RFC Destination Test?

Is there FM to Test a RFC Destination?

Hi Ruben,
SM59 is the transaction to test for RFC destination.
Just click on REMOTELOGON button. It will open destination system logon.
The function module <b>/SDF/SL_RFC_GET_CLIENT_REMOTE</b> will determine the RFC destination.
The function module <b>ARFC_DEST_CONFIRM</b> will confirms destionation of RFC.
The function module <b>RFC_CHECK_DESTINATION</b> will check the destionation of RFC.
Thanks,
Vinay

  • File to IDOC Scenario - Doubt in RFC Destination

    Hi all,
I m working on a File - IDOC Scenario. I got a IDX1 error Also when I try to import IDOC in IDX2, I got I:000 error message(No more information was given) . When I checked the RFC destination, Test Connection works fine. But Remote Logon didnt work, since the target system is not a Trusted System
Is it necessary to make the Target System, a Trusted System ? (For enabling Remote Logon)

    Hi ,
There might be some problem with the R3 user that u r using...
For some versions of R3 it is required that the password be in CAPS for making an RFC connection...
I knw this sounds weird but even i had this problem....
Also chk if the XI user has RFC priviliges..

  • Scaling your Mapped BW RFC destination to the APS DF Service

    Hello Semantic People!
If you are creating a UNX universe connecting to BW through the IDT and you have manually mapped your RFC destination to an Adaptive Processing Server Data Federation Service then you might be interested a new Wiki Page:   RFC Connections Mapping Scalability

  • RFC Adapter (Destination Test)

    Hello,
I made an RFC Destination with with the program ID Rfc2XmbService. But when i want to test the connection ja have this result.
"Program Rfc2XmbService no registered". What does it means?
    Thanks a lot,
    Enrique.

It means that the program Rfc2XmbService is not registered. You can register the program in J2EE administration. THis is something that that BASIS team can help with.

  • RFC destination BW could not be created in the source system R3073

I'm creating a source system for our BW (version 7.0) dev client.I'm linking it to our R/3 4.7 QA client. From RSA1 I select create source system, I enter the system information and in the next screen I'm prompted to log on as system administrator. I'm in QA now and the system automatically crated the RFC connection. I test the connection and it runs ok. I log on to the BW client from QA and it logs on just fine. When I exit the screen I get the following message:
RFC destination BW could not be created in the source system message number R3073
Why is this happening? The connection tests just fine.
I'm using RFCREMOTE user in BW and ALEREMOTE in QA with the same password
    Any ideas?
    thanks

    Hi,
I cannot tell you surely the settings for SCC4 now (I can't connect to my sys).
Nevertheless, create your R3QA RFCDEST manually in your BWDEV with SM59.
Create your BWDEV RFCDEST manually in your BWQA .
Perform test and authorization test within SM59 from both sys.
When creating the source system in BW the system will detect the RFC and ask you if you want to use it; accept an proceed the the rest of the procedure.
    hope this helps...

  • RFC destination Could not be SPecified for Logical System

    Hello there
i am traying to costomize Transaction Luancher for some of the report which is been devloped in ECC (wich is ARD 100)
when  on Transaction launcher Wizard--> techincal
i am  having a  logical system as ARD100(my r.3 system where report is devloped and which is connected to CRM )
while chosing the OBJ.TYpe :   and Method:
it says shows three erroe :
    1) RFC destination could not be specified  for the logical system ARD100
    2) Object type and Method is not available
i have checked RFC  , in  SM59 entriesu2026u2026 There is an RFC named ARD100 and the connection test works. I also did an authorization test and it also works. I also checked to make sure the logical system name ARD100 exists
could you please help me to resolved the same
    Regards
    Rajiv

    Hi Rajeev,
In a system landscape it's important and necessary to use the logical system names consistently throughout all systems!
Therefore please make sure, that you always use the same name for a logical system in all systems (CRM and R/3 systems).
The following steps are required before a RFC call is made from the CRM system to the R/3 system :
o  Use transaction SM59 to create an RFC destinations for the remote
           system.
o  Use transaction BD54 to create the logical system.
o  Use transaction BD97 to link the RFC destination created in SM59
with the logical system created in BD54.
    I hope this helps.
    Best Regards
    Gavin

  • Third Party (Garnishment) checks - RFC destination error

We have an issue with our testing of Third Party Garnishment checks.  We have a split system, with our HCM system residing separately from the remaining ECC modules.
We are getting an error in regards to the printing of the checks in A/P.
    The posting is working fine
    the vendor account is cleared
However, It’s not creating a check # or check form.
We can do other check runs in this client fine; it’s just the 3PR runs that cause the error.
The text of the error message is as follows:  An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system HPQCLNT210.
We have exhausted our resources here looking into the RFC connection and the partner profile and we cannot find anything wrong with them.
Can someone offer suggestions on what else we could check?  Thanks so much.

    Hi David,
Did you check below is set-up correctly.
    - Use transaction SM59 to create an RFC destinations for the remote system.
    - Use transaction BD54 to create the logical system.
    - Use transaction BD97 to link the RFC destination created in SM59 with the logical system created in BD54.
Also, check entries in TBLSYSDEST is  filled with correct system name HPQCLNT210. Generally this error occurs when system name is incorrect in TBLSYSDEST.
    Thanks,
    Ameet

  • Creating RFC Destination in SAP R/3

Trying to create an RFC destination in SAP R/3.  Looked at few articles in creating them, but I am getting error while testing.  It says that the "Program" couldn't not be found.  I tried with all options, "Registered in Server Program", "Start on Application Server" etc.,
Is there a place to register a "Program"?  Is this program specific to my XI server?  How should this program be created or registered.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • RFC Destination (ABAP) to use Single Sign on

How do I configure an RFC destination to take the current user-id and connect to the RFC destination system without prompting for logon? (I do not look for a dedicated user-id pwd option - must use the current user's id)
SNC is configured, and when I doubleclick in sap logon pad, I get connected to the corresponding SAP system without the login screen. Specifying the same parameters in the SNC def (SM59 - change destination) doesn't make any difference and returns an RFC error when trying to test.
I have checked SSO links (some) on SAP help site (Do I need to configure the system in SSO2?). From portal and all it works fine. Not sure what specific config is required to connect to ABAP RFC destination to use SSO (or SNC whatever it be) to not throw the login screen.
    Any help?
    Thanks,

i assume you are talking about to ABAP systems.
check this link, you have to set up trust relationship between the systems.

  • RFC Destination not getting connected - IDoc to XI scenario

    Hi Everybody,
I want send an IDoc from R/3 System to Xi, I have created Two logical systems (Sender and Receiver correspondingly) and i have assigned the clients to them.
Once i create RFC destination, i have specified all my technical settings as well as Login/Security settings, once i click, "Remote Log On" it takes me directly to Login page of XI. Please guide me how to solve the problem. If i click Test---> Authorization, it prompts out with an error "Name and Password is incorrect (repeat Logon)", but i have given exact username and password.
I am a fresher to XI.... please give me some documents related to IDoc to XI scenario step by step to [email protected] I would be grateful and appreciate you if u would help me to sort out this problem....
Please give me step by step solutions.... Thanks in Advance...
    Regards/Guru

    Requirements in R3 system:
    1. Create RFC destination pointing to XI in SM59
    2. Create port for XI using we21
    3. create Outbound Entry in partner Profile for XI in we20.
    Requirements in XI system:
    1. Create Technical System pointing to the R3 system.
    2. create Business System pointing to the R3 system.
If you want to send IIDOC out of XI,
    1. SM59 - Create RFC destination
    2. IDX1 - Create port
    3. IDX2 - Import Metadata.
Note:u dont need a IDOC sender adapter or a Sender Agreement to sent a IDOC to XI.

  • RFC destination with CIF application case !

    Hi,
Can someone explain the difference between
Assigning a logical system to a RFC destination  and
u201CAssigning a logical system to a RFC destination with CIF Application case" (there are 4 of them in all as i see - AC, RL, RQ, DG, AC- refers to availability check)
e.g I have 2 entries in the system landscape settings.
    1)     Logical system u2013 RFC destination
    2)     Logical system- application case AC u2013 RFC destination.
Even if I remove the 2nd entry, the relevant APO ATP FMu2019s are called  (just a negative testing to see what goes wrong without application case) but am clueless about this concept of CIF application case. Why such a provision to begin with. The context help says. some transaction need to have synchrious RFC and hence the need but i see the same even without his entry.
    Regards,
    Loknath

    Hello Loknath,
If I understand your query correctly,
1.Assign logical system to RFC destination is OK for you.
2.Assigning the RFC destination to a specific CIF application is used in the following case,
You have a system/service user set up for communicating with the R/3 system thru CIF & this is assigned to the RFC destination assigned to the point no:1
& for debugging purposed you need a dialogue user, so you may assign this dialogue user to a different RFC destination & assign it here in the customizing (Assign RFC to application cases) to the application Debugging..so that while the particulat application is called (Debugging...CIF cockpit...etc)the corresponding settings from the different RFC destinations will be used.
I could not understand your query, where u relate some ATP stuffs with this CIF topic...
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

    Hi,
I need to configure the RFC destination and other technical settings and certainly need help from Basis people. However what inputs we have to give them enabling us to set right configuration. I find different proxy class, RFC destination etc have been set for different object types.
For ex, I want to configure cproject with MM,SD, CO etc
What information as a functional consultant we have to provide to Basis people.
I met with following error in accounting.please tell the path for required settings.
An error occurred when connecting to the accounting system EC6CLNT100
    Message no. DPR_FIN_GECCO001
    Diagnosis
A connection to the Accounting system could not be made. Possible causes are:
    The system is not available
The RFC destination for the Accounting system is incorrectly defined in Customizing.
    System Response
The system could not read data from the Accounting system. The system cannot distribute project data to the Accounting system.
    Procedure
In transaction SM59 check the RFC destination defined for the Accounting system.
Check whether you defined the correct RFC destination for the object type. See Customizing for Collaboration Projects under --> --> .

    HI Prahlad,
Logical system is nothing but participating system in the ALE scenario.
By Using RFC call we can connect to Other system .
In SM59(Def RFC ) we mention Logical sytstem name.
So both should be same .
    1. Creating Logical Systems

o     Assign the STUD_S Logical System to client 800
o     Assign the STUD_R Logical System to client 810
    2. Creating the RFCs
    o     Go to T. Code SM59
    o     Expand R/3 Connections
o     Enter RFC Name as STUD_S
    o     Connection Type as 3
