RFID Landscape Options

We are just about to get started with AII5.1 and are faced with below questions:
1. We plan to start out small i.e. using a central AII configuration (no OER, no EDGE). Should we install both AII5.1 and EM5.1 on the same instance or on separate instances?  Considering we might install OER
in future and since OER requires both AII and EM on the same instance is it better to be prepared for that now itself by keeping EM5.1 on a separate instance and add AII later on to turn it into OER? In essence there will be 2 instances of AII one for the "core" AII functions like RTI and the other instance (combined with EM) would be OER.
2. Does AII really need to be on dual-stack?  The Master Guide and some of the presentations do indicate that ABAP+Java stack is a pre-requisite?  Would it not work if we install them on separate ABAP and Java stacks?
3. Assuming we have a single instance with both AII and EM on the same instance, would there be an issue if later on we configure the same client for both regular AII functions (like RTI) and also for OER?

Hi,
The customer is looking to replace the BW reporting tools with BO products over the next few years. So we are looking at setting up BOE landscape. One of the questions to address is how many BOE systems do/should we need to cater for a programme of this nature? Should we match BW landscape, or can we do away with lesser environments without over-complicating change management, testing, and delivery?
>> I would recommend to match the DEV / QA and PROD practice. You can have DEV and QA combine but for sure I would keep DEV / QA and PROD separate.
We already have DataServices in the landscape and the initial discussion with the team seems to suggest that we can share the same DS environments to host multiple repositories pointing to various systems. However, the question is, can we do the same with BOE without too much complication e.g. transports, security/authentication, portal integration, etc
What are your thoughts on this? Have you worked on similar landscapes?
Thanks for your time.

  • How do I get the "auto portrait/landscape" option to show during printing in Adobe Reader Touch

When I print using Adobe Reader Touch, the "auto portrait/landscape" options does not show up.  As a result, all pages in a document are printed in the same orientation even if they are not all of the same orientation in the file itself.  I don't believe this is a printer issue because if I use Adobe Reader X (v. 10.1.6) on the same computer/printer, the auto option does show up and the documents print as desired.  I use Windows 8.  As the video quality of Adobe Reader X is extremely blurry in Windows 8, I would like to be able to use Adobe Reader Touch exclusively.  How do I get the latter to give me the "auto portrait/landscape" option during printing?
    Thank you,
    Pelle

    Hello Pelle,
Thanks for the feedback. Our printing code in Adobe Reader Touch doesn't have that capability right now, but since you mention it we should probably do what you're requesting by default. I'll put that into our backlog for a future update, but I can't say yet when it will be available.
In the interim, if you have pages that are different orientations, you can print them in blocks manually to get what you want, but I understand that's a hassle.

  • Acroread -landscape option not working for Reader 8.1.3 - Solaris 10

OK I've read the other posts in which others are having this issue as well. I'm hoping this has been fixed or someone can tell me what we need to do to get this working. This use to work with Solaris 9/Reader 5 but when we upgraded to Solaris 10/Reader 8 it stopped working. The ps file use to come out in landscape and then printing it was a no brainer. Now the ps file is coming out potrait (ignoring the landscape option). The next step would be to print this via CUPS but it's printing potrait, same as the ps file. Any help would be great. Thanks.
    Solaris 10
    Reader 8.1.3
acroread -toPostScript -size tabloid -landscape 9780736651325.pdf
Running the above command produces a 9780736651325.ps file in potrait format and not landscape. It seems to be ignoring the -landscape option. Please help. Thanks.

OK I emailed you the pdf we were testing with. This works perfectly in Adobe Reader v5. I tried v7.0.9 and it works great from the GUI but not matter what I try I can't get it to save to a ps file correctly from the command line using the -toPostScript options like -landscape and -shrink (although with v5 we don't need to use these sub-options). I also tried 8.1.2 and 8.1.3 and can't get it to print to the ps file correctly in landscape from either the GUI or the command-line. Not sure wht the magic combination is. The ps file should look just like the pdf file. For now we've gone back to Reader v5 since it works but we wanted to use the latest and greatest. Thanks.

  • Landscape option gone from iPhoto/Epson.

I'm using iPhoto 9.5.1 and my landscape option for printing is not available.  What happened to it?  I'm using an Epson Artisan 730.  All software up to date.

    First Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
    User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.
If that doesn't help continue with the following: as a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

  • Windows 10 Has no automatic Portrait / Landscape option

My brokerage statement has the first two pages in Portrait and the remaining pages in Landscape.  I print the monthly statement double-sided.  Earlier Windows versions: Windows XP and Windows 8 printed the statement on an HP 3522 correctly.  Windows 10 only prints a document, as selected, in Portrait or Landscape. I am currently working around this problem by printing the first two pages, double-sided, in Portrait.  Then printing the remaining pages, double-sided, in Landscape. Hopefully, Microsoft will correct this limitation.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that your Windows 10 Has no automatic Portrait / Landscape option, for your HP Deskjet 3522. I am happy to help!  Perhaps, their is a driver conflict with an older driver. I would recommend to try our HP Print and Scan Doctor first to see if it can detect any errors. If not, the following steps may help restore that functionality:  Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.Disable any Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.Disable any firewall programs. Windows Firewall from start to finish.Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 8).Reinstall using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. (These steps will work on Windows 10.) Hope this helps!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • Landscape option Greyed out in Page setup

    Hi
I am using Crystal reports Product version 11.0.0.1830.
I have to edit an existing report, and have done successfully on a number of reports already, but it involves adding a lot more columns to the report, therefore making it too large for paper.
So far I have gone in to Page setup, and clicked the 'No Printer (Optimise for screen display) and changed the orientation to landscape. This has worked for 2 reports.
The third is basically the same report, but when I open page setup, the No Printer option is already ticked, but the landscape orientation option is greyed out, and portrait selected.
Is there somewhere else that this could be set that overiddes this. All the reports have the same printer settings, so I can't see this being the issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Will

    Hi
    I have worked this out.
For some reason the server was setting the default printer to be the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer, which overides any setting in the report.
setting a normal printer to be the default printer has worked.
    thanks

  • Camera Landscape Option?

We have just moved from Connect 7 to 8.2.  Our cameras and video capture cards are all have 16:9 capablity.  Under version 7, we had the option of setting the Camera and Voice pod to Portrait, Standard, or Landscape; and once set to Landscape, the Pod showed the full 16:9 widescreen frame.  For our HD web cameras (e.g., MS LifeCam Studio) the version 8 software seems to be trimming the sides to produce a 4:3 picture; for our HD capture cards (e.g., Ospry), the software is "letterboxing" the video.   Does anyone know how do we can display the full 16:9 that the video sources are capable of producing?

I have the same problem. It's become a 16x9 world that Adobe Connect can't join. There is a 3rd party solution, but the video isn't recorded, so it's a non-starter for me. I'm really hopin AC 9 will support widescreen video sources.

  • RFID Reader, optional with programmable logic controllers to streamline RFID

RFID is used to automate the process of capturing batch production information for lot tracking. This eliminates the manual scanning typically required with a bar code solution through the use of container and location-based RFID tags interacting with readers on material-handling equipment.
RFID Reader(interrogator) is a vital RFID system component. A transmitter/receiver that reads the contents of RFID tags in the vicinity. Also called an "RFID interrogator." The maximum distance between the reader's antenna and the tag vary, depending on application.
In addition, readers can be fitted with an additional interface that converts the radio waves returned from the RFID tag into a form that can then be passed on to another system, like a computer or any programmable logic controller.
Generally speaking, RFID readers can be divided into two kinds by data collection features. One what is called smart RFID reader with advanced data collection features u2014 such as filtering of redundant tag data, is capable of controlling peripheral devices based on data read from the tag. Another what is called simple RFID reader with a lower price, is need to attach to a separate local server or a programmable logic controller for local decision making.
The DAILY RFID(company name) series includes RFID readers for almost any application. For a full catalog of DAILY RFID durable RFID Readers and tags, kindly visit http://www.rfid-in-china.com/products_687_1.html.

Problem is I wasn't compiling libnfc with my code. I've been able to use Visual Studio to compile a C file that uses libnfc (and libusb), but when I adapt the code to work with JNI, changing the main to:

  • Print Labels in Address Book - 'portrait/landscape' option?

I need to print labels "sideways" due to custom label loading in my printer.
I have tried setting up a custom label layout in Address Book. However, it consistently prints the labels such that the text is horizontal to the printer feed. I need it to print the text vertical to the printer feed, basically rotated 90º.
If I wanted to rotate text printed from Pages or Word I would switch from portrait to landscape or vice-versa. Is there no way to do this in Address Book? Am I overlooking one of the custom settings? Thank you!

  • Does FireFox have landscape option for mobiles

u have a HTC inspire and use landscape quite a bit but FireFox doesn't seem to have it. why?

Firefox should rotate to orientation that your phone is being held.

  • Why does Adobe Muse not have a MOBILE landscape option? This should be included!

My clients sometimes want me to adjust the landscape mobile version and I cannot, this shouldn't be a problem!

The Mini DisplayPort wasn't developed until late 2008. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_DisplayPort Until then all MacBooks had the Mini-DVI port
The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody have a Mini DisplayPort. The Early 2006 model 1,1 through Early 2008 model 4,1s plus the Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s have Mini-DVI ports.
As for connecting to your TV it depends on what input plug you'll be using on your TV. VGA, DVI, Composite or HDMI. You'll need a Mini-DVI adapter and a cable from that to your TV. Here's the various types of Mini-DVI adapters on Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=min i-dvi&x=9&y=13
(Composite is the red, white and yellow RCA plugs on your TV or red, white and S-Video plugs.)
You'll also need audio cables to the TV using a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs for VGA, DVI or Composite. You attach it from the headphone jack of your MacBook to the appropriate input plugs on your TV http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=min i-dvi&x=9&y=13#/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_19?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=macbo o k+audio+cable&sprefix=macbook+audio+cable&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Amacbook+audio+cable
If you connect the MacBook using a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo system for audio if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini-DVI to HDMI doesn't carry audio and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.

  • N97 landscape options

Please help, I've tried searching for this but there are too many posts so I don't know if someone has asked about this before.
I can't seem to change my phone view to landscape without opening the qwerty keyboard. Any ideas pls?

Remove battery, re-boot and set sensors to on again, should sort it.

  • Camera calibration profile. i dont get the option to chose landscape

Bought myself a Fujifilm Xs1 and like with my Canon i prefer to take shots in RAW.
Now the thing is in editing in lightroom i am not get the landscape option in camera calibration >profile just Adobe Standard as if i took the shot in jpeg
    any ideas ?

This is Quoted from the Lightroom Journal where the official word comes from Adobe for new functions. It was posted when LR 5.4 was released.
""Added Camera Matching color profiles (PROVIA/STANDARD, Velvia/VIVID, ASTIA/SOFT, MONOCHROME, etc.) for the following Fujifilm cameras:
    Fujifilm X-A1
    Fujifilm X-E1
    Fujifilm X-E2
    Fujifilm X-M1
    Fujifilm X-S1
    Fujifilm X-T1
    Fujifilm X-Pro1
    Fujifilm X10
    Fujifilm X20
    Fujifilm XF1
    Fujifilm XQ1
    Fujifilm X100
    Fujifilm X100S
New Lens Profile Support in Lightroom 5.4""
I think it may be worth the try to install the trial of LR 5.4 and see if the profiles become available for use with LR 4.4
Just a thought out of the box not sure if it will work.
Lightroom does not provide additional profiles for all cameras they support, most of the camera models supported only have their own "Adobe Standard" profile.

In the report builder,in the Object Navigator,Data model->System Parameters->Orientation->Initial Value:LandscapeSetting this... i observe that the page setup has as initial value the "landscape" format print type.....
However , when i generate the report (10g) as .pdf ... the produced file has as initial value the "portrait" print type.... not the landscape.....
Is there any manner to get the print type "landscape"(as initial value) in the produced .pdf file ...?????

I success send the text report to email. But how can I change layout for my text email to landscape instead of potrait. I am using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send an emails.

I believe it is restricted by the length of the line which is about 70 characters or something like that. so there is no portrait or landscape option.
I put my form instead of text in the printspool convert that to a pdf file and send that as an attachment automaticaly to the recipient.
