RFX replication to SUS fails

Dear SRM experts,
We are on SRM 7 EhP 1 with SRM and SUS in two separate clients.
We have set up the decoupled scenario for the Bid process (RFX outside the firewall).
We managed to transfer the bidders from SRM to SUS successfully.
The business partners have been created in SUS with the role CRM007 (Marketplace Supplier)
When Iu2019m trying to create an RFX document in SRM it is replicated to SUS but the inbound xml is failing with the message:
Partner 0900000108 not found with partner function type Bidder
In transaction BP I can see that the business partner does not have the role Bidder assigned.
Even when I assign the bidder role (BBP001) manually in transaction BP Iu2019m still getting this error.
Do you know what is causing this problem?

This is clearly because the replication of vendor and contact person to SUS has gone wrong.
What are the steps you followed to transfer bidders from SRM to SUS.

I have also tried to test the mapping in test tab with the same payload but it showing the same error, even if I try it with a blank payload error remains same.

I have gone through this thread SRM-SUS Scenerio Replicating company code and suppliers to SUS via XI
but I think we can not change this interfaces as mentioned here as we are using standard SAP content.

I have resolved the issue.
it was a cache problem. I have changed the map, just edited description and activated the map. Though it was a SAP standard Map. I have made the objects as modifiable from SWCV and all the messages are processed.

SCCM 2012 after SP1 replication link has failed

Hi guys,
after install SP1 on SCCM 2012 I have problem with Global Data Replication status and Site Data replication status on P02. Where I have C01 and P01, P02, P03, P04. P02 is the only one which is broken more. Rest of primary sites have ok
Global Data Replication status.
Site P02 is after 1 week from patch console still in Read Only mode rcmctrl.log says: The current site status: ReplicationMaintenance.
CAS C01 have in rcmctrl.log
ERROR: Replication group "General_Site_Data" has failed to initialize for subscribing site C01, setting link state to Error.
Retry for process replication is requested.
Cleaning the RCM inbox if there are any *.RCM files for further change notifications....
Rcm control is waiting for file change notification or timeout after 60 seconds.
No connector role installed
DRS change application started.
Site is NOT active, so not calling the DrsActivation procedures on DRSSite queue.
replmgr.log says nothing special to be mentioned.
and when I run Replication Link Analyzer on C01 against Link to P02 it says :\

in my case in rcmctr.log is visible on CAS and primary site this message: ERROR: Replication group "General_Site_Data" has failed to initialize for subscribing site C01, setting link state to Error.
but today we moved in this situation and my P02 2nd primary site fall out from maintenance mode and a lot of replication happened but General_Site_data still remain in problem.
steps taken were: goto monitoring node > database replication > choose link which has problem and on the bottom check Initialization Detail
you can see which replication Group has problem.
Then in SQl server management studio we run following command with relevant name of Sites and Replication Group which are affected in my case
select * from RCM_DrsInitializationTracking
where replicationGroup = 'General_Site_data' AND SiteFulfilling='P02'
it will show you status
then this update query will force that replication group to start replicate(parameter 7):
we run this many times against same or different replication groups which ahd problems
update RCM_DrsInitializationTracking set InitializationStatus = 7 where ReplicationGroup = 'general_site_data' and SiteRequesting = 'C01' and SiteFulfilling = 'P02'
it's still not win but we are moving forward. And it doesn't has to be same issue like you have but it can point you to somewhere...

Vendor replication from SUS to ECC 6 backend in SRM 7.01

Dear Gurus,
1. Vendor registration in ROS: Vendor's are registered in ROS and stay there as preapproved vendors. They can be replicated to SRM system through OPI calls. How these suppliers are replicated to backend MM system?
2. I get to know that from SRM 7 enhpk 1 facilitates transfer of vendor data from SRM SUS to SAP ERP. A business partner monitor cockpit is available in SUS/ROS. Do we need to upgrade our ECC system to ECC 6.0 enhpk 5 or ECC 6.0 enhpk 4 will do to avail these functionality?
Any input on these will be highly appreciated.

As of now without Ehp1, vendors are replicated to backend MM systems using a PI scenario "Supply_base_management".
And you are right, from Ehp1 vendor replication will be handled as you mentioned and ECC Ehp4 will support that.

Vendor replication to SUS

Hi,
We are setting up the service procurement scenario with supplier enablement. We have EBP on one client (100) and SUS (110) on another client. All the XI configuration is done properly.
When we replicate vendors from EBP (XML/XI) as the communication method, using BBP_SP_SUPP_INI, the XI montior is a green message for the outbound in EBP, green in XI. when it comes to SUS, there is an error for the inbound XML.
Here is the error.

Encore CS5.1 Blu-ray Replication Problem - Master Failed BDA Compliance Testing

I've authored a Blu-ray in Encore 5.1
I purchased and used BluStreak Tracer with Export BDCMF
I sent the BDCMF to Cinram for duplication.
From Cinram I received "Master Failed BDA Compliance Testing"
The specific error is:

How may I fix this problem? How do I get Enocre to set the bsid field to where the specs require it?
Are there any other work arounds to this particular problem as I am in a bit of spot because my client wants to distribute this fine disc we have created and Cinram will not because the Encore authoring does not appear to be conforming to the official specifications? A fair bit of money is on the line.

Finally made it throug to tech support and they created a case number and they will call me when they have a solution. I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime I've got to find a solution.
The audio is encoded in the m2ts file so I’ve got to do the audio and video together. I’m considering re-encoding via Encore but using H264 instead of mpeg but I’m not sure what audio encoding options are available as of yet if I go that route.
I’m first trying to establish the tools (mediainfo run in cli) to be able to evaluate what BSID is spit out.
Another option I’m exploring is to re-render the m2ts files output by Encore (located in the stream dir) in Sony Vegas and see if they conform to BDA spec. I’d then have to replace the files in the Stream dir and wash it through BluStreak tracer but I’m not confident it will compile the CMF properly doing it that way.
A third option is to encode all the video via vegas, replace the footage in encore with the pre-encoded stuff (telling encore not to transcode it). I'm not sure if I can do this in Encore though.
Again, first step is to get the tools to “see” the problem.
Any advice is appreciated!

Cisco Secure TACACS replication failing

Hi, since we upgraded our pix to version 7 tacacs replication has been failing with a 'server not responding message'. Nothing has changed on the servers and they I see a connection on port 2000 made through the firewall which is active for 5mins (the timeout set on the server). Can anyone help with ideas for troublshooting please

Hi,
On Pix 7.x skinny inspection is enabled by default. Skinny inspection will break ACS replication since it uses port 2000 also.
Disable skinny inspection from any policy map which is applied on pix.

Roles for Contact Person in MM-SUS Scenario

Hi !
When we create a contact person using the Create user option in SUS, we assign the roles to the contact person. These roles are basically the standard SAP roles for SUS. We have created Z-roles ( a copy of the standard roles) to restrict cetain txns for users and would like to assign these Z-roles to the contact person . How can we ensure that the Z-roles are displayed instead of the standard roles ?

There are two type of role:
- single role
- composite role - (one or more single roles)
To roles You can assign transaction codes, reports, URL links, etc. SAP System automatically creates the authorisations that you can set on Authorisations tab page.
Authorisation:
Authorization profiles must be generated before you can assign them to users. An authorization is generated for each authorization level in the browser view, and an authorization profile for the whole role as represented in the browser view.

Can add with operator in sql server agent
SSMS -> Connect to the subscriber -> SQL Server Agent -> Alerts -> Double Click "Replication: agent failure" -> Response -> Add your operator with the alert type(s) you wish. (I recommend security groups instead of individuals).

For this we have checked below

2. We have assigned SAP_ALL role to bidder also ----> Facing same issue
3. Check Number ranges ---> everything is fine.

Thanks for the reply.
After I stop the server, remove the whole directory (/usr/iplanet/servers/slapd-*/changelogdb), and start the server again, everything is back to normal again.
I guess I should not have change the changelogdb directory while the server was running.

Replication Link Analyzer Unusual Error

Just finished upgrading my Heirarchy to SCCM 2012 R2, everything is fine after migration and the environment has been stable for several weeks.
One site however, is showing warnings for Replication. The replication isn't failing, its been up to date at the site, but 3-4 hours behind on its most recent synchronization. This time delay seems to be within tolerance, and hasnt caused any problems.
In troubleshooting that issue, RLA returns the following message. I dont understand and can't find any reference to the tested Local System account its referring to in the logs; and of the servers involved in this Replication, both have sysadmin access on
the Database.
"Replication link analyzer detected Database PS1 does not have a valid security scope for Local system Account. Please make sure Login for local System account exists and it has sysadmin role assigned".

What's the error in rcmctrl.log, replmgr.log? Have you enable verbose?

The URL to call the screen of RFx directly

Dear expart.
I'm setteing at SRM7.0 in order to call RFx directly from SUS now.
I would like to know what URL should be sat at URL of BIDDING_SERVICE in CustomerSetting of SUS.
Should I set URL of EP there?
Should I set URL of ITS as well as SRM5.0?
Because ITS have not been used since SRM7.0, I have no Idea how to set.
SO could you please let me know if you know the URL calling the screen of RFX directly.

RFX Submission outside firewall

Hi all,
We are running SRM 7.01 and implemented the RFX submission outside firewall functionality to let the suppliers to quote in SUS.
Question is if we send the RFX to SUS (Bid System=External Supplier System) then it is not possible to use the Surrogate Bidding functionality.
So the problem is if we have suppliers that use SUS and suppliers that they don´t, we cannot mix them as bidders in the same Bid Invitation. Is any solution for this?

As mentioned by Ramki above , " Typically surrogate bidding is used when suppliers cannot submit bids online. You can always replicate bidders & contact person from SRM to SUS. Then they can start submitting RFx responses in SUS".
Now as per the details given by you , " The idea is that every supplier will work in SUS in the future, but this will be achieved in a year or two. In the meantime, we have SUS vendors and at the same time vendors that are not yet in SUS."
Here as per my understanding , you will not be able to make use of the feature RFX Response submission outside firewall functionality for the vendors which are not existing in SUS. To get the end to end scenario working you need to have the vendors existing in both SRM and SUS system with a contact person. And hence you cannot mix the suppliers that use SUS and the one's who don't.
With regards to the surrogate bidding here , with SRM 702 the option to enable the Surrogate bid flag for the SUS suppliers is provided and the internal buyer's can submit the responses on their behalf from the SRM system. (similar to the surrogate bidding process in normal sourcing scenario).
As a workaround for the surrogate bidding in SRM701 the internal buyer have to login to the sus portal to submit the responses on behalf of the suppliers.
