RFC Authorization to run Solution Documentation Assistant

New to Solution Manager. While trying to run SolDocA for tcodes and custom programs against production I am getting the RFC error "No authorization to log on as a trusted system".   I am trying to find out what is the minimum authorization I should ask for ? Any feed back is really appreciated.
Thanks

  • Excluding some objects Solution Documentation Assistant Analysis

Is there a way to exclude certain objects ( transaction codes/programs etc .. for example SE* ) while running an Analysis in SolDocA ?   We have numerous Informatica generated objects that need to go into this exclusion list. The intention is that these objects wont appear in the Analysis report. The names of these objects are like ZDW####.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Rony,
The Solution Documentation Assistant(SDA) Analysis is based on an Analysis Project which has been created e.g. from a Solution Manager project. Assuming that your transactions etc. for which you won't perform an Analysis for are assigned only to certain business processes or scenarios, you might exclude these structures and sub-structures during the creation of an Analysis Project. With regards to the report you can exclude such objects for the structure results as described above. As the report contains also objects from the Analysis Summary, you would need to remove the whole section or the few tables or the entries you don't want to have in manually from a copy of the report. In case you want to have a list without such objects from a summary table you might use filter functions before doing the export of the table.

  • Solution Documentation Assistant: RBPD

RBPD (Reverse Business Process Documentation) - Is this possibly only with Solman 7.1 or can this be performed using Solman 7.0 as well?
Does anyone have a "How-to" on this function using Solution Documentation Assistant?
Any inputs, documentation, materials, etc. is highly appreciated.
    Thank you

I have repeatedly been told that using Solman 7.0 a BPH (with tcodes and img objects mapped) can be created using workload data from EWA.  Is this true?
Yes, plz see my response below
Now assume that there is no Template/Implementation project in the Solman 7.0 system that contains any business process structure. Is this possible?
Here is path for how to go about it:
Even if you do not have an implementation/template project you have some documentation that contains information about what was done to test the implementation? Something like a test script i.e. an Integration Test Script.
Just create some mock project and  select the most revelant business scenario  from the Business Process Repository (a.k.a BPR - The preconfigured out of the box scenario list that SAP delivers with SolMan) that you want to reverse engineer, for example Order to Cash process. Now you must have some scripts with you, that will act as the path to show u what transactions you run in your business process like VA01 , VA02 etc...
As a next step, Now use the BPR and the test script as a starting point to define your project. and then run the SoDoCa to do its analysis for the same project and there will be an option to update your SolMan project within the SoDoCa workcenter. The work is iterative and will require the O2C configurator's assistance at one point, even though you have a test script with you.
Since you use the BPR hte configuration comes out of the box, which explains how SAP attempts to let you reverse engineer.
There will be possible gaps and it will require continuous review eventually, which is part of keeping up the Business process documentation current.
If so, can you direct me to specific documentation? I couldn't find this in the solman-rkt link for 7.0.
I believe the RKT documentation does not have this information and in the ramp up process we were told about this being available in 7.1 with more added functionality.

  • Solution Document Assistant

    Hi,
I want to use RBE(Reverse Business Functionality) in SAP.
I know that Solution Document Assistant in solution manager EHP1.0 is similar like RBE.
I am having Solution manager EHP 1.0 installed.
I am not aware of how to configure solution documentation assistant.
Can anyone guide me with the step by step configuration document??
    Waiting for any help...................
    Regards.
    Chandresh.

    Hi Chandresh,
For utilising Solution Documentation Assistant, don't forget the pre-requisites that I have mentioned in this thread:
    Re: Solution Documentation Assistant Pre-requisites??
To access the Assistant, you need to browse to the WorkCenter.

  • Authentication for BusinessObjects; "no RFC authorization"

    Hi,
I installed BO Edge XI 3.1 and the Integration Kit; in SAP BW we created a user "bobw" to be used by the Integration Kit. I set the connection details in CMC -> Authentication -> SAP at "Entitlement Systems". When I click on the "Role Import" tab I get the following error message: "User BOBW has no RFC authorization for function group SYS".
We set the rights in BW according to the Integration Kit Installation Guide, page 66.
Is this only a missing right or another error?
    Thanks!

    > did you run an authorization trace for the user that is entered in the CMC / entitlement system page ?
Not yet as we have done this once and there were a lot of authorisations to assign. That's why I hoped that the documentation contains the necessary authorisations.

  • Errors of Solution Document Assistant

    Dear experts!
I run Analyses based on Analysis Project 'ZTEST_DEV_00001' in work center "Solution Document Assistant". My project has standard SAP business scenarios in SOLAR01. EWA is adjusted in system SW0.
But on the 3rd step I have errors:
    1. Check steps of type 'Transaction' cannot be performed in the system.
    2. No workload data in EWA service sessions for system 'SW0'
    3. Workload statistics data can not be retrieved directly via RFC 'SM_SW0CLNT208_TMW'
    4. Workload statistics data not available in system SW0
What should I make to get rid of errors?

    Hi Dmitry,
    I have the same problem.
Did you solve this problem at that time? What was the cause of errors?
    Thanks for your answer.

  • RFC problem (CTS with Solution Manager)

    Hi everybody,
I'm configuring a transport landscape with Solman.
For demo purpose I created 3 clients in a Sandbox system (SBX), which should function like a 3-system-landscape. I created a transport domain in Solman (SM1) and added SBX into the domain (SM1 and SBX are not in one transport directory). The transport routes are configured from SBX:810 - SBX:820 - SBX:830. After I distributed the configuration, I can also see routes in SBX.
I also used SOLMAN_SETUP to generate the RFC connections to every client (READ and TMW), also to SBX:000 and SM1:000.
Then I created a Solman Project and wanted to configure the IMG-Project in "System Landscape" tab (so that I can use this project for CTS). But as I tried to create the IMG, I got an error:
    S:No RFC authorization:000  function module SPROJECT_CREATE_NO_DIA_R.
    Message no. No RFC authorization000
Can somebody give me a hint?
Another problem is, I created a customizing request and a workbench request in SBX:810, I can see them in SE09 in SBX, but in SM1 I cannot see them! I also don't understand here...
I'd preciate any help from you!

    Hello Charlie
Seeing all the STMS queus in Solution Manager is no problem. The way we have set it up is that the Solution Manager is the TMS domain controller and all systems are included into the TMS domain of the Solution Manager.
That makes the STMS queues of the managed SAP systems visible in transaction STMS.
About two years ago SAP showed plans for a new layer for CTS called CCTS (central CTS) which would only be available on Solution Manager and it's purpose would be even more features and central transport request management. However CCTS has vanished from the radar. It's no longer mentioned and at SAP TechED 2011 it was nowhere to be found.
Using CHARM the idea is also that person X creates a request which then a developer Y can use to insert objects into. Why? Segregation of duties is the answer. Creating a request is always done in the managed SAP system, using RFC you will jump to SE01 or another respective transaction to create the request.
QGM and CHARM add another layer (control) on top of CTS, that's how you should visualize it. If you look up presentations on CCTS you will be able to visualy see that.
You can read up on CHARM on https://service.sap.com/solutionmanager
There are also interesting SAPPress books available
The customizing option is to be found in SE09 I believe but I'll check tomorrow and update this reply because I'm on my iPad now without SAP system available.
The obligation is then you must have an IMG_Project in your managed SAP system that has been CTS enabled. Creating such an img project is easy, transaction spro_admin, fill in title, save, go to tab transport request (or something) and enable the project for CTS.
    Kind regards

    Hi! Rams,
I think the issue is related to Authentification Issue..Even though u did correctly please check once the below
    1) Check any Typo Erros are there while configuring or giving names in Lookups.
    2) please check Authorizations like ID and PWD and Sufficient Roles
    3) Also please check did u given paramters correctly while doing RFC look up I mean paramers , Binding parameters and RFC channel name and adapter type or Simple type it must be an  adapter
    4) In ID part while configuring Interface determinaition you need to give your RFC look Up name there also..Hence check whether u given or not if yes correctly or not
    5) Also remember one thing if your scenario is correct mostly you can know the result in mapping itself it seems while testing Message mapping and Interface mappings give your RFC look up paramters in the parameters tab present in TEST tab and later in Document tab give Input...and execute it works if it doesn;t works and if there is an issue with RFC you can get there only..ok
Also go through the below document::
I hope this will give u brief idea...
Also check with basis while taking SAP_ALL authorization so that first u ill came to know whether issue is related to authentification or RFC module itself remote enabled and also do SXI_CACHE also ocne to refresh ESR and ID objects..

  • S_RFC,RFC authorization - what names of the RFC objects to be protected(+)?

Good day. I have a WebDynpro component which executes a BAPI in backend.
Which names of the RFC objects to be protected should I enter?
I have entered the following PRGN_G2EE, RFC1, SDIFRUNTIME, SYST, SYSU... But now it says that "User XXX has no RFC authorization for function group RFC2.".
OK, I can add RFC2 but where is the end? Where can I find a minimum required list to run BAPIs?

    Hi
for this question : But now it says that "User XXX has no RFC authorization for function group RFC2."
    1. Before executing the model u can check the logged in your and its role ,based on this credentials only allow to execute .
and for this : Where can I find a minimum required list to run BAPIs
    1. Just a set of authentication to deal with that system in other words All those things to create a JCO connection required to run a BAPI.
(Elaborate this problem. I have written based on some keywords only )
