RHEL5.9 x86-64へのインストール

初心者ですが、失礼します。
RHEL5.9 x86-64の環境において、Oracle Database 11.2.0.3をインストール+Database作成を行った後、
Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1.0 をインストールしているのですが、
コンフィギュレーション・アシスタントの
Oracle Web Services Manager Configuration Assistant

  • ULN oracle-validated, Note 761566.1 and database packages for OEL 5.5

    I purchased the ULN to simiplify installing the packages for an Oracle E-Business installation. I'm assuming the oracle-validated is not for E-Business installation because there were several required packages from note 761566.1 that were not installed The note also has a list of 11.1.0.7 required packages. Not all of these were installed with the oracle-validated update either. Maybe i'm not doing it correctly?
    If so, how do you use the oracle-validated to apply all the required packages. What channels do I subscribe to for the oracle-validated to work correctly.
    I am on OEL 5.5
    I am subscribed to two channels the latest for 5.5 and 5.5 x64 per a previous thread.
    Packages listed in note 761566.1 that I'm having trouble with:
    There are 3 parts to the package installation section.
    1. You have to go to http://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/files/Enterprise_Linux to get a couple packages not on the OEL installation disk. Are these also on the ULN update someplace?
    •openmotif21-2.1.30-11.EL5.i3861
    •xorg-x11-libs-compat-6.8.2-1.EL.33.0.1.i386
    2. A list of packages for release 5 and up
    There were more than this not updated from oracle-validated from the ULN but these are the trouble ones:
    This is on the list of required:
    •glibc-2.5-18.i686 (32-bit)

    If i try to apply •glibc-devel-2.5-18.x86_64 I get stuck in a loop.
    This is what is on the 5.5 linux disk:.
    glibc-2.5-49.i686.rpm

    glibc-utils-2.5-49.x86_64.rpm
    glibc-headers-2.5-49.x86_64.rpm
    3. Additionally, the following RPMs are required for an 11gR1
    I would have thought at least these packages would have installed from the oracle-validated update, but they weren't. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
    The following are listed in the note to be installed: I get stuck in a loop with this one too. What do I do about this?

  • Oracle Standard Edition and GoldenGate for replication?

    The Question:
    Can GoldenGate run in a Standard Edition RAC ==> Enterprise Edition standalone environment and perform the required rule-based replication without requiring an upgrade of our RAC Standard Edition to RAC Enterprise Edition?
    The environment:
    Source System: 2-node RAC running Standard Edition 10.2.0.5 (RHEL5 x86-64)
    Target System: 1-node running Enterprise Edition 11.2.0.1 (RHEL5 x86-64)
    The requirement:
    Lossless one-way replication in "real time" of selected schema while excluding selected DDL/DML based on multiple rules.
    Present solution:
    LogMiner, but there is a known LogMiner bug (p8977287) that causes data loss when one RAC node goes down or is evicted from the cluster. The bug is reportedly patched in 11.2.0.2 and is slated to be fixed in 12.x.
    Thx.

    Yes. Simple enough, it can extract from SE, even XE!

  • Rapidwiz error cannot open shared object file: libpthread.so.0 libc.so.6

    Hi,
    We are following Note 238276.1 Migrating to Linux with Oracle Applications Release 11i, trying to install the technology stack (Section 2: Step 4), in a RHEL5 64Bits.
    We have downloaded the startCD (B29029-01) and the TechStack CDs (B29032-01_2of2). When running the ./rapidwiz from startCD, we get following error:
    /tmp/RapidInstall/jre/Linux/1.4.2/bin/jre: error while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    glibc-2.5-42
    [applmgr@desaebs rapidwiz]$ locate linux-gate.so.1
    It seems that linux-gate.so.1 is not present, I'll try to install it, but I'm not sure this can be the real problem.
    Any idea?
    Thanks!
    Alvaro

    Yes, thats correct ...
    The actual situation is:
    -Customer has split configuration: DB 11g in RHEL5x86-64Bits + APPS 11.5.10.2 in Windows2003
    -The target is to have all DB11g and APPS R12 in single node RHEL5x86-64Bits
    We're following Note "Migrating to Linux with Oracle Applications Release 11i [ID 238276.1]" to migrate the APPS server from Windows to Linux, as a middle/temporary step prior to make the Migration to R12.
    We are trying to do it, but we get errors during Section 2.4 "Install the Middle Tier Technology Stack", running the rapidwiz command we get errors, because of R11i is not supported in 64bits platforms (Oracle Applications Installation Update Notes, Release 11i (11.5.10.2) [ID 316806.1])
    Our bigest doubt now is that we are trying to install 11i techstack into RHEL5 x86-64bits, and we think this is not possible, because of R11i is not supported in 64bits platforms !!!
    That is, could we migrate the APPS server from Windows to Linux x86-64 as a temporary step to begin the upgrate to R12 all in RHEL5x86-84bits, that is full supported on this 64bit platform?
    What possibilities do we have if we can't do this?
    Theese can be some of them:
    1-Migrate apps server from actual windows2003 to Linux 32bit, in other host with 32 bits installed, instead of 64bits, and move here from windows to lilnux 32bits, and the begin the R12migration
    2-Migrate to R12 into actual appserver Windows2003 and then migrate appserver from windows to rhel5-64bits
    I don't like second option, because we want to make the R12 upgrade into Linux, not in windows. We need to eliminate windows platform as soon as we can.
    Thanks in advance ,

  • Is my configuration correct? PHP and Oracle HTTP server

    Hi all,
    I have a single server running RHEL5 x86-64 and Oracle 11.1. I also have the Oracle HTTP Server which purportedly has "PHP support".
    I am trying to do a basic test connect to my database, but I'm getting an error.
    My test is the following:
    <html>
    PHP Test with Oracle<head>
    <body>
    <pre>
    <?php
    $conn = oci_connect('scott', 'tiger', 'myserver/MYDBSERVICE');
    if (!$conn) {
    trigger_error("Could not connect to database", E_USER_ERROR);
    ?>
    </pre>
    </body>
    </html>When I open the page, I see the following:
    PHP Test with Oracle
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: oci_connect() in /u01/app/oracle/product/HTTP_Server/ohs/htdocs/phptest/dtest4.php on line 6
    I've also tried phpinfo() and get the following:
    oci8
    OCI8 Support      enabled
    Revision      $Revision: apache_modules/mod_php/4.3.9/ext/oci8/oci8.c#0 $
    Oracle Version      10.1
    Compile-time ORACLE_HOME      /ade/svadugur_mjoyphp4311/oracle
    Libraries Used      no value
    Any idea what may be going on? I've looked through much documentation already before posting to no avail.
    Thank you for any insight.

    The oci_* names were introduced in PHP 5. In PHP 4 the equivalent connection command is ocilogon(). For other mappings see Appendix C of the free book http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/php/underground-php-oracle-manual-098250.html
    I'd recommend you upgrade PHP. See "Installing OCI8 with Oracle Application Server on Linux" on p 76 of that book. Note the warnings.

  • Cisco Meeting Place 8.5.2 DVD

    Hi all,
    We just received the Cisco MP 8.5.2 DVD from the PUT.
    Prod#: MP8X-AV-SVR-K9-UP
    We tried to do a clean installation via VM.
    However on the installation process it HANG/STUCK at:
    Running install…
    Running /sbin/loader
    Appreciate if anyone can please advise on the possible fault
    Regards: Jocelyn

    Hi Jocelyn
    I am facing exactly the same issue with the MP 8.5.2 shipped with the 8.6 NFR bundle.
    Tried on a VM on ESX 5, tried it as well on a VM on VmWare WS8, same result.
    Tried to tweak guest OS (RHEL4 x86 or RHEL5 x86) - same result.
    Is it possible that the actual DVD has a corrupted image? /sbin/loader runs from DVD at that stage.
    If you solved the issue, please share the solution
    Thanks

  • Migrate to x64

    Dear All I would like to migrate oracle 10g from RHEL 4 IA64 to RHEL5 x86-64
    Can someone give links on how to do that?

    Hi,
    the filesystem will remain the same.
    I thought about recreating the database on a separate partition but that would take a lot of time my db is 2tbAs updated by you earlier, both OS are Redhat. Just there is difference between version of OS.
    As per srini update just confirm the edian format of database. New Oracle Installation is also not required.
    The Oracle database software comes for either 32-bit or 64-bit, it will not come for IA64 or X86 64. So if you restore the existing $ORACLE_HOME on target server and perform relink of binaries it should serve your purpose. Also dont forget to set env's - it shold be same as the source system.
    Do not open database on target system without taking a backup on current server.

  • Universal Installer Error during Product Prerequisite checks

    Hello everyone !
    First to say, I'm a newbie with Linux. So please be kind with me.
    I'm trying to install Oracle Database 10gR2 on my newly installed redhat 5 enterprise linux client release 5.2 .
    After solving some issues with missing packets I'm now confronted with a new problem after having successfully launched Oracle Universal Installer. OUI tells me, that "Oracle Database 10g is not certified on the current operating system". More precise :
    Checking operating system requirements ...
    Expected result: One of redhat-3,redhat-4,SuSE-9,asianux-1,asianux-2
    Actual Result: redhat-Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client release 5.2 (Tikanaga)
    Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failed <<<<
    Can anyone help ?
    Best regards,
    Wesam

    Oracle 10gR2 is not certified on EL5 when it was released.
    you can run
    runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs

  • Is Essbase Server Release 11.1.1.3.0 supported on RHEL5 (5.6) 64-bit OS?

    Guys,
    I have "Essbase Server Release 11.1.1.3.0 - 64bit" running on "Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 6)". The package number for "Essbase Server Release 11.1.1.3.0" for 32-bit and 64-bit is same e.g. "V17389-01 – Essbase Server"
    My IS team is planning to upgrade the OS to RHEL5 (5.6) 64-bit.
    My question:
    Is Essbase Server Release 11.1.1.3.0 supported on RHEL5 (5.6) 64-bit OS?
    Thanks

    Have a read of the support matrix - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/oracle-hyperion-epm-system-certific-2-128342.xls
    "Intel / AMD x86-64 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0+ (includes Advanced Server and Advanced Platform)" is included in the supported list.

  • Informatica 811 on RHEL5 Install Error

    Anyone installed "Informatica PowerCenter 8.11" for BIApps on REHL5 ?
    Install.sh throws errors such as (see below for full error message)
    "error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
    My platform is Linux x86, operating system RHEL 5.2, kernel 2.6.18-92.1.22.el5. Database 11g and OBIEE are already installed on this same machine. So all the pre-install requirements for those 2 products have been met.
    I downloaded 2 files from Oracle Business Intelligence (10.1.3.x) Downloads

    - infa_powercenter_linux_x86_32bit_811sp5_2of2.zip
    I followed "Chapter 4: Before You Install" in the included documentation "Installation and Configuration Guide Informatica PowerCenter® (Version 8.1.1)".
    I extracted both zips to the same directory, then extarcted the tape archive for SE
    cd /software
    mkdir -p infa_powercenter_linux_x86_32bit_811sp5
    unzip infa_powercenter_linux_x86_32bit_811sp5_1of2.zip -d infa_powercenter_linux_x86_32bit_811sp5
    unzip infa_powercenter_linux_x86_32bit_811sp5_2of2.zip -d infa_powercenter_linux_x86_32bit_811sp5

    tar -xvf pc811_Linux32.tar
    Then as the oracle use

    export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
    export ORACLE_SID=demo
    export ORAENV_ASK=NO

    In any case, I found a fix / hack to this issue. The install is exporting environment variable 'LD_ASSUME_KERNEL'. For RHEL4 this is ok. For RHEL5 this environment variable must be unset. So the fix is to hack the binary. The idea for this fix came from the following note 417016.1 OVD Install Fails With "error while loading shared libraries".
    cp Server/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/install.bin Server/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/zzzinstall.bin_`date '+%Y%m%dT%T'`
    cp Server/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/install.bin Server/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/install.bin.bak
    cat Server/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/install.bin.bak | grep LD_ASSUME_KERNEL

    export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
    # unset the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in cause we don't need it
    unset LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
    # check our rules for setting LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
    linux_LD_ASSUME_KERNEL_hack=1
    if [ $linux_LD_ASSUME_KERNEL_hack -eq 1 ]; then
    LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
    export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
    cat Server/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/install.bin.bak | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME/#xport LD_ASSUME/" > Server/Linux/Disk1/InstData/VM/install.bin
