RFC import error

Hello,
While importing RFC into XI, I got following error.
<b>             **Ready for import**

Import failed with 2 error</b>
I checked for locked objects and found no locked objects. I wonder what is wrong. Please let me know.
Thank you,
Balaji

Balaji,
This object is already imported by "wljizi" but he hasn't activated his change list...hence it is not allowing you to re-imprt same object.
In your IB, Select change list , Pur user name "wljizi" and click on display..
Right click on  change list and select "Transfe" it will transfer it on your id...now you can import / activate new object.

    Hi Sri,
for your problem, you can just refer the thread as mentioned below:
The FM "DD_DOMA_GET" not released for 'remote' calls.
General question:  XI -> older SAP systems?
If you are replicating the data using standard idoc then you can use the standard option avialable transaction name as "MDM_CLNT_EXTR" shipped by SAP itself.
I hope it will help you.

  • CAF - External RFC import error

    Hi,
I am having problems importing an external rfc in my CAF project using 7.11, I enter the single server details and click next, rather than trying to connect it seems to jump straight to the next screen, however when you search for a rfc nothing is returned.
I am confident that the host name and system number is correct because I can use these details in webdynpro to import a rfc model, has anyone had this problem before? Is there any log which nwds produces which may shed light on why it does not seem to connect.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

  • RFC destination error while importing a client request

    Dear Experts,
We are trying to import a Client Export from our Prd system to Development System and we are unable to import the request as it pops up a RFC destination error.
We have checked the RFC in the Dev QAS and PRD related to TMSADM and all of them are working fine
FYI, We are able to release the transports from the development system and it can be moved till qas and prd . So the TMS Configuration is also good.
The data file and co file in the backend of development is the same size as that of the Prd system.
I am really stuck . Kindly suggest a solution . Please find the screenshots while importing
    Regards,
    Suratharajan .S

    Hi Suratha,
Goto STMS->system overview and select the Communication tab.
Maintained the Instance number of the ASD system.
Once you maintained the instance number , you will able to see it in the RFC ASD.DOMAIN_ASD.
Also distribute the configuration after entering the instance number.

  • RFC metadata import error - Couldnu0092t find the branch for version with id

    Hi All,
When re-importing RFC meta-data, system returned following error message   <i>Couldn’t find the branch for version with id = <version id></i>
I am not able to delete the existing (already imported) RFC meta-data.  However, I am able to import the same RFC into a different Software Component.
The error is described in SAP note – 710998, unfortunately, this note only references  XI 2.0
Is there anyway other than these-
    1) Deleting a new SWCV and importing it and then import the RFC and make Release transfer from new SWCV to Old  SWCV. If so, is there any impact on my QA systems and Productions systems during transport.
    2) Deleting the existing SWC and Reimporting from SLD and trying to import the RFC again and redoing all the design
    3) Exporting the current SWC and deleting it and importing the same file and then trying out the RFC import.
These options I just thought as an workaround solutions. Because i am not able to try these, as i don't have any test systems for this. Let me know any suggestions on these.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Moorthy

Yes, the used structures were imported from an old XI system. But I created the mapping new on the PI and put the used externel definitions manually to the mapping. That worked fine but now everytime when saving the mapping this error occurs. Btw both structures are used in other mappings, too, and they can be modified without any problems.
Which jdk version do you mean? Client or server?
    Regards.
    Oliver.

    Dear team,
In my SOAP to RFC scenario, Im facing the error. The is two message mappings in my scenario.
One is between SOAP Req MT and RFC Import str . Second one is b/w RFC.Response and SOAP RESP MT. While Im testing with XMLSPY the request mapping is executed successfully. the RFC executes its functionality successfully in SAP[updating data in atransaction]. The RFC response should be "SUCCESS" or "FAILURE".*Even if we check RFc individually its working fine and giving response as SUCCESS / FAILURE* .
    BUT
In my case I got the below error in MONI in Response message .The INBOUNDMESSAGE(CENTRAL)->Payload contains the below response. So obviously the response mapping failed in XI . Why im getting this error. BUT RFC functionlity working in SAP , but response getting error .

    Hi,
Sounds like a copy/paste issue.  If you copied the ABAP from within the Designer then maybe try either a) open the generated ABAP file in notepad and copy from there, or b) copy the generated ABAP file to the SAP file system and then use the Import functionality in SE38 to import the code into the ABAP editor instead of pasting it.

    Hi,
    Please follow this steps:
Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP and Java Environment
You need to create the following RFC destinations in transaction SM59 (ABAP) and the Visual Administrator (Java):
    u2022 AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
    u2022 AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
    u2022 LCRSAPRFC
    u2022 SAPSLDAPI
Depending on your client settings, it may be necessary to be logged on your SAP Exchange Infrastructure host as SAP system user with the authorization to maintain customizing tables and to release transport orders. Note, that user "SAP*" or "DDIC" does not have these authorizations.
Maintaining the RFC Connections (Transaction SM59)
    1. Log on to your SAP Exchange Infrastructure central instance host.
    2. Call transaction SM59.
    3. Choose Create.
    4. Enter at least the following:
    RFC destination: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
    Connection type: T
    Description: <your description>
    5. Choose ENTER
    6. Choose the tab Technical settings and do the following:
    a. Select Registered Server Program
    b. In the Program ID field, enter: AI_RUNTIME_<SID> where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your Integration Server host. Use uppercase letters only.
    c. Enter Gateway host and Gateway service of your Integration Server host. To find out the required parameters:
    a. On the Integration Server host, call transaction SMGW
    b. Choose Goto u2192 Parameters u2192 Display (see entries for gateway hostname and gateway service)
    7. Choose tab Special Options and select the flag Unicode in the box Character Width in Target System.
    8. Save your settings.
    9. Repeat the steps 3 u2013 8 for the remaining destinations:
    Destination
    Values
    AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
Program ID: AI_DIRECTORY_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host
    LCRSAPRFC
Program ID: LCRSAPRFC_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host.
    SAPSLDAPI
Program ID: SAPSLDAPI_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host.
    10. Leave the transaction SM59 open for later tests.
J2EE Configuration for the Destinations (Visual Administrator)
    1. On your SAP Exchange Infrastructure central instance host, start the J2EE Engine administration tool.
    2. Choose Cluster u2192 Server u2192 Services u2192 JCo RFC Provider
    3. In the section RFC destination, enter exactly the same program ID and gateway options for AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER that you used in the step Maintaining the RFC connection above. Additionally, set the number of processes to 10.
    4. In the section Repository, do the following:
    a. Enter the parameter for the SAP XI host: Application Server, System Number, Client and Language.
    b. For User and Password maintain the login parameters for the user SAPJSF.
    c. Select the flag Unicode.
    6. Choose Set.
    7. Repeat the steps 3 u2013 6 for the remaining destinations:
    Destination
    Values
    AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
    u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
    u2022 Number of processes: 10
    LCRSAPRFC
    u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
    u2022 Number of processes: 3
    SAPSLDAPI
    u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
    u2022 Number of processes: 3
    Testing the RFC Destination
After you have maintained all RFC destinations in both the ABAP and Java environment, you can check all the connections above as follows:
    1. Call transaction SM59 again.
    2. Open your RFC destination.
    3. Choose Test Connection. No error should be displayed.
    This will solve your problem.
    Thanks
    Laxmi Bhushan

    Thanks Ramesh.
I followed the blog. Here are the steps that I did.
    RFC destination:
    1. To create the RFC go to TCODE: SM59  <b>-> Done</b>2. Create new destination of type T (TCP/IP) <b>-> Done</b>
    3. Make sure you select Registered Server Program option before writing your program ID <b>-> Done</b>
    4. Write you program ID (remember it's case-sensitive) <b>-> gave the SID name</b>
    5. In the gateway host and gateway service write the values of your "Application system" - business system (not the XI server) <b>-> Typed the gateway hostname and gateway service "sapgw<instance no>", that I got from SMGW.</b>
But still I face the same problem. It get the following error:

    1. Someone said network problem.  I rebooted, restarted the install and even redo it.
    2.  Another suggestion was to use caps on the password.  Didnt work.
    3.  One suggestion was to update the keydb.xml file.  However, I could find such property name:
    search for the table t_SAPComponent_SAPSystemLogon_SHARED
    then look for <fld name="pPW">, <properties>,
<property name ="GUIENG_USER_INPUT" and set the value
    "GUINEG_TRUE" to "GUIENG_FALSE".
    4. I even used the ddic password 19920706 which is supposed to be the default.
    5. Restarted the instance and applied all the fixes above.

  • FDMEE Import error "No periods were identified for loading data into table 'AIF_EBS_GL_BALANCES_STG'

    Hi,
We are having trouble while importing one ledger 'GERMANY EUR GGAAP'. It works for Dec 2014 but while trying to import data for 2015 it gives an error.
Import error shows " RuntimeError: No periods were identified for loading data into table 'AIF_EBS_GL_BALANCES_STG'."
I tried all Knowledge docs from Oracle support but no luck. Please help us resolving this issue as its occurring in our Production system.
I also checked all period settings under Data Management> Setup> Integration Setup > Global Mapping and Source Mapping and they all look correct.
Also its only happening to one ledger rest all ledgers are working fine without any issues.
    Thanks
