RG1 register flow in SAP

Hi friends,
I would like to know the complete flow for RG1 i.e. update,extraction, mvt type I should use, legends meanings(green/red) etc. Would anybody can contribute.

Hi Atul,
Normally RG1 register is updated 2 times'
1) when production of fineshed product is produced and transferred to Bonded storage location. Movement type - 101
2) When Material is dispatched to customer, movement type - 601 or 641 for STO
Steps are ................
1. Update RG 1 = Tcode is J1I5, enter require data and select proper classification.
in register tab select RG 1 register
First we update the RG1 register for Production of Fineshed Product with classification RMA
Next update is for Dispatch Material to Customer with Classification IDH
2. Extract RG 1 = T code J2I5, enter require data and select RG1 Register
3. Print RG 1 = T Code is J2I6, select RG1 and Execute.
If you are issuing material from RG1 (Taking Classification IDH) and u dont have stock in RG1 then u get Red Mark and if issuing entry has passed successfully then u will get Green Mark.

Hi,
dont go the table again and again . the table is updated at intial stage only for stock update but not when SAP is running.
In day to day bussiness the flow is as follows:
Production - MB31 - to Unres stock
Sales - VL02n - PGI - to customer - i.e out of unres stock
Every day u can run TC J1i5 once in a day as decided and update the register so all transactions which have happend in that day gets updated i.e both input and output.
and this will happen every day.
hence dont use table as it is only for intial data upload i.e just before golive.

Updating the RG1 register.

Hi..Gurus,
Iam updating the RG1 register like this. In my company we create sales order. After that the PP people do the Sales order to process order and put the stock into the unrestricted stock.
Then we do delivery and billing and excise invoice.
After creation of the excise invoice iam using the J1ID here in the Chapter Id and Material combination iam putting the material as RG1.after that iam using the T.code SE16 and in the table j_2irg1bal iam maintaing the some quantity in total receipts+issues field.
After that iam doing RG1 updation ,Extraction.
My question is is my process is correct or not? if we follow the process any problems come in the future.
Gurus please correct me.

Error in excise duty values in RG1 register

Dear All,
While extracting the RG1 registers it has been found that values for Basic excise duties, Education cess and SH edu. cess are not appearing properly.
I have verified the following
1. There were 3 deliveries against which 3 separate invoices have been created. Against these 3 invoices, 3 excise invoices have been created. All the inoices are posted to accounting.
2. Sales material as well as sold to and ship to parties are same in all the three invoices.
3. Dispatch location i.e. plant is same for all 3 invoices.
4. In J_1IEXCDTL table EXBAS as well as EXBED, ECS and EXADDTAX1values are appearing properly for all the 3 line items.
But no values are coming for 2 line tiems; whereas correct values are coming in 1 line item in the Excel download as well script for RG1 register.
Please help ASAP.

All the 3 invoices are psoted to accounts. All the 3 excises invoices are also posted to accounts. Duty values are flowing properly.
The problem is in the RG1 register extraction.
BED, ECS and HCS values are displayed for line 1 but it is blank for remaining 2 line items.

Values not Appearing in RG1 Register

Dear All,
When I take a print out of the RG1 Register following coloumns are coming blank pls advice what needs to be done.
1) On Payment of duty
    Quantity
    Value
2) Without Payment of Duty
    For Export
    To other factories
    For Other Purpose
3) Duty
    BED Rate
    BED
    ECS
    SECS
4) Closing Balance
    Others
Please advice what needs to be done to rectify the error.

Hi
   The values in RG1 register will flow only if your J_IEXCHDTL (excise item details table) table EXBAS (excise base value) should be updated. If this is not updated then system will not bring the excise values in RG1 register.
In order to ensure that J_1IEXCHDTL table EXBAS field is updated please mark you pricing condition conditon category as "H'-Basic Price in V/06. By this EXBAS field will be updated with excise base value.
Please note that for already created document system will not update this value.

RG1 Register not getting updated

Hi,
Need your help on following.
We have a scenario wherein the material is a BOM. The actual delivery happens for lower level items (like MS Angels) whereas the billing happens on Header Material (say entire Structure).
Scenario has following steps
Sales Order --> O/B Delivery of Lower level Items (PGI) --> Dummy Delivery of Header Material (No PGI) --> Proforma (Header Mat) --> Excise Inv. (Header Mat) --> Commercial Inv wrt Header Delivery
Their is no prcing at lower item level for which Delivery & PGI takes place. Excise Details have been maintained for Header material.
Now when we are trying to update RG1 register, its not getting updated. I am aware that RG1 Register is linked to Goods Movement in Delivery & but in our case their is no Goods Movmt. for Header Mat.
Please guide how to overcome this situation so that RG1 shall be updated.

This is not possible in Non SAP even, check with them how they are managing stock in two different plant on same time.This is legal requirement you can have different process for different client. Across the same it should be same as per Legal requirement.
SAP will help you the same business which is there as per Legal in Non SAP.

Export Excise Invoice under Bond/ LOU in RG1 Register

We are set righting the SAP standard RG1 Register and accordingly we have applied the necessary SNotes.
We are facing problem in Export sale under Bond/LOU without payment.
The entries of Export excise Invoice in showing under the removal from the factory on payment of the duty column instead of without payment of duty for export under Bond.

Go to IMG -- Logistics-General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Business Transactions --> Outgoing Excise Invoices --> Maintain Default Excise Groups and Series Groups.
There check for the combination of sales area, shipping point, plant, excise group and series group, what is maintained under the tab [Export]

When I am trying to print the RG1 Register(using Macros) all the values are being picked but Excise Rates like (10%,2% and 1%) not being picked , why? Please help me on this issue.

Excisie duty updation problem during RG1 register update

Dear All,
During updation od RG1 register, excise duty has not been updated in Rg1 register. Transactional entry updated but Exice duty/ ecs/ CEss is showing zero value.
It happened with two materials only. all excise master data has been maintained for that material.
What will be reason ?

Hi Mangesh,
I hope you are using the std transaction J1I5 for RG1 Register update.
Normally we update the RG1 Register using the material documents.
So check whether for the material documents which you updated whether an excise invoice has been created or not ? because std - J1I5 transaction doesnt check the same.
If you have updated the RG1 register after creating the excise invoice for the above materials doc's then excise value will be updated in the same.
IF its not happening then check if any SAP notes are available.

Answer: If the scenario has another pricing condition other than PR00 (for example, another price condition exists containing the balance of the PR00 and discount condition) then PR00 has to be maintained as a statistical condition so that the base value will be PR00 minus discount condition, i.e., the second price condition.

Value column in RG1 register is updated based on the Condition Type in Pricing Procedure for which setting is as below:
Condition Class: B - Prices
Condition Category: H - Basic Price
Excise Values are updated in RG1 on creation of Excise Invoice

RG1 Register : opening & closing balance does not match with actual Stock

I am working on SAP AFS 6.0.
The RG1 register for a particular month displays data of only those materials which have been transacted in that month. I checked the tables J_1IRG1 and J_2IRG1BAL found that system retrives all records of the given period from the table J_1IRG1 and picks opening balance of these records from the table J_2IRG1BAL. The records of those materials which have closing balance in J_2IRG1BAL but was not transacted in the given period are not considered in RG1 register.
I want RG1 register to show opening balance of all materials which have closing balance in J_2IRG1BAL but have not been transacted in the subsequent periods.

Yes it is mandatory to update the table J_2IRG1BAL with material form and opening stock etc. for all the new materials
EXGRP: Excise group of the material
DATUM: Date from which you want RG1 report i.e. 01.01.2004
MATNR: Material
FORM: P for packed, L for loose. note that the same material cannot be maintained as both packed and loose.
WERKS: Leave it blank
Maintain all relevant opening balance fields. These fields start with OP

1. How to View RG1 Register. What is the T-Code?
2. We are Manufacturing different Sizes of Products eg #0, #1, #2, #3. Is there any provision to update RG1 Size Wise.
3. Also tell Provision to see agaist H-Form, CST, CT-3 and Export sales wise.
