RFC to SOAP sync error
Hi All,
I am doing the RFC to SOAP sync scenario. request R3 data is coming to XI and its triggering to SOAP receiver.
Information SOAP: continuing to response message e9598290-a14f-11df-969a-00145e474044
Error SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault
i have tried to test the File to SOAP sync scenario to test the SOAP and its working fine. from file request to soap request and soap response to file response.
the same way i have done the RFC request to soap request and soap response to rfc response.
in sxmi_moni i can see the request from RFC but i did't find the request mapping to SOAP.
I have tested the test mapping and its working fine.

FILE to SOAP Sync scenario....did you use RequestResponseBean and are you using the same to process RFC to SOAP Sync scenario? If yes, then you dont need the RequestResponseBean for RFC <--> SOAP.
in sxmi_moni i can see the request from RFC but i did't find the request mapping to SOAP. I have tested the test mapping

I hope you have included a mapping program for Request Mapping and also for Response Mapping in the Interface/ Operation Mapping and included the same in Interface Determination!

RFC to Soap Sync with attachment
I have an interface RFC u2013 SOAP Sync, PI 7.1 and SAP is R/3, without proxy connection.
The SOAP message returned the value in this format: <return href=u201Dcid:XXXXXXXXXXXu201D >. I think this is an attachment.
Anybody knows how can I read this attachment and return the values back to RFC?
I found some threads here, but sincerely, none helped me. If necessary custom adapter Module, what will be necessary to put in this module? Is there an example?
Best Regards,
MaiconHi,
RFC Adapter does not support attachments.
However you may try this link for soap adapter:

RFC to SOAP Scenarion : Error while communication
Hi Experts,
We are trying RFC to SOAP Scenario. When we trigger the message from RFC we get error as Communication error . when we re-activate the Sender communication channel in PI , the program-ID gets registered and we can trigger the message. This problem we are facing regularly and we have to re-activate the Sender RFC communication channel everytime.
How can we solve this problem.
Regards,
SyedHave you tried increasing the parameter "Maximum Connections"? Is it possible that the same program ID is used for more than one scenarios?

Hi All
I am working on RFC to SOAP Scenorio.
The requirement is RFC will make a querry and all the vendor details will be received in the return table structure of the RFC Function module.
There will be multiple entries in the Return table.
I am getting the sucess message and the number of records is also matching.
But the Data is not getting mapped to the right field in the Return table.
But if i see the SXMB_MONI response message, Data is correctly mapped
Regards
Madhan DYou are getting the right XML from the target and its not getting placed correctly in the return tables.
The only problem can be with the ABAP code/logic which you wrote for assigning and populating the response values into the tables.

Error in Interface Sync RFC-XI-SOAP
Hi,
I have an interface RFC - XI - SOAP Sync.
The error appears only in PRD environment and is intermittent error.
Follow the message error in sxmb_moni:

This looks like a permission error for the user role provided in production. try sending soap request from web client tool and see whether you get the same error.
Check whether you have all the permissions required and also check whether there is WS security in the production environment.

RFC-to-SOAP webservice using HTTPS
Hi experts,
I have a RFC-to-SOAP (sync) and the URL of the webservice is using HTTPS. I'm not the owner of the webservice.
Encountered these errors
- for sender comm :
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: illegal parameter
- receiver comm :
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: illegal parameter: iaik.security.ssl.SSLException: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: illegal parameter
We are not using certificate authentication so I don't think that's the cause.
Have checked that the https is running ok for ABAP but I don't think that got anything to do with the errors. Is there something wrong with SSL setting for J2EE? If yes, how may I check?
Are there some parameters to be set up? In the RFC sender comm & SOAP receiver comm, I do not find any special settings for https.
I have read this link : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/ef2940cbf2195de10000000a1550b0/content.htm. Is it necessary to set the Exchange Profile Parameters? My BASIS colleague is now checking it.
Thanks for reading and will appreciate any advice! Thanks Prateek for the quick reply!
Re HTTPS certificate, do you mean the cert for my XI server or the cert from the web service?
I have tested calling the web service using SOAPUI and it works fine without using the cert given by the web service (which is expired anyway)... -
Hi all,
Please explain RFC to SOAP in Synchronous. but sending is one RFC and Receiving is another RFC. Please explain in detail.
would appreciate your helpful information
ThanksPlease explain RFC to SOAP in Synchronous. but sending is one RFC and Receiving is another RFC.
So you mean to say the RFC that you include in the Request of message interface is RFC1 and that in the Response of the same MI is RFC2?
If the sending Business System (SAP) is the same then this should be like any other RFC to SOAP sync scenario.
You may need to mappings RFC1_to_SOAPReq and SOAPResp_to_RFC2
Develop the MI accordingly with the corresponding Messages included and then include the appropriate mappings in Interface Mapping.

Sych BPM scenario (RFC to SOAP)
Hello
I am using the RFC2SOAP scenario using the process shown below to get alerts.
Receive - Open S/A bridge ( Sync receive)
Transform - Request_Asyn ( Mapping from RFC request to SOAP request)
Sync Send - Call SOAP
Transform - Response Asyn ( Mapping from SOAP response to RFC response)
Send - Close S/A bridge
Switch - Success / Failure
Control - Alert
My question is: How many Receiver detrminations need to be provided. Also, system is not proposing the Abs mapping between RFC and SOAP Sync Messages automatically.
Did any one has implemented this scenario, will this process work ?
Appreciate any help.
Regards
PrasadHi Prasad,
Sync BPM works fine, but i doubt if the below scenario works.
1) I dont think in your Transform the Request/Response be Async. cos all are sync calls. secondly if you open S/A bridge, you are supposed to give Abstract Sync Interface.
2) I doubt the swtich and control step as well, I dont know what msg you would get at that stage, because the 'S/A close' would end the call by sending back the response to Interface (AbsSync as per #1).
Hope this helps,
keep us posted of the outcome of your trials.

SOAP sync to RFC - Multiple lines in the RFC 'input'
Hello everyone!
I need a little 'insight help'/opinion.
I had a cenario that was working just fine, SOAP Async to iDoc. In the cenario I received 1:n lines and send it to the iDoc. No problem at all.
Now, the analyst asked us to change this cenario to: SOAP Sync to RFC (I opposed that but.. it's their decision..)
So, I created a RFC with NO IMPORTING AND EXPORTING and 2 TABLES. One table to receive 1:n lines as inputs of the data, and other table to give 1:n line as response of the process of that line.(the RFC is remote, so can be used by PI)
When I test this RFC in R3 using transaction SE37, I am able to enter 1:n line in the input table, and get the 1:n line in the response table. And also, the data is inserted in my table. Perfect.
When I import and use this RFC in PI, everything seems to be fine during mapping procedures and such, but when I execute the SOAP call, I get an mapping error. I was able to see that:
1 - The Response from the RFC using PI is 'blank'. I mean, the mapping from the response of the RFC to my SOAP is 'null', that's why I´m getting the error mapping.
2 - Tha data WAS NOT inserted into the table using PI. This worries me more.
So, my question is, does PI understand the use of 2 tables (one as 'input' and other as 'output') from the RFC? - the RFC has no importing and exporting, only tables, as I've mentioned.
Also, is this what I am trying to achieve here, possible? I mean, can I expect to use a RFC with multiple line as 'input' or PI only accepts 'parameters' as input?
Thanks for the insight help!
Ricardo Sancio Lóra
Brazilbut when I map anything from the response to my output, I get the mapping error, but if I map something constant it
worked
Did you test the mapping in IR using the Test tab of Interface/ Message mapping? If it is working for Constant and not for runtime (or other) values then it means that the mapping logic is not proper.
But did you see when I say that the item was NOT inserted into the table in R3?
Now the last check-point in XI.....is your RFC channel showing proper payload in RWB --> Component Monitoring --> Adapter Engine --> CC Monitoring?
Regards,
Abhishek. -

Error in SAOP adapter : RFC to SOAP Synch Scenario
Hi Experts,
Scenario is "RFC to SOAP Synch".
For creating this following this link : **************** - Scenario on RFC to SOAP
Trying to send XML to SOAP receiver.
Using Below details for SOAP:
Website : http://www.webservicex.net/WS/WSDetails.aspx?WSID=59&CATID=4
Target URL : http://www.webservicex.net/SendSMS.asmx?WSDL
SOAP Action: http://www.webserviceX.NET/SendSMSToIndia
But when I try to send showing this error:
"Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleException: call to messaging system failed: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: XIAdapterFramework:GENERAL:com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: unable to create a socket".
Any one please suggest how resolve this issue?
Is there any setup necessary in PI server to send message through SOAP?
Thanks,
ArthitaIs there any setup necessary in PI server to send message through SOAP?
No
Solution
Check if there are any firewall rules in place which are restricitng the PI system to connect with the URL
: http://www.webservicex.net/SendSMS.asmx?WSDL
Suggestion
Copy paste this URL in browser and verify if it is accessible

Hi Experts,
I am getting an error while dealing with RFC to SOAP scenario::
soap fault: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: . at System.Web.Services.Protocols.Soap11ServerProtocolHelper.RouteRequest() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapServerProtocol.Initialize() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.ServerProtocol.SetContext(Type type, HttpContext context, HttpRequest request, HttpResponse response) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.ServerProtocolFactory.Create(Type type, HttpContext context, HttpRequest request, HttpResponse response, Boolean& abortProcessing)</SAP:AdditionalText>
<SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
IS it problem from the webserver in sending the response?
Please suggest.
Thanks & Regards,
SushamaHi Suraj,
Thanks for the imputs.
We are given with the webservice by separate team, also I am accessing the application via Citrix. I cant test the WS outside the client network and in client desktop they haven't installed Altova Xml Spy
Request and response both are generated in Moni. It seems problem in receiving response only ?? WS url is also correct.
Regarding Receiver Soap parameters:
I have checked adapter specific identifiers and Variable transport binding.
Please suggest, if this is problem with the WS, I need to check with the team.
Thanks & Regards,

(SOAP sender) --- XI ---- R/3 (RFC receiver) this sync scenario
Hi Experts,
Webservice(SOAP sender) < - > XI <--> R/3 (RFC receiver) this sync scenario tested with Infopath successfully.
I have given partner number, student object id are the two input fields(request) and i am getting student number as response. This scenario is working when i use MS infopath.
I have generated WSDL file embedded with below URL
http://xxxx.yyytec.passh.ed:7271/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:Webservice_Sender_BS:GET_NUMBERS_Sender_CC&version=3.0;amp;Sender.Service=Webservice_Sender_BS;amp;Interface=urn%Apache
Sender business system: Webservice_Sender_BS
Sender CC: GET_NUMBERS_Sender_CC
Msg Interface: STU_GET_NUMBERS_Synch_MI
now we want to test from third party website, what are the things to be provided to the website developer to test the scenario.
the way i generated URL, is it correct?
if i provide above URL and generated WSDL in XI , is it enough for web developer to enter the input fields to RFC(r/3) via XI as webservice request and getting back response from RFC(r/3) to webservice via XI.
can you please advice if any body worked on this kind of scenario.
Thanks
Dhanush. For the developer you have to provide WSDL file so that they know the input/output fields and write the code.
URL is correct.
Other informatino they required is Username and password of you PI system.
