RFC Adapter not getting data

Hi experts!
I am developing a RFC to File scenario on PI 7.1 EHP1 and ECC 6.0 which is synchronous. Following the Help page Setting Up an RFC Destination for the RFC Adapter I created two destinations. The fist one is a TCP/IP, name RFCDE1COMPANY2, program id BAPI_COMPANY_GETLIST and corresponding gateway host and service I found at SMGW (Parameters). The second one is a Logical with name RFCDE1and reference entry RFCDE1COMPANY2.
At my RFC Sender Adapter I configured the same gateway info and the same program id. After that I tested both destinations and it worked. I created the following report to call the bapi on that destinations::
REPORT ZREP_BAPI_COMPANY_GETLIST.
DATA: company_list TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF BAPI0014_1.
CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_COMPANY_GETLIST'
IN BACKGROUND TASK
DESTINATION 'RFCDE1'
TABLES
COMPANY_LIST = company_list.
COMMIT WORK.
At SXMB_MONI the request message was processed and the output file generated, but it has only the root tag. At moni the inbound message has no data (company data).
I tested the BAPI_COMPANY_GETLIST at SE37 and there are 149 entries. When I executed this same BAPI with RFC target sys configured to my destination, it didn´t show any data and has an exception called SYSTEM_FAILURE. I think probably the error is on RFC destinations but I can´t figure it out what is wrong.

Thank you all for your quick response.
At the TCP/IP Destination there is a button "Unicode Test", according to this test my target system is unicode (character size 2). I changed the option at MDPM&Unicode on that TCP/IP Destination like Madhusudana described. I also selected the checkbutton "Unicode" on sender RFC communication channel.
About the sync/async, I will not use sync async bridge because this scenario can be async. One think that I realized is that when I call my report, I am implicitly calling PI asynchronously and when I call the BAPI directly by the test tool, I am implicitly calling PI synchronously. That is why most part of my tests did not work before.
Now I can see on SXMB_MONI that the scenario worked and the file was generated. But the data are still not being showed on inbound payload. I think something is wrong with my destinations but I can´t figure it out what is.
Ps.: I would prefer to use XI proxies, but this scenario will be configured (not now) on a XI 3.0 with ERP 4.6 C. Now I´m just learning how to handle with RFC Adapter.
Any ideia?

RFC not getting data from XI

hi,
in my scenario, XI is passing the data back to RFC, but in my program where i call the RFC, the data is not received. what could be the issue.
CALL FUNCTION 'ZFFF' DESTINATION 'XI'
TABLES
       INP   = aaa
       OUT1 = bbb
       OUT2 = ccc.
COMMIT WORK.
it was working fine before when i had only OUT1. Later I added OUT2 and then onwards I am not getting data for any of the tables. I have checked in XI, data is being passed out of XI to RFC. No issues in that.
something seems to have gone wrong in the RFC modfication or the RFC call. can anyone please help.

Check the export import parameter declarations & data types in both RFC & XI.
Put a break point in RFC & check whether it is getting triggered.

Want to create RFC FM for Getting data in CRM from R/3

I have made the RFC connection in CRM system , now I want to make RFC FM for getting data from R/3 'MARD' table into CRM, If any one help me how to do this.
From CRM system I will pass Plant & material no to FM and I need Storage location & Storage Bin from R/3 MARD table in CRM.

Dear Bobby,
You would create a FM in SE37 select 'Remote Enabled Module' radio-button in attributes tab of Function Builder.
Select matnr werks LGORT LGPBE
           from MARD
           into ET_MARD
           where matnr = i_matnr
           and werks = i_werks.
Note:
matnr is material number
werks is plant
LGORT is storage location
LGPBE is storage bin

Not getting data in Dimension

i am craeating a dimension and i did the mapping also.i get the data in that dimension table.But i am not able to get the data in the Dimesion (i.e When i right click on the dimesion which i have created,there one option is called Data Viewer,from that i am not getting data)

also write a break-point statement just before the if statement and check in the debugging mode if it i_mseg table has some values or not...

Can not get data from database

hi all,
 there is a problem , when i write like below :
SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
 WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs
 AND hkont = p_hkont.
p_bukrs , p_hkont are all on the selection screen , and p_bukrs = 1200 another is eq blank. i can not find any data , but with the same condition i can find some data in database , when i debeg i found that p_hkont is initial.
 when i write like this :
SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
 WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs .
this time i can find the data like the database.
 so , does someone know where the problem is , why i can not get data ?

if u r using bukrs and hkont as parameters in selection screen then
SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs
AND hkont = p_hkont.
this will work.
if u r using then as select-option then the above does n't work.
bcoz select-options work as internal table bcoz of that u have use the query like this
SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
WHERE bukrs IN p_bukrs
AND hkont IN p_hkont.

Not getting data for 1 field in ODS

Hi BW Experts,
I am loading the data from R/3 to BW.I have loaded the data through PSA.The data is available in New data field. After activating the ODS, for 1 field the data is not uploaded and in the report, the values are not displaying.
I have checked the Transformations also. it is mapped correctly.But still i am not getting data for that field.

   Yes I can see the data in PSA
3. After load, are you able to see the value in New table?
   Yes i can able to see the data in New data table
4. Anywhere, are you doing the SORTING of Data Package?
   No I have not sorted the data Package.I have not written any coding on this

Not getting data for Null Records.

I am trying to fetch the records where sczuo values are NULL .
DATA : BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE makz.
DATA : END OF itab.
SELECT * FROM makz INTO TABLE itab WHERE sczuo IS NULL.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
LOOP AT itab.
WRITE : /3 itab-matnr , 20 itab-sczuo.
ENDLOOP.
ENDIF.
I did not getting data any data .But if i write select statement like this
SELECT * FROM makz INTO TABLE itab WHERE sczuo = ' '.
This select statement returns the correct data.
why my first select statement is not working ? how can i use IS NULL?

Hi,
When we insert a new field to an existing table, NULL values are automatically inserted into the new field by the system for all existing records. However NULL and SPACE are not the same.
The logical expression SQL condition is either "true, false, or unknown". The expression is UNKNOWN if one of the columns involved in the database contains a NULL value and such records could be retrieved by using u201CIS NULLu201D instead of SPACE.
Please note that the NULL value is inserted only for the existing records, by the time the new field is being inserted. For all new records, SPACE or the initial (default) value is inserted.
If the new field is inserted by checking the checkbox u201Cinitial valuesu201D, then the initial values (SPACE in case of characters) are automatically inserted and not the NULL values.

Not Getting Data to PSA

Hi Experts,
i am facing the below critical issue.
i have enhanced 2 fields, item start date and end date to crm data source 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS _I Data Source.
while checking data from RSA3 i have got data for those 2 fields(item start date and end date) in CRM System, but while running Infopackage i am not getting data of those 2 fields to BI PSA table.
i got data from RSA3 in CRM Quality and Production Systems and not getting data in Quality and Production BI Systems at PSA level.
But i am getting data in RSA3 in CRM development system and BI Development system at PSA level.
Means i am facing issue only at Quality and Production BI Systems at PSA level.

but only these 2 fields are not getting data to BI PSA level in Quality and productions systems.

Hi,
The select command is the most fundamental function of writing ABAP programs allowing the retrieval of data from SAP database tables.
Try filling the 3rd internal table with Loop ... Endloop.
Loop at t_tcurr.
Read table t_rabr with key field1 = t_tcurr-field1.
If sy-subrc = 0.
Move t_tcurr-field1 = itab_final-field1.
Move t_tcurr-field2 = itab_final-field2.
Move t_rabr -field3 = itab_final-field3.
Move t_rabr -field4 = itab_final-field4.
Append itab_final.
Endloop.

Simple solution. Get a real internet service and not a cell phone internet connection service it was never meant to be used as the primary internet service
And how do you lose a home and job and be sued as you claim. What over 10 Gb of data? Give me a break

RFC does not get the updated data

Hi Experts,
I am not getting the updated data via RFCs.
The scenario is like this.
Step 1: I open the Application running on System "B".
Step 2: I add a record in second Application which is on system "A".
Now I want the same data to be reflected on Application running on System "B" on some event.
I observed the data is never reflected in Application running on System "B", but when I refresh the page of this Application, I get the updatred data. Do you have any clues why this is happening.

RFC receiver adapter not getting timed out

Hello Everyone,
I have a scenario like this:
Web-Service --> PI -->RFC (using receiver RFC channel)-->Response back to PI from RFC --> response back to Web-Service
This RFC is taking more than 5 minutes to give response back to PI but still I am not getting timeout in PI.
xiadapter.inbound.timeout.default is set to default value 180000.
Is there any other place where I should check for setting timeout like 10 seconds for rfc receiver channel?

Dear Satarupa,
You need to set ICM timeouts at Integration Engine level.
So go to SXMB_ADM and clic on Specific configuration. Edit table and set parameter as follow:
Category = RUNTIME.
Parameters = HTTP_TIMEOUT.
Current Value = [segs] depens your needs.
If you hasn't this parameter in SXMB_ADM set this parameter yourself.

Its not compulsory but its good to wrap it as Z object.
Well if you are facing problem with SOAP data. Then try to do one thing. Check with the data you received from SOAP message. If this works
Then try to check in mapping is it passing the data correctly or not. With this check with the user authorization PIAPPLUSER. if its having less authorizations to execute this BAPI in ECC

RFC Adapter : JCO_ERROR_CONVERSION : Unparseable date

We are working with RFC Adapter .
We are getting the following error in RWB -->
Component Monitoring --> Adapter Engine --> RFC

Hi,
In which format the date is passed from XI?
If, it is of type Java Date there will be No conversion issue else if the it of Type String then the date should be in the format YYYYMMDD.

RFC Adapter not Call

Hello Friends,
I am working on XI 2.0
My Scenario is
IDOC --> XI --> RFC Adapter --> R/3 System
I am configuring the RFC adapter for the SAP system.
But when I am able to try to call using the Integration Engine its not call the RFC adapter.
I define the end point as
RFC Adapter
(X) Load Balancing Deactivated
Application Server -- <host name>
System Number -- 00
When I run the scenario it show me in the sm58 transaction as
Connection Close (no Data)
And in the SXMB_MONI Transaction it shows
A. Status as Green Flag means Message schedule on outbound side.
So can you please identify and suggest me the solution or what else configuration is required.

try to register all queues in SXMB_ADM -> Manage queues.
I think that should help you solve the issue.
