RF-Implement without Warehouse  Configuration.

Hi Friends,
We are planning to implement RF at client location . They donu2019t have warehouse right now. They haev very simple procurement ; from PO u2013 GR at storage level only.
Please let me know "Can we Implement RF without having the Warehouse if yes what challenges will come up?
Or have to go with lean warehouse for passing values in LM01 screens.. as Warehouse looks Mandatory ."
Does we require XI/ PI interface for RF implementation ?

Lalit

Hi,
Your requirement was for RF transactions wihtout warehouse implemenation
So dummy warehouse is just a warehouse number without anything in it - storage type, sections or bins
1. For dummy warehouse, Bins are requried ? if yes thn material master has to be extended. - when there is no WM implemenation, BINs are not required and hence material need not be extended.
2. If you have dummy warehouse , GR cant be posted untill warehouse mgt ( material)  - GR done till IM Location only
because you may or may not assign dummy warehouse to a dummy storage location which is not used for any inventory purpose
3. Dummy warehouse is something like Lean WM?  - Dummy Whse is just a code used for RF purpose
4. If need to take Lt31 printout , will have problem if warehouse activated? - Without WM implemenation LT31 is not possible.
dummy warehouse to a dummy stor location does not impact anything as far as dummy location is not used
howere assignment is not mandatory

  • Handling unit mangement without Warehouse management

    Hello,
    We are working on a scenario,wherein we are planning to use handling unit management without warehouse management.Does HU management and WM go hand in hand?
    Do you foresee any inconsistencies if HU management is implemented without WM?
    What does SAP recommend?
    Thanks,
    Pankaj

    Hello,
    WM and HU functionality are independent solutions. WM and HU could be implemented based on your business scenarios. It is pretty common to have WM and HU solutions for the business.
    It will be sort of difficult to answer about inconsistency in HU solution without WM. Based on what process you define and what are the intricacies involved you may or may not have true inconsistencies.
    You could refer to the SAP best practices help library and see if for your business scenario SAP has a solution and that way you could best define an integrated solution.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Direct connection between 2 clients without any configuration!

    I wan to make a system act like hamachi or logmein (websever & clients).
    I have a webserver on the internet and two client from different networks connected to this webserver, now i want to make directly connection between these clients without any configuration on router. I think it is possible because all infomation about clients network could be got from http request which they send to server. But i don't know what exact fields in the header of http request that i need and how to set them to create connection between clients. I need some ideas about this issue.

    I know, so if you want to use a remote control tool such as: VNC, remote desktop you must config on router or server. But even if you had a proxy(permit port 80) when you type www.sun.com you will get data from it, this data was sent from Sun to your proxy and in some way the data was return to your browser. So i think if we have enough information(it come from the webserver) we could init a connection between 2 client. An example of this is Hamachi.
    At first 2 hamachi clients connect to a server of hamachi, when they have their id, a tunnel between 2 clients was established without any configuration on proxy(certainly that server did not deny port of hamachi). From now 2 clients can exchange data not through the server. The same in logmein, you can remote desktop any where with zero configuration, but the speed is guarantee because they contact to server for query information, but the data was transmited directly. Sorry if i make mistake.It doesn't work the way you think.
    There is a proxy or you have to have one side listening with a ServerSocket and have ports opened as needed. You can't create a Socket connection on server A between clients B and C and then pass it off to clients B and C and magically they just talk to each other.
    It does not work that way. It is impossible to do it that way.

  • Reducing your implementation time with Configuration Express Wizard

    Dear B1 community,
    recently a new tool has been published on the SDN which may help you to reduce the implementation time of SAP Business One 2005 A SP01.
    It is provided as a non-supported version and you can download it here: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/0033074f-9958-2a10-9cb0-ad9f75622b40.
    The package contains: The Configuration Express Wizard, a presentation explaining how to use the tool, and two webex sessions for more details.
    Try it - we are curious on your feedback.
    Regards,
    Markus

    Hi guys
    I've tried all links given here, but none of them are working properly. I've tried saving and opening, but either way I got a corrupted file.
    Is there any other way I can download it?
    I actually have CEW, but I think it is the old version, so I'm getting the following message:
    Wrong digital signature for add-on installer
    I supposed that the new version would fix this, according to this post:
    Reducing your implementation time with Configuration Express Wizard
    Can anyone help? I really needed this to do a presentation on thursday!
    Thanks!!

  • Implementing Decentralized Warehouse Management (LE-IDW)

    My company recently acquired another business. The acquired company is on SAP. In order to integrate the business more quickly without having to do a complete SAP overhaul at this moment, we are planning to implement LE-IDW (Decentralized Warehouse Management).
    Using this tool we plan to connect the other SAP system which handles the distribution, warehousing and manufacturing plant by using ALE.
    Because both companies operate in different company codes, the idea is to leave ownership of the finished goods with the distribution company until the goods have been shipped to the customer and invoiced to the selling company.
    This would require that we use some level of IM in the distribution company (i.e. the decentralized warehouse). The stock would be valuated in the distribution company not in the selling company.
    Out of the box LE-IDW is only set up to handle WM functions even though it uses deliveries to correspond to the other system. We would use the deliveries also to update the IM side of the distributing company.
    Does anyone have experience using LE-IDW this way? If so, I would be interested in your experiences.
    Thank you.

    Dear Sandar
    Sorry .We used <b>MIGO BAPI </b> trigger the goods movement.
    You will face some problem in cycle counting .
    We used 4.6c.
    We make GR /GI using MIGO .
    Cycle count we use default one.
    We used SAP standard message type.
    but change in inbound and outbound you have to do more testing.
    Check this link .This may be very useful for you.

  • Logging in without BI Configuration file

    Is there any sample for using BI Beans without configuration file? I tried to create all objects (BISession, BIUser, MetadataManager, connections) and link them, but reached NullPointerAssignment and simular errors only.

    This is a code extract from a Java Client sample that you should be able to integrate into a JSP environment:
    * Connects to the OLAP service and BI Beans Catalog using connection
    * information from the BI Configuration file and from the BIConectionDialog.
    protected void connect() {
    * Try to connect to the catalog based on the information collected in method
    * showConnectDialog()
    * - File based must be a valid directory (validated in showConnectDialog())
    * - Database must be a valid connection. The OLAP user will be the catalog
    * user. If the OLAP user is not a Catalog user - add user to the catalog
    * - The assumption here is that if the user is utilizing the database catalog,
    * then the database catalog is in the same database instance as the OLAP data
    * If unable to connect, tell user what to do to set up connection
    // set up the session
    if (m_session != null) {
    try {
    m_session.disconnect();
    catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println("Unable to disconnect from session.");

    m_session = new BISession();
    DefaultErrorHandler _handler = new DefaultErrorHandler();
    handler.setDebugMode(DefaultErrorHandler.SHOWNONE);
    m_session.addErrorHandler(_handler);
    // use the OLAP user for the BI User. This means the OLAP user must be a valid
    // user in the catalog
    m_session.setBIUser(new BIUser(m_OLAPUserName.getText()));
    try {
    m_session.connect();
    catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    MetadataManager _mm = null;

    showConnectionError(ce);
    return;
    * Try to connect to the catalog
    catalogCon = getCatalogConnection();
    if (catalogCon == null)
    return;
    try {
    * Create MetadataManager based on the two connections above

  • What are the best solutions for data warehouse configuration in 10gR2

    I need help on solutions to be provided to my Client for upgrading the data warehouse.
    Current Configuration: Oracle database 9.2.0.8. This database contains the data warehouse and one more data mart on the same host.Sizes are respectively 6 Terabyte(retention policy of 3 years+current year) and 1 Terabyte. The ETL tool and BO Reporting tools are also hosted on the same host. This current configuration is really performing poor.
    Client cannot go for a major architectural or configuration changes to its existing environment now due to some constraints.
    However, they have agreed to separate out the databases on separate hosts from the ETL tools and BO objects. Also we are planning to upgrade the database to 10gR2 to attain stability, better performance and overcome current headaches.
    We cannot upgrade the database to 11g as the BO is at a version 6.5 which isn't compatible with Oracle 11g. And Client cannot afford to upgrade anything else other than the database.
    So, my role is very vital in providing a perfect solution towards better performance and take a successful migration of Oracle Database from one host to another (similar platform and OS) in addition to upgrade.
    I have till now thought of the following:
    Move the Oracle database and data mart to separate host.
    The host will be the same platform, that is, HP Superdome with HP-UX 32-bit OS (we cannot change to 64-bit as ETL tool doesn't support)
    Install new Oracle database 10g on the new host and move the data to it.
    Exploring all new features of 10gR2 to help data warehouse, that is, SQL MODEL Clause introduction, Parallel processing, Partitioning, Data Pump, SPA to study pre and post migrations.
    Also thinking of RAC to provide more better solution as our main motive is to show a tremendous performance enhancement.
    I need all your help to prepare a good road map for my assignment. Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Tapan

  • Lost ability to SSH & Ping without changing configuration

    Howdy - hoping someone with a bigger brain than I can help me figure this out. I had a problem with the recent storms wiping out my ADSL & phone line. The phone co. got my line and connection back up, and I can get outbound connections fine (e.g., email & HTTP work fine) but for some reason after the physical repair to my phone line, I can no longer SSH into my home system through my AEX/1000 box.
    Prior to the line problem, I enjoyed easy SSH connections via port 22 to my home computer. Now, without changing any configuration (and verifying that all configurations are identical to the condition they were in prior to the outage), I can no longer tunnel into my home computer, nor ping the IP (dyndns - it's always worked flawlessly for me).
    And yes, I've rebooted DSL modem, AEX and main SSH server multiple times. Ideas?

    Well, I wouldn't put that past AT&T. But I don't know how to reckon if they are. Their technical support is all but useless except for the most mundane or simple issues. And the amount of time it would take me to work my way through the phone tree to get to someone who could actually answer that question (I've tried before) would make it more feasible to switch ISP's and start from scratch. I thought there might be some issue with the AEX router or port forwarding that I'm missing. But like I said, the only thing that's changed is that I lost the ADSL line for a couple of days.

  • Inbound Deliveries without reference configuration

    All, currently we are creating outbound deliveries (VL01N and VL01NO) to transit materials to our offshore plants, we now have a requirement to switch on inbound deliveries in MM but be visible in RLM. the inbound deliveries we want to create will be similar to VL01NO (Without Reference), i have read a number of postings where the responce is to create a return PO! we don't want to be tied to creating return PO's but do a material transfer and have this visible on our shipment summary in RLM. has anyone got any suggestions on the required configuration for inbound deliveries for RLM?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I dont know whether there is any report for this requirement.
    However, you can restrict if the item should be added without reference or not in OVLK, select your delivery type and select 201 requirement in the field item requirement.
    System will not allow you to enter / add any item that does not refer to sales order.
    Hope you get some inputs
    regards,
    Sagar

  • PS Implementation without COPA

    Hi Gurus,
    Can anybody clarify following queries.....
    1. Can we implement PS Module without COPA Module.
    2. If so, what will be the settlement object in settlement rule. (WBS Settlement)
    Note: We are implementing PS module for Customer Projects and COPA is not in our implementation scope.
    Regards,
    Ganesh Ck

    It is ideal to have PS module along with COPA. However we can implement just the PS module. The only small issue that we would have is settlement of revenues. We need to settle revenue only to revenue GL accounts You have is create appropraite allocation structure:
    1. Create allocation structure
    2. Create 2 assignments "Rev" and "COST"
    3. For source assign all cost related accounts to "COST" and revenue related accounts to "REV"
    4. For settlement, the receiver category can be cost center/wbs element for "COST". The receiver category has to be GL accounts for "REV"

  • Mexico Digital Invoice Implementation without XI.

    Hi All,
    We are in the process of generating Digital invoice for Mexico.
    Is it possible to generate the Digital invoice without the XI system? If possible then what are the hurdles and challenges in achieving this. I did go through the list of Notes mentioned by SAP to implement Digital Signatures for Mexico. But they dont seem to mention about implementing with out XI system.
    Also is there any standard process to generate the XML required for Mexico. Appreciate any clarification for the above queries..
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Navin.

    Hi Naveen,
    Is important to consider three points at the moment of implementin Digital Invoice Mexico:
    Enablement of ODN (official document numbering).
    Enable digital signature in SAP.
    Creation of XML.
    You can perform the first two options withount PI/XI but the only problem will be the generation of XML, that for fiscal purposes is the digital invoice. If you are not using PI/XI you can do that by ABAP, Webmethods or any tool that generates XML.
    If you decide to generate the XML with ABAP, you dont need to use IDOC but is still needed to create an output message that generates the XML instead a smartform or other. This can be sent automatically to customers or to any kind of repository to keep the files for fiscal term.
    The structure of the XML must follows all Mexican requirements acording to Anexo 20 that you can find only in spanish.
    I suggest you to read the attachments on the following note, where you can find the structure and requirements and order of each XML field:
    1318342 - Digital Invoice Mexico IDoc basic type INVOIC02 Extension
    Regarding the standard process to generate XML in SAP, the only information provided by SAP is for PI/XI, so your ABAP team needs to take a look for anexo 20 structure:
    ftp://ftp2.sat.gob.mx/asistencia_servicio_ftp/publicaciones/cfd/Anexo20RMF2010.pdf
    I hope this may help you.
    Regards,
    RP

  • Password recovery for 2960 without loosing configuration

    Hi,
    I don't remember password for Cisco 2960 switch, now i want to recover the password. I have checked few documents but would like to know few things before following these steps.
    1. Is password recovery procedure for Cisco 2960 switch is different from normal ctr+break then change the register method? As i am more confident of doing this procedure than  using mode button and then renaming the configuration file.
    2. If i follow below procedure then hope it won't erase the configuration including vlans information.?
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11756896/cisco-switch-29603560-password-recovery-and-factory-default-mode-button
    3. Pressing mode button is an alternate to using ctrl+break sequence? and long pressing of mode button does't effect anything.
    4. Restarting the switch after pressing mode button (without making any changes) will go back to previous configuration (working condition).
    Thanks.

    1. Is password recovery procedure for Cisco 2960 switch is different from normal ctr+break then change the register method? As i am more confident of doing this procedure than using mode button and then renaming the configuration file.
    Password recovery for switches, like the Catalyst 2K and 3K, are far more simpler.    Read this:  Cisco Catalyst Fixed Configuration Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches
    2. If i follow below procedure then hope it won't erase the configuration including vlans information.?
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11756896/cisco-switch-29603560-password-recovery-and-factory-default-mode-button
    I've posted a link above.  I'd recommend you read that one.  The link you've posted is about someone who wants to make a simple procedure look complicated.
    3. Pressing mode button is an alternate to using ctrl+break sequence? and long pressing of mode button does't effect anything.
    Correct.  Get your mindset out of the password recovery of routers.  When you are dealing with some models of switches, it's the "Mode" button.  There are no "Mode" buttons in routers, hence, the Ctrl+Break key is required.
    4. Restarting the switch after pressing mode button (without making any changes) will go back to previous configuration (working condition).
    If you did NOT rename the configuration file, yes, the switch will reboot and load the existing configuration file.
    If you renamed the configuration file, the switch will reboot.  Finding no configuration file, the switch will load the factory defaulted configuration.
