RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION:     Select one of the installed languages

Hi Experts,
When I try to test the JCO Connection created for ESS.
name : SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics.
I am getting the error message like below:
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION:      Select one of the installed languages
If I try to edit the same,I am getting Null Pointer Exception.
Can anyone help me out to resolve this error?
Regards,
Karthick

Are you using an LDAP as your UME, or are the user records from from R/3 ?
Apparently  (Ive never done it) you used to be able to force a default language by editing this file (back in the EP5 days):
<J2EE root>\WEB-INF\portal\system\properties\prtDefault.properties
Look at the following lines :
This is the default language to be used when none is specified
request.defaultlanguage=en
request.defaultcountry=us
If you prefer to have the same language for all users no matter their user locale, change the lines to this :
This is the default language to be used when none is specified
request.mandatorylanguage=en
request.mandatorycountry=us
I hope this works out for you

  • Select one of the installed languages- Idoc stuck in sm58

    Hi,
    We have observed a strange issue during testing.
    Some interface Idocs going from R/3 system to XI got stuck in sm58 with error
    Select one of the installed languages
    Later it was found that language EN was not specified in RFC destination and in the user profile which was being used in this RFC.
    It was fixed and interface was working fine.
    What  I was not able to understand was why other interfaces were processing Idocs successfully using the same RFC destination?
    regards,
    Anirudh

    Hello,
    Are your other interfaces still using the same RFC destination and port to PI , or do you have differnt? if different that could explain your issue.....

  • Message: "Logon failed. Details: Select one of the installed languages".

    Hi all,
    In Crystal Reports 2008 (version: 12.1.0.892) I want to make a new connection to our SAP ECC system (SAP Table, Cluster or Function). The available SAP systems as defined in my SAP Logon appear and I choose the ECC system. After entry of Client, Username and Password an error message appears:
    "Logon failed. Details: Select one of the installed languages"
    I'm quite sure the system tries to make the login in Dutch and that language is not installed in SAP ECC (just English and German). However, Crystal operates fully in English. Has anyone an idea why the login takes place in Dutch and how the language can be changed at login?
    Thnx in advace,
    Henk.

    Hi Chris,
    I am facing the same problem from Crystal Reports. I tried changing the locale as you instructed, but could not resolve the issue.
    The difference here is, it was working perfect until a week before.
    Appreciate your help on this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Munir

  • SMQ1 in ECC  sysfail (select one of the installed languages)

    Hello Gurus
    in our ECC system we are having sysfail error status  in T code SMQ1 (select one of the installed languages), how to over come this
    inputs are highly appricted

    Hi Sreeram,
    For the faster response you should be more specific. As you mentioned SMQ1 i.e. you are having issue in ECC outbound. You should also mentioned the queue type, i.e. the queue is for BP, material etc... and the error message details, message class, message number.
    Search service marketplace with the details and you should be able to find some oss note.
    Thanks,
    Vikash.

  • Error "Select one of the installed languages"

    Hi guys,
    I'm completely new to WAD. So i'm trying to publish a simple application to see how it works. But when i select "Execute" my browser is opened but the webpage shown is an error 500 saying "Select one of the installed languages".
    I didn't find where i could select a language. I also checked that my browser has English language. But the message seems more to come from SAP side (it's kind of the same you get in SAPLogon.
    Any help would be welcome :-).
    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

    or for internal modeling follow this procedure
    The language settings enable you to set the following parameters for accessing worklists:
    Source language
    Target language
    Translation area
    Another target language in which translations or proposal pool entries can be displayed for reference purposes
    The source and target language settings also apply to your statistics display in transaction SLLS.
    Procedure
    1. Call up transaction SE63.
    2. Choose Utilities u2192Settings.
    3. Select the Languages tab page.
    4. Enter the translation area in which you usually translate. To display a list of available translation areas, use the input help.
    5. Enter source and target languages for the worklists you want to call up.
    6. In the Text Display in Other Language field, enter another target language in which you want to display translations or proposal pool entries when working in the short text editor. Otherwise, you need to select the required target language in a dialog box.
    Result
    These parameters take effect the next time you call up a worklist. You can change them manually if you want to call up a worklist for a target language other than your default target language

  • Forcing the user to select one of the OBIEE prompts?

    Hi All,
    Iam new to OBIEE I have a requirment in which I need to force the user to select one of the selection from prompts in OBIEE eg: you need to select one of the contry either India or America to get the other prompts enable and filter the report?
    Any help is highly appriciated.

    Hi,
    You can set a default value in your first dashboard prompt like 'please select a country' then if the user doesn't select something no result will be returned until he selects a valid value
    Then make the other dashboard prompts constrained.
    Regards

  • Selecting one of the dual processor on Windows

    I looking for a way to programactically select one of the processor on on Dual processor windows machine/
    LabVIEW or CVi works. If dll is availiable that is alos fine.
    I read couple a article in the discussion forum mentioned NI had a LabVIEW exe that does this.
    Can any one point to it
    Sincerely,
    Naresh Kumar Shenkeshi

    Naresh,
    The last topic applies to multiprocessor systems. Assigning certain threads to particular processors is something that must be done through SDK functions, it's NOT in the CVI libraries or LabVIEW. The reasons this functionality isn't included is because it's a very simple SDK call that CVI could not have made any simpler. The SDK function SetThreadIdealProcessor (ThreadId, ProcessNum) can be called to assign ThreadId to a zero based ProcessNum. The ThreadID can be obtained from a CVI call(for e.g) and the number of processors on the machine can be determined from a CVI call to CmtGetNumberOfProcessors. Keep in mind only Windows NT and 2000 support multiprocessors systems.
    More detailed information on all these topics and some additional topics are in
    cluded in the PDF below.
    You can also find more details on SDK at the Microsoft Website: www.msdn.com
    Finally the exe file you're mentionning was probably part of a demo and not available for download.

  • Change the installed language (or keyboard?) for Flash CS6

    Hi
    I installed the entire CS 6 package, and all the apps show the en_GB localization (as they should). Flash, though, is the only one that has a en_US folder. I don't recall having made a choice to that effect, but is there a way to change this now?
    On the surface that's not a big issue, but when I try to customize my keyboard-shortcuts, the system assumes I have a US keyboard (I don't), and there's certain key-combinations that I can't seem to 'type'. Interestingly enough this only applies while I'm defining the keyboard shortcuts – as soon as I close that window, my keyboard (-mapping) is just fine.
    I hope I managed to make myself somewhat clear here.
    Oh, and btw – I'm not a Creative Cloud user, if that matters in this respect – I'm a  Volume-License-holder. Mac OS X 10.8.2, on a MacBook Pro and a MacPro.
    Cheers
    Hans

    Speaking only from the older versions of Flash, you choose the language during the download of Flash (or a Suite) itself. I haven't seen a preference method of changing to a different language. Perhaps your Windows language setting may have an effect, similar to the Strings panel in Flash, where Flash would automatically adapt to the OS language.

  • How to invoke an event when i select one of the items in my JComboBox

    Can any one help me for doing this,i have a combobox in a panel,when i select one item in the combobox some text fields below the combobox need to be disabled,that disabled components vary with the item selected,i try to do this by using event listener but some how i could not get invoke the event,pl some one help me for this,any help would be appreciated.
    Regards.

    The block:
    ivjJComboBox1.addMouseListener(new java.awt.event.MouseAdapter() {
    public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
    ivjJComboBox1_mouseClicked(e);
    usually should be included in your constructor or init method.
    The method:
    void ivjJComboBox1_mouseClicked(MouseEvent e){
    String s = (String)ivjJComboBox1.getSelectedItem();
    System.out.println(s);
    should be outside your constructor or init method.
    So it should be:
    public class yourClassName extends xxxxx implements xxxxx
    public yourClassName (...) {
    ivjJComboBox1.addMouseListener(new java.awt.event.MouseAdapter() {
    public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
    ivjJComboBox1_mouseClicked(e);
    void ivjJComboBox1_mouseClicked(MouseEvent e){
    String s = (String)ivjJComboBox1.getSelectedItem();
    System.out.println(s);
