RF prediction for AP

Hi all,
I'm testing Cisco Prime with MSE for monitoring wireless clients in my infrastructure. I have a building with two floor, and I assign the APs to the floors. Seeing the RF prediction, I can't see the RF signal propagation of an AP on the first floor to the second one.
Is it possible to do it?
Thanks

If you have a client that Simon the 1st floor and associated to an AP on the 2nd floor, the client will show up on the 2nd floor. This is normal as how would the WLC or Prime know that info? When you have a normal install you would typically have more APs, so the percentage of a client to associate to an Ap in an adjacent floor is much less. This is why a good site survey is key.
Hope this helps you understand what you are seeing.

  • PS+ Predictions for July 2015

I have already predicted Black Flag in the existing PS+ July guess thread. http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PS-Plus/PlayStation-Plus-July-2015-Guess-Thread/td-p/23329896

It is that time of the month again. What are your predictions for July PS+? I know we wont be getting the plus store update until the 8th July. Due to the US store update falling on the 30th. With it being the update after E3 and also the 5th anniversary of PS+ I think we will get a AAA title. My predictions: PS4Killzone ShadowfallRocket League (I doubt it but I can hope)Nighogg (Cross buy) PS3Gran Turismo 6Nighogg (Cross buy) VitaFinal Fantasy X/X-2Nighogg (Cross buy) that is my guess anyhow.

  • MAIL DOESN'T QUIT: prediction for more trouble?

    Hello,
I read another tread about the topic and followed some instructions as to rebuilt each of my mailboxes, including all the Trash and Send and Junk folders of all my accounts.
After doing all this Mail still doesn't quit without having to Force quit it. Is that problem the prediction for more important problems in the future? I need to resolve this. I just started using Mail a month ago.
The database I imported contained around three thousand emails, which I am now planning to clean up as the software doesn't crash on me like my previous email client Microsoft Entourage used to (did not support mailboxes over 2GB heavy, so this is why I use Mail now because it can manage emails better).
Please experts, bring us your expertise! Thank you for your reply.

    Richard,
I located the bundle files and deleted the folder with the httpMail plug-in functions in it. I quit mail, it would not quit, I forced quit it.
I then tested and wrote myself a couple of emails, send them, received them (hey hey, another of my problems is apparently solved here: posted another tread regarding Mail not sending my emails), just to see if Mail could perform some operations after deleting the bundles. I then hit Apple Q and, Magic!
Mail now QUITS without Force quitting it. Wonderful. Hopefully problem won't come back as my email sending does at times...really strange. Moody Mail: just works when he feels like it!
    Thanks again Richard,

  • Error in Acrobat 9.0 when using png prediction for flatedecode filter

    Hi,
I am creating a PDF using png prdiction and Acrobat 9.0 shows the following error: "insufficient data for an image". The same PDF doesn't show error when using Acrobat 7.0 or any other application to view it. A typical code is as following:
    "10 0 obj <</Length 7100038/Filter FlateDecode/DecodeParms<</BitsPerComponenet 8/Colors 4/columns 1103/Rows 1000/Predictor 15>>....etc."
Does anyone have idea what can be the problem & how can I solve it???
    Thanks
    Ilana Keydar

Attached is another PDF which I have added png prediction to the flatedecode
filter of the images in order to get better compression. This file can't be
open at all using Acrobat 9.0, but can be viewed using other PDF tools.
I have also uploaded another PDF to the forum.
I hope you can help me

  • CSM performance predictions for L7

    Hi,
Is there any way to predict the performance of a CSM balancing multiple VIPs/servers with different SLB requirements? For instance, a mix of L4, L7 and DSR?
I've found various papers showing rough estimates of performance for L7 etc., but nothing particularly useful.
Also, I'd be interested in how the performance of the CSM can be monitored for spare capacity. There appears to be resource usage commands in later versions, but I'm not sure what this actually provides and how it can be used to predict spare capacity on the CSM.
    Thanks in advance,
    Tony

there is no way to "predict" the performance.
If you really want to know before deploying, you will need to put your csm config under stress in a lab.
    Information to monitor are
'sho mod csm X tech util'
Check IXP CPU utilisation and available memory.
Also, get a 'sho mod csm X stats' and make sure the number of "Connections Current" is lower than the max 1 million.

  • Predictions for the near Fut

So I'm at work and I'm bored. That being said, here are my thoughts on what will transpire with Creative and Drivers/Software/Hardware over the next several weeks and months. NOTE--no official timelines or news here, just pure bored speculation.?) Stable (WHQL) and optimized drivers WILL appear for both X-Fi and Audigy, but we won't see them until May or even June. Let's face it--the March drivers are a stopgap measure that work for a lot of people, and to expect another major driver release within 3 months of the previous one is optimistic, but not likely IMHO. And frankly, optimized drivers likely won't appear until Fall. 2) The software suite we all know and love will also appear for both X-Fi and Audigy, again probably May/June. UPax has already demonstrated that this can be successfuly ported to Vista, so it must be in the works. 3) Alchemy will be ported to Audigy after leaving BETA. This application has proven to be very successful for every EAX game I've tried it on, and I've seen similar success stories for the majority of other users. I can't imagine that they wouldn't port something so successful to Audigy as well. 4) Dolby/DTS Decoding -- I'm uncertain on this one. Maybe they'll come up with a software solution, but I don't foresee them spending the time and resources to get the hardware decoding to work. 5) The next gen cards will not have hardware acceleration, instead depending on capabilites of modern processors to take the work load. This is how the other guys are currently doing it, and with the problems Creative is having getting their hardware based solutions to work, it's a good bet they'll move to the software model.

I think that the software will come after working drivers come out for the Audigy and X-Fi. Whenever that is, is anyone's guess, but I think that they can get it done in May or so. They could already have had it done, but what's done (or not done, in this case), is done (or not). I also think Alchemy will come to the Audigy, regardless of whether Creative does it or not. The Wine project for Linux has to translate DirectSound calls into something, and they may write a Dsound to OpenAL wrapper at some point, something that is possibly useful on Windows. It wouldn't surprise me if a few enterprising programmers waiting to reap the rewards of advertisement money are working on a Dsound to OpenAL wrapper right now. Third party programmers doing this before Creative is bad for Creative. Creative needs to hurry up and do this, or at least give us a loose timetable. The lack of information is terrible. I think many Audigy users could more patiently wait for better drivers if they could at least use EAX effects. Not doing this is making many of them refuse to buy Creative products. I am one of them. I will not buy anything from Creative until Creative brings forth Alchemy for the Audigy. I don't care how well third party drivers and wrappers work--it's Creative's card, and their responsibility to ensure it works. I think the future sound cards might properly make use of Vista's driver model. If I understand it correctly, you are supposed to write your drivers in such a way that Vista sees the DSP as a seperate piece of hardware from the rest of the card. Vista can then make use of it in its driver model to do hardware audio. I don't think this will mean EAX support, but hardware audio takes some of the load off the CPU, a bonus, I'd say.

  • Spell checking in other languages using Pages for iPad

Does anybody know how to spell check a document in a language other than the primary language? For example the iPad is using English but I want to write a letter in German.
This was simple to do using Pages on the Mac. So far I'm stumped.

Did you actually try this with Pages?  In the past this app had a bug where switching the keyboard did not work, you had to switch the OS language, as was stated earlier in this discussion.  If that is now fixed, that is good to hear.

  • BT Infinity 2 upgrade for business

    Hi
I have BT Infinity at my business premises on a business tarif and it works well. My router (Ive got a Draytek, not one of those nasty old BT ones!) is telling me that my attainable speed is 76Mbps however, when I ring BT and ask to be upgraded, they are saying that we can only get up to 36Mbps.
    Anyone got any clues?
Also, there doesn't seem to be anything on BT's website about businesses upgrading to Infinity 2? Is it something that can be done or not?

  • RF Predictions in WCS

So I am adding access points to WCS 6.0 and I am using a specialty antenna. When I choose other for the antenna type and I enter the dbi of the antenna when I hit save to place the APs it tells me it cannot give em the rf prediction for those APs. How do I get around this other than selecting a cisco antenna?

Therefore, as WCS doesn’t have the detail for the antenna you’re using it can’t perform the prediction, this is a limitation of WCS but it guarantees the accuracy of the coverage prediction.
It also enforces the point of buying Cisco antennas!

  • AIR for iOS: Severe performance drop using "high resolution" published app on retina iPhone

I have created a very simple test app the simply draws a line from the previous to the current mouse/touch position after MOUSE_MOVE is detected. I published the app, stage size 320x480, in both "standard" and "high" resolution using AIR for iOS and added each to two different iPhones, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S. I published again, stage size 640x960 in standard and high resolution and placed on both phones.
    320x640 Flash stage size
    - standard resolution on iPhone 3GS: works as expected, no hitches.
    - high resolution on iPhone 3GS: works as expected
    - standard resolution on iPhone 4S: works as expected
    - high resolution on iPhone 4S: hangs occasionally and predictably for a half second or so once 20-30 points have been added to the drawing. Of the 4 tests at 320x640 this is the only one that displays at high res.
    640x960 Flash stage size
Everything was the same as above. The only test here that diplayed at high res was the high res publish on the iphone 4s as expected. Which showed the same poor performace as above.
Perhaps this has something to do with the upscaled application trying to keep track of mouse position but I'm stumped. Any ideas?

I create an app for kids that draws using MOUSE_MOVE, KidFunKit. It's a retina display high-res app, using AIR 2.6 I got performing issues, after I couple of lines were drawn. Using AIR 3.0, it works nice. Obviously if your frame rate is 60 ... you'll expect lack of performance. You may try Starling Framework based on STAGE3D if you want the most of AS3.

  • BES Multiple Row predictions

I'm using the batch execution service api and I'm receiving results however instead of looking at each line individually it's running the entire file through the experiment at once.  I need it to make a prediction for each row.  It's a CSV
    file.

    Hello,
The BES should make a prediction for each row in the input file which you can see in the output dataset. Are you not seeing this? Note: rows with missing data are NOT scored.
BES does indeed execute the whole file at one, as it's a batch service. It is more efficient to do this. If you wanted a response object for every row, you could use the RRS endpoint, but if it's a large CSV file, you will obtain faster results by reading
    the output file from BES

  • Requirements for Returnable Packaging Logistics (IS-A-RL)

    Hi!
I would like to know what requirements there are for implementing Returnable Packaging Logistics (IS-A-RL). As I understand the information found in http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/1b/369b95703e4d7db68834bfe79753a5/frameset.htm
the only requirements are that the following components get the enhancement pack 4 ve4sions i e
    SAP_APPL 603
    EA-APPL 603
    ECC-DIMP 603
and that business function Industry-Specific SD Enhancement  (EA-ISE) also is activated.
But what about DIMPS? Does this need to be activated as well or is it enough that the correct version is imported to the system?
    Best regards
    /Björn

    Reply from SAP support:
If you are a DIMP customer (switched on the Business Function Set DIMP
with the Business Function DIMP_SDUD) you will have automatically also
the RL function. If you are not a DIMP customer then one prediction for
using the Business Function LOG_MM_RL is, to have the EA-APPL software
layer, another is, to apply the DIMP EhP3 and the DIMP support packages
an then you can switch on the BF LOG_MM_RL.

  • ADVICE NEEDED, JAVA SPORTS PREDICTION / FORECASTING ALGORITHM

    Hi,
I am considering programming a Java Application which predicts sporting results (based on previous results),
Which forecasting algorithms should I use to predict/forecast results of future matches based on previous results? (or how should I go about this task)
Any feedback or ideas are very appreciated.

Any forcasting method whatsoever, is based on examining previous history, assigning relavance to previous event (like the team lost because it was away from home, or they don't play well in the rain) in order to make the prediction.
So you must create a model of what historical events you believe to be important, (this is essentially a free choice on your part) and then you collect that history, assign the relevance to each event, (using whatever relevance you want to attach to each chunk) and then you use what ever algorithm you like to combine the results and make your prediction.
Of course, you model has very litte to do with reality, and depending on how much work you do in designing your model, reality may or may not be related to your model.
So your question about what forcasting method to use is somewhat irrelevant. The real qestion is how much information do you have access to, how much work do you want to do etc.
Consider for example the following: Suppose you had asked the exact same question not about sports teams game outcomes, but rather about the outcomes of a coin flipping. You want to write a Java application that will tell me which way the coin will land, Heads or Tails. What is the right algorithm to use? baysian analysis, time series analysis, etc.
Hopefully, you can see that it just doesn't matter. Since the event is the classical example of an unbiased random event, your predictions will be right half of the time and wrong half of the time. You can use a random number generator to predict heads half of the time and tails half of the time, or you could write a much simpler program and just predict Heads every single time. Simple code and just as good as anything more complicated.
You like to believe that the outcome of a sporting event is NOT a classical random event and that you ought to be able to do a better job at predicting than just guessing. The only way you will know if you can do a better job consists of creating theories about what data might be relevant to improving your guesses, building models based on those theories and seeing if the model does better than random guessing. This is what statisticians do.
The poster that suggested that you use a random number generator is not far from wrong. That was simply proposing the theory that the process is random, not predictable and therfore not worthy of spending time writing extra code. That model completely ignores historical evidence and generates a result and that model is in fact a predictor and will be correct a certain percentage of the time. (of course, a simpler predictor that does nearly the same is to just predict a win every single time, shorter faster code)
In the weather business, where they look at weather patterns and satelite photos, and study the entrails of goats, there is a common simple model. It is good. It is better than random guessing. It is the gold standard of weather predicttion. All other prediction systems are measured against this model. The model is simply this. Predict for tomorrow the weather you see today. If it is raining today predict that it will rain tomorrow. If it is sunny predict sunny.
You are correct on any continuation of previous weather and you miss any change and guess what, continuation is more common than change. This model works so well, and furthermore is so trivial, that anyone that is trying to sell a more complicated model of the weather must first show that the new improved model predicts better than the trivial model, because if it is only that good, forget it.
So my advice to you is do exactly the same for you teams. Just predict that they will do the same as they did last time.
First of all, this is a simple model and easy to implement.
Second it forces you to think about how you get access to historical information and how you can incorporate it into a decision process.
Third it will probably do the same as the weather. Good teams that win will tend to win, loser will tend to lose.
You can get all the other components of this system working allowing this to be a place holder that you can always replace later when you discover the superior predictor, if there is one.
However I will make a prediction. You will have to work pretty hard to do better than this simple algorithm and given that you asked this question you have already indicated that you don't know much about prediction and forecasting algorithms and thus it is unlikely that you will make much headway on this difficult problem.
There is on the other hand a good chance that if you do everything else right, build an nice user interface, and make your code easy and fun to use, someone will come along with some suggestions about how you could improve your predictions and then the statistical model building fun can begin. Just make them first prove that their more complicated predictor works better than the gold standard, "What happened today will happen tomorrow"
    Enjoy

    Hi Kurt,
In Accenture, I am also working on "predictive maintenance systems". To be able to make a more realistic design I want to use a real dataset. I would appreciate it if you could share the dataset also with me.
