when i was checked(test - authorazation) for DV2 and QA2 it shows following error
                          Connection test TMSADMDV2.DOMAIN_DV2
Connection type:    R/3 connection
Cancel               User TMSADM has no RFC authorization for function group SYST .
                          Connection test TMSADMDV2.DOMAIN_DV2
Connection type:    R/3 connection

But FOR PRD IT SHOWS

i get the error message:

this error occurs too if try for example:
ALTER TABLE ITEMNOTA ADD MY_TEST_COLUMN VARCHAR(8)
if i add the column MY_TEST_COLUMN before to drop the view viewMovProduto2, that add works, if i try to add the column MY_EMPRESA i get the message:
[-7057]: View definition contradicts new table definition:VIEWMOVPRODUTO2
then the problem just occurs if i remove the View, anyone know what happens?

Hi,
the vtrace was nice, but did not show the wanted commands. May I assume that you did your drop view ... and afterwards started the dbm to handle the trace? This is not the best idea. Start dbm (which does several things with the kernel which may cause overwriting the trace-area), then do those things you want to trace, then use dbm.
The other option is to increase the trace-area (increase TRACE_PAGES_US), restart the system and do things as you did before.
But in your case no further try of vtrace is needed for the moment. Internally we talked about your topic and think, that in online-mode the statement
check catalog with update
should be done. We have to assume that in your catalog a reference to a table is stored. But this table does not exist any more. In those cases where we had the chance to check in detail we had to find out, that some versions of MaxDB did not throw away all references they should have done (in some cases only, of course). With normal handling of MaxDB this does not hurt. But if you want to throw away that object where the wrong reference is stored in, then such error like yours occurs.

Another question:
You are able to reproduce the problem starting with a really new created database?
Would you mind changing to a newer version (>= 7.6.05) and try again?
If this problem remains (create new database, do some DDL causing this problem) we would be VERY interested in this sequence of commands. But only, if it can be found in 7.6.05 or higher version.

Input system error, the system is being restarted

I get this message "input system error, the system is being restarted" when i press the spacebar when texting. It freezes after every word for about 3 seconds then back to normal. but keeps doing it every time i press speacebar. any help?

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Dear All,
Whenever I run Transaction STMS and select the quality system, It is asking password in order to see the requests.
Whenever I provide the password, then I can see the request numbers but I cannot see the short text maintained for that.
But I can import the request.
Please suggest regarding this.

               AS usual if you want to see the request in your quality system, Tms will
               use TMSSUP@domainname rfc. It will not use TMSADM rfc.
               Check whether that rfc working properly or not.

System error in KM Content

Hi Experts,
I enabled PCD Repository in KM Content. Now it is displaying in KM Content.
When I click on PCD folder, I am getting the system error.

*An exception occurred during program execution*
*Exception Message: com.sap.portal.pcm.admin.PlainFolderConverterPcmAdminBase incompatible with com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.IPcdContext*
*Go back and try again*
Recently we upgraded our portal to SP20. May be this is causing the problem, but I am not sure.

Hi Juan,
The actual bug was with "com.sap.tc.pcd.kmsearchadapter.par" file. There was an inconsistency between SPS 20 and the file.
Basis people can help you to fix this issue.

System error on posting document

Hi,
Since a week we have been experiencing problems when trying to post documents through the SAP BPC WEB funcitonality. When selecting the content library from the web we get a system error. For as far as I can recall nothing has changed in the settings of the application. This is the error message which appears:
System error:
The system has encountered an error and cannot proceed. Please select the back button and try again. If the problem persists, cantact your system administrator.
Job name : http://10.101.10.198/OSoft/Contents/WebContentsList.aspx
Detail : The , character, hexadecimal value 0x2C, cannot begin with a name. Line 8, position 102.
We are running on a Windows 2003 server. SQL 2005 and SAP BPC SP3
Does anyone has a clue?

Thanks for all the help guys. The problem is solved now. It appeared that there were some duplicate values in the table dbo.tblcollabtype which caused the errors.

Just built a new BM3.9.2 server using NW65SP8 into an existing tree. All
timesync and replica's all looking fine.
The server added fine as a VPN Server in iManager. However, further
to creating a C2S Profile (tried Default and new one) as soon as I click
OK to exit C2S config, I get:
System error
A system error occurred
Any ideas guys?
Tried rebooting and DSRepair etc

If you have an old version of iManager, you may have problems
configuring the traffic rules or access rules on BM 3.9sp2. Try more
than one version of iManager (try other servers, try downloading a
Windows version on a PC), and make sure they are patched as far as they
want (need) to go, which is 2.7.3 and a bunch of updated plugins.

RFC communication error

hi guys,
our company has SAP servers in location A which often communicates with servers in location B. recently we moved both DEV and PRD servers to location C from A. the servers from B and C communicates via a VPN link.sequel to this movement we changed the IP configuration of all the systems. presently users in location B can access the PRD server in C but are not able to access the DEV server.
the following error messages appears:
ON PRD
TMS Alert viewer
transport control program tp ended with error code 0212
error:could not access file as supposed
command:SHOWBUFFER PRD PF=
SAPDEV\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOM
while on DEV
message:RFC-communication failure
RFC communication error with system/destination

User access problem :-
You located at location B are not able to access server DEV which is located C
Pls take help from your system administrator for doing below task if you are not aware about output
From location B try to telnet server DEV on port 32<NN> or 36<NN> ( <NN> is your instance no of DEV )
for e.g
from command prompt run the following command
telnet < dev server ip > 32<NN>
check the ouput
How to check the ouput
1 after giving the above command, if you get blank screen it mean ports are open
2 after giving the above command, if you get ouput on screen like " conneting to server < dev server ip > it mean ports are not open
If the ports are not open then inform you network team that port mention aboev should be open for users.
once the ports get open check above step again , if you get the blank screen , then you wil be able to login to SAP
Server to Server Access problem :-
From server DEV to PRD and vice versa check whether you can share the drives .
if yous system team that yor PRD system should be able to to access the share folder sapmnt of server DEV ( SAPDEV )
As well as check server to server port 33<NN> is open or not

I just installed trial version 7.0 ABAP SP12. I started the learning path displayed in SE80, create a table and some class for working with it.
When trying to create a data-element I get the error "RFC system error for destination GTADIR_SERVER". Any hints about what this server is and how to set it up?

This message is not supposed to appear for customers, but it doesn't cause any harm either. You can click through and ignore it.
The message is removed for customers in SP13. Check OSS Note 1063482.

I'm using Sneak Preview SP12 and getting frequently this error, for example when loading some Web Dynpros already in the system, or creating Z tables.
If anyone knows how to solve or the cause please help.
Procedure for solution in message's long text is in german so I don't understand it.

I just patched my system to SP12 as well and suddenly received the same message. After searching this forum I only found you having the same problem. While I understand German, the message is meaningless (tells you to try later again and if problem persists, then ask your system admin). In order to get around this message (after all this missing RFC connection is not critical since after confirming it you can proceed without any problems), I simply created an RFC connection of the name GTADIR_SERVER pointing to my very own NSP system.
Call transaction SM59
Select ABAP connections and hit the create button
Enter GTADIR_SERVER as the RFC connection
Put your system name and system number (like your settings in SAP GUI) in Target Host and System Number fields
On tab Logon&Security provide client/user id/password
Usually I prefer to understand why I need to do what I do. I do not know why we need (i.e. why SAP) call(s) this destination, but my gut feeling tells me it is uncritical the way I got around it. If anyone in this forum can shed some more light on the WHY, this would be great ...

Source system error - RFC connection failed

Hi Gurus,
I have installed ECC6 on my PC but not when i am trying to created the DS its not allowing me its saying appl comp hierarchy for source susyem "T90*" doesnt not exist.
so tried going to source system -> done a check for my source system then i got the following errors
Source system "T90*" is inactive
Entry in outbound table not found
Entry in inbound table not found
Basic type does not exist
Check failed for RFC connection T90CLNT090 ; check destination
can any one tell me how to fix this issue?

Did you run appication component hierarchy in source system(TX-RSA9)
then activate your data source
then replicate in BW system.
Check here for BW connectivity with source system.

RFC system error: Screen output without connection to user

After running transaction SMWP, we nagivate to the "Parameters for object load management" node using the following path:
Runtime Information -> Adapter Status Information -> Parameters in R/3 Backend(s) -> ECC -> Parameters for object load management
Under the node Parameters for object load management, when we double click any of the entries we receive the following error message in the form of a pop-up: RFC system error: Screen output without connection to user.
Has anyone encountered the aforementioned error?

while creating the syncbo you have to give the RFC destination for corresponding Bapi wrappers
so plz check that.
and can you please explain the exact error in detail and add the trace..

Below are the error and steps when i perform Payroll Posting to Accounting. To enable communication between distributed systems, the appropriate method have been specified in ALE Customizing for the objects of the following tables. (Basis -> Application Link Enabling (ALE) -> Modelling and Implementing Business Processes -> Maintain Distribution Model and Distribute Views.)
However, error still exists as shown below:-

Probably because of timeout, it is unable to execute the request ..so it is aborted.
btw, is it a synchronous call ? what is the message size ? the given data to RFC is correct and valid structure ? check the mapping .for this use the data from SXMB_MONI and test it
