RFC to srm

Hi all,
i am calling RFC FM in SRM from R3..this RFC FM is a ZFM..it contains PRPS-POSID values..so..for conversion of values to SRM i m using CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_OUTPUT in RFC ZFM..but here i am converting each and every POSID values before checking a condition..but my PRPS table contains some lakhs of records..converting CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_OUTPUT every record value is taking much time..can anyone suggest..can i use import and export fields in RFC ZFM??

Yes...u can use import and export feilds in ZFM which is RFC enabled..pls check ur values from SRM to R3 bcoz these values require CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_OUTPUT and CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_INPUT FM to be used...
Do..let me know anything else ur require..

  • Problem in RFC between SRM and XI

he rfc's LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI lets work after to do stopsap and to return to start sap again. The only form that we have found to fix is doing 'stopsap' then 'startpap' and finally 'startsap j2ee' in XI. Somebody know so that it happens it?.
    Thanks and regards

    Hi,
If you assign a WBS element to that particular PO, It should be present in EKKN(Filed Name: PS_PSP_PNR).
Please check that PO is with WBS or costcentre.

    Hi ,
We want to develop a webdynpro application on top of EBP and replicate the shopping cart scenario and create PO's.I wanted to know if SAP provides any BAPI /RFC in SRM to create the shopping carts and PO's from there further on using the shopping cart.I couldnt find any on the system.

    Hi,
Can you please look in SE80 for the package COM_PRODUCT_API , you can have some Remote Enabled Function Modules.

  • Logical Systems & SRM Customizing

    Dear Experts,
I would like to guarantee BDLS won't be executed within our SRM Productive environment. Unfortunately, according to the functional team and because of customizing requirements, it appears logical systems cannot be generic enough to guarantee the process. For instance, the organizational structure refers to <SID>CLNT<MANDT> instead of alias like 'ECC'.
Any advice to ensure to the infrastructure team they will never run BDLS after transports?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ludovic

    Hi,
thanks for your prompt answer. Unfortunately, the issue is a bit more complex.
    1) We have defined a backend RFC in SRM : <DEV>CLNT100
    2) We have define a distribution model in BD64 referencing this RFC connection
    3) We tried to define R3 and SRM as alias within the customizing : "master data/ALE Options/logical sytem", SMOEAC, etc... (refering <DEV>CLNT100)
    4) We have changed the organizational structure PPOMA_BBP in order to reference R3
    5)  Under "Master Data>Determining financial system for product type", we have defined (source = R3 / target = SRM) and so on, and so on...
    6) We have launched the replication and then tried to retrieve products categories from PPOMA_BBP
Unfortunately, there is no existing product type under logical system R3 but under <DEV>CLNT100 and the shopping cart doesn't work => missing logical system
However, when naming the logical system <DEV>CLNT100 (instead of R3), everything is working ...
Unfortunately, when we will transport additional customizing to another system, this customizing will refer <DEV>CLNT100 instead of <PRD>CLNT100.
On site, SRM experts use to launch BDLS after customizing transports in productive systems in order to modify the SID. We cannot afford to launch BDLS in a productive environment which will probably take several hours to run.
    Thanks for your recommandations,
    Sincerly,
    Ludovic

  • RFC adapter...How it handles multiple calls...

    Hi folks
Basic doc'tation on RFC adapter states...qRFC is not supported..Agreed..
I have a scenario where I need to dump lot of transactions from a flat file to an RFC.
I have split the single structure by 1:n mapping(multi) and pushed each message using a Loop(For-each/Par-For-each) to RFC function..
Now question here..Is this a good approach to invoking RFC's(I find response times to be pretty slow on my server upto 20 secs for each RFC call). Cant I parallely execute all the messages by calling the RFC on SRM systems.(PAR for each loop has a limit of 999 loops)..Is there any other option you can  suggest for this scene.?

    chk this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
there is a recommendation on when to use parForEach. From what i understand , parForEach is helpful if u intend to send "One" Message to multiple receiver systems and intend to handle the responses in different context.I beleive it won't help if u send "different" messages to the same receiver system.
One more approach , i can think of is to make a Jco call from your "Message Mapping" itself using User defined functions instead of "configuring an RFC adapter" and "calling it in ccBPM". The below link should help on this.

  • How BBPUPDVD determines vendor master change in ECC?

    Hi Experts,
How is the vendor master change in ECC captured and what is the strategy/check that the BBPUPDVD transaction OR vendor update report uses/does in ECC to pick up the updated vendor with qualified fields for transmission?
Qualified fields -> Purchasing block, curr change, comm method change, etc.
For e.g, if a vendor is blocked for a P.Org today and if we either execute BBPUPDVD OR vendor update job, so how does it determine the change in vendor master in ECC?
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Karthik

    Hello Karthik,
just to complete what wrote Konstantin, those change documents are determined in ECC using CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ function modul inside BBP_SCAN_VD function modul which is called by RFC from SRM (report BBP_VENDOR_SYNC).
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • Purchase order replication – extended classic scenario using XML proxy via PI

    Hi Experts
    Question:
In case of extended classic deployment is it possible to use XML proxy to
transfer SRM purchase orders to ECC? As we know as of SRM 7.01 its via RFC
whether SRM 7.02 onwards does SAP support XML for ECS too?
    Has
anyone read about this in any of the SAP forums?
Background: In our project, client have invested
heavily on XI and XI monitoring and troubleshooting, integrated to SAP SOLMAN.
And would like to opt for XML mode of transfer and reuse existing solution.
This is the main reason we would like to be very clear in our understanding
before we go back to client.
We appreciate your time and support.
    Regards
    Prashanth

    Dear Rahul,
    Thanks for you input
Let me give you an example of the behaviour:
in PPOMA_BBP TOG assigned to user has : DQ with $1000 and upper percentage 5%.
    User orders a PO  with quantity=1000, price $100;
No additional tolerances assigned in the PO itself
User tries to enter confirmation with quantity 1001 (so qty variance converted to currency amount results in $100 over delivery) So the confirmation is under both the 5% and the $1000 limit.
In that case I donu2019t receive an error message from the SRM, but the error message u201CBackend Purchase Order quantity exceeded by 1 EAu201D from ECC still prevents me from posting the Confirmation. And this is the problem I havenu2019t been able to solve so far.
So I want the TOG tolerance to be used. And I am also happy with the absolute limit always having priority over percentage limit...
But I am trying to find a way to get rid of the back end message (with assigning a tolerance to the PO itself as the will get rid of the absolute limit see my previous post.)
    Cheers
    Ulrike

  • Material Group Replication from ECC

    Dear SRMers,
System Landscape : ECC 6.0 and SRM 5.0.
I am doing a material group replication from  ECC to SRM using the DNL_CUST_PROD1 customizing object. Before the replication ECC  was trying to confirm the target RFC destination(SRM) by prompting a logon. I logged in as myself and  the system gave a CALL_FUNCTION_OPEN_ERROR.
I defined the CRM Consumer as SRM in the CRM middleware parameters..
My question is do we need to define the User SRM in SU01 and when ECC tries to confirm the target RFC destination, do we need to login as the SRM User ?
Points will be rewarded for answers.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bob

    Hi,
The RFC user which you define in the SRM RFC detsination has to be obviously as SU01 user in SRM.Also the RFC user need to have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profile attached.See note 642202 for details.

  • Oracle to mySAP integration scenario

    Hi,
I am trying to integrate Oracle running on NT with mySAP SRM running on UNIX using XI 3.0. We would like to update the data from oracle to SRM system.
I have JDBC driver is already installed in XI and have a RFC for SRM system update.
This is what I have completed for synchronous communication so far.
    1. Created a SC in SLD for oracle db with necessary technical and business systems.
    2. Imported SC and completed design of interfaces in IR.
    3. For the sender configured JDBC adapter and RFC for the receiver.
    4. I have a Select statement in the sender JDBC adapter.
I would like to know based on the poll interval in sender channel, will the SRM data gets updated based on these steps ?
    Appreciate your time,
    Steve

    Steve,
your first statement didn't contain anything about domains but anyway.
Normally it should be possible to connect from XI to a JDBC server in another domain if the domains are within the same network.  Just make sure you give the according parameters in your connection string, e.g either the IP address or the fully qualified hostname.

  • TREX for CCM

    Dear Experts,
We have implemented self service procurement and we are planning to implement CCM within the same client.
As i understand that TREX is mandatory for CCM, I required some clarifications from you.
    1) We should maintain seperate client for TREX? or we can use same ccm client?
    2) How do we install TREX component in our server or it 's already exist when we install SRM?
    3) If I go for different client for TREX then what all are the settings i need to maintain for this>
    Thanks for your help
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
For CCM yes you are correct TREX is mandatory
    For your questions:
    1)     Well I assume you have installed TREX somewhere once is installed and you performed the configuration of TREX. TREX will create automatically an RFC in SRM (if you are using CCM in the same client of SRM)  or the CCM client this is how you connect to TREX from your CCM client.
    2)     You need to install TREX it does not come with your CCM/SRM installation this is a standalone NetWeaver component: you can find the guides here under Standalone Engines-> SAP NEtWeaver Search and Classification TREX
    https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/installnw70
You will find two guides single host and multiple host server download the guide of Single Host this is most used for the majority of installations but every installation is different depending on your business requirements.
    Multiple Host
    https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000854982007E/TREX71InstallMultipleHosts.pdf
    Single Host guide
    https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000854952007E/TREX71InstallSingleHost.pdf
    3)     TREX is not installed in a client is a standalone engine Is not ABAP component  the only thing you need to do after you configure TREX is make sure that the RFC got created (during the configuration of TREX)

  • BI Jobs on one server

We have 2 app servers and 1 central database server in R/3. We want all of our other batch jobs (100s per night) to run on the app servers but the BW extractions to run on the central database server.
Is there a way to restrict the BIrequ (Process chain jobs) to run on one app server?
Any more help would be really appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sethu

    Thanks for your suggestion.
But RFC Server Group configuration leads to ALL RFC Connections established right?
I dont want other RFC Connection to point to one application server. We are having SRM too which utilising RFC calls online.
With the setup of RFC Server SRM Connection will also be impacted?
I need only the Background Jobs of BI in R/3 to run in one app server.

  • Get_sqlagent_job_status long durtions and timeouts

    Hi,
In Reporting Services, ReportSever database there is the Get_sqlagent_job_status procedure. This procedure is calling the undocumented system procedure xp_sqlagent_enum_jobs to
check the subscription jobs statuses. In most of the times the execution finishes in milliseconds. In rare cases however, the execution is taking much longer and when it reaches 30sec procedure is timing out with the following error:
Msg 22023, Sev 16: SQLServerAgent exceeded the allowed timeout for
creating the shared job list.  The Jobs cannot be enumerated.
During long executions the wait type is MSQL_XP. Regarding msdn it:
Occurs when a task is waiting for an extended stored procedure to end. SQL Server uses this wait state to detect potential MARS application deadlocks. The wait stops when the extended stored procedure call ends.
My question is why sometimes the xp_sqlagent_enum_jobs procedure is running longer and timeout? I couldn’t trace on which resources or processes it is waiting. When searching the
Microsoft sites, I only found info that this is undocumented procedure and should not be used. Why then then it is being used in the ReportServer database that is being setup during the Reporting Services installation.
What can be done to get rid of the timeout errors from Get_sqlagent_job_status procedure?
    I hope anyone can help.
    Regards,
    Marek

Hi. We have the exact same problem. We have put in all the notes mentioned here and more.
We have looked at the variant and have restricted it as much as possible, but we create about 30000 carts a month and some of them are not complete for a long time so we can not restrict the days too much.
We try to run BBP_GET_STATUS_2 for 90 day timeframe, as this covers much of it, but it takes over 10 hours to run.
We would then want to run more than 90 days once a week or something, but this takes 24 hours to run.
Does anyone have any more ideas how we can improve this?
I am thinking about stopping running the program and use a user exit in MIRO and MIGO to RFC into SRM and run the program for just the 1 applicable cart at a time, but this seems a bit drastic.
I have asked SAP all this but they told us the same as above, try the notes, restrict the variant.
    Regards,
    Dave.

  • Migrating material to ECC

    Hi!
We are migrating materials to ECC. These materials are not to be exported to SRM. However, the RFCs to SRM are called hundreds of times when we start the migration from excel to ECC. These are the RFCs used when replicating e.g. supplier to SRM. The tables CRMCONSUM,
CRMRFCPAR and CRMSUBTAB are maintaind. How to we stop the RFC calls when migrating?
    Sincerely

  • Error 'Program not registered' while testing RFC - SRM to MDM / TCP/IP conn

    Hello All,
While testing RFC connection in SRM, we are getting this error. This connection between SRM to MDM. Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Connection Type: T / RFC destination Name: MDM_API_CATALOG
    Registered server program: hostname.MDS
I checked smgw transaction ..Logged on clients...Program id is not showing. Any hint will be helpful.
I Checked this MDM setup also.
    MDS setup
In mdm server go to folder F:\usr\sap\DM1\MDS00\config
    Open MDM.ini file in notepad
    Add the below 2 entries.
    SAP RFC Gateways= GWHOST=XXXX.hostnamexxx.xxx GWSERV=sapgw00
    Trusted SAP Systems= XXD
This will enable gateway connection between SRM and MDM and will enable trusted connection.
For trusted connections to work, we created a service user called SRM_MDM_API with SAP_ALL in SRM  and also created the same user in MDM with Default role.

To register the program login into the OS level as sudo su u2013 <sid>adm and execute the following command.
    rfcexec u2013g<program id> -a<gateway host name> -x<gateway service>
rfcexec is the server program name, the <program id> can be obtained from SM59, it is case sensitive and should match with the entry in SM59. The <gateway host name> and <gateway service> can be obtained from the transaction SMGW. When this command is executed it goes to a hanging loop.
The connection will fail once this command is terminated or the user executing this command logs off
    2)
To avoid this, instead of using the above mentioned command an entry should be made in the file saprfc.ini
To do this, execute the following command
    sudo su u2013 <sid>adm
    rfcexec u2013D<destination name>
<destination name> is the RFC destination name in SM59
In order to do above step 2,  we could not find saprfc.ini in windows 2008 server. Please let us know path where it will be usually?
    3) Already checked the notes sapnote_0000684841
I know that it is generic error..This is happening to specific one of system only.

    Hello SM,
    Thanks for your quick reply.
Thanks for sharing link for document ie Configure the MDM Administration_cockpit. It is helpful. I read that document.
    But still issue remain there.
The same RFC connection works between SRM sandbox to MDM sandbox.
Only issue with SRM Prod to MDM Prod (newly built system)
difference between MDM Prod and MDM sandbox.
MDM Prod runs: Windows server 2008 OS
MDM Sandbox runs: Windows server 2003 OS
    Landscape: PI7.1, MDM 7.1 and SRM 5.5, SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0
Even i did os01 tcode ping test using host name (specific IP address) from SRM prod to MDM prod, it is fine.
Thanks a lot for your help.
    I checked these notes also
    Note 353597 - Registering a server program
Note 44844 - No connection to registered RFC program
Note: in smgw tcode in SRM system, the required program id is not showing in logged on clients

  • RFC connection problem during SRM - R/3 integration

    Hi,
Our environment is SRM 5.5 server with 2 R/3 backend systems. One of the R/3 systems is in another country. We happen to have RFC problems during the communication between the SRM and R/3 server.
Below you can find the SM21 log related to an operation on SRM server. What might be the reason for this problem? Does anyone know the solution?
    Many thanks
