RG54SE II WIFI router: having trouble accessing it

Hi. It seems that I have trouble with this router I have been using for years. The problem is that sometimes I can't access it via wifi. This means that of course I can't connect to the internet that time. It occurs frequently, and if I'm using a large bandwidth (like speaking in Teamspeak or try to play online) it's more frequent.
I restarted the router, but it didn't help. I checked the modem and the UTP cable part of the router, and they just work fine. I checked if there is an other router nearby which interferes with the wifi signal, but there were none (checked with inSSIDer Home).
I tried it with a notebook, a PC with the USB WIFI stick which came with the router and with a mobile phone, so it is 100% that the source of the problem is the WIFI part of the router.
Now I'm thinking about updating my firmware (the version is 3.5.2 Build 070402 Rel.60023n now,( I found an update in this forum, but I don't know what version it is) but before I do that I want to know if anyone faced with this problem. I would be really happy to receive a solution.

Edit: the signal strength is perfect, and speedtest.net shows that my speed is often lower than it should be (not because of the modem or the ISP).

I found a firmware listed for that router on a web search that shows a date of 4/30/11, I downloaded it and checked but doesn't show a version for it, the firmware date of the downloaded file is 4/22/08 so it may not be any newer than what you already have on yours.

When connect new router Easylink configures WRT54G but when trying to connect to internet...fails. All lites indicate good. Not using wireless device yet, just the wired ethernet. Thanks for response, however I tried setting unit to 192.168.2.1 (leaving DHCP) to no avail. I put my old unit (BEFSR41) back in and I'm back up. I need to sit back and decide which way to go on this. Perhaps it's defective and I should return it.

Having trouble accessing photos

Ever since updating my 4s to the ios7, I am having trouble accessing my photos when using apps such as Facebook, text messaging, and Google hangouts. It says that the app cannot access my photos and to change my setting in privacy settings. When I go to the privacy settings and click on photos I get a message saying that if an app wants to access my photos it will be listed and I can change the setting, however none of the apps are ever listed. How do I change my setting so I can upload pictures that I have already taken on my phone?

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
This is not necessarily a permissions issue, but could also be a corrupt library.
To repair permissions in the iPhoto Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. You'll see the option to check and repair Library permissions.
If that doesn't help, what version of iphoto do you have? Assuming 09 or later...

If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

components but had downloaded the free demo last night. She

otherwise. This is our first time with a Mac so maybe we just don't

I have no trouble with them. Try this and see if resolves the issue,
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't help, quit Safari and then relaunch it.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
If that doesn't help, try this.

We can't really say without more information. It could just be that your bank site stinks and only works in Internet Explorer, which means you can't use it without Windows. It could be that it relies on Flash or Java and you don't have either installed. Your bank should be able to tell you if it requires either of those, and we can tell you where to get those things. Or it could be something else entirely.

I have never experienced that or read about it either but before you resort to restoring - and that may be what you have to end up doing - try the basics first.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Sometimes just restarting the iPad can really help. The resolution may end up being more complicated, but try the simple things and then move on.

I was able to download and install the latest version of iTunes (10.6.3.25) without a hitch. After the reboot I tried again to update my exisitng Quicktime Pro software as described in my original posting and got exactly the same error message.
If it happens that there is no software to download because I am already running the latest version, surely a message to that effect would appear and not the one saying “A connection to the QuickTime server could not be established. This computer may be having trouble accessing the Internet or the server may be offline”

I am having trouble accessing my voicemails. This seems to happen randomly. Sometimes I can get them and sometimes I can't. I'm always notifiede that I have a voicemail, but usually I can't get it to play the recording.
