RHINTE - PA OM integration reports

my question-
can you RHINTE reports run when the integration between PA and OM is not active.
my observations-
RHINTE00 - works ok
RHINTE10 - works ok
RHINTE20 - works ok
RHINTE30 - does not work
that is, infotype 0001(org assingment) does not get updated using RHINTE30
IS THIS RIGHT???

Integration between  Personnel Administration &  OM
Integration between PA and OM  is required to get default for job, position, org unit cost center etc in IT0001. Position is the integration between OM & PA.
Configuration Step:
IMG--> PA--> OM--> Basic settings --> integration-->set up integration with PA
Table for OM - PA integration is T77S0
In the above table set the integration switch PLOGI ORGA to X
If this is set to "X" - the integration is turned "on"
If this is a blank  - the integration is turned "off".
Reports in PA & OM Integration/Integration tools
1.RHINTE00 - To transfer data from PA to OM
2.RHINTE10 - To transfer OM data to PA tables
3.RHINTE20  - To determine whether the data relevant for integration is available in both PA and OM
4.RHINTE30 -To update IT0001 (org assignment)

  • Develop a Integrated Report of Program and Project Risks, Issues and Opportunities from Project Sites

Does anyone know if it is possible to create an integrated report of all program / project risks, issues and opportunities as identified on project sites? We plan on having our project teams identify and manage these on their project sites but would like
to  ability to roll this information up into a report for management review.  Need to know if this is possible and how it might be done. Thanks.

    Hi,
are you asking for a Reporting Services Report? You can find this information in Reporting DB (2010) resp. schema dbo for reporting (2013).
    Here a simple query:
    SELECT PROJ.ProjectName
    , ISSUE.Title AS Issue
    , RISK.Title AS Risk
    FROM dbo.MSP_EpmProject_UserView AS PROJ
LEFT OUTER JOIN dbo.MSP_WssIssue_OlapView AS ISSUE ON PROJ.ProjectUID = Issue.ProjectUID
LEFT OUTER JOIN dbo.MSP_WssRisk_OlapView AS RISK ON RISK.ProjectUID = PROJ.ProjectUID

  • SSRS 2012 (SP Integrated) report on SP 2013 PerformancePoint Dashboard: when too many filter items selected together report does not update anymore!

I am having a situation with SSRS 2012 (SP-integrated) report rendered on SP 2013 PerformancePoint Dashboard using linked PerformancePoint (PP) filters.
The report works fine as long as too many PP filter items are not selected at the same time. When gradually selecting more items from the filter, the report updates itself until more than a sepecific numer of filter items are selected - the report simply
does not update itself anymore. This "specific number of filter items", when hit, generates the following error in ULS:
An exception  occurred while rendering a Web control. The following diagnostic information might help to determine the cause of this problem:  System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.

at Microsoft.PerformancePoint.Scorecards.ServerRendering.ReportViewControl.RenderReportViewControl(HtmlTextWriter writer, ReportView rv)  PerformancePoint Services error code 20700.
I already know that the cause of the issue is in the length of the query (perhapse RDL or MDX) that the browser is supposed to pass on to the instance of SSAS.
Some people had suggested a workaround that was suitable for older versions or non-integrated SSRS (see here: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/cb6ede72-6ed1-4379-9d3c-847c11b75b32/report-manager-operation-cannot-run-due-to-current-state-of-the-object).
Knowing this, have already done the changes suggested (adding the lines suggested to SP's web.config for Reporting and the web.config of the site on which report is rendred) at no avail, just to make sure.
I have rednered the same report on the same dashboard using SSRS filters and there is no problem; it just works fine. This has to be a bug in PP that is causing this.
Has anyone had the same problem with SSRS 2012 (SP-integrated) report rendered on SP 2013 PP dashboard using PP filter? Any fixes or workarounds?
    thnx!

    Hello everybody.
I confirm the issue in Service Pack 1 Release 2.
Poor workaround is to remove the repeated infromation from the member keys (in SSAS they can be really long).
The issue seems to be specific to SSRS: Excel Services works well with the same filter.

  • Farm Recovery Planning: How to restore existing SharePoint Integrated Reporting Services Databases?

Sorry in advance for cross posting, but the Forum Admin for "SharePoint 2010 - Setup, Upgrade..." recommended I post this here as well.
Running "SharePoint 2010 SP1" and "SQL Server 2012" Integrated Reporting Services.
Assuming a total Farm failure requiring a new farm to be built, does anyone have any experience with restoring the 3 SharePoint Integrated SSRS databases to a the new farm from SQL Server level backups?  Assuming of course the SSRS encryption key had
been exported.  Many of the Service Applications can be provisioned with "pre-existing" restored service application databases (like the User Profile Service and Metadata Service databases).  Just wondering if this can also be done with
    the SharePoint Integrated SSRS databases.
The following Microsoft Document on setting up a SP DR site implies it's possible since the 3 databases are synced to a separate DR farm.
    https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/view.aspx?src=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.microsoft.com%2Fdownload%2FD%2F2%2F0%2FD20E1C5F-72EA-4505-9F26-FEF9550EFD44%2FPlanning%2520Disaster%2520Recovery%2520for%2520Reporting%2520Services%2520in%2520SharePoint%2520mode%2520.docx
Is this possible?  Does any one have any actual experience with this, and what the steps would be?
    Thanks!

    Hi mikea730,
It supposed to be possible. Please refer to the blog below:

  • Sharepoint 2013 SSRS 2012 Integrated Report Level Security

With SSRS we are able to assign security down to the object level, but I am looking to move to the Sharepoint Integrated Reporting Services and find that you can only do to a library level.  Is this correct or am I missing something.  I have tried
to find documentation regarding, but nothing is clear as to the abilities.

    Hi sdffgccfg,
Based on my research, we can still set permissions for report server items on a SharePoint site (Reporting Services in SharePoint Integrated Mode). We can set permissions on report definition (.rdl), model (.smdl), and shared data source (.rsds) files. But
we cannot combine inherited and managed permissions on the same item.
To set permissions on a report server item, please refer to the following steps:
Point to the report, report model, or shared data source file.
Click the “…”, “…”, and then select the Shared With option on the menu list that appears.
On the Shared With window, select the corresponding permission.
The following blog is for your reference:

  • Report Builder remove toolbar when running integrated report

    Hi there,
I am using Report Builder 3.0.
I want to remove the toolbar (http://screencast.com/t/HDbGHZXz3vJa) when I am running some of my reports but not all of my integrated reports. Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance :)

    Hi chesternut,
According to your description, you want to hide the Toolbar in report manager when preview some reports. As far as I know, reporting Services provides default style (.css) files (usually in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS%.MSSQLSERVER \Reporting
Services\ReportServer\Styles) that define styles for the report toolbar in HTML Viewer for Report Manager. So we can modify some default settings to customize the toolbar, but these settings would affect all reports in report manager.
In Reporting Service, we can hide Toolbar in specified reports by setting the Toolbar parameter to false as below:
    http://<servername>/reportserver?/Folder/Report&rs:Command=Render&rc:Toolbar=false
For more information about URL access, please refer to the following article:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms152835.aspx
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

  • Can I use RS.exe to create the folders in Sharepoint-Integrated Reporting service?

    Hello All,
Recently, I am using rs.exe and .rss files to publish my reports to SharePoint-Integrated Reporting Service.
The outstanding issue is, it cannot create non-existing folders for me automatically. I have to created the folder manually.
Thinking BIDS "Deploy" function can make folder creating happen, why the RS.exe doesn't support so?
Does anyone know how to change .rss and rs files to make folders creating automatically.
E.g. If I pass in "ParentFolder" and it doesn't exist on SharePoint, then RS.exe can create the folder first then deploy the RDL files under that folder.
    Derek

    Hi Derek,
In SSRS, we can use .rss files to publish our reports to a new folder. Please refer to the following script:
Dim definition As [Byte]() = Nothing
Dim warnings As Warning() = Nothing
Dim destinationFolder As String = "DemoReports"
Dim reportsTargetPath As String = "/" + destinationFolder
Dim reportsSourcePath As String = "C:\Demo"
Dim datasourceName As String = "DataSource1"
    ‘Create the destination Folder
    Try
    rs.CreateFolder(destinationFolder,”/”, Nothing)
Console.WriteLine("Parent folder {0} created successfully", destinationFolder)
    CreateReportDataSource(datasourceName, "SQL", "Data Source=.;Initial Catalog= AdventureWorksDW2012")
    Catch e As Exception
    Console.WriteLine("Tasks completed successfully.”)
    End Try
You can refer to the script in the following blog.

  • Passing filters to hyperlinks in BI Publisher-Obiee 11g integrated report

    Hi,
I've a report requirement to build a BIP report in integration with OBIEE.
In my dashboard, I've a dashboard prompt, obiee reports and a BIP report.
BIP report contains hyperlinks (created in template builder) which direct me to the obiee report pages.
Now, when u apply the prompts, BIP report filters the data accordingly and displays it in the same page. (OBIEE reports also gets filtered accordingly).
After this, when I click on the hyperlinks it takes me to the obiee page which is NOT filtered according to the prompt.
So I would like to know how do I use the filters in these links?
Can I please get some help on how to make this work? This is an urgent requirement!
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    You can try these steps
On the BI Publisher 11.1.1.5, Go to Administration --> System Maintenance --> Server Configuration. Under the catalog heading,Test Connection. If the connection is successful, then click on the button Upload to Bi Presentation Catalog".
After the above step you should be able to see your folder under catalog.
Let me know if this helped.

  • Sharepoint 2013 and SSRS 2012 Integration - Report Server Content Types not displayed

    Hello, Everyone:
I installed SSRS 2012 on our Sharepoint 2013 application server following the step-by-step instruction from the posting below:
      http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219068.aspx
Everything goes well after STEP 3 is completed.
I did see the reporting services started and SSRS service application created.
However, when I created a new site and tried to enable the predefined Reporting Services content types, I do not see the Shared data source (.rsds) files, report models (.smdl), and Report Builder report definition (.rdl) 3 types of files listed at
    all.
Further more, when I go to the Provision Subscriptions and Alerts page, I keep getting a "SQL Server Agent state cannot be determined" error, even though the username and password provided is the admin user
    for the database.
Any experience of what is wrong with the SSRS - Sharepoint integration? Please help!
    Tina

    Hello, Treavor:
Now that the content types problem is resolved, I need to come back to the
    Provision Subscriptions and Alerts page.
I guess I'm a little confused about what is being asked for the Provision Subscriptions and Alerts  page.
The user I provided on the Provision Subscriptions and Alerts  page is my user-defined sysadmin role. And the page takes that.
When I downloaded the SQL script, it was trying to give the automatically generated user "sa-SPDevContentAppPo" permission.
Which user are we using to detect the SQL Server Agent?
      Thanks again!

  • Integrating Reports from SQL Server Reporting Services

    Dear Experts,
I am given the URL to a report from SQL Server Reporting Services. The URL looks like
    [http://<report_server_host>/ReportServer/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?/<category>/<report>&<list_of_parameter_value_pairs>]
When this URL is executed, the user will be prompted for user name and password.
And I am given the following requirements:
    - Integrate the report into SAP NetWeaver Portal
    - The report has to be passed parameters with values generated at runtime and which must be hidden (because it is sensitive data)
Initially, I have been working on two options:
    1. using Application Integrator (portal application: com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap, portal component: Generic)
    2. using URL iView
With the Application Integrator, however, I got the following error:
The operation you are attempting on item "/" is not allowed for this item type. (rsWrongItemType)
I cannot find the solution to this. It looks like the URL which contain "/" after "?" is not appropriate for the Application Integrator.
So I turn my focus away from the Application Integrator, but to using the URL iView instead. And in order to hide the parameters passed, I make the following settings in the URL iView:
    Request Method = POST
    Fetch Mode = Server-Side
But then I got the following error:
Failed to fetch the content. The response status was 401.
    Message:
(I have defined an HTTP system and used it in the URL iView.)
Does anyone know how to fix the errors (either with the Application Integrator or the URL iView)?
Your answers will be much appreciated!
    Regards
    Sakprasat Sum

    Hi
Was a solution for this found?
I am trying to achieve the same thing, create an iView that links to an existing SQL Reporting Services report.
    Cheers,
    Andrew

  • SSRS sharepoint integrated report refershes after 60 secs of idle time

    Hi All
we have SSRS 2012 report integrated with sharepoint 2013  in which when we click on any toggle item after some idle time of 60 secs then  it refreshing complete report .
    what we observered.
    1. there is no problem when we expand toggle items without idle item.
    2. when we open the report ond expand few toggles and keep idle for 60 seconds and try to expand another toggle item then  complete report refresh is happening with all toggle items are collapsing.
    3. If you keep idle for 60 minutes and if you didnt do any action like expanding toggle items it is not refreshing.
why it is happening how to stop that complete refresh.
    Surendra Thota

    Hi Surendra_Thota,
According to your description, there is SSRS drilldown report of sharepoint integrated mode, when you expand toggle after 60 seconds idle time, the report will be completely refreshed, and all toggle items are collapsed.
The report session keeps alive by pinging the server periodically for every N-1 second, where N being the timeout of the session set within Reporting Service. In this case, the report session has already expired in one minute and hence whenever we access
the page after one minute, the report will be completely refreshed. To solve the problem, we can increase the report session timeout for Reporting service 2012 in SharePoint integrated mode by following steps:
Browse the SharePoint central administration URL and navigate to Application Management -> Manage service applications (Under Service Applications).
Select the Reporting services service application and click on manage.
    Click on System Settings.
Locate the Session Timeout setting. We can change it to 1200.
    Click on OK.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Urgent Please: Cannot publish Reports to the Sharepoint Integrated - Reporting Services Login

    Hi,
    Sharepoint 2010 / SQL Server 2008 R2
The user I am using in BIDS to deploy the reports has Admin permission to the site collection and databases.
Reporting Services Login prompt all times and I can´t go ahead to publish the reports.
I ve reviewed my deployment properties -
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb283155(SQL.90).aspx
The same test works to my dedicated server (Sharepoint and SQL Server in the same machine) but not to the enviorement bellow:
Server 1 - SSED, SSAS, SSRS, Sharepoint Web Front (minimal installation)
Server 2 - Sharepoint Server 2010 (SSRS Sharepoint Integration Mode)
I´ve read all the discussions and articles I couldn´t find anything conclusive.
    Please, any clues?!
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex Berenguer

Hi Syed, thank you so much for your help. I have already spent many hours in order to solve this issue but nothing so far.
The Web Application I created to test it has a Business Intellicente Center as Site Collection. The Report Services features is running on it. I checked it. Thanks.
Follow more details I ´ve discovered:
    Here's the scenario:
I have a Web Front End (WFE) server, and an Application Server (AS) in a Sharepoint 2010 Farm.  The configuration database, content database, etc.. are located on a clustered SQL 2008 R2 instance on another set of machines.  I have installed SQL
2008 R2 Reporting Services w SP1 on the AS.  I have installed the SQL 2008 Reporting Services Add-In for Sharepoint 2010 on the WFE.  I have gone through all the configuraiton settings, set the SPNs for the service accounts, etc... The Excel Services
with external data, for example, is working fine.
When the reporting services integration is set to "Trusted Account", I can deploy reports to the server with no problem, EXCEPT that I can't deploy data sources that use "Windows Authentication" as their credentials, which is desirable for our implementation.
When I switch the reporting services instance to "Windows Authentication", I can no longer deploy projects to the report server.  When I go to deploy the reports, I continually get a "Reporting Services Login" prompt, showing the server it is being deployed
to, and requesting a username and password.  No combination of username and password works.
Here's a fun little bit for you too, if I continue to try to login to the server, I will eventually (after hitting the GPO threshold) lock out my account from Active Directory.  This I found out after nearly creating a set of tracks down my scalp all
day today trying to figure out what was happening to my sharepoint sites while I was debugging this....
So it seems that it is trying to authenticate my login credentials through BIDS, but is unable to do so.
Also, when I attempt to "Manage Datasource" directly through the Sharepoint interface I am getting 401 errors.
    I appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks a lot.
    Alex Berenguer

  • SharePoint 2013 SSRS integration Report keep refreshing while display in ipad

I had deploy the ssrs report in SharePoint Integration mode, but report keep refreshing by pop up the loading animation and cannot display the report eventually. It only happens in ipad 2/3 and iphone 4(ios 7), but the report can be display completely
when i view it in iphone 5 or any other lates android device. Is it something to do with the responsive layout? I'm desperate to find a solution to cater the problem since some of my clients insist to use the mobile device to view the report. Much appreciation

What version of the SSRS addin do you have deployed? Have you possibly tried updating it (the current latest update is CU9 for SQL 2012 SP1 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2931078/en-us; you would want the file named 2012_SP1_RSShrPnt_CU9_2931078_11_0_3412_x64).

    Hello Carla,
The link indicated by Philipp just move to this URL
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/GettingStarted/index/index.html. (Sorry for that)
Watch the Reports/JDev integration viewlets in the demonstration section.
To be able to execute a Reports JSP from JDev you should be in the JDeveloper of the 9iDS. (9i Developer Suite). You can also check you Jdev 'Run' property to check if the Embeded OC4J server starts with all IIOP parameter. (FYI:a Reports JSP communicate with the Reports Server using Corba)
    1. Right click on you project in the system navigator
    2. Choose 'Project Setting'
    3. In the Runner Entry you should have a Java option like :
    -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBClass=com.inprise.vbroker.orb.ORB -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=com.inprise.vbroker.orb.ORB
(This option is automaticaly added if you select New, Reports JSP from JDeveloper)
