RF Txn. Old Matnr question(Urgent)

Hi Guys.
I have a question for you all.many standard RF txns use material number.if i am going to use an old material number is there a way to convert this into the new one using some user exit and then proceed.i am not sure if the guys will scan the old or new one.so i need to take care of both for a smooth txn processing.please help
thanks

Sanket:
I believe you are using SAP Standard RF Txns LM**.
If you want to do this with a RF User Exit, then there is a lot of work around.
When you are ready to do the user exit, there is no Conversion Routine Function Module that exists to do this. But you can use the FM "GET_MATERIAL_ID" by supplying the Old Matnr OR Read from MARA.
Pl refer to
Using exits with SAPConsole
For details pl refer to the SAP Documentation under LES>>>Warehouse Management>>>Mobile Data Entry>>>User Exits.

  • I am having trouble answering my old security questions for my itunes account and it is creating a problem because I am not able to purchase apps/songs on my new IPAD. What phone number/email adress should I call to get a quick response to my issue?

I have recently bought an IPAD 2 for my girlfriend and have encountered a problem with purchasing apps through my itunes account. It is requesting that I not only enter my pasword (which I know) but answer my old account questions, which I have forgotten the answers to. It had since locked me out of changing my questions for eight hours. Is there any number I can call to prove that I am the real owner of my itunes account so my girlfriend will be able to use her ipad to purchase new apps without having to go through the trouble of using one of my other apple devices? Random information: I believe my questions were set back in 2007 when I purchased my first ipod nano, since then I have used this same itunes account for my own ipod touch and ipad 2 and my girlfriends iphone 1st generation. I have never run into a problem regarding my questions before on any of these devices

hi there...i forgot my security questions how can i reset it because everytime i try to reset it it always ask me my old security questions...

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • 6100 Old Timer Questions

Hi All, I still am really liking my old 6100. Theres a number of factors making this the best phone for me. Small, light, PC sync, email, buoyant spares market to name a few.
I have some info on firmware revisions and also note that phones have a hardware revision.
Mine is a 2003 with fw:5.16 - I know that there is at least a fw:6.01 and I _think_ these where last made in 2006. The latest firmware appears to be 6.31 released in early 2006.
Does anyone know about the hardware revisions? I would be interested in getting dates etc. I missed out on an 2006 version (ebay) but am still searching. What effect would getting the latest revision of fw have and is it worth updating on an 2003 version phone or should I wait until I can source a later phone.
btw: I have car kit, desk stands and hands free so you wont convince me to chance models.

    Hi cpcnw,
I am surprised there's another crazy man like me who still uses old 6100. I fully understand why, have it too and if it has it bluetooth and woudnt be broken I'd use it forever. I bought 6300 and I'd like to move content from 6100 to 6300 but unfortunately latest PC Suite does not recognise phone/SIM memory.
Do you by any change have original version of PC Suite CD which was attached to 6100 in box? I simply cannot find mine and as I remember original PC Suite recognized phone and SIM memory.
To your question... never heard about HW revision but I expect if there is any it needs to backward compatible.
Thank you very much for help.

  • Old user, questions for new forums

the last time that i needed to DL extensions was right after
the macromedia/adobe merger. being a longtime dreamweaver user, i
was very familiar with the exchange and had no problem with it
except that i was a bit slow to browse through. and, also, being a
longtime photoshop user, i was familiar with the adobe
    support/downloads/forums etc. as well.
i have a new computer and am now using dw 8 and am looking
for some dw extensions. the exchange no longer lists information
about the software compatibility of the extensions. so i came to
the forum to look for information. the dw general forum lists
119814 topics, and yet i can only access 2 pages (40 topic).
my next step was to seek out a _forum_ forum. the closest
    thing i found, linked from
    http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/index.html
(which also links to this forum) was under general/forum
comments. i discovered that it required a different log-in
procedure, requiring a first/last name for user, instead of the
email address that this forum requires. well, this turns out to be
defined as a "user to user" forum and
restricted to only that. for example, the faq had a question
regarding downloads (i'm thinking maybe i'll find a link to a
better-functioning dw exchange). but the answer to this
    "faq" was "there are no
downloads in the user to user forum".
i want to be able to get dw extensions and to locate a forum
that addresses this activity. i also want to locate a forum that
discusses the functionality of the support forums in general.
and, possibly, most importantly, i want to be able to access
more than just the 40 most recent postings in a forum that claims
    to have almost 12,000 topics.
    thanks,
    jf

  • Upgrade from old MBP questions; SSD Startup Drive w/HDD Storage Drive?

Hi!  I currently have a 2.4 GHz Core Duo 13" Macbook (old) with 160 Gb HDD and 2 GB of memory/RAM (4 years old in February).  I love the OS and how everything (computer, iPhone, camera, internet, etc) all sync up together and how easy everything is to use; I don't think I could buy another computer that wasnt an Apple.
My laptop is sadly slowly showing signs of sluggishness and the battery life is not doing so well...  also, I am starting to get sick of looking at such a small screen.  I am considering upgrading to a new 15" Macbook Pro but am concerned as to whether or not to upgrade to a SSD (mainly for the lightning fast boot time). With an already steep price tag, I am very reluctant to shell out an extra $550 for a smaller 256 GB (albiet SSD) hard drive.
I have a few questions before I decide to upgrade and am seeking some assistance from a knowledgable community to assist in my decision making...
    1)  In regards to comparing the 13" Dual Core to the 15" Quad Core - is the processor making THAT big of a difference as far as how quick the OS and programs are running?  I had a friend bring this up and although I stated I would like to upgrade to a larger screen, the $$ makes a lot of difference...
    2)  Regarding the SSD's...
         a)  Are they truely worth it?
         b)  Is there a "third-party" vendor where I can purchase a similar sized SSD and upgrade/install myself for less than the $550 Apple is asking for?  (256 GB or larger)
         c)  Does either notebook (13" or 15") have the internal capacity to house a second hard drive to hold the OS and boot programs (SSD Boot/Start-Up Disc)? My thoughts here are to have a large capacity HDD for storage (music files, documents, mail, programs/apps, etc) and much smaller SSD used simply to get a lightning fast boot-up time.
         d)  Is the technology expected to take a turn in the near future (6 months to a year) to either become the standard or greatly reduce cost?  Should I wait?
    3)  What to do with my old Macbook... is there a place to sell it to get cash to cover the cost of the new notebook?  What is the most efficient way of migrating data from the old hard drive into the new?
Your thoughts/speculation/opinion are greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for your responses to help me through this dilemma.
    Thank You,
    Shaun_Levins

    2.
    a) yes, I had an HDD and switched to a 3rd party SSD.  So I am speaking from firsthand experience.
    b) yes, check here: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ as an example.
    c) yes.  you need to remove the optical drive and use something like this: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other+World+Computing/DDAMBS0GB/
    d) who knows?  if you need something now get it, if not wait
    3. try craigslist or eBay.  To get old data from old hdd to new hdd use a cloning program such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper!  you will need an external enclosure for the new hdd..with the new hdd in the external enclosure plug it into  usb port on the new mac, clone the old drive to the new one.  make sure to format the new hdd a mac os extended (journaled).  swap drives.

  • Xml workflow/layout question - urgent

    Hi,
I'm new to the XML scene and have made progress but have the following question.
I have a .xls file that I open in Oxygen (xml editor) and save out a .xml file.
I then import the .xml file into InDesign CS5.
I have tagged the text placeholders and the image placeholders with the appropriate tags (not shown in this screen grab).
I'd like to automatically flow the text data (A-E, J-O) into a text box (on the right side of image), then flow the images (E-I) into the picture boxes on the left side of the page. There is a large amount of data (InDesign pages) so it is important that  I configure this so that all of the content flows automatically  thoughout the InDesign file.
Do the images need to be treated as anchored objects in a text box or is it possible to flow them into picture boxes?
I can manually drag the "product_image" files to the picture boxes but I have yet to figure out how to automatically flow these images into the layout, aside from within the same text box as the rest of the text. Instead of using the anchored object approach, it seems it would be more efficient to flow into picture boxes if possible.
Also, any feedback on how to get this data to flow automically thoughout the InDesign file would be really helpful.
    Thanks so much.
    Josh

    Hi,
It is possibly to flow the images into picture boxes without treating them as anchored objects.Appropriately tagging the placeholders for graphics and text and then importing the XML file would allow the data (both text and images) to flow automatically into the respective tagged frames.

  • HT5312 I have recently made a new Apple ID account, but the problem is my old security questions transferred onto my newer account, any advise?

Please help I have no idea what I need to do xx

That wouldn't be possible, the new Apple ID would have no idea about the old Apple ID. It's also a bad idea to create a new Apple ID. Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

  • Good old EJBException question...

I've trawled through this forum for a good explanation of EJBException versus RemoteException. I've not found anything I consider particularly intuitive. In fact, I've been amazed by some of the confusion that seems to exist about this, with some people responding with answers that are simply wrong.
So, for my own enlightenment and hopefully the other people who've asked this question - could someone please give an explanation of when to throw an EJBException, when to throw a RemoteException (if ever) and when to throw another type of Exception?
I'm also interested in what the client is guaranteed to receive in each of these cases and what effect this has on the bean that has thrown it.
And just to keep things good and simple could they try to do it without mentioning "the specification"? I have read the specification but would like to know how it manifests itself in the real world and what is considered "good practice" in this matter.
    Many thanks in advance.

hey kevin, you causing problems again!
you've probably seen this article by now on EJBExcepitons at the serverside.com but here is the link anyway:
    http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-ejbexcept.html
EJB exceptions are mine field but there are a couple solid guidelines that i follow when designing my beans with exceptions:
    1. Application Exceptions ( not descendants of RuntimeException or RemoteException ) are passed back to the client as is to give them the chance to take the appropriate recovery action. So before you leave your business method, you'd better make damned sure that you don't compromise data integrity. If you can't guarantee data integrity do the EJBContext.setRollbackOnly() thing. Which means that as a client you should get into the habit of doing UserTransaction.getStatus().
    2. Runtime Exceptions ( ignore EJBException for now ). I don't catch them but i'm not expecting them, and i don't know what to do with them. Thankfully, the container does (which is to log the exception, throw back RemoteExceptions to remote clients and EJBException to local clients, rollback the transaction and then take the bean instance out of service). So i delegate the handling of runtime exceptions to the container. i do not catch Throwable in my bean methods.
    3. System Exception ( EJBExceptions ). Where possible using EJB standard exceptions such as CreateException and FinderException. If my bean throws a checked exception, i need to gauge whether or not i can recover from it. I can't, i wrap it in an EJBException and throw it out for the container to do its stuff ( log, raise client exception, rollback and die ). Otherwise, i perform clean up in my bean to return my resources to the state they were before i started executing this method and raise the checked exception.
In the article above the author's penultimate section talks about when to use an application exception over a system exception. Its always the client the determines which way your go. For example, what should you do during a create ejb you need to look up some data in the database and an SQLException is raised. Within the create method it is an application exception for sure because the system is not compromised, however, from the clients point of view, the bean cannot be created because key data was missing. Hence, the method should wrap the SQLException in an EJBException and throw it out to make sure the bean is not created. (If fact, the method retry something else and if nothing else works raise the EJBException).
