Hi,
File-RFC-File is asysnch to sysnch scenario this scenario can be handled in two ways
1) Using BPM:
/people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit
2) The weblog which is provided to u in this case u need to do the same configuration which is mentioned in the weblog.
If u have not done the configuration then do it and then try.

    Dear all,
    i am configuring a scenario like SOAP->XI->RFC.the third party software send the PM notification  message to R3 via XI and the notification is created in R3.now i am facing the problem that the scenario works fine but i can't monitor the message in the Integration server and the message is also not monitored in the adapter engine.
    appreciate  if anybody can give me some advice.
    P.S.
    some message can be monitored,but the status is system error.the error message lis like below:

    For you to see synchronous messages in Xi, you've got to go
    >sxmb_adm
    >integration engine configuration
    >specific configuration
    >add a new entry
    category : Runtime
    param : logging_sync
    value : 1
    set this settings and you should be able to see messages in sxmb_moni
    How have you configured the RFC adapter?  Have you set the client and login/password?

  • File to RFC scenario - receiver determination problems

    Hi ,
    Im trying to work out a flat file to RFC scenario, and am facing problems in configuring the receiver determination .
    While creating my receiver determination, in the configured receivers, when i click on the F4 help to select service, i do not see the business system that i configured in SLD .
    This system i have configured as an WAS ABAP system and provided all relevant data. I can also import objects from this system into IR, so i dont think i have set it up wrongly. I have also created RFC destination .
    Is there some setting that has to be made that im missing ? Could somebody point out why im not able to see this system in the list of business services available at receiver configuration time ?
    Thanks,
    Joe
    I also cleared the SLD cache by the way.. that didnt work either .

    Thanks a lot for you replies guys , but problems still not solved ;
    1. I looked at the blog given and ive done everything pretty much as given . My problem lies in not finding the business system itself  in the list of services for the configured receiver. How to implement this has not been shown in the blog.
    2. I tried refreshing the cache and checking again, but it still doesnt show me the necessary step.
    SOS !
    I checked in the inbound system , and found that an RFC wasnt created for the XI system . I created that but i still cant see this system as a business system when i try to create the receiver determination . Do i need to recreate the technical system in the landscape to incorporate this change ?
    Any pointers at all ??

    Hi,
    ><i>I ve used RFC itself as message type for http by importing it into external definition. So since both structures are same i omitted both MM and IM</i>
    Should work fine. Can you look into SXMB_MONI and check what the response is? Make sure that the request message is also as expected.

  • File-to-File/RFC scenario with reading filename

    Hi,
    i have a File-to-File/RFC scenario which causes some problems in desining it correctly. Maybe some of you has an idea how to do this.
    Scenario:
    - A file is picked up by a File-Adapter. The files are different: pdf, doc, tiff, jpg, txt, ...
    - The file must now go through a business process (not necessary the file, but i need the filename in the business process).
    - The process has to contact several backend systems (SAP R/3) to collect some data. To achieve this the filename has to be send to this systems.
    - The collected data are send via SOAP to a receiver system
    - The file itself has to be stored in a directory via File-Adapter.
    Here's my problem:
    - Is it possible to transport the binary file content within a message which contains other elements (e.g. filename)?
    - Is it possible to do graphical mappings with such a payload (only 1 to 1)? Or must i use Java Mappings only?
    - How to generate a Message from the sender File Adapter which contains binary file content AND filename? Is this possible with a Module?
    - Is it better to create 2 messages with an adapter module? One with the image the other with the filename. Or is it better to split them later in a Mapping?
    Thanks in advance,
    ms

    If all that you need is the file name, use adapter specific settings in the sender file adapter. Then you can access the file name in mapping runtime in UDFs. If you want to have content of the pdf, jpg etc images, i do not think there are ready modules available except for reading pdfs ( you might have to research on this).
    For look ups etc with R3 systems, you can use the file name that you got from the adapter and store it in mapping fields.

  • Fixed Length of a field in the File-XI-RFC Scenario

    Dear All,
    I am doing one File-XI-RFC scenario in which user is sending me the file with some delivery nos (VBELN) in it and I am sending those all delivery nos to my RFC in R/3.
    Now I want one conition to be put that if any delivery no is of less than 10 characters than that delivery no should not be sent to RFC rest the remaining will be processed to RFC.
    I have put one UDF for this whose code is as follows:
    int len = a.length();
    if  (len == 10)
    int b=1;
    b = (1/len);
    return a;
    But this code is not working. Please guide me how to solve this problem.
    Regards,
    N.Jain

    HI,
    Input is A : Delivery No take all the delivery no in one context.
    for(i=0;i<A.length;i++)
    int b= Integer.parseInt(A<i>); it will remove all the leading zeros if it has any.
    int j=(new Integer(b).toString().length()); count the lenght of the Del no.
    if(j>10)
        result.addValue(A(i));
    else
         result.addValue("null"); will not send anything.

  • XI to RFC Scenario: Runtime error during RFC Call

    Hi,
    I am testing a XI-to-RFC scenario involving BPM. The RFC works perfectly from SE37; but I get 'ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT, Error code 402' when I invoke it from XI. On digging through the problem, it appeared that the calling program produced a short dump at the ABAP end. The code is as follows:
    <b>module %_rfcdia_start output.
        "Do not display screen !
        call 'DY_INVISIBLE_SCREEN'.
        perform remote_function_diastart.

    module %_rfcdia_call output.
        "Do not display screen !

        perform remote_function_diacall.
    endmodule.
    module %_cpic_start.
      if sy-xprog(4) = '%RFC'.
        perform remote_function_call using rfctype_external_cpic.
      else.

      if there is no rollout on the JAVA side which
      rolls both, JAVA and ABAP, we return to the

      in case there was an rollout, the ABAP-C stack is lost
      and we jump direkt to this point
      here we trigger the rollout on this Abap side with
      the following statement
          system-call plugin
                      id 'JAVA' value 'ROLL_OUT'
                      id 'RC'   value rc.

        endif.</b>
    Anybody has any idea why it is happening? Is it a network issue? The dump in ST22 says that 'The program "SAPMSYS1" was terminated manually'. How it is possible to manually abort an automatic call?
    Awaiting reply.
    Regards.

    Hi,
    Probably because of timeout, it is unable to execute the request ..so it is aborted.
    btw, is it a synchronous call ? what is the message size ? the given data to RFC is correct and valid structure ? check the mapping .for this use the data from SXMB_MONI and test it
    Check this blog for timeout errors-

  • Mapping error in file(FCC) to rfc scenario

    Hi,
    i am trying to implement mapping in file (fcc) to rfc scenario. the source file is getting picked up, but the problem is arising during mapping. i am unable to generate the target structure. i am attaching mapping structure as follows
    Source Structure                           Target Structure: RFC
    storesales                                     -POSDW-CREATE_TRANSACTIONS_EXT
         recordset                                      it_transaction
           gmd_site_101                                 item
          gmd_site_102
          gmd_site_103
          gmd_site_104
    here the recorset is mapped to item, and fields of subnode gmd_site_101 is mapped to fields of subnode item. similarly, for the other subnodes. but when testing with xml file, the target field is not getting generated. in FCC parameters, ignorerecordset name is set to "true".
    any help would be very helpful..thanks in advance.
    warm regards,
    kartz

    hi
    You can test the data using payload from SXMB_MONI in message mapping test tool so as you can get to know the reason of failure.
    It would be better if you paste the error you are getting over there.
    Check if you have maintained the namespace in CC or not. it should be same maintained if you have kept namespace in message type.
    Also check in FCC parameters you must have used ignoreRecordsetName = true

  • SOAP to RFC scenario prolem

    Hello Guru's
       Im trying the basic  SOAP TO RFC scenario, in which RFC is SXIDEMO_AIRL_FLIGHT_CHECKAVAIL
    and the out bound interface consists of only basic feilds i.e.
    REQUEST MESSAGE TYPE : AirlineID
                                                 ConnID
                                                 Fldate
    RESPONSE MESSAGE TYPE : Ecnofree
                                                    Bussfree
                                                    Firstfree
    and no fault message type.
    i created the scenario with out any errors, and i defined webservies in ID with the following URL
    http://starxi:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?Channel=:SXI_BS_SOAPRFC_SENDER:SOAP_RFCSENDER
    it is according to the following syntax
    htt://<xi server>:<J2EE Port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<sender business system>:communication channel.
    But im not able to post SOAP request to the xi server. it is saying following error
    "SOAP Request cannot be posted <with url > 403"
    403 is the error code.
    please can anyone help me in overcoming the above problem. and where iam wrong.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi!
    Please check once again reg SOAP URL while generating the WSDL.
    [http://<HOST name:5<Port>00/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<Channel Name>:<Adapter Name>]
    [Re: Using SOAP Sender adapter in PI 7.1]
    1. Check whether your SOAP URL s correct or not which you are giving in the receiver SOAP adapter
    2. Also check you are giving the SOAP action in the receiver SOAP adatper correctly or not.
    3. Finally check the SOAP service is activei or not in SAP>BC>XI-->SOAP in ABAP stack
    4. Since FIle is only for ASYN comm and while using FILE for sync interface you need to pass module paramters in the Sender File CC
    ERROR 403 means::
    This error will be comming mostly in the synch scenarios like SOAP to RFC - SOAP and FIle to RFC--FILE
    when the target system is down or service is inactive.

  • JDBC to RFC  Scenario large data

    Hi,
    I have jdbc to rfc scenario. I have no problem with the small size data (about 10 mb ). if resultset is very large ( about 80 -120 mb ) , i received resultset and proceess it  but when PI try to send these data to RFC it stucks status Scheduled in sxmb_moni , and in rwb is  to be delivered and doesn't send to rfc.
    What can i do ?

    Since you are using JDBC as sender, I would think you query from the sender and resultset is mapped to RFC for the target system. PI  gives optimum performance upto 5 mb message size. YOur message size is pretty big.
    Suggestion:
    A) Make a minor change and do the query to result less records.
    Example: Select Fields from tablename where rownum < 500    and
                   in update statement set flag = true for the read records so that next time you will not reread those old records again and every time you query only for 500 or  300 or your desired number records and keep the  mesg size always constant irrespective of data available.
    Hope that helps.
