RG1 Table - CIN ( Table - J_2IRG1BAL )

Dear All,
Can you please inform me meaning of 2 fields in the table J_2IRG1BAL?
OP_CF & OP_FINISH
From the name, it appears both are opening stocks in qunatity. If it is so, what is the difference between these two? The Data populated for these 2 fields is also different.
I am sure SAP would not provide 2 fields for the same purpose.

Initial RG1 Updation:
The sequence is like this:
1. In SE16, enter Table name: J_2IRG1BAL, and click on Create. Enter the material Number and 'P' in Material form (Loose/Pack indicator) and click 'Save'. This step is to be done only for the first time.
2. Do your Initial Stock entry in MB1C, movement type 561
2. Go to J1I5, select Posting Date, Document Year and 'ROP in Classification (Receipt from outside under any other provision). Click on Create icon (Register entry)
4. Go to J2I5 and extract the RG1 Register. You must get a green checkmark.
5. After doing the PFI, go to J1I5, select Posting Date, Document Year and Classification 'IDH' (For domestic sales) or 'IDE' if the first removal is for Export Sale. Based on the accounting document generated during PGI (MB03) the RG1 Register gets updated with the removal for Outbound Delivery.
6. Reextract the RG1 register in J2I5. You must get a green checkmark.For the RG1 Register printout, go to J2I6, select the option, 'Script Form' and hit 'Execute.
All this was in OSS Note: 373001.

1st go through se11 then display after giving the table name and then goto->utility->table entry->create entry
you will be able to generate the entry.
if again it is giving the error then take your basis administrator or technical consultant.

7) Maintenance type one step.
8) Maint. Screen No.    Overview screen 2009.
9) Recording routine STD recording routines .
I have assign screen single screen 1 but it will not take the screen so ill put screen 2009 ,the system will not not accept the screen but I proposed to Save and activate the table maintenance generator and created and save the function group ,the table is ready to save the entries
We have to go to SM30 then put 4-5 entries ,after that a dump error shows
Which i have attachéd in this mail kindly help me out
Its effect in production server.

Regarding entering data in Table J_2IRG1BAL

Hi SAP Gurus,
While I tried to enter data into table J_2IRG1BAL through Menu->Utilities->Table->contents->Create Entries
The following Error is displayed .
error : Create data processing function module
Message no. SV023
Diagnosis
You have called the function for editing view contents. The function modules needed for the maintenance functionality of this view are not available in the system.
Procedure
The data processing function module must be re-generated.
Contact the system administration.

Mass Maintainance for Table J_2IRG1BAL

Hi ,
i want to upload 2500 materials for first time in table J_2IRG1BAL as we are going live and before this activity is necessary.So for these purpose I want to know is there any mass transaction is there or not? OR Any other procedure to do this task in minimum time.

Hi,
CATT is a tool given by SAP for testing & data migration. Its is Computer Added Test Tool. So you can access it by T Code SCAT.
Then you can give a name of your test.
Then record the transaction SM30 & yourr desired table.
Actually it is not possible to explain in this forum. You can read documentation on this to understand the tool.

When the Table :" J_2IRG1BAL , " is giving error message SV023

Dear Sir/Madam,
When going to enter data in the table J_2IRG1BAL, it is giving error message as "create data processing function module SV023 in ABAP client in Dev. Server. Though it is alowing other tables to edit as usual.

Can you please check 'any authorization error' on your name. you can check in su53 transaction code.

Hi experts can u please tell what action will update the FORM field of the table J_2IRG1BAL . The FORM field indicates the material is PACKED or LOOSE.

RG1 table wrong updation

Material document was posed with posting date 31.03.2009 on 04.04.2009, movement type 711 and 712 for financial year stock variance posings.
But the J1irg1 is getting upated with register year 2009 instead of 2008.
The material doucment in 2009, but the excise records are financial year basis. This material document has to be posted in Financial year 2008-09, the registering year should be 2008.
Please advise.

Excise records gets updated on system date. We had the same problem when we were posting MIGO in back date i.e in 31.03.2009 was getting posted on entry date of 02.04.2009.

RG1 register- J_2iRG1BAL table values plant wise

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in RG1 report, client is not satisfied with the standard sap format, so we are intending to develop a Z-report. the steps which i am following as below:
I have uploaded the J_2iRG1BAL table but requirement is that when i execute J2I6 the balance should be fetched plantwise and same should be updated in report.
I have checked J_2iRG1BAL where we cannot maintain same material on same date.
I have uploaded the opening balance quantity in J_2IRG1BAL table in OP_CF and OP_FINISH column.
I am fetching quantity manufactured, quantity sold, relevant excise duties are from J_1irg1 table
Now the problem is opening balance column is not showing values plantwise , values should get fetched from J_2IRG1BAL table,if i go to that table , opening balance column is maintained.
Please suggest me where exactly to fetch the correct opening balance and closing balance to complete the report

As you said i have to update table fields like client, excise group, Entry date, material, packed form P or L & fill the last columns user name, date, time but i cannot maintain it for same material for same date in both plants as date and material is key field in table J_2IRG1BAL.
and i have found one note 1673612 in this note they have mentined following procedure for RG1.
How to main opening balance for RG1 material?
        For an RG1 material the initial balance should be maintained in the table J_2IRG1BAL.
   For a new RG1 material say that is created on 01.03.2012. If the initial stock that is available is 100 KG and the transactions for   the material say like Receipt/Issue has happened from 22.03.2012,   then the initial balance of 100 KG should be updated in J_2IRG1BAl   table with DATUM 22.03.2012.That is the opening balance should be updated with date on which
   the actual transaction has happened for the material and not on the material creation date.
In J_2IRG1BAL table the following fields SHOULD be filled-
EXGRP
DATUM
   MATNR
   FORM
   OP CF
   OP FINISH
OP FN UOM
   Also refer the note- 951955

When J_2IRG1BAL table needs to be updated.

Dear All,
We have created a new material (Finished goods). But not sure, when we need to update the table J_2IRG1BAL.
Please tell me which option I have given is correct.
1. Immediately after the material creation
2. After the goods receipt (i.e. Goods receipt updation in J1I5 with RMA classification)
3. After running a business cycle (Sales order to Invoice)
Kindly update me on this.
Also let me know the process for other materials (Semifinished, Capital, Raw materials)

Its always better to create the entry in J_2IRG1BAL after creation of the material.
You have to enter the below details like

FORM packed or loose

RG1 Register Tables

Hi Dear All,
We did golive before last 1 year. But due to some resons RG1 Register Is not maintained properly. So client requirement is to start RG1 from this fiscal year newly ( 2008 fiscal year ). Now problem is I am not getting which tables I have to delete to start RG1 newly. Or is there any another way to start RG1 register newly. Which table RG1 heats means j_1irg1, J_2irg1bal and which more. Please help me to solve the problem.

As per the new excise requirement we have to show the opening and closing balances of all the materials in RG1 register.
Please help me how to get this?

For initial upload in RG1 there are 2 tables you need to manually update. J_2IRG1BAL from CIN or SD side. And Accounts to be updated for Balance in J_2IACCBAL.
There are 2 ways for updating balance tables
On last day of month enter Balance in Closing balance field.
OR enter opening balance on 1 st day of month.
Also check Material form P ,can be maintained in user exit for permanent effect.
After updating balances ,
perform any one transaction on system.
and then Extract the Rg1 table .
Ask FI consultant to put in FI JV after balance upload in ACCBAL table.
If you have not done table entries before performing transaction and extraction of RG1 then balances will not appear .
Check with your senior there and use table edit in such case (I hope you are not on production server at the moment) .Then again perform Extraction and check once.
SD FI and ABAP to be present and take decision accordingly.

Opening and Closing balances in RG1 register

Hi,
We are facing one issue in RG1 register. When we update and extract the RG1 register from system, its showing Sales Qty and Excise duties properly. But opening and closing balances are not coming, its showing zero there. I checked J_2IRG1BAL table and found that it is also not getting updated. Material comes into stock with 561(initial stock) and 101(from production) movement types but opening/closing balances not coming in either case. Both movement types are activated for RG1 also.
Seeking your help in this regard.....

RG1 register opening balance and closing balance updation

Hi All,
We are using the RG1 register recently i.e. after the Functional Upgrade (ECC 6.0). While executing J2I6 RG1 Excel report, opening balance and closing balance is not appearing in the report even though we have done the J1I5 extraction.
Is it mandatory to update the J_2IRG1BAL table with zero stock as and when the new material codes are created.

RG1 Register Opening and Closing balance

Dear Expert,
As per Snote 951955 for Initial RG1 register update whether we have to give the opening Quantity in the table J_2IRG1BAL along with material form.
Can we re extract after updating this values in table J_2IRG1BAL will the value come .
Also after extracting the RG1 register there are no excise values for Receipts line items.
The tax rate filed is also blank do we have to do any other special configuration for this values to some.
Your expert advise will be highly appreciated.
