RFC with structure as associated type
I have create a RFC, in tables tab i create a table "int_table" which its type refer to a sturcture(stur_a)
int_table type stur_a
It give an erro, related to flat structure.
If you create structure stur_a in the data dictionary through SE11, you should be able to use it in an RFC definition, along as it is not remotely enabled.

Combine IDoc and RFC Respone in one Message Type
Hello,
I need to have the possibility to store the data of one IDoc and one RFC Response in one Message Type.
The structure should be something like this:
IDoc_AND_RFC_RESPONSE (root)
--item (0..onbounded)
ID (Attribute, type xsd:string)
IDOC (Elemtent, type IDOC <--unfortunately not possible in data type definition)
RFC_Response (Element, type RFC_Response <--unfortunately not possible in data type definition)
The goal is to merge 2 messages (idoc data and the data of a rfc response) into 1 message with logical connected items.
e.g.
IDOC (message 1)
--ID 01
IDOC_DATA_01
--ID 02
IDOC_DATA_02
RFC_Response (message 2)
--ID 01
RFC_DATA_0101
RFC_DATA_0102
--ID 02
RFC_DATA_0201
I need this data to be transformed into:
IDoc_AND_RFC_RESPONSE
--item
ID 01
IDOC
IDOC_DATA_01
RFC_RESPONSE
RFC_DATA_0101
RFC_DATA_0102
--item
ID 02
IDOC
IDOC_DATA_02
RFC_RESPONSE
RFC_DATA_0201
The problem ist NOT how to do the mapping, BUT how to define the data type of the target message.
The IDoc and the RFC have a very complex structure so manually building the structure is not possible.
Thanks for your help.Hi,
thank you for your hints.
- How can I define one interface with 2 message types? I work with XI 3.0.
- Manually manipulatiing the xsd files is what I wanted to avoid (besides that, there is no possibility to get the rfc as xsd, only wsdl). Besides that, I tried to extract the IDoc xsd and imported it as message type, but there is an error message telling me "Schema to be handled does not contain a definition of type <Data Type Name>", whereas <Data Type Name> is the name I give to the Data Type. I tried the name of the IDoc Type here. Importing the xsd as external definition would work, but that would still not solve the problem as I cannot use the message in my data type definition.
Maybe I should specify the scenario a bit better:
I have an R3 System sending an IDoc.
The Idoc contains multiple items.
The data in the IDoc is NOT sufficient (and due to warranty reasons and company guidelines, it is not possible to add all the needed data to the IDoc).
Therefore, the IDoc is passed to an Business Process, where an RFC is invoked (input are the item IDs of the IDoc).
So afterwar the rfc call, I have all neccessary data per item in 2 messages, the IDoc and the RFC response.
Now I need to merge the data per item into one message.
This one message than is splitted into the several items and every item has to be sent separately. So I need a possibility to unite the IDoc with the rfc response.
Any hint?
Thanks a lot! -
Perl SAP::Rfc - input tables - The specified type Typ rfcdes is unknown.
I am pretty new to SAP and am working to understand the guts of it while also trying to do something useful, especially understanding how we could use Perl Sap::RFC. I've been looking for days and making a little progress over time, but now I'm stuck.
Problem Summary:
I want to read the RFCDES table using RFC_READ_TABLE to get a dump of what's in there. It is apparently too large for a plain RFC_READ_TABLE, but I discovered that by defining the fields that I want, I can get out what I need. I did this by successfully executing RFC_READ_TABLE in SE37 for the RFCDES table by defining entries in the FIELDS table, but I can't figure out the right way to send a table as input to SAP via SAP::Rfc.
Background:
I am using SAP::Rfc v 1.55 on linux with 640,0,303 release of the rfcsdk.
I am getting the error:
RFC call failed: EXCEPT SYSTEM_FAILURE GROUP 104 KEY RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE MESSAGE The specified type Typ rfcdes is unknown. at /home/<userid>/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/SAP/Rfc.pm line 1055.
Here is my code block (minus connect info):
my $it = $rfc->discover("RFC_READ_TABLE");
$it->QUERY_TABLE("rfcdes");
$it->ROWCOUNT( 30 );
$it->OPTIONS( ["NAME LIKE 'SAP%'"] );
my $str = $it->tab('FIELDS')->structure; # I think this line is extraneous
$it->FIELDS([{ FIELDNAME => "RFCDEST", OFFSET=> "000000", LENGTH => "000000", FIELDTEXT=> ""}]);
$rfc->callrfc( $it );
$rfc->close();
The parameters to FIELDS are what worked in SE37. I would eventually like to return more than just rfcdest (such as RFCOPTIONS) but at this point, anything working would be good
I have successfully done an RFC_READ_TABLE with SAP::Rfc (using the tables.pl example) so I'm pretty sure I have that working but I think the FIELDS input/output table is throwing me off. Maybe I'm not understanding the array of hashes correctly?
I have looked at the thread SAP-::Rfc with Perl which got me this far but I'm still missing something. Can anyone please help?
Thank you for your time.You might want to check out the newer SAPNW::Rfc. Not sure what version system you're connecting to.
Anyway, here's how I did RFC_READ_TABLE with SAP::Rfc years ago:
my $IT = $RFC->discover("RFC_READ_TABLE");
$IT->QUERY_TABLE('TBTCO');
$IT->OPTIONS( ["ENDDATE = '$MAXDATE' AND ENDTIME > '$MAXTIME' OR ENDDATE > '$MAXDATE'"] );
my @FLDARRAY = qw(JOBNAME JOBCOUNT JOBCLASS PERIODIC REAXSERVER RELUNAME SDLUNAME
AUTHCKMAN EVENTID SDLSTRTDT SDLSTRTTM STRTDATE STRTTIME ENDDATE ENDTIME STATUS);
$IT->FIELDS([@FLDARRAY]);
$RFC->callrfc( $IT );
print "Num Rows in PRD matching selection criteria: ".$IT->tab('DATA')->rowCount()." \n";
for my $ROW ( $IT->DATA ) {
#do stuff;
$RFC->close();
Cheers,
David.
For reference, here's my wiki profile, where you can find my blogs on SAPNW::Rfc, and some sample scripts.

Cannot create xmlindex with structured component
Hello everybody,
I want to create an XMLIndex with structured components on a table named BID_XWH. The table stores rows that are valid against the following XML Schema:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<xs:element name="bid">
<xs:complexType>
<xs:all>
<xs:element name="bid_date" type="xs:date"/>
<xs:element name="bid_time" type="xs:time"/>
<xs:element name="increase" type="xs:float"/>
</xs:all>
<xs:attribute name="bid_id" type="xs:string" use="required"/>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
</xs:schema>
I want to index bid_id, bid_time and increase. I wrote the following code
CREATE INDEX bid_idx ON bid_xwh(OBJECT_VALUE)
INDEXTYPE IS XDB.XMLINDEX PARAMETERS(
'XMLTABLE bid_tab ''/bid''
COLUMNS
bid_id varchar2(15) PATH ''@bid_id'',
bid_time VARCHAR2(15) path ''bid_time'',
increase integer path ''increase''
However, I'm getting this error:
{Erreur commençant à la ligne 1 de la commande :
CREATE INDEX bid_idx ON bid_xwh(OBJECT_VALUE)
INDEXTYPE IS XDB.XMLINDEX PARAMETERS(
'XMLTABLE bid_tab ''/bid''

increase integer path ''increase''

I have already created 4 other indexes on other tables, with quite the same syntax and everything worked fine. But for this table BID_XWH and another one, I am getting the error all the time. I suspected a storage problem, so, I granted the "unlimited tablespace" privilege to the user and then I restarted the database. The problem persists.
I noticed that although I'm getting the above error, the index BID_IDX is created, but not the associated relational table BID_TABLE.
I am using Oracle 11g R on Windows 7.
Could you help please?
Doulkifli.Hi,
Some additional questions...
- Could you give the complete version number?
- What type of storage are you using?
- Did you register the XML schema in the DB?
Please post the DDL for your XMLType table.
The following works for me on 11.2.0.1 :
SQL> begin
2 dbms_xmlschema.registerSchema(
3 schemaURL => 'bid.xsd',
4 schemaDoc => '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

In SharePoint 2010 I created workflows that used the 'Create list Item' Action, which then set the Content Type ID (so I could create documents of various types in a document library).
We just switched to the SharePoint 2013 platform, and now the drop down for Content Type ID is blank in all of the workflows that are still using the SharePoint 2010 platform. Is there any way to create a list item with specific content
type? Even if I could just input a string into that field instead of using this blank drop-down. Please help!Hi Sarah,
According to your description, my understanding is that you cannot create a new list item with a specific content type using SharePoint 2010 Platform Workflow.
I tested the same scenario in my environment, and the Create List Item worked fine with the specific content type.
How did you create the content type?
Please check if the content type is added to the list/library the workflow associated with.
Best regards.
Thanks

Call RFC with DLL created with DCOM CONNECTOR
I try to call a RFC with a DLL that i created with the SAP R/3 DCOM CONNECTOR (Release 4.5.B):
My external soft calls the DLL, which calls the RFC, which calls a transaction (Call Transaction Mode N, Update S)...
When i test the RFC in SAP (SE37), it's OK.
But when i call the RFC with my soft (and with the DLL), the Call Transaction returns sy-subrc = 1.001 (the methode "AdviseRfcGuiSink" included in the DLL allows me to launch the debugging with my external soft).
I found no SAP notes about this problem.
If you met the same problem, could you help me ?
Thanks.
Julien.Some Years later I have the same Problem.
As discripet in the post before - first I've got an error in the Method "CreateNewRow()" where the Method wants to return "return new byte[]()". Well I don't know why the .Net-Connector creates that code - but it looks strange to me.
The origin Code is:
/// <summary>
/// Creates an empty new row of type byte[].
/// </summary>
/// <returns>The newbyte[].</returns>
public override object CreateNewRow()
return new byte[]();;
With Changing that method I've got the same Error as in the post before:
System exception thrown while marshaling RFCTYPE_XMLDATAto .NET type.
Does someone has found a solution for that kind of Problem? -

2-Call RFC with USNAM parameter
3-Get PWD output parameter and write it's value into View TextInput field.
I wrote application but I did not get PWD (output parameter) value. I checked RFC running poreperly.I did not achieve to get PWD.
How can I do that?
Thanks.Hi Bala,
I checked RFC, it is running properly and getting the output value.
And I used command below, but it produces error

hi..
I have a project that i deployed to biztalk server...then i go in biztalk server admin and delete it...in the all artifacts..i see it listed in the resource and i also see in the all artifacts the port from previous..
I went into Windows/assemblies..and uninstalled..
no matter what i seem to do when i try to deploy the project again it says...Failed to add resources...is already in store and is either associated with another application or type...
I have been developing this for several days and i delete the app from biztalk server and then redeploy again and seems to work fine..now it doesn't
one time i actually had to go into the windows assemblies and uninstall..and shutdown and start again but that seemed to clean it up..
now no matter what i do i cannot deploy the application again..This issue can occur when you change the name of the "Application Name" within Visual Studio, then deploy to BizTalk with the new name. Problems is the DLLs are still assocaited with that earlier deployment name in BizTalk. So go into BizTalk
Admin Console, then navigate to: BizTalk Group - Applications - Then for each application check the "Resources" folder. Under one of these folders you should see your DLLs are already assigned to one of these other BTS apps. So you need to
delete the resources from the app (or delete the other apps) then your new deployment name will work. -
We are doing CRM Upgrade to Ehp3 and i am working with TC:WCF_CC
Please guide me how to open standard view in parallel in component workbench?
to add copy the attribute as well the associated type from the
standard to your enhanced view.?
Please adviceHi,
The only option i see is writing a BDC for a Mass Change or through Catt or E-Catt procedure, you can define any no. of fields there to copy and then you need to maintain the data in Excel file correctly, otherwise Ecatt is not going to upload the data.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Hi,
I have been having problems collecting 0BWTCT_STA to create BW statistics. I decided to collect the InfoArea and Infocatalogue first, then later collect the infoCubes.
After collecting the InfoArea/Infocatalogue, while installing I got this message, a message popped us:
Merge InfoObject Association Type (0TCTASCTYPE) 9%
and a check box:
With master data etc.
My options were Transfer Selections or Transfer all without dialog
What does this mean? This is the first time I am seeing something like.
What is the implication of each of these options?
There were 2 check boxes, one for Selection and the other for Content Version, what is the significance of checking each of these? The default had a check on the Selection but not Content Version
ThanksHi,
So, for the 2 check boxes, if my goal is to only transfer objects which do not exist in active versions, which one do I select?
These were the options
With Master Data Selection check/Uncheck Content Version check/Uncheck
You can only check one of them that is what I found as I try.
Also, after this selection, I needed to choose between Transfer Selections or Transfer all without dialogue
If my goal is NOT to overwrite any active object, which of these do I choose?
Thanks -
Mandatory fields With reference to Material types
Dear Gurus,
I need to make few fields as mandatory with reference to material types while creation of the material master data.
For example:
For Semi finished and Finished Schedule margin key is required(mandatory)
For Raw Materials Schedule margin key is optional.
Regards,
SiddharthHi
find following step to make field mandatory for material type
Follow the stpes for making field as optional, required entry
1 click the tab ,(Which is u want to be Required entry )and get the field name by pressing F1 key and then
2.Go to T.Code: OMSR and enter that field name and get Selection Group
once you get selection group and field name
3 Use t.Code: OMS2 and click your material type and in next screen check Field reference ( you have assigned for material type; example :;For ROH material type the Field reference is ROH
3. Use T.code:OMS9,, Double Click your Field Reference and select field selection Group , & select round box of Required Entry or optional and save
check following link you will get clear idea [How to configure the fields required for each Material type ?;

Creation of Business Partner with External BP #,ID type and Identifications
Hi Group,
I have a query on creation of Business Partner with External BP #,ID type and Identification # (along with the Firstname,Lastname,Email, Phone & etc.,) things.
the thing is that I was using a BAPI called "BAPI_BUPA_FS_CREATE_FROM_DATA", to create a BP and I was not able to have an option available for these things (External BP #,ID type and Identification # ) along with that BAPI.
So please kindly let me know how these things can be fetched from a BAPI which can accomodate all the above things mentioned.
Please kindly let me know how it can be achieved.
thanks in advance.
Regards,
Vishnu.Hi Gerhard,
Infact this reply was very useful, but ,while using the BAPI "BAPI_IDENTIFICATION_ADD" while creating the Id type and Id #s, this BAPI was not enabling this.
I was trying to use this BAPI to create ID #, and it's desc, but, this BAPI was returning like "This BP # does not exist" (in some cases) and in some other cases, it is keeping quiet without giving any indication as whether the things have been updated or not... and also when I checked, things were not getting reflected.
your help would be very much appreciated.
thanks & regards,

Using XSLT "adapter" for invoking a WS with SOAP-ENC array type param.
Hello,
I had to write a BPEL process that calls inside it a web service which has as an input an array parameter and as an output, also an array. I already know that BPEL has limitations regarding using the SOAP-ENC Array type. I tried to rewrite the web service in order to use a literal encoding of the array parameters (using "maxOccurs" attribute), but unfortunately, the OC4J container 9.0.4 that I have to use doesn't allow this. It only allows the SOAP-ENC types for array types.
I started to write, inside the BPEL process, some "adapters" XSLT transformations before and after the invoking of the web service that uses SOAP-ENC array. The XSLT transformation before the web service invoking will translate the input array parameter defined with no SOAP encoding types (based on "maxOccurs" attribute) into a SOAP-ENC type, as it is expected by the web service. The XSLT transformation after the web service invoking will translate the returned array SOAP-ENC type into a data type defined with no SOAP encoding types (based on "maxOccurs" attribute).
The approach is pretty hairy, from the XSLT point of view and it introduces a supplementary delay due to the XSLT processing needed, but it works. The only think is that when I build the service, I obtain the following error message:
[bpelc] [Error] GCDBWebservice?WSDL:30:42: src-resolve.4.2: Error resolving component 'SOAP-ENC:Array'. It was detected that 'SOAP-ENC:Array' is in namespace 'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/', but components from this namespace are not referenceable from schema ...
But in spite of this, the process is built and deployed successfully and I was able to run it from the BPEL console.
Do you think that this approach could hide some other future problems that I can't see in this moment?
Thanks,
MarinelPlease help me for this.
I am new to Webservices and SOAP.
I am facing problem when i am calling a "add" method in the .net webservices with the following code but it gives correct result when i'm calling the "HelloWorld" method present in the webservice.
I think it will happening because, when i'm going to pass any parameter to the "add method , it does not process it.It will return me 0.
Please help me in this.

Safari crashes with EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Type
Hi - Looking for some help!
After I updated to OS X 10.8.3, Safari will not open, but immediately crashes with the following exception type:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000000
I have reinstalled 10.8.3 five times (what do they say about you if you expect a different answer when trying the same thing?), but no joy. Also repaired Disk Permissions a few times (hmmm... what did I say about repeating things?), again without any effect.
Others have reported a similar problem, but their solutions do not seem applicable here (I've tried all that were relevant without luck). This is even more sad since I usually don't use Safari now (I dislike the unified URL-Search window), but I would like it to function in case it becomes advantageous to use it over Firefox.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice to help make it fucntion. Here's the entire error message:
