me out, but it doesn't seem to have any implementations which are too useful for what I am trying to do. So does anyone know how I can accomplish the above? I'm very new to JavaFX so if anyone can make any other suggestions in terms of the objects I am using and what's best practices for what I am trying to do, it would be much appreciated. I've looked into using PathAnimation and PathTransition for the animations I am using and while they'd do most of the job well, I need to be able to place objects, modify speeds, locations etc. so I'll probably just end up making some custom drawing methods.
    Thanks in advance,

    function ResizeStage(bIsWidth: Boolean): Void
        if (stage.width == 0) return; // Init, nothing to do
        if (bResizingHeight and bIsWidth) // One dim is changed, don't react on setting of other dim
            bResizingHeight = false;
            return; // Just ignore secondary change
        if (bResizingWidth and not bIsWidth) // Idem
            bResizingWidth = false;
            return; // Just ignore secondary change
        if (bIsWidth)
            bResizingWidth = true;
        else
            bResizingHeight = true;
        println("Stage: {stage.width} x {stage.height}");
        def ratio = image.width / image.height;
        if (bIsWidth)
            stage.height = scene.width / ratio + insetY;
            println("H {scene.width} -> {stage.height}");
        else
            stage.width = scene.height * ratio + insetX;
            println("W {scene.height} -> {stage.width}");
        iv.fitWidth = scene.width;
    }There are still some glitches, but it roughly works...
    [EDIT] Changed to avoid resizing the dimension that the user is changing. Result is more logical but slightly worse... (?)
