Rfcoscol - SM21 return code 667
Hi,
I have done the upgrade to ECC6 and it seems in SM21 there are error messages, something to do with SAP gateway.
Communication error, CPIC return code 001, SAP return code 667
> CPI-C function: CMINIT(SAP)
Execution of 002 failed, error
It is looking for the rfcoscol program but i had a look on marketplace and it seems that rfcoscol is not needed for NW 7 on certain conditions. We are running it on Solaris 9 so i just wanted to ask if rfcoscol is needed i.e. any excemptions or are there connections that are stilling pointing to the rfcoscol programs used by programs. just a confused as i cannot find any information on this
Your help would be much appeciated.
Mani
rfcoscol is saposcol eqv. run on servers not running sap but maybe the db. remove connection names from OS07 that reference program rfoscol so they don't appear in OS06. rfcoscol is replaced by CCMS agents and it was used to transfer data from the shared memory segment to SAP but this is not needed no more.

RFC Communication - error CPIC return code 020, SAP return code 665
Hello,
I have created RFC destination for connecting SCM system from Solution Manager. Both the systems are Unicode.
I am getting the following error --
ERROR service '?' unknown
LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host gva4103 / sapgw00
COMPONENT NI (network interface)
COUNTER 4028
MODULE
LINE
RETURN CODE -3
SUBRC 0
RELEASE 640
TIME Mon Apr 24 11:28:21 2006
VERSION 37
And in SM21, I am getting following description
Communication error, CPIC return code 020, SAP return code 665
Following are the things I have checked..
1. RFC destination user checked, password reset in SM59 and in the target system
2. checked entries in /etc/services - Entry sapgw03 is present.
Please let me know what all things I need to check.
Thanks and Regards,
VaibhavI solved the problem by myself.
The problem was with the entry in services file only.
I was checking the file on Target system, which had the entry. There was no entry in Host system services file. After modifying the file, the connection now works fine.
Thus for RFC connection, entry of the target system gateway MUST be there in /etc/service of Host system.

Communication error CPIC return code 019 SAP return code 728. Delta error
Hello Experts,
Would just like to ask if what we suspect is correct. We have running deltas in process chains occurring every early morning. However, upon checking the delta that should have run today, I found that the delta did not push through. I only found this one dump in SM21 that I think is related to the issue:
MNo.
R49 Communication error, CPIC return code 019, SAP return code 728
R5A > Conversation ID: 61442686
R49 Communication error, CPIC return code 019, SAP return code 728
R64 > CPI-C function: CMSEND(SAP)
R5A > Conversation ID: 61443687
R64 > CPI-C function: CMSEND(SAP)
R49 Communication error, CPIC return code 019, SAP return code 728
R5A > Conversation ID: 61444687
R64 > CPI-C function: CMSEND(SAP)
Now we think that the delta did not push through because we are encountering issues with regards to our SAP R/3 system (the source system) and it is currently inaccessible. Did the delta not push through because of the issues and inaccessibility/uber slow processing of our SAP R/3 server? And is the error specified above illustrating this? Any explanation would help. I have already tried looking for similar issues but cannot find anything. Please help. Thanks!Hi
As far I know, The SAP Gateway carries out CPI-C services within the SAP world, which are based on TCP/IP. These services enable SAP Systems and external programs to communicate with one another.
CPI-C services can be used either in the ABAP program or for the external programs via the interfaces.
As RFC (remote function call) is based on CPI-C, all RFC connections also pass through the SAP Gateway.
Errors When Starting Remote Programs Using Remote Shell
When you use remote shell to start CPIC programs on other hosts, the following conditions apply:
The (gateway) UNIX ID must be available on the other host
The gateway host must be entered in the remote host in the file ".rhosts". This file must be located in the HOME directory of the (gateway) UNIX ID.
The program you want to start must be installed in the HOME directory of the (gateway) UNIX ID on the remote host.

Hi All,
can anyone please tell me more about this error Communication error, CPIC return code 017, SAP return code 450 which is displayed in sm21.
We done post configuration of pi server yesterday, after the configuration we were able to log into Integration Directory and Visual Administator..
But today were are not able to log into both .....while logging into both we are getting authentication error 401.
we checked for users being locked but all users are not locked..even even tried reseting passwords,
also restarted the server but didnt help..
Reward points for helpfull Answers.
Thanks and Regards,
Srikanth.Hi Naidu,
Most common reason encountered for this problem is authorizations on installation. it is important to have both network and local machine admin rights when installing content server software. If you don't, the installation will be successful but you encounter the 401 error. Try reinstalling with correct authorization and you should resolve the issue.
Try regenerating the roles. SU01 -> display each XI user -> open the roles -> double click on the role -> click on the User tab in the role screen then there will be a button for USER COMPARISON do that for all the roles in red.
If that does'nt work out, Take a look at OSS Note 751856 and 796726.
May be your security roles were not adjusted during the upgrade (Note 796726).
if found worth pls do the req
Thanx

Generate prov.xml for Creative Cloud. Return Code 27
We're trying to follow this guide (Creative Cloud Help | Using Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition) to serialize a package (or something). We're stuck on generating prov.xml. My best attempt at an entry is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\CCP\utilities\APTEE>adobe_prtk.exe --tool=VolumeSerialize --generate --serial=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx --regsuppress=ss --eulasuppress --locales=en_US --provfilepath=C:\Program Fil
es (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\CCP
It says half of this is optional, but I'm skeptical.
Anyway, I'm getting return code 27. This indicates that it is unable to edit the prov.xml file specified. I didn't specify a prov.xml file, I'm trying to make one. The syntax I'm using differs from what I found on the page I linked, as that was giving me syntax errors. I lifted this off someone else's code. I've tried just about every variation I can think of. Any help would be appreciated.

while releasing a request am facing this fallowing error :
Calling the transport control program tp
"tp EXPCHK SIDK901840 pf=

which checks the export requirements, returned the following information:
Return code from tp: 0232
Error text from tp: ERROR: Connect to TI6 failed (20110131145153, prob..
and i have checked the all requirements transport..all are fulfilled..
Can any body tell me the solution.
Regards,
Kittu.Hi Juan,
Thanks for your reply. I cant see tp import log because Request itself is not yet released and in tp system log it says that
ERROR: Connect to SID failed (20110131102838, probably wrong environment).and the value of DIR_TRANS is
HOSTNAME\sapmnt\trans.
Please suggest me what to do to solve this issue.

Return Code - Query for Multiple Rows as XML
Hi,
I'm executing an MSSQL stored procedure through the "Query for Multiple Rows as XML" activity in LiveCycle ES. I do this through a call statement such as this:
{ call MyStoredProc(?) }
This works great, the stored procedure always returns a record set (with or without records). I use this activity rather than "Call Stored Procedure" because I can transform the record set into XML right away within this activity. Unfortunately any exception arising from invoking this stored procedure cannot be handled within the workflow as this activity does not have an exception handler (lightning bolt). In an attempt to handle at least some exceptions we have decided to use try/catches within the stored procedures and return different error codes. Now the problem I am faced with is that there is no way to retrieve the returned code within any of the SQL activities. We don't want to have to write an execute script for each of these SQL calls. Is there any way to do this? Seems like I'm 95% there.
Thanks
NicThanks for the offer, unfortunately we would need something certified by Adobe.

Thanks Rahul$Hi,
The client cannot verify the signature of ccmsetup.cab. I suggest you check the Trusted Root Certification Authorities in certificate store on the client to see whether a certificate is missing.
Try to enable verbose logging for SCCM client installation. Then check the log to see whether there are some useful information.(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg699356.aspx)

Premiere Elements 13 serialize Return Code = 14
I have 24 AOO licences of Premiere Elements 13 that I need to deploy with SCCM.
I have created an .msi with AAMEE as I was told by Adobe support. Next I tried to create a prov.xml with the following command:
adobe_prtk.exe --tool=VolumeSerialize --generate --serial=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx --leid=V7{}PremiereElements-EMT13-Win-GM --regsuppress=ss --eulasuppress --provfilepath="path to desired folder"
I get Return Code = 14. I am running the command prompt as administrator. What have I done wrong?I'd like to know what to do with this. I ran into the same problem, basically trying to force PSE13 and PRE13 silent installations the same way as 12 because I have no access to the new creative cloud packager. We purchased volume licensing for 12 which came with a version 13 upgrade and the only official directions I could find to build a silent installer require creative cloud packager which is nowhere to be found on our LWS page. What am I supposed to do?

Volume Serialization Return Code 25
Created the Adobe CC package and deployed it into our Mac Labs using the Netrestore imaging process. All working well for a couple of weeks, now the Adobe Application Manager is popping up asking for Adobe credentials.
We had the same issue in our Windows labs and the fix was to serialise with the adobe_prtk tool. I'm able to generate the prove.xml file just fine, but when I try to license I get Return Code = 25
As far as I can see in the oobelib.log file, it thinks the product isn't installed. I thought it could be a locale issue, but I tried regenerating the prove.xml with a few different combinations and didn't get anywhere.
Can someone help?
