RFC ABAP help

Question

Hello,
I need to call an RFC FM through a proxy.
I know we can call from any abap code to another system in the landscape.
This case is different.
Webdynpro/abap(WD4A) wizard does not allow it.
It allows calls to local bapi/rfc FMs.
Idea is to generate a proxy using webservice -
   1. i.e publish the rfc FM in system B as webservice
   2. generate a proxy of the remote webservice at system A, where
      WD4A  developemnt is going with se80.
   3. write a wrapper FM for this proxy, then this wrapper func. module
        can bring the structures/table interfaces to the WD4A wizard.
Will it work?
Is there a direct proxy without webservices?
XI xml  message is ruled out as XI is not available now.

To call RFC Function Module through Proxy:
     ->Create RFC at System B,
     ->SE 80 -> BSP Application-> WEB Service Browser
     ->Page With flow Logic
     ->Search HTML
     ->Find your RFC and Click on the WDSL,
Find and copy the URL for the Web service.
At the WDA system
     ->Create  :  enterprise Services
     ->        Create Proxy objects,
           ->  On WDSL source give the URL copied.
                           ->Save and Give the Pre-fix that should come with proxy class,
Go to transaction “lpconfig”   give the necessary configuration for RFC destination.
Now using this proxy class and its method, can call the RFCs of system B from WDA system.
