RH HTML v9.0.2: Supported Version of Word Does Not Exist Error

Hello,
I am running RoboHelp HTML v 9.0.2.271 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine, with Microsoft Office 2013 32-bit installed.
When I try to generate printed output, I get a message box stating that "A supported version of Microsoft Word does not exist. Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer." I have tried different projects, including the sample RoboHelp projects, and get the same message.
I have read other similar questions, but for many of the people the problem was due to running a 64-bit version of Word.
1) Is there somewhere in the RH interface that I can "select" the version of Word I am running or set the path to my Word install folder?
2) Is there a fix available?
3) Will upgrading to RH 11 fix the problem?

Yes. Office 2013 is fully supported in RoboHelp 11. Upgrading will also solve browser compatibility options as well give you lots of new features. See Peter's RoboHelp Tour.

I am a new RoboHelp user und I want to import content written with Word 2013 into RoboHelp.
I'm using RH HTML 9.0.2 and MS Word 2013 (Office 2013) on a Windows 7 professional computer.
When I try to import a Word-Document (I downloaded and used the example document from Peter Grainge and also tried other Word-documents) I get the following message:

The error message is wrong as regards the version you need to install. It should state that you need a compatible version and the latest is Office 2010. Even Rh10 does not support Office 2013.
There is a workaround when generating printed documentation but not when importing. You need to install Word 2010 which can co-exist with Word 2013 if you want to retain that for other purposes. Before using Rh to import, run Word 2010 first.
To generate printed documentation using Word 2013, right click Properties in the layout, it works from there.

I upgraded to RH9 to try to get past this problem, but I'm still getting the error.

My bad, I didn't realize that upgrading to TCS 3.5 didn't remove RoboHelp 8.

We have a Multiprovider ZTEST. Upon activation, I am getting this error message that " Version A of multiprovider does not exist."
Whatever I do, the MP is not getting activated. Kindly help me on this.

With this I cross checked in Google - I got this:
SAP Error: R7I-101
Desc: Version of MultiProvider does not exist
Internal: 155649
I do not know what this means. Can any one tell me what this "Internal: 155649" means?

You need to uninstall the Community / Conduit toolbar add-on.
Locate the files in bold print and move them to the Trash. The first five are in your root /Library
/Library/Application Support/Conduit
/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
/Library/ScriptingAddtions (anything CTLoader realted)
/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
The next one is in your Home folder.
~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
When you're done, try Safari.

I have an Ada executable that's creating a buffer of data that's being fed to a Labview executable that's displaying the data in a GUI. We're re-architecting some legacy system hardware and I'm just trying to figure out if this configuration is even possible.

I don't usually download video from the iTunes store. I had a couple of long plane rides coming up and thought I might have time to watch the Stanford IOS7 programming class. On the plane I discovered this issue which has gone unaddressed since 2011 and has been worsened in Mavericks. in 2011 the advice was to open iTunes' get info pane and click run in 32 bit. That worked at least for some people. In Mavericks, iTunes will not launch in 32 bit.

) you can click on the file in the finder and it will launch in QuickTime. For some reason on the plane I could see the first lecture in the iTunes view but, although I could see all the other lectures in the finder, I could not see the first one.
Ah well, maybe some other year I'll think about getting up to speed on ios7. Heck, maybe by then they will design a decent user experience.

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
If you are running Tiger or Leopard:
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
/Library/Application Support/Conduit
/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
/Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
Library/Application support/conduit plugins
Also, as mentioned by Gilli2000:
Library/Receipts - If you read it, it has information in it at the bottom referring extensively to "CT" and "community toolbar".
Maybe it is harmless, but trash those items anyway!
If you are running Lion:
From the Finder Menu bar, select Go ▹ Go to Folder, and in the box that opens write:
~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Delete the second item if it is there.
Now select Go to Folder again and enter /Library
From the folder that opens, delete the following items if they are there (you may need your login password):
Application Support/Conduit
InputManagers/CTLoader
LaunchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
ScriptingAdditions/ct_scripting.osax
then close the folder. Now select Go to Folder again and write: /Applications/Toolbars
Delete that item and close the Finder windows you opened. Log out then log back in, and you should be rid of it.
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

My cursor frequently stops working. It still moves but nothing happens when I click with it. Also, when I go for support Apple tells me my serial number does not exist but I am sure I am entering the correct one.

My arrow cursor changes unexpectedly to the "tall I" cursor and then I can't open links.
My two delete buttons only work one letter/number at a time.

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

New version of itunes does not install

The new version of Itunes does not install on my computer. I have run all of the service steps from the knowledge base and there has been no change. I am running win 7 64 bit on an alienware m17x. can I get some help? I have my dxdiag if it will help.
The last version of itunes (what I believe to be the first 64 bit one) , the textures were not always correct but it still functioned. This new one doesn't even install and as a troubleshooting thing I unistalled itunes and quickime as well as clearing the temp files and running the instaler with no 3rd party programs on startup, so now I have no itunes. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

I think that I will just keep the version of itunes that I currently have installed as, judging by the people on this forum who have problems with the new version, I am probably better off not upgrading anyway.

Firefox and adobe flash do work together and older versions of flah do not exist anymore

i will try this one last time. the current version of firefox does not allow me to view videos from u tube or other sources. the solutions i have been offered is to downgrade to previous versions of adobe flash. the issue is: ADOBE NO LONGER ALLOWS ONE TO DOWNLOAD and RUN OLDER VERSIONS OF FLASH. if you follow all the steps you get a message that there is a new version of flash. yes it will download but when u try to install it the message i mentioned appears.. please please try yourself and see.
can naoyone offer a solution that will work now?

There are several problems with the newest Adobe Flashplayer. Adobe is working to fix the problems. You can check for problems and possibly downgrade Flash to version 11.2 or 10.3.

DBD::mysql object version 4.013 does not match bootstrap parameter 4.005

The issue is with XServe running 10.6.2.
Out of the box Perl doesn't come with DBM::MySQL module installed. To be able to install it, I first had to download MySQL libraries (instructions and link to the file are here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4006 ).
After that I was able to install (manually with "make") the latest module DBD-mysql-4.013 which Perl now acknowledges. However, when module is called, following error is thrown:
"install_driver(mysql) failed: DBD::mysql object version 4.013 does not match bootstrap parameter 4.005 at /System/Library/Perl/5.10.0/darwin-thread-multi-2level/DynaLoader.pm line 230.
Compilation failed in require at (eval 3) line 3."
Suspecting that Perl is looking for a 3-year old version 4.005, I did try removing 4.013 and installing 4.005 instead (as I couldn't find any other clear solution) but 4.005 failed to pass "make test" - not very surprisingly as it is that old - so I chose not to try installing it and put 4.013 back in and still got same error.
If somebody could kindly provide/direct me to clear instructions to resolve this problem your help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, I didn't document right away what I did to get this resolved but this is what I remember. This is a hack, I found a suggestion online that lead me to this. However, a FAIR WARNING - this is dangerous for the system.
I went into the module file mysql.pm located here:
cd /Library/Perl/5.10.0/darwin-thread-multi-2level/DBD
vi mysql.pm
I commented out the line that specifies version of the file, 4.013, and put 4.005 line instead:
#$VERSION = '4.013';
$VERSION = '4.005';
If server is not rebooted, this doesn't change anything, error will still be thrown. So I rebooted the server from command line.
This reboot did not go well, server went into some kind of intermediate state, I lost web access. We had to do a hard reboot by cycling power physically on the server itself. After that server came back up, log was full of all kinds of errors. Now all of a sudden the error "object version 4.013 does not match bootstrap parameter 4.005" wasn't thrown anymore. Apparently, version of this module is not read from the module .pm file itself every time module is called, it is instead stored somewhere else and is looked up there, wherever "there" may be. I suspect one of the files used during boot got confused when version number didn't match and it caused chain reaction and a bad reboot.
Later on I went back into the file and changed version number back to 4.013 as it is supposed to be, and commented the other line out:
$VERSION = '4.013';
#$VERSION = '4.005';
MySQL on Perl functioned fine since then.
Server has been rebooted weeks later during 10.6.3 upgrade and this time it didn't cause any problems with the module. Still works.

The GH4 must be very new as it’s not listed in Adobe’s supported cameras, so wait until the next version of LR. Usually there is one every 3-4 months with a release-candidate available at Adobe Labs before that: http://labs.adobe.com/
