Rfc settings

Hi,
I have established an RFC connection through sm59  and my user type of the destination system is communication type.I can able to connect to the destination throgh sm59 without any errors.I am using RFC fm in my report (call fm destination 'p_dest') , when i am running the report its going to logon screen of destination sysstem which should be avoided for my requirement.so what should be done to skip logon screen and which user type has to be given in sm59? Pls guide me!!
Thanks in advance
Archana

Hi,
Destination is case sensitive,so check it and give Exact destination, and provide username and password
in SM59 and also check whether that RFC destination is already available or not.If it is already available and u are trying to create one more RFC destination to the same system this problem will come.
check all these.

Ram.

  • After RFC settings and port maintenance...

    Hi all,
After i have set my RFC settings (using ABAP connections) and setting my port.
My partner profile is still stating that my partner number does not exist...
Why is that so? Do i have to set other configuration?
    Please advice.
    Thanks and regards,
    William Wilstroth

    Hi,
If you are trying to create ALE settings then, after the steps you have performed you also
need to create a Partner Profile,
    Goto TCODE WE20,
create a partner profile under the Partner Type LS
Then based on whether you are configuring for inbound or outbound,
You can add the appropriate Message types under the Parameters table provided.

  • Help regarding adaptive RFC settings

    Hi,
I am trying to make the WD tutorial flight list module work which uses adaptive RFC model...
I am in a bit of confusion as to the all the settings required to be made so that the RFC call works with no errors...
In the visual administrator --> Server --> Services --> SLD Data Supplier
am i supposed to give the login and server details of the SAP R3 system
or of the remote system which connects to the SAP R3 system... Please let me know as this is a big confusion i'm facing currently...

    Hi,
Actually you dont connect Visual Admin directly to R/3,
    But it goes like below.
    1) In visual Admin --> SLD Data Supplier
You specify the connection parameteres with user name & password to connect to the SLD,
give  localhost:50000    (if u are using SLD of local WAS)
give  <RemoteSLDServer>:<port> (if u r using SLD of some remote server)
    2) Now in SLD, you create a technical system, which will be connecting SLD to R/3 system.
    3) Now using above technical System, you define & create Logical System (JCo Connections) in your content Administrator of Web Application Server, on which you will deploy your Dynpro Application.
Hence your application will connect to R/3 function modules using JCO's which will use technical system defined in SLD & which will be connected & authorized by configuration Visual Administrator.
Hope you will get clear idea from above.
    Regards
    Deepak

  • RFC Destination Seetings Problem between R/3 and XI System

    Hi...
In my RFC to File Scenario I cant see the messages in MONI......
When we create RFC destination through SM59.....we will fill gateway host and service
of R/3......Then we Configure the RFC Sender CC and fill same Program ID, Gateway host & service of R/3.
My doubt is,after this should I have to configure SM59 at XI side ???.....
I am getting confused in this RFC Settings between R/3 & XI....Can u explain the flow correctly.....
    Please help me out.....
    Thanks,
    Sudheer.

    Hello Sudheer,
1.Configure the Sender communication channel by giving the programId there,
2.You need to create RFC Destination at Sender R/3 system pointing to PI, there you need to mention the programId, specified in Sender CC,
    3. In RFC destination you need to specify your XI system details for  Host/ServiceName nameand gateway service .
    Note: programId is case sensitive.
No need to create any RFC Destination in XI system.
check the following thread for further clarifications.

  • Why xmii server needs to be restarted if parameter of rfc is changed?

    hi,
I am developing a RFC function module in SAP R/3 which will be called from XMII.Whenever I add any export parameter in the RFC the XMII server needs to be restarted...
I am unable to understand what is restarting of server and why it needs to be restarted ....Please help...
Also i am interested to learn XMII ....How can I start ?

    Hi Sweta,
after you have changed the RFC settings, you have to reset the JCO cache because some values are buffered. You can use the following link:
    MII 11.5:
    MII 12:
Please refer to the following thread for infos for new users:
    [regarding xmii...;
Also have a look at the WIKI where you can find lots of information:

  • SLD Configuration : Error opening an RFC  Connection

    Hi All,
I am working on EP6 SP19 and trying  to configure SLD.
I was trying to check the data collection with the transaction RZ70,and I got the following error:
    Data collected succesfully
    Used RFC Destination: SLD_NUC
RFC call failed: Error opening an RFC Connection
Existing periodic jobs removed, number: 1
    Program scheduled: 20070327
Event controlled job already exists, scheduling not necessary
    I performed the follloewing steps:
    I have imported CRContent.zip succesfully.
I have configured the data supplier bridge with following parameters.
    Update local SLD (sld/active): TRUE
    RFC Gateway:
    Server : <host name of J2EE server>
    Service : <The SAP gateway service port> (here I gave sapgw00)
This gateway service is installed while installing WAS Java.
Please clarify if I can use the same or Do I need to install standalone gateway instance?
I restarted the Data supplier bridge it is running.
I have created RFC destinations through visual administrator with
JCO RFC provider and used the same name for the program id
    in RFC destination of SM59
Once the above steps are done,I am getting the error.(Error opening RFC)
Please give me a clue of wat else do I need to do?
    Regards,

    Hi,
    check the following once.
How to configure the R/3 system as technical system into portal is follows.
U need to add some properties in VA.
    Then only it will works.
U can goto the VA and in SLD data supplier add some properties like this.
    1)HTTP settings: host = poratl host , port=50000 ,user = portal username , pwd=give thepwd.
    2)RFC settings : Gateway host= poratl host and Gatewayservice=sapgw00
3)CIM client generation settings :host and port are the same as above and user and PWD same above
After this u need to check the Cimclicnt and that shows success.
And finally u need to go to the SLD add ur r/3 system properties and and ip address and host name in the host file of ur windows.
and finally add message server host in the services file in ur windows.
Have you checked the JCo destinations And SLD connetions.
If all are correct then u can add the properties in the Application server
Host file add the IP address and alias name
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host
in services file add the <Messageserverhost> 3600/tcp.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services.
    Then it might helps you.
    Thanks,
    Lohi.

  • XI RFC-Sender not registred at SAP Gateway

    Hi XI specialists,
i have configured a rfc-sender within XI using the blog: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/29/configuring-the-sender-rfc-adapter--step-by-step
but in the transacion SMGW in my R/3-System (CRM5.0) there is no program id registred. The RFC-Settings:
    RFC-Sender
    GW-Host = SAP-BusiniessSystem (crmhost01)
    GW-Service = SAP-BusinessSystem-Sysno(sapgw12)
    ProgID = BS_CRM_LISTENER
    Any Ideas ?
In XI-Monitoring: component_monitoring>Adapterengine>communication channel i can not find my new RFC-Sender....
    Thanks.
    Best regards,

    Hi,
Know sounds really silly but please can you give a program id without any underscore in your name and do the test!!!
    Please give IP address:
    GW-Host = SAP-BusiniessSystem (crmhost01)
Q 13: What is the correct value within the field 'Application server service (Gateway)' for sender channels?
A: This value has to be the name of the service port which is running the gateway. Normally this will be a name like sapgwXX, where XX is the system number of the particular system. This value also can be looked up in the gateway monitor. Open transaction SMGW and choose Goto -> Parameters -> Display. Beneath Attributes there will be the entries 'gateway hostname' and 'gateway service'.#
    so is your GW-Service = SAP-BusinessSystem-Sysno(sapgw12) coreect?
From your server name it looks as though the system number is 01.

  • User |TMSADM has no RFC authorization for function group SYST

    Hi All,
When we release any transports we are getting the above error, this is basically due to the fact that implificaiton of complex password parameters, to supress this we had followed the note 761637.
I had regenerated RFCs and reset TMS user, but still no use any ideas?
This is definely not the issue with Authorization as user TMSADM has right profiles.
    Reg,
    VV

    Patch Downloader wrote:Patch Downloader wrote:>
    > ... when I reset my TMSADM user  though it says it was reset, but SU01 for TMSAMD user is intact , it did not change the user type to SYSTEM, it kept as it was before Communication data.
Then the reset is not working (which would be consistent with the note). You can administrate the connections (SM59) and user (SU01) manually now. Try to change the user type in SU01.
    >
    > I did not get the user to test the release , but I am checking in the RFC connection for this RFS desitnatation and it failes with same error.
You stated before that releasing the transport was failing, not the authorization test in SM59.
Note that default system settings for the "Connection Test" only verifies that there are no network gremlins between the servers and the RFC settings, it does not verify that the logon was successfull. The "Authorization Test" on the other hand verifies the authentication was successfull and the authorization to perform the RFC call was checked and successfull.
Most likely, the problem is caused either by the user type AND / OR the password is in fact not correct (or is arriving incorrectly - See SAP Note 1023437).
    Some other suggestions:
    - Check ST22 to see whether more details are available on the error (check source and target destination).
    - Check whether the user doing the release is missing an authorization to use the TMS.
    - Check the value of your system profile parameters auth/rfc_authority_check and rfc/reject_expired_password?
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • RFC Function module Error

    Dear Experts,
I have written simple Remote Function module as like given below.
Before that i did all required RFC settings in SM59 and tested from there.
It is connecting from each other.
    REPORT  ZTEST_RFC                               .
    data: rfc_var1 type i VALUE '10',
          rfc_var2 type i VALUE '599',
          rfc_result type i.
    CALL FUNCTION 'Z_SUM'
      DESTINATION 'dev'
      EXPORTING
        VAR1                  = RFC_VAR1
        VAR2                  = RFC_VAR2
      IMPORTING
        RESULT                = RFC_RESULT
      EXCEPTIONS
        COMMUNICATION_FAILURE = 1
        OTHERS                = 2.
    I am getting sy-subrc eq 1.
Please guide what could be wrong...do we need pass any parameters in FM.
    Thanks
    Cris

    Also To debug a RFC:
You need to make sure that you are able to login in to the system containing the RFC using SM59 with your own login. Now place a break point just before the RFC Fm in your se38 and press F5. now it goes into the RFC .Now you need to place a break point at your RFC FM by specifying your RFC name.
and hit F8 . It goes inside the RFC Func module code.
Try it and let me know.
    Sri

  • Plant Connectivity - RFC Destination

    Hi,
I configured Plant Connectivity 2.0 (V2.0.0.33) according to the following document:
SAP Plant Connectivity 2.0 - Configuration Guide for EWM
On the EWM side one have to create a TCP/IP connection. There is a brief instruction in the EWM help:
Setting Up the Material Flow System > System Settings > 7.
The RFC Client connection test succeeds. The Connection Test in the SCM/EWM system results in error.
There are some ambiguous points in the configuration for me.
PCo Management Console > Destination Systems > RFC Settings > Server Settings
    - Program ID
Should the Program ID be the same as the  name of the TCP/IP Connection?
    - Gateway Service ?
Here I took the sapgwxx which is listed in the error message.
    - Application Server ?
What is meant by Application Server? It is the server where Plant Connectivity is installed? Or is it the SAP server?
    SCM > SM59
The instruction in the MFS System Settings number 7 about the RFC destination doesnt specifies which settings to make here. Also the EWM-MFS-PCo guide doesnt give any detail about that. There is only a hint on page 15 that one can test the connection.
I would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!
    Kind Regards,
    Bahit A.
Edited by: bahitaktas on Jun 8, 2010 2:04 PM

    I solved the problem!
    TCP/IP Settings:
    - Activation Type -> Registered Server Program
    - Registered Server Program > Program ID -> Program ID from PCo
    PCo Settings:
PCo Management Console > Destination Systems > RFC Settings > Server Settings
    - Gateway Service ? Gateway listed in the error details if the TCP/IP connection in sm59 fails
    - Application Server ? Analogous the host listed in the error details ...

  • RFC destination P11TPMREPL does not exist.

    Hi All,
We are having inbound qRFC from CRM system to ECC R/3 Quality system .  The problem which I am facing is all the qRFC from CRM to ECC R/3 going into 'CPICERR' error. The error message say 'RFC destination P11TPMREPL does not exist.' .
We are receiving this error in our Quality system and the 'P11TPMREPL' is the production RFC destination.
I am not getting why the inbound qRFC from CRM to our Quality system is looking for production 'P11TPMREPL ' destination.
Is anyone having idea; what is going wrong and where do I need to for RFC settings.
    Thanks.
    Shilpa

    Sorry,
In my system IDOC got the same problem.
I thought yours also same problem.
There is no queue configuration, since this is a logical queue. There are no separate tables for the individual queues. For an R/3 system, there is only one table for the send queues. All entries for queues of all participating LUWs are stored in the queue table TRFCQOUT.
and also check this table QSENDDEST.
    Thanks

  • RFC Error while configuring SLD

    Hello Forum,
I am getting RFC error as below , while configuring RFC.
Before that I would like to give details about landscape.
    1. I have installed NetWeaver Sneak Preview - JAVA Version on Windows 2000. This I want to make as SLD Server.
I did data transfer using Visual Administration tool on this and Web AS Java, details available when I check the Technical System Browser for this.
I also established the bridge to R/3 4.6C by providing Hostname , sapgw00 - And this server details are also available in the SLD page under Web AS ABAP.
    2. I have R/3 4.6C installed on Unix box
On this , I went to RZ70 and configured, these details are available on SLD page under Web AS ABAP ( previous point)
    3. Now, I have 3rd system installed on UNIX box - details are NetWeaver ( BW 3.5 , J2EE , EP 6.0) . I am trying to do the same steps as done to R/3 4.6c in RZ70 but getting RFC Error as below.
    Collection of SLD data finished
    Data collected successfully
    RFC data prepared
    Used RFC destination: SLD_NUC
RFC call failed: Error opening an RFC connection.
Existing periodic jobs removed. Number: 1
    Program scheduled: 20050917 015300
Event-controlled job already exists; scheduling not necessary.
What need to be done ?????

    Hello Praveen,
The first system (SLD Server) I uninstalled the Sneak Preview and reinstalled.
Also installed SAP Gateway with sys id - 10.
on 3rd system , configured the RZ70 as per your instruction. Now ABAP System is visible in SLD Server under WEB AS ABAP system.
But the 3rd system's WEB AS JAVA is not showing. For this I went to Visual Admin --> Cluster --> Services --> SLD DATA Supplier --> RFC Settings (Tab) Added Gateway host = IP Address of SLD Server. Gateway Service = sapgw10.
saved and did Trigger gate way transfer. It returned Data Transfered Successfully.
But this system is not visible in SLD Server under WEB AS JAVA.
the second parameter I tried with Gateway port = 3310. no use.
Request you to let me know , things to check ????
    Thanks a lot.

  • TDMS RFC Error in system analysis phase

    HI,
We are facing RFC Error in system analsysis phase. While starting Analyze and specify 'From Date'

    Hi,
Check if the RFC connections are working fine from central system to all the other systems.
Apart from transaction SM59, You can also check the RFC destinations using activity "Define RFC Settings" (the first activity in the process tree of your package). The RFCs should be correctly defined and synchronized, all the lights should be green.
Additionally, check that the users are assigned the role SAP_TDMS_USER.

If u wont get any message in XI check once  ur RFC settings in R/3 side with connection type 'H' .
check ur partner profile in WE20,  and port in WE21.
even if u wont get post again.
